Roofer left vents and roof pipes open & unsealed Installed complete gutter system- not part of contract & ask for payment. Damaged concrete driveway.
Garabar Roofing completed my roof. Since then I've had issues with rodens, palmetto bugs in my attic. I called critter control and confirmed my attic was infested with mice & palmetto bugs and that the roof vents and pipes replaced by the roofer was left open without any mesh coverings.The fascia wood are not completely sealed all throughout the entire roofing system. The roofers damaged/ cracked several areas of my concrete driveway. A complete gutter system was installed without my knowledge or my permission and was not part of the contract. I woke up from sleep and found the the gutter man had completely installed an entire gutter system . I told him only my front door entry way area was suppose to have gutter as part of the contract. The gutter man stated, *** w Garabar Roofing told him to install entire gutter system. Few days later I received an email with a change order contract with the cost of the gutter from *** Requesting for my signature. I immediately called *** and reminded him that was not part of the contract. He got upset and said if I did not sign it he would send someone to take it down. I tried to explain to him that I did not have money for this extra unexpected expense and may consider only if he reduced the price and work out some form of payment plan. *** did not respond. ***'s staff also damaged part of my concrete driveway. *** would not address the damages and stated he would care for the driveway after I have paid full balance for roofing and gutter system. I told *** not to come to my property anymore nor his staff.
The complete Roofing system is for $26,500. Of which I have paid:
11/21/18 $ 6600
1/22/19 $13,275
Total paid thus far is $19,875
Balance owed $6,625 before wood expense.
Claimed wood cost $2060 ( questionable) still pending evidence of rotten plywood and fascia board to justify cost of wood cost.
Gutter cost ( NOT part of contract) $2400.
Stick to the contract and keep it professional. Stop making false claims. Remove gutter cost as it's not part of the contract . Provide me w lien release. Provide photos of rotten wood that were replaced. Provide final passed roof inspection provide fund or deduct cost of concrete driveway repair from roof balance. Pay for exterminator treatment rodens and palmetto bugs in my attic from staff negligence of leaving vent & pipes open.

best roofing company in FLORIDA!!! my roof is beautiful! the crew was great, very organized, thorough and cleaned up after themselves. I couldn't have asked for a more smoother process! the time frame was amazing! I enjoy coming home to see my new roof everyday

Our roof was in bad shape, but thanks to Garabar, it no longer is! The new roof is great, and everyone we spoke to was professional and courteous throughout the whole process. We would definitely use them again in the future, and recommend them to others who may need work on their roofs.

