We have tried to resolve this issue several time.  I have our field super attached Glen Murata who is attached and will be contacting the customer it shows in our system the service was completed mid feb and we show no other complaints after that date.Update customer paid in full on 2/23/16...

We've had numerous points of contact with this customer since July  (please see emails below) but he's extremely difficult and so a lien has been placed on his property for non-payment. If he is now pulling the "give me 50% of my money back or I'm going to threaten you with the Revdex.com"...

tactic, that makes things even more challenging for us. We replaced two handles on his windows and we are now scheduled to paint the interior of his windows on the 22nd of next month, which is the only thing we haven't done up to this point to try and make the client happy.  We have gone way above and beyond with this client but sometimes you run across a client who isn't ever going to be truly happy. Best,E[redacted]

American Vision Windows has been in communication with Ms. H[redacted] to address her concerns and had a representative from the manufacture inspect the door which resulted that there was a little less than a 1/16 of an inch bow across from the entire 8' door that does not qualify for a...

door replacement and is functioning properly to industry standards. Also, at the time of the original installation this project was inspected and passed by the City of Los Angeles building and safety- there was no correction notice required for any product installed by us.  Ms. H[redacted] has an update of these inspections and aware of the results at this time.

response because:A major premise of the complaint was the slow service, lack of communication, and misquoting the pricing on the shutters we originally selected. I did receive an email from AVW (T[redacted]) on March 14th (I called again the same day I submitted this complaint).  T[redacted]'s email stated: "Thank you for your phone call today, I apologize about the delays you have had. I have contacted C[redacted] with the San Jose store, and she said that she will email you some dates for install. Please feel free to contact me, if you should have any questions."The day I spoke to Tishina, she indicated the shutters should be completed the following week.  The Revdex.com update from AVW indicates the shutters were still a month out from being completed.  AVW seems to have severe scheduling, production, and/or communication issues.  In regard to the email response from Tishina, I have not yet heard from C[redacted].  Also AVW has not offered to make an concessions for its pricing error, not to mention the poor communication and production/install delays.

Review: I purchased 5 tanning sessions on 4/**/14 and spent $143. Every time I went to go use them, I found the doors locked and lights closed during operating business hours. The last time I attempted to use the sessions I purchased, I found a note on the door stating that they have gone out of business! So essentially, they convinced me to buy a high level package, and charged me for a service they KNEW they were not going to provide me since they went out of business the week after!!! It's an absolutely deplorable business practice.Desired Settlement: I want my money back. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Review: Dear Revdex.com: I am requesting a refund of $54.04 for services not rendered to me from Hollywood Tans. I went to the salon to get a tan on Sept **, 2013. I paid my $54.04. Upon entering the tanning booth, there was a malodorous scent coming from the machine. I did not use the tanning services and went to discuss the refund with the staff. I then attempted to to discuss the matter twice with [redacted], the manager. He refused to refund my money. And now will not return my calls at this point. I am left with no choice than to put in a formal complaint for services not rendered. I am requesting a refund from Hollywood Tans of $54.04 to my credit card. Please help resolve the matter. Thank you, [redacted] Phone: ###-###-####Desired Settlement: Refund of $54.04 to credit card.

Hello,

Hollywood Tans refunded my $54.04 in full.

This complaint is closed.

Thank you for your help,

Review: I went to the business as I still have some tanning sessions left from what I initially purchased, to find that the business has closed down. I emailed the corporate headquarters on the website, they responded that it's privately franchised owned and they went out of business. She wasn't even able to tell me how many sessions I have left which I don't understand because your able to use your session at any Hollywood tans. She was able to tell me the owners name, which is "[redacted]" not sure how many sessions I have left but I do have some remaining. This is fraud and theft. How can I get my money back?Desired Settlement: Money credited back to my card.

Review: I purchased 20 tanning sessions (half bed / half spray) for $294.73 on 4/**/14 from location:

Hollywood Tans [redacted] Then, I showed up to use my tanning sessions a few days later and they were closed during normal business hours. Then, I called and there was no answer. Today, the number is out of service and I hear that they are closed from their corporate headquarters (closed for business). They charged me for a tanning package that I cannot use. That is fraud. That is also stealing my hard-earned money.Desired Settlement: Refund $294.73 to my american express.

Review: On June 18, 2013, I purchased a product at the Hollywood Tans in Mission Valley which was supposed to be held for me at another Hollywood Tans location (El Cajon, Ca.) because they were the only location that had the product in stock. It was the last one. The product was sold at the other location (El Cajon) even though it was paid for because the associate at the other location failed to notate the sale properly. I discovered this on June 23, 2013 after my boyfriend made the drive to pick up the product. I was coincidentally already at the Mission Valley location on June 23, and spoke to an associate about the purchase gone wrong. She notified me that it would be re-ordered and that, "it would not take too long." I was also told that they would contact me as soon as the product came in. After about two weeks and not hearing anything, I followed up about the product. I was told by a manager named [redacted] that it she would look into it and call me back. No call back. I called [redacted] a few days later and she cut me off and told me she was busy and would call me back AGAIN. I contacted one of the owners, [redacted] afterward. I called [redacted] 7/15/13. The associates said that she was busy on another phone call but I would receive my product "for sure by Friday" per [redacted]. I called Friday. None of the associates knew about my product. I asked to receive a call back, and I haven't heard from anyone since. It has been more than one month since I've paid for the product .Desired Settlement: I would like my product.

