Go2Capital Reviews (75)

Clients receive refunds per the contractual terms entered. We don't allow clients to break contractual terms - this is standard practice for any service provider/business dealings. This would be similar to you signing a contact with Verizon Wireless, then deciding that you wanted to go with...

AT&T after you signed a contract. If this claimant has additional questions regarding service, and moving forward with financing; they can call Go2Capital directly to discuss. Regards, CJ T[redacted]Compliancecj.t[redacted]@go2capital.com

Refunds are extended to clients when they submit applications and get declined. You simply chose to opt-out, and stated that you were able to obtain a loan from your bank. That's fine, but that action doesn't warrant a refund. Your decision changed because you read an online review, and got...

discouraged about the overall process - that's also something that we do not control. We've been in business for close to 7 years, service over 100,000 clients annually; and in that time we've had 21 total complaints — which is far below that of any major financial institution. Feel free to look at Wells Fargo, Chase, US Bank, to get some additional clarity when it comes to complaints and volume of business. Complaints are going to be a part of every business, and we respond and answer every complaint on a case by case basis. Contracts are in place to protect businesses from consumers that attempt to break service. Let's take Verizon for example — if you start service with that provider, are they going to let you opt-out of your contract and go with Sprint? The answer is no. No refund will be extended to this client outside of the contractual terms outlined. No other consideration for refunded will be extended to this client. If the client has additional questions he can contact Go2Capital directly.Regards, CJ T[redacted]cj.t[redacted]@go2capital.comCompliance

This matter is now closed and will receive no further attention from Go2Capital.  Thanks,

Go2Capital started working with this client 12/02. She was trying to get in position for a business acquisition loan, and demanded placement options that weren't realistic for her situation. We provided her the appropriate application to submit, this took place on 12/29/2014 - this is a total of 19...

business days; which is normal for this type of debt product. After this application was submitted we received no correspondence back from the claimant.   Under the terms entered this claimant doesn't qualify for any refund. During the entire course of placement, she demanded quick financing options that weren't realistic for the type of loan she was attempting to get in position for. The criteria for placement is always set by the issuing lender - not Go2Capital. It makes no sense to submit an application for any debt product if the applicant is going to get instantly declined. The loans that have quick placement turn around were not applicable placement options for the claimant. Regards,

I am rejecting this response because: We are requesting a copy of the phone conversation for our review. If they cannot produce a copy, then they are lying on all accounts and we want our $99 back.
Sincerely,

Under the terms entered this client doesn't qualify for any refund. She called go2capital on 05/27, and stated that her investor/partner had decided to back out; and decided that she didn't want to pursue business financing. Prior to this update on the file - the client stated she wanted to get...

a personal loan, which is not advised when trying to secure business financing - but we submitted an application and got her approved for 4k. There was another business loan application that was pending on her file - but these applications were never submitted due to the fact she stated she decided no longer wanted to attempt to get the loan.If the applicant decides to reengage this process once her situation changes - or her partner decides to collectively be attached to the business opportunity, she can call Go2Capital back and we will re-open her file to discuss new potential placement opportunities.Regards,CJ T[redacted]Go2Capital[redacted]@go2captial.com

We had plenty of communication with this claimant. In fact we emailed today (10/20/2015, the same day this complaint was submitted with the Revdex.com), and told him that he didn't qualify for any refund. This claimant needed 70-100k initially for a business acquisition loan, and provided tax...

returns for a business that was showing negative cash flow. It's not possible to purchase a business that "on paper", looks like it's bleeding money. Usually clients appreciate this data, because it saves them from buying business that aren't currently profitable. After we discussed this situation with the claimant he stated that he wanted to get 40k as soon as possible, and by whatever means. We gave him two applications to accomplish this level of funding. Go2Capital fulfilled on every aspect of this claimants contract  (business plan, financial pro forma , evaluation of the business he wanted to purchase, business credit updates, etc). Again, Go2Capital has reviewed this file internally, and we have told the client multiple times via email/phone - that no refund will be issued.  This is our final decision. If the claimant has any additional questions, or wants to discuss other placement options, he can call us to discuss.Regards,CJ T[redacted]ComplianceGo2Capital [redacted]@go2capital.com

This issue has been closed internally and will receive no additional consideration for refund outside of what has already been outlined. We have given this consumer a reasonable request to contact us to review this call - if they choose not to do so; that's their choice.  We have pointed out the multiple points in this conversation where fees were discussed with this client. All fees were disclosed - period. Thanks, CJ T[redacted]Compliance Go2Capital

We have reviewed this file internally, and have discussed the situation with the claimant. Under the terms entered she does not qualify for any refund. On 02/03/2017, the claimant stated she went and obtained the funds through another source, and refused to continue with the application process with...

