Fur & Feathers Wildlife Control Reviews (51)

Review: Last fall, Fur and Feathers Wildlife came out to our home to resolve an issue with bats in our attic. They handled the situation in a couple weeks and we were satisfied. The only minor issue at the time was that [redacted], the owner, was supposed to provide me with a full written report but never did. Now this summer, our [redacted] representative found feces in our attic - after several phone calls we placed, [redacted] finally came out and confirmed that indeed, bats had gotten in through the chimney area. [redacted]'s team did come out to resolve the issue, however, shortly thereafter, we again saw feces in the same spot. After several phone calls to the company yet again, we finally had a team member come out to our house and advise it was mice droppings. Regardless of the animal species, our contract included a 5 year guarantee that no wildlife would be able to enter the attic due to their sealing of all possible openings. Therefore, we tried calling the company several times to get them out again, to no avail. Our [redacted] representative was back at our house a couple weeks ago and again saw feces that, in his professional opinion, were not mice. I have contacted the company several times since then and, as of yet, have not heard back. My last voicemail to them explained that I would be filing a Revdex.com complaint.Desired Settlement: My expectation is that the company uphold its 5 year warranty; they need to come back out to my house and resolve the wildlife issue in my attic.

Review: We contracted with this business to trap and exclude flying squirrels from our residence. We provided the downpayment as per the service contract. Their technician did perform some work. It appeared as if the squirrels might have left so I paid the balance due, with the assurance that, if I heard any more noises, they would return immediately to fix the problem. My second mistake. (The first was not consulting the Revdex.com site and otherwise doing my homework on this outfit.) The noises returned the next day. After many calls, I finally did get some response: another tech came and set a lot more traps. That was the last contact with them, in spite of promises to return and complete the "exclusion" tasks. Bottom line: no squirrels were trapped, calls are not returned, our money is gone with almost nothing to show for it. Since then, we have spent many hours trying to track down the owner, [redacted]. It appears that he moves fairly frequently. Of the many addresses that we have found online, only one PO Box in [redacted] seems to be active. Of the numerous phone numbers we find online associated with him and/or his business, they are all either disconnected or dump you to the same recorded message that nobody responds to. He seems to have been successful at making it almost impossible to locate him. I would conclude that the treatment we got is a typical modus operandi of this company and owner.Desired Settlement: We have lost faith in this company actually completing the work promised. As the stipulations of trapping and exclusion were never met, we believe that we are entitled to a refund of our money.

Review: My father paid this company $1,500 to get rid of mice in our attic. The contract came with a 2-year warranty, the terms of which stipulated that if the mice came back, Fur & Feathers Wildlife Control employees would return to our house and get rid of the mice for no extra charge. The initial extermination either did not work or was not done, as the mice reappeared soon after Fur & Feathers completed the work. Attempts by my father to contact the company were unsuccessful, as company representatives never answer the phone, always leaving the voicemail to pick up; do not return messages; and have no physical address aside from a P.O. box. Since the company does everyhing in its power not to be easy to contact, and given their evident pattern of not performing work, I suspect that they are running a scam.Desired Settlement: I would like Fur & Feathers Wildlife Control to refund my father [redacted]'s two $750 checks totalling $1,500.

Review: On 9-21-12 a contract was signed between myself and [redacted] of this company who claims he is the owner of the business. The contract states that the bats will be removed from the premises and all fecal matter cleaned up, and has a 5 year warranty. I paid them a $1000 deposit and they came several times, eliminated the bats, cleaned the attic and said to let them know if there were any additional problems. I paid them the remainder of the $2000 total bill. On July 1st 2013 the tenants in the house started seeing bats every day in the living area of the house. They came out July 3rd and said there were no bats in attic and that they were coming in through window screens and told us to tape the corners of the screens, which we did. The tenants continued having bats in the living area, and we called this company every day and left messages. Finally on July 16th, they came back and [redacted] went into the attic (apparently the previous worker never actually went into the attic) and said there were again tons of bats up there, and that they would be back to seal them out of the house, then again for a cleanup when they were all out. They returned July 29th to seal up the house, and I scheduled the final appointment with [redacted] for the attic cleanup for August 16th at 9am. They never showed up, and we have called them at least 20-30 times and they never have so much as returned any calls. That is not what I consider a 5 year warranty.Desired Settlement: I would like them to honor their 5 year warranty, or I would like a large portion of my $2000 payment returned, since they only honored their contract for less than 10 months.

Review: Service not provided as agreed, no in timely manner

Calls to attempt to resolve/inquire about service(s) unanswered over monthsDesired Settlement: Refunded monies invested for incomplete work and lack of warranty follow through

Review: This "company" charged us $1,200 for bat exclusion from our attic on 6/13/2013 and provided us with a 5 year warranty from that date forward should there be any reoccurrence. The bats have returned, Fur and Feathers has not. We have left 10- 20 unreturned messages over the last few months. Recently, we turned to the internet to see if we were the only victims of this fraud and, lo and behold, we are far from alone. The Revdex.com has something like 59 similar complaints lodged against Jason C[redacted] and his company. We are saddened and angry to be number 60.Desired Settlement: We want our money back.

