DO NOT hire this company. COMPLETE scams. Will charge you 3x your quoted amount, hold your property hostage and break and steal items. DO NOT USE THEM!!

We did not receive door to door service of our furniture that was listed in our contract. We are missing a king size mattress and half of our leather couch. The company is denying our claim we filed since we did not sign papers at delivery. *** the manager at the company told me specifically that it’s good we did not sign as they would then not be liable. Now they are claiming since we didn’t sign we have no claim. My wife and I just want our missing items delivered or replaced.

Dealing with Great Moving USA or Great moving or whatever they call themselves now has been torture and hell!!!!! This company has caused countless panic attacks and mental break downs which has made my mental health decline. The customer service reps are rude they show no care or consideration when dealing with your possessions or concerns.
I was given an original estimate by a man or broker by the name of Allen Parks or Allegn Parks. I was quoted for 1245$ with a deposit of 250$ . I paid this deposit on March 29th. May 11th before my things were picked up I recieved a call that the deposit was never received. That their machines were broken to purchase another one. I said I would not and said I still have the deposit since I was told to email it to billing. I sent another picture of the deposit and was informed everything was good to go. May 14th the movers came and instantly informed me that the payment would be doubled because I was not quoted for everything even though speaking to Allen Parks he told me that I just needed an estimate of the boxes and it would not affect my total. That was a lie! And part of their plan. I had to move to Al the next day so I paid the extra amount and was told that a trailer would not fit in my community and would have to pay 600$ more. Even though we had a place for those trucks to come in and park, and was informed by my complex management that was not true. My final payment went up to 2438.50$. Today is May 25th I have paid 1738.50$ .... the invoice I recieved said I had 499.50$ to pay. However while on the phone with customer service they informed me that the money order deposit of 250$ did not go through and was rejected by their bank. I called western union and they informed me that money order was cashed April 1,2020. I have been waiting for my things and calling to find out a delivery window because both my husband and I are not able to work and have been staying with family because they have all of our things. Everything I call they tell me my.thibgs have not loaded yet even though I called and found out my things were supposed to be loaded on May 18 and on the road for delivery. That changed because of supposed truck issues. The supervisor by the name of Chloe I don't know if that's even her name was extremely rude and argumentative when I asked when my things would be delivered. Saying she could hold my things for 30 days. Which made me even more weary! Other pl have recieved their things broken and missing I'm afraid they will do the same to my things. I just want my things delivered so I can more on with my life and for this company to stop demanding more and more money. I moved from CT to Al on May 13, 2020. It is May 25th and I still haven't gotten my things. My life is on stand still and I want a secure delivery date!! Please help me because they have all my things and I believe they will do harm to my things and keep asking for money and never get a delivery date or my things!!!

My moving number is ***, I got some of my items on April 6,2020. When the drivers delivered my items they did put together or unpack anything as per contract, I asked the driver and helper where specific items were and showed them pictures and they responded by saying it was at the warehouse it would not fit on their truck, I responded by saying I had to pay for additional 200 more square feet for my items and I made that very clear to them. So I had to call the company and complained and emailed them also saying I did not receive my items and they said it was on another truck coming to Oklahoma, so they sent me claim forms to fill out and the email they gave me for the claims is as ***, and the address they is not valid and they would get this cleared up and get it settled and to this date I have not heard anything from them. I email almost everyday. I want my items or a refund of the extra space I paid for and did not get all items due to they had no room on the truck that moved my items from Carlisle PA to ENID OK.

