Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[redacted],
Your policy states that you can waive the cancellation fee any time and given the circumstances of misinformation given by [redacted] it would seem appropriate.
CHANGE IN TRAVEL

GHS Corp is able to offer such competitive pricing due to its
ability to reserve, hold and pre-pay for rooms for its clients at the
time of reservation.
Thus, changes made after final accommodation is agreed upon, but
prior to 15 days before check- in will not be assessed a fee.
Any reductions due for changes or cancellations will be applied as credit for customer’s next booking.
Credit will expire if not utilized within 180 days of issue.
Changes made after 15 days prior to check-in is not guaranteed.
In addition, should the entire reservation be cancelled you agree
to pay a cancellation fee in the amount of 25% of the original total
cost of the room accommodation.
This cancellation fee reflects the services already performed on
your behalf, monies already paid on your behalf, and monies earned for
services deemed performed.
GEH Travel reserves the right to waive this cancellation fee at any time, at its sole discretion on a case by case basis.

I was contacted by this company as they said that they represented [redacted] and were the official hotel booking agency. They said that our time was running out to get the hotel rooms, and they needed to know how many we were going to reserve. When asked at point blank if they were representing and speaking on behalf of [redacted], the agent said yes they were.
I didn't book the hotel at that point, but got the phone number and agent name, and called the [redacted]. They indicated that they were NOT affiliated with this company and they had no agreements with them.

Dear All,Kindly note the policy listed below is specifically for cancelling some nights/some names/adding names or nights ..etc.  ( as for example the exact dates for the convention center is September [redacted], 2015 ) and you have your dates from  September [redacted], 2015  in all...

rooms so you might need to cancel  the first night in order for you to match the exact dates , or if some of your guests can’t show on the first day so they will come on September [redacted] ..The other policy is the whole reservation cancellation policy  which is :  should the entire reservation be cancelled you agree to pay a cancellation fee in the amount of 25% of the original total cost of the room accommodation. The customer has signed the agreement and agreed to these rules and now want to cancel the reservation free of charge .Please find attached the conversation between the customer and our company .Bets Regards,[redacted]

[Your Answer Here]
The business did not resolve this situation to my satisfaction.  I contacted them and asked them to cancel the reservation, to minimize my financial liability, and reverse the charges, minus a fee of 25% of the original reservation ($381).  They agreed to do so, but have not yet done it.

Sleezy company. Sent me a confirmation for a hotel reservation but never actually made the reservation. Gave no explanation or offer of compensation
Represented themselves an an authorizes housing site for a trade show when they were not. When the trade show changed the show date they would not refund the payment needed to guarantee the room.

We booked 6 nights with Global Housing in a Las Vegas hotel for a trade show and added another night about a month later. Upon arrival, the hotel only had reservations for 1 night and the rest of the booking was cancelled. When we asked Global Housing for a solution, they blindly sent a voucher with an incorrect check out date and incorrect number of beds. We ended up solving the problem ourselves and got money back from our credit card company. Beware and do not book anything through Global Housing.

Review: I made a reservation for the [redacted] Hotel in Las Vegas through Global Housing Corp in March, 2014. By August, the hotel was overbooked and I received an email request from Global Housing to relocate to the Green Valley Resort Hotel. I agreed. According to the email from Global Housing, my travelers would be "walked" to the sister property for their accommodations. This did not happen. My travelers never received transportation to the Green Valley Hotel and Global Housing has had the deposit on the rooms since March and the full room rate was charged in August. Their stay was October [redacted]. My travelers stayed at the [redacted] at their own expense. I have requested a full refund from the representative at Global Housing Corp - [redacted]. I have all of this in emails and can forward them to you. There has been no response from [redacted] or Global Housing Corp except to say there will be no refund.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund for the deposit of $326.93 taken on March ** and the balance due of $653.85 that was paid on August **. Total refund requested is $980.78.