Review: Company promptly provided a wildlife extraction service however, sealing up the invaded area was poor and resulted in a subsequent animal invasion. Four (4) UNRETURNED messages to resolve the situation have resulted in my complaint.Desired Settlement: Remove the existing animals and PROPERLY seal the invaded area.

Review: Contracted work was never completed. Scope of work included sealing ole where wildlife entered home and repairing siding.Desired Settlement: Complete service as contracted or provide refund against $450 contract funds paid.

Review: August 24, 2013

I hired Fin and Feathers October 2011 for bat removal. The company was wonderful and professional.

We have a five year contract with them, for any reason if we have bats in the house again, they guarantee their work and will come back for as many times as it takes to extract them.

In June of 2013 we noticed that we were having bat feces in the house again. I called the company and left a message. [redacted] the vice president returned my call and made an appointment for that Saturday.

[redacted] came to the house late Saturday afternoon and asked to see the paper work and contact to verify the contract was still valid. He looked in the Attic at the back of the house and did not see any signs of bats. He then looked in the second attack space in the front of the house and said yes they have been in there but it does not look like an infestation. He stated that on the following Tuesday or Wednesday he would call me and have someone come over and hang the nets on the house allowing the bats to leave and not reenter, than after a period of time they would return to remove the nets, clean the feces and deodorize the area for odor and bat insects.

My husband and I also told [redacted] we were waiting for a roofing contractor to get back to us on putting on a new roof. He stated it was good we told him because that would void the contract we had with him. He said that when the roof was completed to contact him and they would come out and check the work and make sure things were ok, and the contract would still be valid for the full 5 years.

[redacted] never called, and workers never showed. I have called the company 2/3 times a week asking them to please come and uphold the contract. Since [redacted] was at the house we have seen bats flying around inside and have not been able to extract them ourselves. I also left messages on when the new roof would be completed. My last phone call to the company was in Late August telling them that I was going to call the Revdex.com and the Attorney General's office if they could not rectify the problem. As of today I have still not heard from them.

I believe a fair resolution would be for the company to uphold our contract.

Sincerely,Desired Settlement: see Attached document

Review: Fur & Feathers was contacted to remove a rat from our residence. They came for an evaluation on 9/30/13, set traps on 10/1/13 and said they would be back everyday to check the traps and if they did not catch it after 4 days they would try another route for removal. They requested payment the day the traps were set for $250.00 which we provided in a check. "[redacted]" (man who set up the traps) returned on 10/2/13 and checked the traps but there was nothing in them, he said he would "be back tomorrow" (meaning 10/3/13). He never returned, nor did anyone else from the company. My husband and I have called repeatedly to the various phone numbers listed on the website but it always goes to the same voicemail, no calls have been returned.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the job not being completed and the frustration of putting our faith in a local company.

Review: On 03/26/2014 we received an estimate for removal of squirrels in our attic by a representative named [redacted]. On 04/07/2014 the owner, [redacted], came to our house and installed 3 squirrel traps on top of the roof. [redacted] told my wife he would check the traps once a day and if none was home he would leave a note on the door saying he was there. On 04/08/2014 [redacted] showed up to check the traps. No one was out to check the traps on 04/09, 04/10 & 04/11. On 04/12 I called [redacted] to ask why no one was out and he stated he had [redacted] coming out to check the traps and I told him no one was out as there was someone at our home all the time and he stated he would be out at 5pm to check the traps. I stated to him that the squirrels were still in the attic and nothing was caught so I would like him to pick up his traps and refund the money I had paid to him. He stated he would be out at 5pm to pick up the traps and would send a refund to me on 04/14/2014. At 3pm a representative named [redacted] showed up to remove the traps and would reinstall them on 04/14/2014 and I told him the traps were to be removed and a refund was to be issued due to no action and [redacted] hadn't check the traps. [redacted] stated [redacted] had been fired on 04/04/2014 as [redacted] had taken him home and taken [redacted]s truck back to [redacted]. I told [redacted] I would hold the traps until I received the refund and he stated he didn't blame me as [redacted] probably was not going to issue a refund as he had other people looking for him for similar problems. I removed the traps and found damage to my roof due to [redacted] driving deck screws through the roof which are now leaks that I have to repair. I waited until 04/17/2014 and have been calling to find out where my refund is and he hasn't returned my calls. [redacted] has numerous adresses [redacted], PA [redacted], PA [redacted], NY [redacted] and a few others. His phone numbers are ###-###-####, this number rings through to his cell phone ###-###-####. He also has 35 other phone numbers that ring through to his cell phone.Desired Settlement: I am looking for $400.00 which was 1/2 the charge up front on starting the traping. $35.00 estimate refund and cost of the repair of our roof due to the damage done by driving deck screws into roof causing leaks.
