Town and Country Ford only performed collision repair on the Ranger, no maintenance work was performed nor was the repairs due to the wreck related to the engineSo the issue with the engine was not do to anything we did while in our positionThe customer had admitted to me that they had never changed the oil in the truck since purchasing the vehicle in Sept of The customer’s collision insurance company declined paying for the engine because they agreed that the engine locking up was due to lack of oil in the engine onlyThe fact of the oil had never been changed in five months is the real issueTown and Country feels we are not responsible for nothing other than the body work that was done to the Ranger Regards, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowRegards, [redacted] I am not satisfied with the business response, I feel that this problem is there mistake and they do not want to take ownership in there mistakeI have been getting me oil changed from them every since I have had my carand the last visit in July there had to be a mistake done with not enough oil being put into my car as usualwhen I got my oil changed the usual guy that changes my oil was fixing another persons car and so another guy came and gave my car an oil changeI always get my oil changed 3-months prior to the next onewhen my mechanic checked my car he even said the same thing their was lack of oil and the oil that they where putting in my car was not strong enough and the oil that they were puttying in my car was not the right oil for my carYes they put synthetic oil in my car but my car needed synthetic 0-but that was not being put in my car they had been putting regular synthetic oil into my carmy cheapest oil is dollars a quart and my car takes quarts, they charge me an oil change so think about it, if they charge me an oil change that means they are not giving me the right oil for my car, my car was getting cheap oil put into it11*7=dollars so that should be the amount I would be paying if I was getting the type of oil for my car I feel that this problem wouldn't have happen if I didn't put my trust in there hands, I would think that if I go to my dealership and get my oil change that I wouldn't have and worries or problems but I guess I was wrongI'm not trying to play anyone into getting my car fix because I have a job and I could get this car fix, but this problem has come from this business and I feel that I shouldn't have to pay for someone elses mistake towards my car that I know that they didI just want my car fix that it, that's all i'm asking forand [redacted] said he didn't have a salesperson by that name, but his name is on my papers as him being the salesperson who sold me my carI just want to know why when I asked them to take a look at my motor they never took a look at itlike my mechanic said this burning has been going on in my oil for along time it just didn't start it just got worstif they would have took a look at my motor they would have seen thatwhen I bought my car they were putting regular gas into my car in my car takes premium gas, so that's how I know they didn't car about that car they just wanted to sell it

Complaint # [redacted] In regards to the complaint files by Ms [redacted] First let me say at no time EVER did anyone “threaten to kill her”, that statement is absolutely not true and positively never happened! Ms [redacted] has brought her car in with a few complaints as to a braking problemAt that time we did take it to the Dodge store for repair and put here in a rental while the car was being worked onMs [redacted] is correct in the statement she has an extended warranty that covers the repairsShe also stated we have refused to cover other items that the extended warranty will cover? If it’s covered we have no reason to refuse a repairEven if she takes it elsewhere the warranty will cover the repairs, they just need the R.O and who to send the check toCarfax does report that there was an accident but it was described a minor one and was from behindWe have spoken to Ms [redacted] on many occasions on the issues she says she has with the car, but unfortunately we have not been able to duplicateI would remind her if she is unhappy with the service we have tried to perform that the warranty is honored anywhere

We have spoken to Ms [redacted] before and after this compliant was fileShe has a clear understanding that in order to find the best terms for her to obtain a car we must shop her loanAs of Wednesday the customer has asked us to proceed with communication with multiple lending institutions to obtain her loan

Ms***’s statements as to the fact are incorrectHer father (Mr [redacted] ) came to us to trade cars and negotiated a deal with him representing the trade in as free and clearNever did her father ever have or present a title to us for review, all paperwork he signed and AGREED to be correct showed the car had no payoffWhen we contacted the customer regarding the issue he threatened my people with harm and cursing continuouslyThe facts are Mr [redacted] took out a loan against the trading in a few days prior and never informed us when negotiating the dealMs***’s insinuations that we have done something wrong do to him having cognitive issues is offensiveIt seems by her trying to place the blame on us, she is suggesting that we ask ever elderly person when they come in to buy a vehicle if they are mentally capableMr [redacted] negotiated a deal for more than an hour, going back and forthNever did he represent any signs of not being able to handle his own affairsI believe Mr [redacted] knew he was trading in a car that he had just taken out a loan on and though that the threats and verbal abuse would make us just give up on trying to collect The conclusion to this is that we will trade cars back with Mr [redacted] and ask that he does not come back or have contact with any of our employees

