We will give you a discounted rate on removing the debris from your evaporator 50% off the labor. In some cases the evaporator can not be cleaned so you may need a new evaporator, we will not know until we remove it. And for the record we don't generally let customers purchase parts at a discount from our suppliers, this is a special case. Sorry you don't understand we did nothing wrong.
Hope this helps.

[redacted] has done no repairs with us on this vehicle. we will be happy to refund the 55.93 to check our the problem. 1998 Chevy pickup was dropped off to our store at Alma School for the air-conditioning not blowing cold. . We found . The compressor had failed internally causing metal particles to be dispersed through the system. . We recommend replacing compressor and all necessary components...

affected by this damage.  Money  was an issue and the AC components are very expensive, . We let Jenny purchase the parts from Napa and our discounted rate. Very nice of Joe. The discounted parts are huge financial savings and typically we do not do this.  Our business profits on both parts and labor.  Jenny needs to understand when you have a vehicle with 280,000+ miles on it and it has over 20 years old. You can find things during the repair that we could not foresee. Like the AC hose that would not come apart. It was rusted together needed to come apart. However, the threads were damaged during disassembly. . This was no one's fault just time and corrosion  played a part in this components failure. . If we did such a bad job. Why would she uses for over 10 years? . We always try to make our customers happy, . It is a two-way street. . We feel we have done everything possible to help her and she continues to be unreasonable. . We  offered to clean out the evaporator at a reduced rate. She chose to do this somewhere else. . The work performed on the air-conditioning system was done properly, . The 280,000 mile vehicle just needed more work, but she was not willing to pay, is just about money. . Greulichs feels we owe no refund Joe and his crew went above and beyond to help. Hope this helps.
Thanks, John J[redacted]

I have personally visited the shop where this faulty work was done in January 2016. They have all of the required documents including copies of our receipts from World Ford in Pensacola where the repair work was accomplished.

The response is catagorically FALSE!  The company allows anyone to purchase parts to save the 100% mark-up fee with the explicit understanding that Gruelichs provides zero warranty on those parts.  This was not a "one-off", Joe does this for anyone who asks.  The VP is 100% lieing when he states the company offered to fix the evap comp.  NO SUCH OFFER was ever made. I was told to come pick the truck up, when I did there was NO mention of a problem with the evap comp, simply that Joe would be calling me to discuss the xrta charges for the serpentine belt and upper air hose.  Bottom line I was charged $776 for a repair that was not done properly. The AC still does not work and I NEVER told them I was taking it somewhere else to be fixed, what I said was I no longer trusted them with my vehicles.  If the truck needed additional parts then Joe should have contacted me before releasing the vehicle to obtain my authorization to replace the evap comp that was allegedly worn out/ rusted (OEM parts are available for everything on this truck! regardless of miles), the store had 4 days to make the repair after I brought it back, I was not told anything other than we moved it in/out of the garage and couldn't find anything wrong. Greulichs should be ashamed of themselves wrt how they have handled this situation.  How sad they are willing to lose a customer who has spent in excess of $20,000 over 15 yrs.  Instead of making this situation right, refunding the money, apologizing for their mistakes, and getting their mechanics some much needed training, they would rather right fight and try and make this about the number of miles on my vehicle.

These are photos from Tuesday night showing the power steering fluid was not low, the dip stick was registering oil on the dipstick and the pads were not fused to anything.. I opted not to do an oil change because I did the oil change 3 weeks prior myself, the tech was basing the "past due" for oil change on an old sticker.
Please provide training to your staff instead of arguing and trying to justify.

The customer did reach out to me however she already had the repairs done at an out of network shop. I did try to get money back from the parts supplier but again there is a process and she could of made a phone call prior to having the vehicle repaired. We would have had it repaired at a shop...

within our network at no charge. It states on the back of our receipt we dont pay other shops to do warranty repairs. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Since parts take time to process still waiting? Next door neighbor Integrity not in network? No earlier mention about warranty services. Why take from Aug to Nov to state your msg contents & only after Revdex.com contact States also you do not pay towing auto was undriveable your shop only All your shops closed in Tucson. After calling # you took all day to return call had to have auto fixed for transportation. Parts $? Part process? another piostponement & then? With negatives on site and this response know why Tucson shops closed and Phx probably next. No emails or flyers or notifications as to shops closing if had been people would have known to call Phoenix. What happens to all the other work and tire warranty in future. Need some answers please.