My hired great moving to move my furniture from The Bronx to Michigan when my furniture got here everything was damage I filed a claim and never got a responses.
Also the price of the move continued to change it started at 1200 when call and paid in full. then when up to 5000 when they came to pick up my stuff .then upon delivery they added an extra $1000. For a truck fee that was a lie. They are scammers.

had use I picked a date for boxes to be picked up the day before they called said it was 350.00 more because I picked a certain day.Told them I will take their day they wanted .they gave me a window of 9 to 1 on pick up day .After 1 1/2 hrs of phone calls they picked up the phone telling me they had a power outage. This was now 3 o clock . They told me my stuff was going to a warehouse in Mt Laurel NJ chager trucks a would deliver in a couple days .Sent me a text message 2 days after p/up said being loaded and will ship out. Called the next day to find out were my stuff is told they have 21 days to deliver.I went with this mover because Revdex.com gave it A+ rating. since this all happened iI looked up all the complaints about this company.maybe you should check your rating system. Very Unhappy Cousltomer

Hello,

The owner of our company (We Care Senior Care d/b/a *** Senior Care), *** had, at one time, operated two moving companies: Great Moves and A Moving Experience. Both of those businesses have since closed. In recent weeks, we have been getting phone calls and complaints to our reputable senior-care company that our owner (*** Nooyen) has been scamming them out of money for bad moves. Upon further research, including on Revdex.com.org, we uncovered that the fraudulent owner of Great Moving (similar in name but not at all associated with Great Moves and A Moving Experience) has been telling people that *** runs his business. In addition, the Revdex.com business profile for Great Moving also lists *** Senior Care, Great Moves and A Moving Experience as alternative business names for Great Moving (again, we're not affiliated).

I'm happy to explain in more detail over the phone. Please reach out.

Thank you.

I moved from Maryland to Michigan. I hired this moving company. They picked up our items in Maryland 3/23/20 and were to deliver to our home in Michigan. When the day of delivery came 4/28/20, the company told me our goods were being delivered via a 53' truck and could not access our house and I would have to pay $1,800 in additional fees to have items shuttled from larger truck to smaller truck(s). The movers arrived in two, approximately 26' box trucks to deliver and I paid the fee in cash. I found out almost immediately that they came with both trucks from New Jersey, they never were in a 53' truck and never offloaded/reloaded/shuttled from a bigger truck to smaller trucks. I have all 4 men's names and 2 phone numbers as witnesses. I took delivery of my items. I called company the next day & told them what I knew and demanded a refund, they refused. They said the DOT could contact their legal people. I have already filed a complaint with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. They have broken laws by lying to extort money from me.

On February 6, 2020 we entered into a contract with Great Moving USA for a total of $2,553.43. We paid a deposit of $423.43 and received confirmation on April 27, 2020 (three days before pick up) that our contact total was still valid and our pick up amount would be $1,491.00 with the remainder due at delivery. Today is pick up day and the driver is asking for $2,000 more saying that we have more items. I went over the list of items described in my contract with him (I actually have less boxes) and he would not listen to me and said that his contact told him to charge us $2,000 more before he even arrived. We have tried to email and call but no one will answer us back. My roommate wants to pay them the extra amount just to be able to leave and move on.
I also want to add that we had changed the delivery address to *** on April 27th as requested and the driver still has the old delivery address and will not change it. Yet another hassle to deal with.

I am writing to request that the security deposit paid in Good Faith in March of 2020 in the amount of $410.00 be returned to my family immediately.
As of today I have yet to hear from a manager or owner of Great Moving regarding my concerns with unethical business practices within the company.
The listing of unavailable telephone numbers and unverifiable email addresses is highly suspect. As is the employees' unprofessional behavior toward clientele.
The inability to contact persons within the company, over multiple business days, in order to make date changes and relay information regarding moving circumstances, creates a Catch-22 within the business contract, a matter which is forbidden by law due to the pressure it exerts upon consumers.

1) Per invoice at pick up the ending fees to delivery were $470.71
A few days before they called and said it would be $1024.41. After disagreeing many many time I settled at $970 just to get my personal belongings.
2) All boxes were inventoried by me with a labeled and Number and logged with a spreadsheet I kept
25 items in new U haul Boxes, one basket, one rug, 2 boxes in beer boxes, one in a farmers mart box, 8 misc sized plastic tubs, one antique chaise and one side table. This is everything I have left in my life material wise.
*The damage was horrible, one very personal large artwork was delivered to the wrong place picked up by the driver the same day as delivery Never to be seen again*, a week ago someone called from Cleveland and was delivered another of my items box #4 was delivered to Cleveland

Great Moving USA inflated invoice for interstate moving with details below.

