I am unable to share details as to why the donation was unable to be processed by our payment partner. Please note that after review of your campaign and the payment information that was submitted, our payment partner has determined they will not be able to process donations for your account. I see that [redacted] was the sole donor to your campaign before it was closed. You may reach out to [redacted] at the [redacted] email address to work directly with him to receive these funds outside of GoFundMe. This will allow you to retain any fees that would be applied to this donation had it been processed on GoFundMe.

took 24 hours to respond.  When they finally did, they didn't just answer a simple question, but instead took action that was unwanted and not requested. Follow-up communication with GoFundMe representatives did not resolve the issue, and the issue is still not resolved.