I dont know what went wrong with the brakes however I will be happy to refund the money.

Please have them call me directly.

As loyal customer of almost "4 years" (Scott the manager was quick to point out) I'm writing this review today to warn you of the shady work done at this shop as well as the dishonesty of well you guessed it, Scott himself!

Our first experience here was with our Escape when we took it in for an oil change. My husband having met Scott believed he was of good trustworthy character and so we decided this was our go to mechanic.

After buying an Explorer that just had the transmission replaced a couple months prior to purchase we had a few issues. We take it up to Greulichs where low and behold we have to replace the transmission, hmmm should have been our first clue. Let's just say this shop is in no hurry to get your car back to you. Scott had us bring him "cash" only to buy the used transmission. After two weeks without having our car Scott was just so gracious to supply us with a rental vehicle for 3 days which barely fit our family of 5. Finally after picking up our Explorer we're told we need to replace hoses, harmonic balancer, bearings, radiator and God only knows what else. Well several hundreds of dollars later we've replaced everything this shop has suggested needed replaced. Go figure that after every repair something else was broken. Oh let me just say we sold this vehicle still needing repairs suggested from this shady mechanic.

Later. We purchased an RV that needed a new ignition. Oh figure the steering column had to be replaced as well. Guess again what Scott wanted us to bring. Yep, you guessed it! Cash to purchase parts. While the RV sits in the hood awaiting repairs we get the phone call that they cannot release the vehicle because the hoses and radiator have to be replaced. They cannot release the vehicle until it's done because it's too dangerous. Sound familiar? We'll stop there with the RV complaints, dishonest diagnoses and lies from Scott.

We took our Escape back up to the shop for an oil change. Here we get a whole list of mechanical issues on a car that has never had any issues. Two of the issues were a brake booster and o2 sensors. As usual we were able to supply the parts or I'm sure cash would have been happily accepted. Needless to say, the brake booster was put in half assed and by gully the 02 sensors were incorrect. However this didn't stop the shop from charging us full labor for replacing both parts.

Now our cruise control doesn't work along with a list of incomplete work that should have been done while replacing the brake booster.

We contacted the shop and were told by Scott to bring the car up to be checked. Upon arrival we were told they could no longer afford us as customers, they aren't refunding any money they incorrectly charged and they are not fixing the issues. Quoted out of Scott's mouth..." We don't know the cruise control wasn't working. We don't drive the cars to check". Well that's a little scary you don't drive the cars to check for your own errors. Or is it because it's easier to rape your customers for more money in the already poor job you've done.

Luckily for us, I was smart enough to keep those hand written receipts from Scott for cash we've brought there and all my maintenance receipts. So upon being told we've spent less than $300 there in "almost 4" years is a load of BS!

Don't think the VP is of any help. He's full of hot smoke too. I'll happily be writing to the Revdex.com and leaving my review on every possible site to help future victims of this dirty, lying and over all crooked shop!

On November 2 [redacted] brought his 2005 Chrysler 300 to Greulichs due to engine running rough and a check engine light. We found the system to be lean and a P0174 code system to lean. After checking it with a smoke machine we found several very large leaks the EGR  gasket was leaking and the...