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Global Housing Services Corporation regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

They were not aware of the complaint. The person on the phone simply asked me if everything had gone well with my reservation in Las Vegas. I explained that it had not gone well. I informed the lady that I was looking for a refund for the charges and she simply stated that she would get back to me. I don't remember what day that was, but it has been a few weeks ago.

Response:

Dear Team,Hope this message finds you well , kindly note I explained the whole problem in my previous email , The customer went to stay at a different hotel and then requested a full refund , our mistake is only that we didn't transfer the customer to the hotel we agreed about , so we are ready to pay a refund for the Transfer fee from the wrong hotel to the right hotel , please find attached my conversation with Revdex.com team also my conversation with the customer that clarifies everything .Please let me know if I can beof any further assistant!Best regards,[redacted]

Business

Response:

Dear All,Please note that our only mistake is We didn't transport the customer to the other property as we wasn’t sure that we can provide a transportation to the customer by someone at the hotel and when we checked our original email we informed the customer that we will walk them to the other property but we didn't and we are ready to pay the transportation fees (using Taxi ,Bus, Limo ) or whatever as a compensation to the customer , but it’s not our fault that the customer changed the hotel as it’s so clear in the signed contract that :GHS Corp. is unable to accept any change requests 5 business days prior to check-in. GHS. does not provide refunds for early cancellation or no-shows.And since the customer agreed about switching the hotel so it’s not our fault that they booked in a different hotel .Best Regards,[redacted]

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I expect a full refund in the amount of $980.78. You made reservations for two people and did not provide the necessary elements to accommodate their stay. It was Global Housing responsibility to provide what we paid for. Housing accommodations for two employees. You did not. The inconvenience of abandoning two clients is way passed $980.78.

They can also jeopardize the association's contractual room block with the hotel.Desired Settlement: they cease & desist and send me a letter of apology that can be shared with my membership.

Review: We booked a room at the [redacted] Florida for a trade show from this company. We received a confirmation. When we arrived we were told we didn't have a reservation. Come to find out they booked a different [redacted] in Miami. There were Rooms available for them to correct the situation but because of the time frame the rooms were more expensive and they would not pay for it. I explained it was there mistake and they should make it right by getting us the room. They said the only thing they could do was cancel the wrong reservation they made and not charge us a cancellation fee. We told them this was unacceptable and poor customer service. I emailed a complaint to them and asked for the refund.Desired Settlement: Refund for the amount of $675.00.

Review: This company received a list of vendors exhibiting at a certain conference in Las Vegas. They hound the vendors and misrepresent the conference claiming that they are the dedicated "accommodations" vendor even though we have been advised to book through the room blocks at the designated hotels. They also send me emails even though I have requested to be taken off the list. They call every day even though I have requested them to stop.Desired Settlement: Stop Contacting NextImage Medical and any other vendor on the conference list.

Business

Response:

Regarding this case , our mutual customer mentioned that we are dedicated "accommodations" vendor but actually what we are doing as travel agency is one thing which is telling our customers that we can have their rooms reserved with a competitive rates than other companies

if you go online and check a famous website like [redacted] you will find an advertising saying : Search hotels near Las Vegas Convention Center / Featured hotels near Las Vegas Convention Center as the following link

That doesn’t make them the official housing corporation or the only one who we are dedicated "accommodations" vendor for any conference as the end they are just a travel agency !! That’s exactly what we do , we inform our customer that we are accepting hotel reservation near to the convention centers and we provide them with the room rate and if they accepted that then we make the reservation for them , also note in all our documents we never mentioned that we are the official housing corporation for a conference

For the customer [redacted]: that’s ok we already stopped calling her so I hope this can solve this complaint

Review: Dear Revdex.com Colleagues,

I am writing to lodge an official complaint again GLOBAL HOUSING CORP (GHC).