Company details:
Great Moving (866) 525-9736, (888) 696-6014 ,
https://GreatMovingUsa.com
US DOT: 2430969 ICC MC: 838059
address 1: address 2: 4
Scam/Inflated invoice details and discrepancy:
- The estimated initial invoice was $1100 while the final invoice upon delivery was $2984.00
- On pickup, a written invoice, which I was not given a copy of, shows 350 cb ft charged (50 cb ft overload, have a picture) for the items that shouldn't even add up to 300 cb ft (manually calculated). A couple of days after pick up, an emailed invoice shows 400 cb ft charged.
- The emailed invoice after pickup shows a shuttle fee charged on pickup origin without any evidence of the pickup zone needing shuttle service (pick up zone has access to 53 ft trailer), while on the quote/estimates invoice, it states that shuttle should apply to the delivery destination only.
- Upon delivery notification, which takes almost 1 month after the first available delivery date (3/22), they notify me of another shuttle fee charge on delivery, while the destination should have access to a 53 ft trailer and therefore not need the shuttle fee.
- During the whole waiting time, they were not able to provide any estimated delivery date, until one morning suddenly they call me to notify the delivery is going to be made that night on the same day, in which they inflated the charges by almost double the remaining balance and insisted can only be paid in cash.
- The company also tries to charge "long carry" for >50 ft, while in the estimated contract, it's supposed to be > 75 ft and when looking at the apartment unit, they could not even prove the distance between truck and unit door is actually > 50 ft.

This company has scammed many people, please investigate.

My primary complaint is that the company is still holding my mom's property, refusing to schedule the delivery, and demanding payment in direct breach of our signed and notarized waiver agreement. The waiver was signed under strong-arm tactics and intimidation. It explicitly stated that if we released the company from all liability they would schedule delivery. We signed the waiver only to have the company still refuse the scheduling of delivery until further payment was made. We have complied with the demands even though it was not what we agreed to and wired an additional $1100.00.

The secondary complaint is that the quote from the movers, once they arrived on site, was triple the price of the original estimate. Eventually this was reduced to double the price under the condition that we tip the drivers $1000. It is my strong opinion that this is done on purpose to initially obtain the work, with the intention of taking advantage of the customer when they are in the high stress situation of closing on a home sale, the day of the move.