crankcase hose was split. These are leaks that had to be fixed on this model the intake was removed to gain access to the leaking components. The vehicle ran much better after these leaks were repaired. The vehicle still needs a new intake manifold assembly. There are components in this manifold that are starting to fail due to the high mileage of the vehicle 194,000 miles were on the vehicle when we made this repair. Due to all the vacuum leaks and high mileage we follow best practice and repaired the leaks we could find first. We were unaware of this bad component during the time of repair. After re-inspecting the vehicle for a check engine light we found the manifold needed to be replaced. We offer to do the job at no cost labor and our cost on the part. This part failed due to high mileage not negligence on our part and we feel this is a fair offer. The car does run much better than when it came in. The only thing we did wrong in this case was not recommend the manifold when we had it off to replace the leaking gaskets that were causing the engine to run rough. We would be happy to replace the manifold at no charge labor and sell the part at our cost. Please feel free to contact me at ###-###-#### thanks [redacted]

My car barely started this morning and I knew it was time for a new battery. I take my car for service at the 32nd and Greenway location. They open at 7:30. I arrived at 7:10. I saw employees in the garage area, and not wanting to turn off my car - I called. Jason answered and told me to shut off my car and come right in. I had a new battery before 8:00!

I will discuss this with the people involved we do try sorry if you do not accept our response. We agreed to refund you.

In response to the complaint. The tech preformed testing and found that the engine control module had a failure in it at the time of testing. The ignition module passed testing at the time. That is why it was recommended to replace it. We cannot say that it was an...

intermediate issue that was failing at the time of testing. If the customer has the part I will try to get a reimbursement for what we charged for. Please let me know.
Thanks, John [redacted]

In response to this issue Greulichs or any other shop is not responsible for parts they did not supply. The customer was trying to save money so the hoses looked ok at that time so we did not replace them. I will refund $120 for Evac and Recharge even though the compressor that failed was not...

supplied by us a warranty should be issued by the parts supplier due to it being defective. We were just trying to help in most cases we don't install customer supplied parts for this reason.
Refund $120.00

Thanks John J[redacted]

We followed best practice,

[redacted] had brought the car in on 6/7/14 for a died in flight condition. At that time we diagnosed the distributer to be the problem. As part of the diagnosis the technician found no spark, and verified the distributer has gone bad. [redacted] authorized...

the distributer replacement. On 7/09/14 [redacted] brought the car back in for what he was saying was the same concern and vehicle started and ran fine but, after speaking to the customer we found out that the car wasn’t having the same concern but, loosing power, and eventually stalled. Further inspected for power loss and removed the catalytic converter and took a closer look and found the catalytic converter had come apart causing a restriction in the exhaust. Spoke with [redacted] and he authorized the repair at that time. On 7/15/14 the car was brought back in for stalling and died in flight. Further inspected and found the new distributer we had installed had gone bad. We replaced the distributer under warranty using a different manufactures part. We road tested to verify concern was resolved and no other problems were found at this time. Upon customer picking up the car I had offered to show Mr. [redacted] the failed catalytic converter and he declined.

We don't see why he needs a refund. What did we do wrong?

Best regards,

We apologize you had any issue with your warranty. We get back to you quickly however, there is in the approval process. You have a two-year 24,000 mile nationwide warranty through the Napa auto care program. Please contact me directly Moving forward for any warranty issues on work performed by Greulichs [redacted].

We apologize for any inconvenience John J[redacted]

The catalytic converter was installed because it failed a back pressure test. Your vehicle had almost 5 pounds of back pressure before the converter, this indicates the catalytic converter is plugged. My staff showed you your-old catalytic converter. We will be happy to reinstall your old converter. We will then refund you for the part not the labor. Your old converter is definitely bad you can come down to our store and we will be happy to show you. [redacted] and I both left messages for you to call us. I have not received a phone call.

If you have any questions please call [redacted] at [redacted]

Best regards,

I took my car in for a window regulator. First they quoted 270 but when I picked up the car they tried to charge me 500. I would not pay and somehow the price dropped again. They even added some charges to the bill they could not explain.

Then I got into my car and the power steering was shot. I could not even turn the steering wheel. I told them about it and they accused me of trying to get free service.

Avoid these guys they are gonna break thing on your car so you go back to them for repairs.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The vehicle did not operated properly after the new catalytic converter system was installed so how does Gruelich's want to explain that? The entire problem was solved with a new TPS sensor which was supposed to be tested by the business and obviously was not.