Go2Capital. Go2Capital doesn't control the time frame to close - those requirements are set by the lender. Had this applicant stayed the course and submitted all applications (as outlined), had she been declined by all lenders; a refund would have been extended on her account. Businesses have every right to enforce their contract, were that not the case; businesses (any industry) wouldn't be able to exist. This file has been closed - no other consideration for refund will be considered. Regards,CJ T[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: it does not address the issue at hand.  The issue is not with the closing of the business, the issue is in the untimely response of Go2Capital in fulfilling their obligations under our agreement.
Sincerely,

As previously explained, this claimant isn't entitled to any refund. If the claimant needs additional understand as to why, he's more than welcome to call us directly. We're not going to disclose this claimant's personal credit history on a public web form. We will send a refund authorization form to this claimant for the amount previously expressed. If it's executed by 06/16/17, we will refund his file and close his account. If he chooses not to accept the refund, obviously that's his choice; but no other special consideration will be extended to this claimant beyond what has been express. Regards, CJ T[redacted]Go2Capitalcj.t[redacted]@go2capital.com

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: my financial situation has no bearing on the company's inability to find financing in a timely way.   By 'helping' me procure the $4K, I was given a website and had to do all the legwork on securing the loan myself.  Hardly worth the $2K I paid.  The crux of this is the inordinate amount of time financing took.  The company did nothing towards getting financing until 9 months afters I engaged them, and then, when I expressed dissatisfaction, was thrown several applications to fill out.  There was work done to improve my credit, for which I will accept the $1K payment, but no work was done that would merit an additional $1k to make up the balance of the fees.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

We assist over 100,000 small businesses annually — and have minimal complaints. And by minimal, the exact number is 3.5 complaints per year. You're entitled to form your own opinion, and can make assumptions — but I'd rather just focus on the history of your account. You started service over 1 year ago, and we're just now hearing from you now regarding any dissatisfaction of service? That's not normal. 1 business application was submitted on your behalf. After that application was submitted we've received zero correspondence from you. We can't force you to comply, or to continue with the loan process. If you decided to use our service (that's fine), but that doesn't entitle you to any refund. Your file has been closed. No refund will be issued on this account — if this claimant has additional questions regarding her file, she can call us directly.   Regards, CJ T[redacted]cj.t[redacted]@go2capital.com

If the applicants situation changes during the course of financial placement, this will prevent any financial institution from being able to assist the applicant. In the middle of this business financing process - you stated that you just wanted to get "anything" - and chose to go after a personal loan for 4k - which Go2Capital helped you secure. Being in a rush, and submitting applications last second out of desperation is never the best choice when trying to secure a larger business loan. When you initiated this process you stated that your situation was 'X" when really it was "Y". We're not going to disclose all the reasons that directly impacted you from being able to secure the loan, and we're understand the frustration with this process; but our decision remains the same and no refund will be issued on this file. Go2Capital will credit the any fees that were incurred (by the applicant), towards any future business loan she may decide to pursue in the future. If she has any additional questions she can contact us directly - otherwise this matter has been closed internally. Regards,CJ T[redacted]Go2Capital

These four companies and 8 law firms are all owned and operated by the same group of men. They charge you a small fee for processing your application and then set you up with a specialist to do "underwriting" to get you a business loan. Go2Capital charged me $2300. Mike Millward presented himself as an sr underwriter and fast talked and had me sign a document while supposedly explaining it. What he explained and what was on the document where 2 different things. Mike Millward is the owner of Go2Capital but presented himself as the underwriter. I was originally contacted by Cody Rich who presented himself as a business analyst who in turn also owns part of this company. I contacted the company and ask for a refund and was told that the contacts I spoke to (Mike Millward and Cody Rich) "The contacts you spoke with are high level contacts for Go2Capital" once again deceived because they are owners of the company.