GHC has been contacting our listed exhibitors for the 2016 [redacted] National Meeting with an implication that we are affiliated with them. Our exhibitors are receiving the following message:

"[redacted] "

This company must cease and desist in contacting our meeting attendees. Our administrative assistant spoke directly to Adam G[redacted] at GHC. He stated that he believes that they are merely "offering attendees a choice." He was directed not to contact our meeting attendees. Messages sent from this company should not, in any way, state a "we" as there is no affiliation between NAAHP and Global Housing Corp. While their message indicates, in very fine print, that they are not affiliated with any of the trade shows, the use of the word "we" is an implication that there is an affiliation and is misleading at best.

We have researched this company and found complaints from those who have made reservations through them as well as associations complaining about the actions of GHC affecting their room block contracts with hotels and leaving meeting attendees without reservations. We are concerned that this could affect our meeting attendance as well as contracts with our meeting hotels. We are eager to resolve this issue so that our attendees are not victimized by this company. Global Housing Corp must make it clear, outside of fine print, that they are not affiliated with us and they must stop soliciting to our attendees.

I don't know what you can do to be helpful in this situation but am appreciative of any action you can take on our behalf. Please do not hesitate to be in contact with me should any additional information be needed or desired.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

[redacted] Executive Director

###-###-#### directDesired Settlement: We are submitting this asking that Global Housing Corp cease and desist with contacting our exhibitors, attendees and members implying that they are in affiliation with [redacted]

Tonight I arrived after two long flights in Orlando to the hotel I booked through Global Housing Corp. The front desk of my confirmed and paid for hotel for eleven nights!!! had been moved to a fleabag hotel 1.5 miles away. This is outrageous and represents the worst housing practices for convention housing I have ever experienced.

When I arrived at the poor cousin to where I had been booked they told me they had only had been paid for THREE nights not eleven that I have paid receipt for.

Since it was 130 am I needed a place to sleep...I would have been better off sleeping in my car..the motel--not hotel--is a crack house,,,razor blades on the floor, garbage spilling everywhere.

I feel like I have been robbed and want to advise DO NOT BOOK GLOBAL HOUSING CORPORATION ASTORIA NEW YORK [redacted]

Review: When we initially booked the rooms with Global Housing Inc, we were told to book more rooms than necessary as we could cancel rooms later with no penalty—so that is what we did. At the time of booking, we were never told that reducing the number of rooms would increase the price. Had we been informed of this fact we would not have agreed to the contract. Nowhere in the contract does it say that price of the rooms is determined by the amount being booked.

When we were informed of the ridiculous $159 room rate, we contacted the [redacted] directly and were able to secure individual rooms for only $89.

[redacted] rendered the contract VOID when they raised the agreed upon $79 rate for the rooms. We didn’t cancel the rooms because we changed our minds; we cancelled because [redacted] didn’t honor the $79 rate. The contract states $79, not $159. Again, there is no mention in the contract or ANY of the emails during the negotiation process that states that the room rate was dependent on the number of rooms booked. It was not until after we needed to downsize our reservation that any mention of this was made.

We have emails to prove the contract was voided/canceled LONG before the credit card was ever charged. This is outright FRAUD.

- The merchant does not have a contract with an authorized representative

- The merchant maliciously changed the rate for no reason (as seen above by our ability to secure an $89 rate on our own)

- The merchant fraudulently charged the card WELL AFTER the contract was voided of their own volition by the rate change (see dated emails). There is NO BASIS for charging the full amount of the contract.

- [redacted] charged the full amount of the contract after it was canceled in writing, no services were ever rendered. We have emails to prove it.Desired Settlement: While we believe we are entitled to a full refund per the egregious details of the transaction as noted above, we would settle for a 75% refund per the cancellation policy in the contract that was signed. There is absolutely no basis for charging the full amount. That is outright fraud.

Best regards,

Review: Global Housing forwarded information representing itself as a housing service for a named convention in Las Vegas. All conferences send out information from the official conference service providers. Global did not disclose that they were in fact not affiliated whatsoever to this conference and that they were not an approved housing provider. They were able to gain an attendee list and send out the information as if they were the housing provider. We booked two rooms at the [redacted] through them. Within a week, the official housing provider sent their announcement out with better rates and availability. We addressed this with Global Housing and wished to cancel months before the conference. Global refused to cancel without a $250.00 cancellation fee, which was charged to my credit card.

