HireRight was contacted to conduct a background screening on [redacted] on October 29th, The background screening was completed and results provided to the potential hiring company on November 13th, The general timeframe to complete the background investigation is three to five business days but occasionally there are factors outside of HireRight’s control that extends this turnaround time In the case of [redacted] ’ background screening there were delays with the criminal court in Douglas County Georgia that extended the turnaround time [redacted] ’ potential employer was notified throughout the background screening process of these delays on three separate occasions If [redacted] believes any information returned on his background screening to be inaccurate he is entitled under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (F.C.R.A.) to file a formal dispute which we show [redacted] did on Monday November 24th, HireRight makes every effort to resolve disputes as quickly as possible and our internal goal is to average less than 10-business days on resolution of all disputes However, because certain elements required to resolve lay outside of HireRight’s control, we are unable to guarantee a resolution time in all cases Nonetheless, these are a priority for HireRight and we handle them as such HireRight confirmed and removed the disputed information from [redacted] reports on December 18th, A letter advising of the completion of his dispute along with an updated copy of his report was mailed to [redacted] on December 20th, If [redacted] has any additional questions concerning his background screening report or the dispute process with HireRight, he can contact the HireRight Applicant Care Team at [redacted] option or via email at [email protected] and reference Case# [redacted]

you did not have the great candidate experience we strive forAs a consumer reporting agency regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and other federal, state, and local laws, we make every effort to be sure that the information we report to our customers about their candidates is accurate. HireRight has completed a reinvestigation of the concerns you expressed in your Revdex.com Complaint and will be responding to you shortly. HireRight takes
very seriously the statutory obligation to furnish only up to date, complete,
and accurate information to employers with a
permissible purpose to obtain a
consumer report. HireRight has in place strict procedures to ensure
maximum possible accuracy.
In the event a
consumer believes there is discrepancy, HireRight has FCRA compliant procedures
in place to work with and help any consumer who wishes to dispute the accuracy
of an item of information found in their screening report.
Mr*** has
filed disputes directly with HireRight regarding the information noted in his
complaint with the Revdex.com. In accordance with the provisions of the Fair
Credit Reporting Act HireRight is conducting a thorough reinvestigation of
those items in dispute. Mr*** will be contacted directly as soon as
the reinvestigation is complete

Here is our response to Mr***’s complaint: Mr*** contacted HireRight on December 26th, stating a criminal record provided to his prospective employer did not belong to him. Mr*** provided a new social security number that was different by one digit
HireRight confirmed during the call with Mr*** that the identifiers were being accurately entered for the disputeMr*** verified the identifiers twice and they were later confirmed to have been entered correctly based on Mr***’s confirmation During the call, Mr*** was asked if he could provide identification to assist in the dispute process but he advised that he did not have identification. He stated could provide a Military document if HireRight would sign a Government waiver information form. HireRight did not pursue this further and promptly filed a dispute using the new information that was provided by Mr***. As part of the reinvestigation, HireRight contacted the Fairfax County 19th General District Court who confirmed the disputed court records were a match to Mr*** by first and last name and to the Social Security Number he had provided. Mr*** was mailed a letter advising of the outcome of HireRight’s Dispute re-investigation on January 7th, 2015. HireRight also provided Mr*** with contact information he could use to notify the court if he believed there was possible inaccurate information in his file. Mr*** disputed this information a second time providing slightly different identifiers and the record was again found to match to Mr*** based on certain identifiers. Mr*** called again asking for a dispute to be filed. As HireRight had disputed the information twice and both times Mr*** had confirmed the identifiers he provided were accurate; HireRight advised Mr*** that we would be happy to file another dispute if he provided further information indicating the item is inaccurate or incomplete HireRight suggested that Mr*** provide the Government wavier, he mentioned previously, for HireRight to sign so he could provide a copy of his Military identification. This would ensure that HireRight is using accurate information for the dispute process. Mr*** declined to provide the Government waiver stating he did not want the identification somehow being tied to his report and the inaccurate information. He again stated he had no other identification. If Mr*** has any additional questions concerning his background screening report or would like to provide identification or further information indicating the record is incomplete or inaccurate, he can contact the HireRight Applicant Care Team at 866-521-6995 option or via email at [email protected]. *** ***Manager of Consumer and Applicant Care HireRightPhone: ***.***@hireright.com Intelligence to move forward. www.hireright.com

Mr*** contacted HireRight on March 30th, stating that information provided to his prospective employer was incorrect. HireRight immediately opened a Dispute re-investigation on Mr***’s behalf. As part of the re-investigation, HireRight reached out to Mr***’s previous
employer to advise of the dispute filed by Mr*** and requested they review the information in their files and verify the accuracy of the information Mr*** disputed. Mr***’s previous employer reviewed their records and responded with specific information relating to the disputed items and confirmed the record was accurate. Mr*** was mailed a letter advising of the outcome of HireRight’s Dispute re-investigation on April 28th, 2016. Mr*** requested a copy of the procedures used in his re-investigation on May 3rd, 2016. A copy of this letter was mailed to Mr*** on May 4th, 2016.If Mr*** has any additional questions concerning his background screening report or would like to provide further information indicating the record is incomplete or inaccurate, he may contact HireRight Applicant Care Team at ***option or via email at [email protected]