Review: Went to the tanning salon three times. Third time a day after I left I had something wrong with my left foot. I went to a dr who said I have a severe case of plantar's wart usually from a communal area. Haven't taken a shower anywhere but home. Aha, the tanning parlor foot petals that I have to rotate on for spray tan. Call the salon They say owner will call me. 3 1/2 weeks later, she graces me with a call. She says she will have her insurance company call on Monday. It is Friday no call. I call the salon today, receptionist says she has another call and starts laughing.Desired Settlement: When her insurance company contacts me I have lost wages, medications, gas to Dr., had to take vacation time, PAIN AND SUFFERING THE WORST I HAVE EVER KNOWN

Response:

Here at Hollywood Tans, Cleanliness is our number one priority. Not only are our Booths cleaned before and after each customer use but no such case has ever happened in the 9 years of this Company. Mystic Tan has also verified that in their 25 years of business and distribution of Mystic Product, this has been un herd of. Ms. [redacted] has failed to provide medical documents stating that she in fact contracted this "Planter Wart" from Hollywood Tans.

Ms. [redacted] has been refunded the full amount owed to her and this matter is now considered closed.

This claim has since been turned over to our insurance company due to an abundance of harassing phone calls from Ms. [redacted] to all 9 locations.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and first of all, I called two locations and visited one, but yes, HAVE NOW RECEIVED A REFUND. I DON'T CARE IF THIS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE IT HAPPENED TO ME AND IT HAPPENED THERE AND I HAVE LOST INCOME AND BEEN UNABLE TO WALK DUE TO THEIR UNCLEANLINESS.

Regards,

Review: I have been a customer at this location since it opened. I buy more "tans" whenever they go on sale. Over the years, I go in, the girl behind the counter determines which "tan" they use. My records indicated I still had 6 tans on the books. I went in and was told my tans had expired. Knowing I had just purchased more tans the month before, I asked how this could happen. She said they were old tans. 1. I thought a business cannot expire a service you have paid for and 2. the business is choosing which tans they are taking from my accounts, so that would be . . unethical? I asked to have the mgr call me on my cell ph. She left a msg at my hm number. I went to the business on numerous occasions asking for the mgr and was told she wasn't there. I asked to be contacted by their corporate office. I was told [redacted] would call me back, he never did. I went in and asked for the corporate phone number. No one ever answers at the number I was given.Desired Settlement: I want the tans I paid for.

Business

Response:

This issue was resolved back on December 15th 2014. We extended her tans on her account to April 10th 2014. We placed several calls to the client with no answers and left voice mail's each time.

Review: I had cancelled my membership back on January 26, 2015 through the owner of this establishment. The reason I cancelled was because they said they can no longer hold on to my lotions. Well my rationality thought, if they can't hold my lotions, then they can't hold my card information, and just as I suspected they had unauthorized charges to my credit card. I had to cancel my credit card because the owner never got back to me to correct her mistakes. I don't know how many other people they have done this to, but I have heard there canceling procedures are anything less then professional.Desired Settlement: I would like them to establish better (lawful) canceling procedures with proof/notification of cancelation, so they can't claim to keep charging you. It would be practical for the business and the costumer to each have an electronic or paper trail to avoid future disputes. I would also like an apology for the added stress brought on by their incompetence.

Review: I signed up for a one month use of the facility. The establishment is billing me every month. I did not agree to a multi month contract at any poin in time. I have called numerous times and am told that only the manager can help but the manager is not in and try tomorrow. This has gone on for at least 10 times. I have left my phone number but have not recieved a call back.Desired Settlement: Stop billing me.

Review: I first used Hollywood Tans in Union through a [redacted] deal, $19 for 1 month of unlimited tanning. When I arrived on the 6th of the month, I was informed that I would be enrolled in the reoccurring monthly payment plan. I did not like this but I was told all I had to do was cancel that before my month expired. So before the 6th of the next month I called to cancel my plan and learned that I had already been charged, on the 1st of the month! I explained that this did not seem proper to charge me for my second month despite starting my monthly plan on the 6th. I tried to cancel my plan and was told I could not do it over the phone. I explained that their location was not as convenient for me as I hoped it would be and ended up only using the tanning facilities twice in my month and that I could not come to the cancel my plan in person and would like to have them refund me my month and cancel my plan. The woman said she would leave a message for her manager to contact me. I never received a call and when I finally spoke with the manager my situation, she refused to refund or cancel my plan over the phone. I was unable to drive to the facility and was subsequently charged another two months. So I have paid $20 per month for three months without using the facility except for twice in the first enrollment month. My primary two complaints are that I was uninformed when I first purchases the [redacted] that I would have become a monthly member, and then when I agreed I was not told I would have to come in to cancel. And then further that I was charged on a date that was sooner than 30 days from my initial enrollment. When I tried to take care of the situation, the management first unresponsive and then was not helpful in seeking an alternative arrangement for canceling my policyDesired Settlement: I would like a refund for the months I was enrolled, especially for the first month when I was charged before my 1st month expired.