Garabar was very thorough throughout the process of replacing my roof. There was one glitch that happened because of the Christmas Holiday, but Garabar responded quickly to resolve the issue. Would highly recommend.
We strongly recommend this Garabar, Inc. for your roofing needs. The crew worked hard and efficiently to install our roof. The crew was polite. We recommend speaking to Jack R. who will walk you through the process. We are happy with our roof.
First off, we started looking for a roofing company in May. I asked for recommendations from friends and on our local blogs in our community. Certain companies did stand out. This was during a time when we had a huge amount of rain over the previous month. Based on these recommendations, I could not get anyone to call me back or it was going to take 3 to 4 weeks to get anyone out to even look at our roof. One of those companies was one that I used before. After endless no return calls, or sky high estimates, I decided to search the internet for a roofing company. I found one that seemed to stand out, Garabar Roofing. I called them, and they were nice from the start. They had Jack call me back, within 30 minutes of my initial phone call and he was able to come out that day to look at our roof. WOW! I couldn't believe it! He was pleasant to deal with and gave me an estimate right there on the roof repair. He was upfront and honest about what he thought about the repair. I also wanted an estimate to replace the whole roof and he emailed that estimate the same day! I had my roofing company! I decided to replace my whole roof and Jack made the process very easy from the start. The longest part was waiting for permits. Once that was done and I was scheduled, it took no time at all. The roof was done within 2 weeks, and the longest part again was waiting for the Dry In inspection. They were professional and left the property as clean as it was before they started. I had my roof complete within 2 months of starting the process with Garabar. Most of it being permits/inspections. Considering what I had been through prior to that, I was very happy and impressed with the way Garabar and Jack took me through this process. They made it seem easy. Don't hesitate to call on them, you will not be disappointed!
Professional and friendly! The work was started promptly and executed efficiently. They even cleaned up after themselves! I was beyond please.
Harassment at work, threats, and poor customer service by Garabar, Inc. Roofing Company
The main complaint now is harassment by Garabar for a "balance" owed to them. Garabar has been repeatedly calling my work place starting a month (September 5, 2018) AFTER all work was completed and paid for. All final payments, warranties, inspections, and job completion signatures were completed on or before August 2, 2018. All invoices with remaining balances were presented and paid for on August 2, 2018. I have copies of all the documents, warranties, invoices, change orders and payments. Garabar is now requesting an additional "premium" which was not included in any of their quotes, invoices, or change orders. Garabar is now threatening to void the warranty on the roof and/or put a lien on my house if this premium is not paid.
In addition, I do not think this business should have a Revdex.com endorsement or a high rating. Their customer service was poor. I had to repeatedly call them or email them to inquire as to the status of scheduling the reroofing. The whole process was started in April of 2018 and was not completed until the end of July. I understand that there can be delays due to weather but at no point was I ever contacted to let me know the status. I always had to call or email them and did not always get a response. I had to finally email the owner to get a response and to get the reroofing scheduled.
The quality of work seems to be adequate and acceptable. I don't have any complaints about that. However, to date, I am still finding roof nails and washers around my yard. I have probably found at least two dozens. Luckily I have not had any flat tires, or worse foot injuries.
I want Garabar to stop harassing me at my work place and to stop contacting me. I also want them to honor their warranty.
Supported by the attached documents, the customer has not paid his balance due in full. The customer was provided a closing package that detailed the amount still owed (attached). The current statement of account has the charges and payments made to date along with the original signed contract (attached). A Waiver and Release of Lien upon Final Payment was executed with the final contract amount (attached). As per the signed contract, failure to make payment is a breach of the contract and shall terminate all warranties (attached).
Interesting that they came up with an invoice months after the closing with a hand written balance. A closing is final. There is no such thing as miscellaneous charges after a closing.
The purpose of the handwritten information on the statement of account was for the benefit of Mr. to clarify that he has a PAST DUE BALANCE and has NOT PAID that PAST DUE BALANCE.
There are no miscellaneous charges. The UNFORESEEN invoice is for the "Unforeseen items as needed" listed on Mr. executed contract with Garabar, Inc. (see the highlight attached executed contract). This same signed contract by Mr. clearly states that "Failure to make payment pursuant to this contract shall be considered a breach of this contract and shall terminate all warranties and relieve Garabar, Inc. of any contractual obligations and liabilities". Garabar demands payment in full for the contracted services provided or by the terms of the contract, the warranty will be terminated.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Unforeseen items in the contract refer to additional materials and work that were not anticipated on the original quote. Payment was made for additional materials (e.g. wood) at CLOSING. The invoices clearly reflect that payment was made for the additional materials. Failure on Garabar's part to disclose and request payment for ALL materials and services BEFORE or AT closing does not constitute an Unforeseen item. Based on Garabar's argument, they could invent any new charge for services or materials after closing and call it an Unforeseen Item. This seems like a very unscrupulous business practice. Garabar Inc.'s claim to void a warranty based on additional charges after closing is a breach of contract. Failure to honor a warranty they signed at closing will result in legal action. Revdex.com please make this complaint public so that other customers will be aware of Garabar's business practices.
Used Garabar Inc. for years several times including new roof. Every time great service, excellent workmanship. Just great company.
The office staff was very courteous and responsive. Jack *** came to the house promptly to give an estimate. The workmanship was professional and the worksite was clean when I arrived home after the repairs. They repaired barrel tile roof, underlayment and replaced water damaged roof trusses. I highly recommend Garabar roofing and would use them in the future if needed. Always use a licensed and insured company for roof repairs!
Our home needed a roof repair and this company did a great job. They responded quickly and had a gentleman come out the same day to give us a quote. The gentleman was friendly, professional and up front. This company gave us the lowest quote and did a great job fixing our roof. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs roof services
Garabar did a great job on my roof replacement. It was amazing how quickly the work was completed. They were extremely professional whenever I called and always sent me whatever I needed right away. While it would be nice to have one contact throughout the entire project, this was our 2nd time doing business with them and we wouldn't go anywhere else.
Garabar has done 2 roofing repair project on my house and both have been complete. Their staff is extremely quick and reliable. They completed the job in a day. I recommend them for any of your roofing needs.
They repaired my roof and installed gutters. Their workers were friendly and skilled and they completed the project within budget. Garabar admin support was pleasant to work with.
It's been pouring rain, reminding me that I should provide a review regarding the roofer. I am watching the job our roof, gutters, and down spouts moving the water away from the house.
Garabar provided the most detailed estimate for replacing our roof and the best references from neighbors within a few blocks. They matched the lowest bid we received. No surprises at the end.
It has been almost two years since the job was completed. It stood up to Irma.
Every aspect of the work and the relationship with Garabar has been great.
Garabar installed a new roof for us in early 2018. They came in just about on budget and we're satisfied with their performance.
I needed a total roof replacement for the flat roof on my 1931 Spanish Mission home. The hall was showing water damage and self patching wasn't cutting it anymore. I got several quotes and I chose Garabar for 3 reasons:
#1 Their quote was the lowest
#2 Their warranty on my new roof was 10 years, the other quotes were 7 years or less
#3 They used the newest tech, my new roof is sealed with a thick bright white membrane that they use on commercial roofs, the other quotes were for the old tar and asphalt.
They took awhile to get started because of permits and other jobs but once they did the crew worked every minute for 3.5 days to completion. They handled the demo well in spite of the difficult access, the other companies acted like that was going to be a really big deal.
The roof is even more impressive than we expected and I swear it's paying for itself in A/C savings.
