Once we found out that the vehicle needed something in addition to the original part we ordered for the door, we called the dealership that the owner selected and authorized them to order whatever the vehicle needed to resolve the concern. We also told the owner that we authorized them to fix whatever it is and bill us directly. Although this is a difficult situation with interior trim damage to his new vehicle, we are doing and authorizing anything the Customer desires at any place of his choosing to remedy the interior damaged door trim. He has stated he will not travel back to our store so we made arrangements to have the repair performed at a dealer of his choosing and we are paying that dealer directly. If there is something else needed to remedy this injustice, please let us know and we will address it.

Customer's credit card has been refunded 10/26/17.  Every credit card issuer has it's own policy as to when the funds are credited but we have completed the refund on our end.  We now consider this matter satisfactorily closed.

When a customer signs a contract the dealer is allowed to do anything in their power to attain financing for the customer.  Including trying as many lenders as possible to get the loan approved for the customer.  This is a service that we provide so the customer can attain the money for...

the automobile they want to purchase. As far as the payment or balance owed that is the customer's responsibility.  He owes the money to the lender.  We are pretty sure this came up with the lender long before now since it started in 2014.

The Technician had an accident while road testing the vehicle. Dealership insurance company is involved and handling the case. [redacted] report is not yet available. Dealership will work with customer and insurance to resolve.

I took the part which they sent to the dealership to be installed. Unfortunately it is not the correct part.

Customer relations manager said this customer was sent and cashed a check for the amount requested. This is even though the customer violated the terms of their signed warranty contract that states in order for repairs to be covered, they must first open a claim with the 3rd party warranty. The...

Customer was told of the warranty provisions and elected to have repairs performed outside the guidelines at an independent repair shop with no involvement of their warranty company. Dealer paid for the refund.

Well, since we want to speak on contracts where is the original contract I signed in October? The contract I signed when I was originally told automation found a lender for me? I have the vehicle identification number to my trade in and can tell you exactly when it was exchanged to autonation for the truck.

I initially received a call from Greg and emailed the requested information/documentation  again. I asked in the email for him to confirm receipt. Since that initial email I sent 4 other emails and left voicemails asking for him...

to confirm receipt of the documentation. I still have not heard back from Greg or Ford confirming receipt or an estimated time frame on my refund. Thanks,[redacted]

It appears that Mr. [redacted] was the original owner of the automobile and no transfer paper work for the Extended Service contract had occurred placing it Mr. [redacted] name.  As a result, the remainder of monies for the cancelled contract would go to the finance company if...

there was a loan and then to the individuals name on the Extended Service Contract.  In this case, Mr. [redacted] was sent the refund.  If this is somehow incorrect, please inform us and we will see if this check can be cancelled.  Thank you.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2017/07/25) */
Initially, when the vehicle was sold at Shaver Motors there was nothing mentioned about any mechanical problems that the vehicle had. When it was finally brought to our attention Shaver Motors immediately offered to fix these items, free of...

charge. We advised Mr. [redacted] to make an appointment in our service garage at his convenience and he chose never to do so. He did not make any attempt to contact us for over 45 days. Shaver Motors was contacted by the bank who financed Mr. [redacted]'s car and they informed us that Mr. [redacted] had not made his first payment. At that time, we reached out to Mr. [redacted] about his payment and he mentioned that he didn't want the car anymore because of its apparent mechanical issues. Again, we offered to repair his vehicle free of charge. To this date, Mr. [redacted] has never allowed us the opportunity to help him. Mr. [redacted] is misinformed as to the value of the vehicle he purchased. The retail price of the car he purchased is [redacted] Mr. [redacted] purchased the car for [redacted] plus tax, title and license fees or [redacted] below retail value. We have attached a retail book value of the car he purchased and a copy of the bill of sale. Unfortunately, this complaint is a clear case of buyers remorse.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2017/07/26) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The very friat day I got it I said something about it and all the shop did was reset the computer on the car and gave it back they did not care to fix anything tell I told the lone company to come get the carand they never filled the tittle with the bmv
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2017/08/04) */
Shaver Preferred Motors stance has remained the same. We would have been happy to fix the customers issues free of charge had we been given the opportunity to do so. Customer refused to allow us to fix the car for over 45 days. Customer has chosen to have the car repossessed by finance company for failure to pay rather than let us help him with the mechanical issues he had. Had Mr. [redacted] communicated with us we would have either fixed all his issues or switch vehicles. Unfortunately, when a customer refuses to bring in the car to be fixed or call us back when we reach over ten times there is not much else we can do. This was buyers remorse only.

I am sorry that the customer is having an issue.  I will personally have it handled today. Lonnie P[redacted]General Manager

Only two banks pulled the credit.  The loan went through [redacted] bank.  The customer has now locked his credit and therefore another bank could not have pulled his credit after he came here and we resolved the issue.

We will have a check for this gentleman by the end of this week. There is one form that needs to be completed and we will call him today to have it expedited. Thank You,Gabe

It does not appear that we will be able to come to an agreement.  The customer is talking about something that happened a long time ago and he is responsible for the payment.
