Global Housing Corp booked my room with a "Shared Bathroom" (accessible in an outside hallway, like a college dorm) despite reassurances that the room would come with a private bathroom. They refused to refund the reservation money and tried to upcharge me to guarantee a private bathroom. Their contract makes no mention of a shared bathroom, which is absolutely not the standard for hotel bookings in the U.S. Had to go through the hassle of cancelling the charge via the bank and re-issuing the credit card to prevent them from re-billing the reservation.

Regarding this case , I just got the reply from our [redacted] that this case & some other cases are already solved and the refund was issued already to our mutual customer so everything should be fine now .

Dear All,Please note that the policy listed below is to make any kind of changes to the rooms/nights as it's considered to be Cancellation for any number of rooms or nights BUT not the whole reservation as cancelling the whole reservation have a different policy which is...

: should the entire reservation be cancelled you agree to pay a cancellation fee in the amount of 25% of the original total cost of the room accommodation. So I explained to you about the Policy of my company and now it's my job to show you her cancellation request (Untitled.PNG ) and  the Signed Reservation Forms that the customer made and agreed which is if they cancelled the reservation there will be a 25% cancellation fees and they made a charge back to our charges and actually the credit card company informed us that will we get the cancellation fees because the customer broke the agreement between us and them .Please let me know if you need to know anything else .Best regards,[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Our company participates in numerous events and books hotels for our staff all around the world and we have never run into these types of issues.  We are not out to just cancel the reservation and get a refund, in fact we have actually re-booked a reservation at the same home hotel.  Our concern is that we do not trust GHC and feel they failed to deliver.
Adam G[redacted] is correct that we did not provide attendee names at the time of our reservation 2/**/16.  This is because we did not know who would be going to the event in September.  However we assumed the reservations would be held under our company name, which is standard.  My employee thought it was very strange GHC didnt provide us with confirmation numbers at the time of the reservation but didnt think to press them.  It wasn't until I got involved this month and thought it was suspicious and looked GHC up and saw they had a negative reputation that I asked my employee to contact them immediately to get a confirmation number that we could confirm with the actual hotel.
She sent them an email requesting the confirmation numbers and provided them with three names on [redacted].  On [redacted] she received back a "travel itinerary" document but no confirmation numbers.  When I called to ask for them, Adam G[redacted] told me the confirmation numbers were just the last name and reservation date.  I called the hotel and spoke to Gloria who looked up the names, check for our company name and informed us there was nothing on file.  I called back to Adam G[redacted] again and he then magically sent us an email with confirmation numbers., which I dont understand why he didnt just give them to me when we asked the first TWO times.
I called the hotel and spoke with Robert who pulled those numbers up and told me they were in different names.  One a "Woo and another a "JUNG" which again I felt was very strange.  Robert put me on hold and got the hotel reservation manager, Nickolas and he reviewed the reservation and agreed that there was nothing in the reservation with our company name or indicating the reservation would be associated to us.  Essentially had we shown up, we wouldnt of had rooms.  I also told the manager that GHC was requiring that we pay for our total stay at the hotel in ADVANCE of our arrival and the hotel manager said that was "not normal" and he felt the company was very suspicious.  At this point we were very concerned.  What would stop GHC from changing or cancelling the reservation after we paid for the total OR what assurance did we have that if we paid GHC the total amount, that they would pay the hotel?  With all of this uncertaintly and having been on the phone for over 4 hours sturuggling to simply get the reservation confirmation numbers confirmed by the hotel, we had lost all trust in GHC and were extremely concerned of doing any type of business with them.
GHC is referencing a lot of names of people they spoke with at the hotel, but we also spoke with people there, including the manager.  We are not cancelling our trip, we are not just looking to get out of the reservation.  We have already rebooked with the hotel directly and obtained secure confirmations.  We ask ourselves, if WE hadnt demanded the confirmation iinformation, when exactly would we have gotten it??  When would our names have been updated?  When would there have been anything on that reservation linking our company?  Its these questions and concerns that led us to request a cancellation from GHC.  Their failure to put the reservations in the name of our company or to have a note put in the hotel reservation system linking them to us back in February when we paid our deposit leaves them looking fraudulent or at the very least incompetent.

At this time, I have been contacted...

directly by Global Housing Services Corporation regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
They were not aware of the complaint.  The person on the phone simply asked me if everything had gone well with my reservation in Las Vegas.  I explained that it had not gone well.  I informed the lady that I was looking for a refund for the charges and she simply stated that she would get back to me.  I don't remember what day that was, but it has been a few weeks ago.

For SEVERAL YEARS I've repeatedly asked this scam housing company to take me off their list. They always say they will. Liars. They continue to call and waste my time. They also try to get a more junior person to book hotels with them.
What don't they understand about "Take me OFF your list"? I left them a phone message today.
With so many complaints about this company taking payment upfront and moving people to different hotels or NO HOTEL, why are they still allowed to operate?

Hi,the rooms was originally booked under our company’s account since the customer didn't provide the names and now she is blaming us that the rooms wasn't originally in the geust names which she didn't provideWe made the reservation , we confirmed the rooms , we sent the...

confirmaiton number to the client and now she is blaming us that we didn't book the rooms under the guest names since Feb while we don't have access to know her guest names except when she sent the names on April **,2016 so she is actually complaining about something was missing from her side !I'm willing to share all your emails , confirmation numbers for the hotel rooms booked and the signed agreement if Revdex.com will allow me to do thatThe rooms are confirmed with the Front Desk , Miss S[redacted] , Mr.R[redacted] and everyone at the Reservation Department , but [redacted] just wanted to cancel and get the deposit back while she signed an agreement that the deposit is nonrefundable but she just wanted to dispute to get the money and not honoring the agreement .I kindly ask someone from the Revdex.com to provide an email address to show the emails from [redacted] and show everyone the truth against her complaint .