On March 8, 2020, I contacted Great Moving USA moving company to discuss the moving rate from Washington DC to Columbus OH, which was scheduled with the representative Allen Parks on March 23. I received an invoice and paid the deposit in the amount of $216.00. I explained the representative that this was my first time contracting a moving company, I have not moved before and asked for guidance. I also provided a full inventory list, including the expected number of boxes. The representative told me that all I have to is to pack the boxes with my personal belongings and that the movers will wrap up the furniture, asked me whether there are stairs involved in the pickup origin, and I told him that no, there are no stairs in the condo building. On March 17, I contacted the Great Moving USA company again, and spoke with the same representative, Allan Parks. The reason I called was to update the company on the inventory list (I ended up having more boxes than originally planned, and I knew it would affect the rate). Also, I specifically asked the representative to include in the estimate strict property requirements concerning the use of the freight elevator, and that the pick up has to occur between 8am and 6pm, due to the inaccessibility to the freight elevator in the building past 6pm. The representative amended the estimate and included the property restriction for the use of the freight elevator and the hours, during which the pickup had to take place on March 23.
On March 22, I received a call from a scheduling representative, who informed me that the movers would be arriving on March 23 between 2-6pm. I reinforced again the time restrictions on the use of the freight elevator, and pleaded with the representatives to include in the order the importance of the movers to arrive in time to be able to complete the move per the condominium's requirements. She said that she will include this information on the order for the movers, but cannot guarantee. On the day of the pickup, March 23, the movers arrived at 5pm, and upon exception of the moving volume told me that this is a job for at least 3 hours and that they won't be able to complete it on the scheduled day of the pick up. At the same time, I found out about additional rates for the crew to pack glass tabletop, which increased the price by a few hundred dollars, which was entirely new information. Next piece of information from the movers stated that the number of the cubic in my estimate does not correspond to the actual volume. It turned out that the company did not update in their system the second estimate, made on March 17, which included updated inventory and the time restriction for the pickup, and the movers were operating on the original estimate from March 8, and did not know about the time restriction for the freight elevator in the building. The new estimated rate by the moving crew also increased more than twice than the updated rate the representative gave me following the update of the order on March 17. Lastly, the company offered to reschedule the pick up for $400 rescheduling fee. I refused rescheduling unless the rescheduling fee is waived and I receive additional discount on the rate due to the the company's negligence which resulted in the incomplete job scheduled on March 23. The customer service representative refused to waive the fee. Then I requested refund of the deposit in the amount of $216.00 and the customer service representative refused again. In addition to the undue stress the company caused me by failing to fulfill the contract on the specified date, which was entirely the company's fault, when I had closing and had to vacate the premises by March 25, prevented other building residents from using the only freight elevator in the building by holding the elevator reserved for the entire day, and had to find another mover on an extremely short notice, I find the refusal to refund the deposit, which I made in good faith, unacceptable. It is therefore, I cordially request Revdex.com to address the facts of the complaint and beyond substandard quality of service fairly and accordingly, and ensure that Great Moving USA refunds the deposit in the amount of $216. Thank you.

I am having a beyond hard time dealing with this company regarding a move agreement. Initially, the sales representative was friendly, accommodating and rapid response in information and assistance. Once I made my initial deposit (which holds you bind to their contract) things started to shift. The pick up time changed, the driver ran later than expected, after I was understanding of that he came in immediately estimating that the delivery would be roughly $2,000 more than estimated. He complained of things not being done a certain way when clearly it stated they would provide packing materials. The main items I requested they move and what I had initially paid for only 4 of those items were removed. The fridge was left amongst other items in which was the main reason to need a moving service for their help. After going back and forth and ultimately getting no where I was rudely told they would not refund me/ cancel and they will keep the $900 that was already paid to them as a up, just for their driver’s time in coming to the home and travel. So I made the decision to let them take whatever they said they would’ve allowed, which ended being some packed boxes, stove and treadmill It’s been 10 days since they have picked up my stuff and I have still not heard a valid estimated delivery day or date when I clearly indicated I wanted a next day move. When they started sending contracts to me it was explained as only signing giving my daughter permission to be there at the time of pick up etc. I was doing an out of state move and drove all the way to NC to beat the movers and have been here every since just receiving automated text saying their working on the matter. I am very disappointed in this company’s customer service especially the manager and the way they swindle people out of their money by over promising and under delivering. I wish they would give me a refund due to inconvenience and stress they have caused me.

I hired this moving company to transport my items from Chicago to San Diego. They picked up my items on November 6th. I elected to have them store my items for several months while arranging housing in CA. Each month, I had at least one phone call and several emails with the organization to confirm if storage was still needed for the coming months and to pay the storage costs associated ($301 per month). On 3/22/2020, my items were finally delivered to San Diego, at which time, the delivery driver handed me paperwork and a parking ticket that was incurred by the company in November when they picked up the items - which now has incurred fees equal to the amount of the original ticket. They failed to ever inform me of a ticket and are refusing to discuss the ticket with me at all. Each email is met with a response that I should "file a claim for lost/damaged items" which does not make sense in this situation. In addition, the contract I signed only states "PARKING RESTRICTIONS: Customers must confirm parking restrictions with the building/s management or local police department at both current and new locations in order for the carrier to avoid parking violations. If the truck physically or for reasons of parking restrictions cannot park close enough, Long Carrying or Shuttle Truck Service charges will apply and added to the original agreement." --- THAT CLAUSE INDICATES THAT THEY WILL INCUR PARKING VIOLATIONS - NOT THE CLIENT. There is nothing in the contract to indicate that I'm responsible for tickets, fees associated with, or that they can withhold tickets for 4 months while fees are incurred. This is predatory behavior at best and is not in keeping with good business ethics. I have requested to speak to a manager 4 times today alone (all in writing) and they are simply responding that I need to fill out a claim for 'lost/broken' items.

