ALLIANT CONTACTED ME REGARDING A BILL THAT MY SON OWED MY NAME WAS NEVER ON THE LOAN CONTRACT THE GIRL THAT I SPOKE WITH SAID THAT THE DEBT AMT WAS OVER $BUT WOULD BE BROUGHT DOWN TO $2700+ IF I PAID THE BILL MY SON IS IN HIS FORTIES, BUT I FELT INTIMIDATED AS ALEXIA (REPAT ALLIANT) WAS SAYING THAT IT NEEDED TO BE TAKEN CARE OF I HAVE NEVER BEEN CONTACTED BY A DEBT COLLECTOR BEFORE WHO WAS TALKING LEGALITIES AND I WAS EXTREMELY NERVOUS I GAVE HER CREDIT CARD NOSTO BILL $OF THE DEBT TO BECAUSE I WAS SO AFRAID THAT THEY WERE GOING TO COME AFTER MY SON I WAS SUPPOSE TO BE SENT AN EMAIL FROM THEM BUT NEVER GOT IT THE NEXT DAY AFTER SPEAKING WITH MY SON I DECIDED I CANNOT FINANCIALLY BE RESPONSIBLE FOR A BILL THAT WAS NOT MINE I DID SPEAK WITH ALEXIA AND TOLD HER THAT I WAS NOT GOING TO PAY MY SONS' DEBT AND SHE SAID THAT SHE WOULD TALK TO THE COMPANY ABOUT REFUNDING MY MONEY I HAVE SINCE LEFT MSGS FOR HER STATING THAT I WANT MY CREDIT CARDS TO BE REFUNDED

This company is calling non-stop to my father and other family members harassing them and leaving threatening voicemails Also, this company, someone name Melvin is calling non-stop all day, everyday to my employer harassing and leaving threatening voicemails on my supervisor line

I have been paying Alliant Capital Management for a while now and never received a billing statementAlso, found out Alliant Capital Management isn't allowed by law to be collecting money in Maryland

My mother was contacted by this company on May 16, She was concerned because they presented themselves as a legal departmentWhen I returned the call, I could barely understand her because I was on a field trip with my sonShe explained that this was a debt and that she was pre-legalI needed to make some kind of arrangement with her or it would be "processed for legal." I received a calls from a Wendy Jleaving a number of ###-###-#### indicating if I don't call back they will seek legal actionMy vm does not identify myself so leaving details such as this is a violation of FDCAI did call the number to verify and demanded a debt validation letterThe address listed on the letter is to a PO BOX at the UPS storeThe web address http://www.***.net is under constructionI did try to *** the company it is listed as an accountant at a different address

On July 7, @ hrs, I received the following call/voicemail"This message is for *** this is Frank Jpre-legal division Alliant CapitalCall to advise you as of today, you are under pre-legal review regarding a potential claim being filed against youThis is in connection with the transaction that you previously authorized under your name and social security numberIf you wanna provide any input on the claim I will need either yourself or your attorney to contact the office ###-###-####When you call, make sure to ask for the pre-legal divisionAnd provide your claim number ***-***- USThank you" My wife got the same message, except they indicated a claim against my employer as wellAt no time did I received notice through the United States Post Office of the debt as required by lawI have my credit report in hand and have reviewed it thoroughlyThere is not mention of this company at all

I am submitting this complaint against Alliant Capital because of their poor customer service issues and rudenessAnd because of their lack of professionalism, the account that I am taking care of has been closed out and turned over for further actionI don't know about anyone else, but our credit report is important to us and this particular incident has a negative affect on his reportI understand that it was already affected prior to this, but they didn't have to further damage itAll companies should possess excellent customer service and professionalism at all times