After researching, I have reviewed additional complaint information about their flim flam practices. Global Housing, if you are reading this, there are more ways to make $250.00 from deception.Desired Settlement: $250.00 refund

Dear [redacted]/Team,Thanks for getting back to me and please keep me updated once you receive your refund .Best Regards,[redacted]

This is a scam. It's a high fee to cancel this. They act like they are associated with the conference/forum but they aren't. They are also extremely rude.

Review: This company called me this past July after finding out that I was going to be exhibiting at a trade show in Las Vegas in October. They called me in July and told me that they were going to set up my hotel reservations for me and got me a great price ($69/night for 4 nights - $276). They "booked" me on the contract at the Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. When I called Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, they said there was a reservation under my name, but that it was under another name (not Global Housing Services, but [redacted] which I had never heard of). LVH told me that that many companies, like this one, charge your card, make a temporary reservation for you, but then cancel it right before you arrive at the hotel. When I found this out, back in August, I immediately emailed them and asked them to cancel my reservation. I then made my own reservation without an agency. Global Housing Services never cancelled the charge with [redacted], and the charge is still on my credit card. I have it in dispute currently with [redacted] and they are going through the emails and documents that I sent to them. Most importantly ** This company when being contacted by [redacted] about the dispute, sent a forged contract to them. The document looks similar to the one that I signed, BUT they added to the top the company that charged my credit card "[redacted]", they changed the hotel name to [redacted], removed a line that has Total Rooms & Total Nights and the price per night and changed it to just Price - but upped the price to $324.58. They also removed their Local number [redacted] and moved the email address over to another block. Then they copied my signature and tried to put it on the Cardholder Authorization Signature line, but they messed up and it is in the middle of the line.Desired Settlement: I want my credit card to be credited the amount they charged & I would like this forgery reported to the authorities. Plesase let me know if you would like me to send you the documentation. Thank you.

Consumer

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Global Housing Services Corporation regarding complaint ID [redacted]. I have all the previous email documentation to send to you if you like. It shows the original contract that was signed, and then what they actually charged me. Then I have the forged document that they sent my credit card company that I can also send to you.

Best regards,

I was contacted by this company as they said that they represented [redacted] and were the official hotel booking agency. They said that our time was running out to get the hotel rooms, and they needed to know how many we were going to reserve. When asked at point blank if they were representing and speaking on behalf of [redacted], the agent said yes they were.

I didn't book the hotel at that point, but got the phone number and agent name, and called the [redacted]. They indicated that they were NOT affiliated with this company and they had no agreements with them.

Review: I work for a company that is going to an Oil and Gas convention called [redacted] in May. I was contacted by someone from this company claiming that they are the "official housing of the [redacted]". I booked a block of rooms and it came back with my credit card, company and someone else's name. After realizing that it is a scam due to many articles that I read and contacting the official [redacted] to ask if thye were real and they told me no. I tried multiple times to cancel and they refused to do it and I had to get the certain verbage. They were not able to cancel over the phone or provide me with a cancellation number. They sent me over forms after the scam with a wrong name and false info. I have contacted my credit card company to tell them and they are trying to fight this. They wont cancel my reservation at all and wont comply and have had harassing phone calls and emails to me at work and wont leave me alone. They also have completely misrepresented themselves and lied about their identity. I have an entire paper trail to prove the falsification of this scam. Please see the attached link to prove this is false. [redacted]. They have been reported before as well from what I have read. They lied, and stole my money, and have my life incredibly difficult and frustrating. I have representatives from the [redacted] willing to speak on my behalf to verify the scam and the falsification of the identity. Their was not even any guarantee of rooms at all with this purchase after all of the hassle.Desired Settlement: I want them to refund my initial deposit of $191.74 and also not charge the bogus "cancellation policy" of 25% of my order ($1917.42 is 25% of the total scammed order of %7,669.68). I want justice served and also my money back most importantly.