I was quoted$975 for my move from Munroe falls oh to Pittsburgh PA.
When the people showed up to move me, first they showed up in a Ryder rental truck. They then told me that I had to pay$600 more for shuttle service. They claimed that a traditional truck could not be used because the federal government program"Truck Path" told them that local laws would not let them use a traditional truck. Others on my street have used traditional trucks for moving.
Their driver Vaped in my house.
The driver told me, in order to get next day delivery (it is only 100 miles between my Ohio and PA locations), I HAD TO PAY IN CASH. So I ran to the bank while my real estate agent stayed at my house to get cash.
My furniture did NOT get delivered the next day. Somehow it went to a warehouse in New Jersey. It took over a week to get my furniture.
And once again, they told me"Truck Path" told them that they could not use a traditional truck, so once again, a Ryder truck showed up for another$600 charge. (Two weeks prior to the furniture delivery, a road closure caused EVERY big truck on Brownsville Rd, a main thorough fare thru Allegheny county, to drive past my house!!). They then said it was a "long haul" delivery, over 100 feet from the current to my house. ANOTHER charge of $100! Funny, the township regulations state that a house can NOT be set back more than 40 feet from the curb.
They broke a drop leaf on my sewing table, broke a wheel off the sewing table and broke a mirror support.

1) I booked the service with Great Moving for $1120.
2) On day of pick up, their service man by gut feeling increased the size of my stuff by 90 cubic feet and charged by $585.
3) Then at the time of delivery, they said that they will have to charge $800 extra because their truck won't enter in my community. When I checked with my community, I was told that all standard moving trucks enter my community all the time. So when I encountered the movers, they said they know better than me. Though I was able negotiate at $200. They said that they had to move my stuff from warehouse to smaller truck to be delivered at my house. But this is same truck which was going to Chicago and came from NJ. This proves that they did not transfer any stuff as such from any bigger truck.
4) At the day of delivery, foreman just created extra stairs by counting even the steps towards my apartment as stairs and asked for additional $225. When I called their customer service, the lady (she is the only one it seems) said that she has to go by what foreman says and hung up the phone asking me sort it out with foreman.
5) I eventually had to pay $150 cash to foreman to get my stuff move inside my apartment and assembled.
6) We figured that 1 box was missing. Foreman, without checking thoroughly, said it's not in the truck and asked me file a claim. I called the moving company right away and everyone agreed that 1 box is missing.
7) Foreman called me in the evening that they found my box in the back of truck with someone else's stuff and asked me to pick it up from 1 hour away from my location.
8) With the overall experience, I did not feel safe to go pick it up so far from home and hence asked them to deliver it later to my house.
9) After multiple follow ups, they told me on Monday (when I called them) that they trashed my box and asked me to file a claim.
10) Before this I filed a complaint with Department of Transportation (Complaint #***). Great moving did reach out to me around Jan,2020 end and offered me $100 to take my complaint back. But I did not accept that and asked them to first return my box.
11) The box had expensive shoes and was at least worth $2000 in replacement costs.

I'm moving across the country and contacted a few companies from online. I got many quotes, but this company gave the best quote. And too a deposit from me through ZELLE ($230). They sent me the contract by email from a legitimate looking email address. I have saved all email messages and are available upon request. I called back the number that called me about an hour after the initial call and the number was not in service. I called all other numbers appearing on the website and none of them answered. There wasn't even an answering service to answer.

I call this company to move some of my stuff from my house they gave me a price on what I told them I am taking but when the guy gets there they triple the price so I didn't use them so I asked for my deposit which they refused to give back please can you help me
