payments are paid in full and on time and she pays in full any remaining balance of the Amount Financed within the Payment Option period after deducting all scheduled payments made, no Finance Charge shall apply and the contract will be paid in full.    Ms. [redacted]  is liable for the total amount of the loan, until paid in full under the Same as Cash promotional period. The account will be reported paid in full to all credit bureaus. As of 01/15/16 the payoff amount of Ms. [redacted]’s account is $882.87 with a total balance of $ 1282.60. Ms. [redacted]’s  Same as Cash promotional period expires on 07/21/2016. This offer shall be void if any installment, or part of any installment, is more than 10 days delinquent 2 times during the term of this loan, then Ms. [redacted] will be responsible to pay finance charges according to the terms of the contract. In regards to our available payment options, payments can be mailed to our main office. We can also set up monthly recurring payments at no cost.  We recently lowered our processing fee, when a payment is made online or using our automated system. Ms. [redacted] can reach a representative during the following business hours:  8:00AM – 8:00 PM CST Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 3:00PM CST Saturday Our offices are closed on Sunday.   We at Gafco value our customers and strive to improve and make their experience enjoyable.

First GAFCo would like to apologize for any inconvenience we might have caused you. Your conversation
with Mr. [redacted] on January 23, 2014,...

the agreement was to waive late fee charges caused by your input of
the incorrect account number. That request was submitted to our accounting department on the 23rd.
The actual adjustment would not take place until after your call on the 31st of January. The reversals of
your late fees have been made. Secondly, our representative should have waived the convenience fee
for you. In response , GAFCo will waive the next three $7.95 convenience fees if you opt to call your
payment in. Finally your disappointment in receiving a 30 plus mark on your credit report - That was
caused by your error entering the transaction on October 29th (for your October 23rd payment). You did
not clear that payment until November 23rd causing your account to fall 31 days contractually past due.
GAFCo will gladly review your account at a future date to see if that delinquency can be updated.

Have been trying to get in contact with great American finance company for the past two weeks now... My problems all started when the person who typed in my original application at [redacted] failed to put the right address on my application. I called last month to address the fact that I hadn't gotten a bill yet, and found that out the hard way. Thinking I had gotten the address straightened out, I once again... Wait for a bill. No bill. I get a phone call and a voicemail last week stating "your bill was return to sender, please update your current address" I call back, hours later.(within business hours) talk to a representative who says "yes, your current address has already been fixed so you should be getting a statement" so than I get a second phone call days later... Leaving another message stating that I need to update my address. This time, I call back... Again! And I leave a message on the voicemail (during business hours) and NO CALLBACK whatsoever. Mind you... This is all happening during work because I work in retail and hold a management position so I am obligated to work long hours and be on my floor at all times. Here I am... One day before payment date and I can't make my payment because even their automotive phone payment system is difficult. I have no account number, therefore I can't make a payment... Oh and I can't even talk to a customer service representative because apparently they take Sundays off. So I'm very unhappy to say the least.

I am rejecting this response because:
I was never offered to have my same as cash offer reinstated if this was offered I would have accepted the offer. I have a recording with [redacted] who altered my salary to get the approval amount for the furniture...

because originally I was only approved for $1,500.00 not the credit line which was altered. In addition, I am requesting the reinstatement of my same as cash offer. I never received my coupon booklet as I stated when this account was set up and this is why my payments were made over the phone and online. I had no idea when payments were due on the account had I known this information my payments would have been received on it before the due date. When I signed for the loan the terms and conditions were not explained in there entirety; therefore I feel this is not fair justice to take away my promotion.

Thanks for the opportunity to respond to the above complaint. On January...

20, 2014 [redacted] signed an 18 month contract with a same as cash option of 180 days. Under the terms on the cash option the amount financed plus an acquisition fee of $10.00 must be paid within a 180 day period. [redacted] did pay the amount financed by the expiration date of the same as cash option; however the acquisition fee was not paid within the allotted time period. To answer the question why no calls were made, it's because the account was in a prepaid status. Not enough paid to close out the account, and the account was not past due. After reviewing the account, GAFCo has elected to close the account. The $96.71 paid on September 28th will be returned, minus $10.00 to pay the acquisition fee in accordance with the contract terms. We hope that Ms. [redacted] finds this agreement satisfactory. A check in the amount of $86.71 will go in the mail by Friday the 16th of October.
