I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved
Regards,

The customer on May 5, came into service for an oil changeAfter the tech raised the car in the air he noticed the sub-frame (not the differential as stated in the complaint by her ***) was unsafe and needed more than $in repairs to make the Fusion safe to driveShe came to the
sales deck and enquired about tradingWe spoke to her about the options she had in fixing her 07’ and the difference in trading it in “ as is”The customer decided on her own to trade, she was informed of the value of her year old car with the sub-frame in need of replacing and decided to tradeThe statement her *** is making in the complaint is falseThere is no year loans available by any bank and the car was financed for years which she was well aware of
As a goodwill offering to the *** that came up yelling at the manger and threating to harm the salesman we refunded the customer $and put new tires on the one she purchasedSo with those two dollar amounts being added to the $we gave her, puts the 07’ Fusion at an actual cash value of $Well over its current worth with a sub-frame problemSo I do not see how anyone could say we cheated herLastly, I believe in meeting her she is very capable of making any decision on her own and clearly understood the dangers of driving the 07’ FusionShe felt it is more important to be safe than the money she spent. The customer just on Tuesday brought the sales manager a picture frame to say thank you. So obviously she does not feel the same as her children

In regards to the customers complaint concerning the engine issueThe facts are that we did change her oil back in June 2014, and at that time it had no issuesThe claims that we are at fault just because we changed the oil, I believe to be a secondary
problemWe have looked at the records and the amount of oil was correctly usedThe real issue seems to be the length of time that elapsed between June and December when the engine went outThe owner’s manual states the length of time that is acceptable and she was way over thatAlso stated in the manual is for the owner to check oil levels frequently do to that fact an engine with over hundred thousand miles will burn oilI am sorry that this has happened, but I do not feel that we have any responsibility for the repairsAs for the salesman she says she spoke to, I do not have anyone by that name.

Mr. [redacted]’s discriminatory comments towards ones age or disability, opinions and judgements are illegal, unnecessary and unprofessional. It is common practice that when a customer purchases a vehicle, a search history is often performed to ensure the car’s condition. Vice versa for the dealership on trade ins and the dealership searches the cars history and registration to protect itself. Otherwise, some stolen or lemon vehicles would wind up as trade ins and the dealership would be in trouble. In this situation, a lien was placed on the vehicle 3 weeks prior to the first time the customer came to Town and Country. Having said, I am relieved that Mr. [redacted] is offering to resolve this particular situation and provide the original vehicle to the customer in exchange for the vehicle the customer purchased and both parties can agree to part ways. I wait for Mr. [redacted] to follow through on his word, schedule a time to exchange the vehicles and complete any necessary paperwork required for proper and legal vehicle registration. This includes removing and resolving my father’s name from the new vehicles financial paperwork. If so, complaint resolved.

First let me say that I am sorry for the issue you have had. We will be glad as promised to buff car completely and remove any small dents on the roof that you mentioned. Unfortunately the request for a refund for this is not possible but we will make it right for you. Just contact your...

salesperson for a time that will work and we will provide you with a rental.

In regards to Mr. [redacted]’s complaint, The reason we kept the $100.00 was because countless times we asked him to come by to work out the issue we were having getting him approved. According to the manager working on his deal the effort was never made and...

the approval we had expired. Although this is the facts I will refund the $100.00 to the customer and hope he will understand the importance of getting things done quickly.

Ms. [redacted]’s statements as to the fact are incorrect. Her father (Mr. [redacted]) came to us to trade cars and negotiated a deal with him representing the trade in as free and clear. Never did her father ever have or present a title to us for review, all paperwork he signed and AGREED to be correct...

showed the car had no payoff. When we contacted the customer regarding the issue he threatened my people with harm and cursing continuously. The facts are Mr. [redacted] took out a loan against the trading in a few days prior and never informed us when negotiating the deal. Ms. [redacted]’s insinuations that we have done something wrong do to him having cognitive issues is offensive. It seems by her trying to place the blame on us, she is suggesting that we ask ever elderly person when they come in to buy a vehicle if they are mentally capable. Mr. [redacted] negotiated a deal for more than an hour, going back and forth. Never did he represent any signs of not being able to handle his own affairs. I believe Mr. [redacted] knew he was trading in a car that he had just taken out a loan on and though that the threats and verbal abuse would make us just give up on trying to collect.  The conclusion to this is that we will trade cars back with Mr. [redacted] and ask that he does not come back or have contact with any of our employees.