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I feel that [redacted]’s approach was deceptive.

Experience with [redacted]
1.       Sometime in mid-January I received an unsolicited phone call from a company offering to book rooms for our upcoming trip to the [redacted] in Baltimore [redacted] April 2015.  I determined that this company was not affiliated with the conference organizers and had somehow obtained a list of attendees or exhibitors and was simply calling them all.  I had received other offers like this around that time and agreed to receive an email listing room rates.
2.       On ** Jan 2015, [redacted] of [redacted] sent offers (attached doc eGH1) for rates at various hotels in the area of the Baltimore Convention Center.  A note at the bottom of that email states explicitly: “Cancellation Policy : You can make any changes to your reservations (Names, Dates & Number of rooms) until 15 days prior to your check in date with no penalties.”  And it says nothing else… it does not say only “changes” are “no penalty” but “cancellation” will cost you 25%.
3.       On * March 2015, I tried to book a room at the [redacted], [redacted] by calling the reservation desk at the hotel directly.  We have stayed at this hotel the last 3 years in a row.  I was told by the manager that he could not book our reservation for the days we wanted… that all of those rooms had been given over to the Baltimore convention authority and that I needed to call them to make a reservation.  I called the Baltimore convention authority to inquire about rooms.. and received an automated message that their office hours were M-F 9:30am-5pm, and that I would need to call back then.  Since it was 1:30pm on a Tuesday… this seemed wrong.  I left a message on their answering machine. I called back about 30 minutes later and received the same automated message.
4.       Remembering that I had received an offer from a 3rd party, I dug out the email and called [redacted]… I spoke to [redacted] and was offered a rate that was about $160/night which is above the GSA-allowed rate of $150/night.  [redacted] then revised the offer to $149/night.  She asked for a credit card to hold the reservation.  I said I would not want the credit card charged until ** April when we actually showed up at the hotel.  I was told no charge would be made until then.  At this moment, I am still looking at the **Jan email with the statement that “reservations can be changed up to 15 days prior to the event with no penalties.”
5.       While still on the phone, [redacted] sent a reservation form for us to review.  Checking the dates and hotel name, it seemed correct… I did not read the fine print.  I asked the company credit card holder, [redacted], to come to my office to sign the agreement on my computer screen… at this point I still have [redacted] on the phone.  He put in the credit card information and initialed the agreement.  The [redacted] rep on the line told us we were all set.
6.       On * March at ~9:40am I received an invoice and travel itinerary from [redacted]… at that very same moment, our accountant was telling us to reduce staff and cancel all travel.
7.       At about 10:50am on * March, I emailed [redacted] at [redacted] and asked that they cancel our reservations.  I also called and left the same request on voicemail.  At 5:42pm, after leaving for the day, I received an email response request our reason or cancellation.
8.       On * March at around 10am, I called to speak with [redacted] again.  Instead I got [redacted] who said he would try to help me.  At around 10:30am I received an email from [redacted] asking that I reply to [redacted]’s earlier inquiry regarding our reason for cancellation.  I never was able to speak with [redacted] again and soon learned that she no longer works there.
9.       At first [redacted] warned that cancelling the reservation would incur a 25% charge and didn’t we want to just change the reservation instead?  Perhaps hold the charge on credit against some future trip we might book through them.  I was confused… I asked AB to check the [redacted] online statement and sure enough, a 25% charge ($532.71) had already been made against the [redacted] even though I was told the credit card would not be charged until we arrived at the hotel on 19 April.
10.   On * March at 3pm, [redacted] was still stalling on the cancellation… At 5pm, I again repeated that we wanted to simply cancel the reservation and obtain a refund for the $532.71 already charged.
11.   On ** March, I called [redacted] to again ask for cancellation and complete refund.  [redacted] again stalled and said there would have to be a 25% charge.
12.   On ** March, I again emailed [redacted] to request cancellation and refund.
13.   On ** March, I received a call from a salesman at [redacted] offering to book rooms for our trip to Baltimore!  I explained that I was still trying to cancel a reservation that was still on the books and he referred me to [redacted]  I spoke with [redacted], again insisting they cancel and refund the deposit.  [redacted] cancelled the reservation finally but would not agree to the refund.

I feel that the practice of this company is deceptive because the offers they make include a statement that “You can make any changes to your reservations (Names, Dates & Number of rooms) until 15 days prior to your check in date with no penalties .”  but they don’t mean it.  Secondly, I received voice assurance on the phone that no charge would be made until we arrived in Baltimore but an immediate charge of $532.71 was made to the [redacted] card.

They had our reservation on the books for less than 24 hours when I requested cancellation.

The right thing for [redacted] to do is to refund the charge they made.  If they had done that in the first place, I would have considered booking with them in the future.

Sincerely,
[redacted]

Tonight I arrived after two long flights in Orlando to the hotel I booked through Global Housing Corp. The front desk of my confirmed and paid for hotel for eleven nights!!! had been moved to a fleabag hotel 1.5 miles away. This is outrageous and represents the worst housing practices for convention housing I have ever experienced.
When I arrived at the poor cousin to where I had been booked they told me they had only had been paid for THREE nights not eleven that I have paid receipt for.
Since it was 130 am I needed a place to sleep...I would have been better off sleeping in my car..the motel--not hotel--is a crack house,,,razor blades on the floor, garbage spilling everywhere.
I feel like I have been robbed and want to advise DO NOT BOOK GLOBAL HOUSING CORPORATION ASTORIA NEW YORK [redacted]