I would like to start by saying that all genuine Ford motor company parts are warranted nationwide for two years unlimited milesSecondly, the fuel pressure regulator (part # [redacted] )has an MSRP of $from Ford (see attached) not $Obviously [redacted] Ford is pricing something differentI have analyzed RO# [redacted] and I see noting out of line on the repair, infact Town and Country Ford put Mr [redacted] n rental from [redacted] for days at Town and Country Ford's expenseI simply do not agree with M [redacted] 's claim, I see an EXTREMELY repair with 182,miles 6.0L diesel engine [redacted] Service Mgr

Due to Ford still not being able to supply us with the part needed to fix the customers truck, Town and Country purchased Sgt [redacted] 's truck on 07/29/This enabled the customer to get back to duty and [redacted] school in ColoradoAs a good will gesture and as a way to say thanks to Sgt [redacted] for his service we refunded him $of his service bill.Best regards,Town and Country

[redacted] In regards to the customers complaint, as the customer has stated in the complaint we have tried to satisfy himUnfortunately we are finding that that is not possible, service has driven it with the customer and a sales managerThe “shaking” that he refers to is what has been explained as a characteristic of the cylinder DartThe wheels are not the issue, this has been explainedAs for the comments in reference to [redacted] When Mr [redacted] was riding with the customer the customer became argumentative and threatenedFinally Mr [redacted] asked him to stop the car many miles from the dealership and got outIf the statement was as the customer stated why would Mr [redacted] ask to get out far from the dealership? As of this past Wednesday we currently have Ms [redacted] 's car in service and addressing the issuesMs [redacted] is in a rental so she is not inconveniencedWe will review the findings and correct if when we find what it is

[redacted] The customer was explained that the [redacted] is not a recall, it is an “Extended Coverage Program”Therefore it is only replaced if [redacted] is causing the concern, Town and Country Ford charges $diagnostic feeIf the concern is caused by ***, Ford Motor Co would absorb the $If concern is caused by some other issue customer is responsible for the diagnostic chargeThis is Ford’s policy not Town and Country Ford’s [redacted] Service Manager

In regards to Mrs*** complaint regarding her father's purchase of a vehicle from usHer father arrived at the dealership asking to purchase a vehicle; at no time did he seem to have any issues with being able to handle his own affairsHer father test drove the vehicle and negotiated the deal as
would have any other customerAgain, at no time demonstrating any signs of not being able to understand what he was signingMrs*** came to us after finding out that he had purchased a vehicle with the claims he had dementia but had nothing from a doctorThe power of attorney was limited and does not take away his right to conduct any business for himself, With that, we are obligated by the privacy act not to discuss his purchase without him being presentThat same day Mrs*** took her father's keys away from him, so his solution was to have the vehicle towed to us and a *** set cutClearly this is not a dispute with the person who bought the car and us, but yet a dispute between a father and daughter.For Mrs*** to state that we took advantage of her father because he came to us to purchase a vehicle is offensive to me, With that statement by Mrs*** to me is suggesting that we ask every elderly person if they are capable of handling there on affairs when they walk through our door, if he truly has dementia he did not have any traits or signs of itWe have since asked her father if he would like us to take his vehicle back, his response was absolutely not!

In regards to customers complaint regarding the "one" hard check on his creditThe customer did sign an app giving us permission to run his creditThe purpose of this is to protect both the customer and the dealership from fraudWe deliver vehicles on the spot before getting paid when its a
outside lien sourceThis one pull of credit insures that we are doing business with someone who has the ability to obtain financing with an outside sourceA one time pull does not effect credit scores nor inhibits one from obtaining credit elsewhere

In regards to the issue of “sale price”, we advertise what a customer qualifies for in rebatesUnfortunately you did not qualify for some of the rebates listed, and I am truly sorry for the confusion on thatAs for the other dealers, we make sure our advertised pricing is real
and obtainable for our customersTown and Country does not exclude destination or have an exorbitant doc fee that covers up the unattainable pricesAgain, I am truly sorry for what seems to be our part for explaining how it works poorly