In regards to the customers complaint in regards to the $800 prepayment penalty. Unaware to us the bank in question had added a prepaid penalty at some point last year. So with that being said we will refund the customer her $800 and...

I have read Ms. [redacted] concerns, and there seems to be some valid points to her concerns. However it seems to me that it sure would have been helpful to know that Ms. [redacted]’s vehicle was involved in a resent collision. This is not a warrantable concern due to being damaged...

from the collision. I feel that Ms. [redacted] is entitled to the 45.00 diagnostic charge, however I feel the rental fee should be the responsibility of the collision center who missed the cracked module in the beginning.

In regards to the complaint files by Ms. [redacted]. First let me say at no time EVER did anyone “threaten to kill her”, that statement is absolutely not true and positively never happened! Ms. [redacted] has brought her car in with a few complaints as to a braking...

problem. At that time we did take it to the Dodge store for repair and put here in a rental while the car was being worked on. Ms. [redacted] is correct in the statement she has an extended warranty that covers the repairs. She also stated we have refused to cover other items that the extended warranty will cover? If it’s covered we have no reason to refuse a repair. Even if she takes it elsewhere the warranty will cover the repairs, they just need the R.O and who to send the check to. Carfax does report that there was an accident but it was described a minor one and was from behind. We have spoken to Ms. [redacted] on many occasions on the issues she says she has with the car, but unfortunately we have not been able to duplicate. I would remind her if she is unhappy with the service we have tried to perform that the warranty is honored anywhere.

Town and Country Ford only performed collision repair on the 2006 Ranger, no maintenance work was performed nor was the repairs due to the wreck related to the engine. So the issue with the engine was not do to anything we did while in our position. The customer had admitted to me that they had...

never changed the oil in the truck since purchasing the vehicle in Sept of 2014. The customer’s collision insurance company declined paying for the engine because they agreed that the engine locking up was due to lack of oil in the engine only. The fact of the oil had never been changed in five months is the real issue. Town and Country feels we are not responsible for nothing other than the body work that was done to the Ranger.

I am not satisfied with the business response, I feel that this problem is there mistake and they do not want to take ownership in there mistake. I have been getting me oil changed from them every since I have had my car. and the last visit in July there had to be a mistake done with not enough oil being put into my car as usual. when I got my oil changed the usual guy that changes my oil was fixing another persons car and so another guy came and gave my car an oil change. I always get my oil changed 3-4 months prior to the next one. when my mechanic checked my car he even said the same thing their was lack of oil and the oil that they where putting in my car was not strong enough and the oil that they were puttying in my car was not the right oil for my car. Yes they put synthetic oil in my car but my car needed synthetic 0-40 but that was not being put in my car they had been putting regular synthetic oil into my car. my cheapest oil is 11.00 dollars a quart and my car takes 7 quarts, they charge me 34.00 an oil change so think about it, if they charge me 34.00 an oil change that means they are not giving me the right oil for my car, my car was getting cheap oil put into it. 11*7=77 dollars so that should be the amount I would be paying if I was getting the type of oil for my car.  I feel that this problem wouldn't have happen if I didn't put my trust in there hands, I would think that if I go to my dealership and get my oil change that I wouldn't have and worries or problems but I guess I was wrong. I'm not trying to play anyone into getting my car fix because I have a job and I could get this car fix, but this problem has come from this business and I feel that I shouldn't have to pay for someone elses mistake towards my car that I know that they did. I just want my car fix that it, that's all i'm asking for. and [redacted] said he didn't have a salesperson by that name, but his name is on my papers as him being the salesperson who sold me my car. I just want to know why when I asked them to take a look at my motor they never took a look at it. like my mechanic said this burning has been going on in my oil for along time it just didn't start it just got worst. if they would have took a look at my motor they would have seen that. when I bought my car they were putting regular gas into my car in my car takes premium gas, so that's how I know they didn't car about that car they just wanted to sell it.

We did do an inspection on this truck and did not find the numerous issues the customer speaks of. The work tha was performed and needed did not indicate and major issue. Unfortunately a 15 year old truck with over 200k miles has to be sold “as-is” which was stated over...

multiple documents.

We have spoken to Ms. [redacted] before and after this compliant was file. She has a clear understanding that in order to find the best terms for her to obtain a car we must shop her loan. As of Wednesday  the customer has asked us to proceed with communication with multiple...

lending institutions to obtain her loan.
