Ms. [redacted] spoke to our customer service representative yesterday in regards to our service. At that time she could have requested a refund of service and [redacted] our customer service representative would have processed it immediately. Our service is most beneficial to new homeowners...
that is why we send our mailing out at that time. The sooner a homeowner can file their Designation of Homestead the sooner they become eligible for the equity protection offered by the state. We are sorry if Ms. [redacted] was confused by our service, but we offer information to contact us or listen to our per-recorded message (available 24 hours a day) on every item we send out. We have gone ahead and refund the credit card Ms. [redacted] used to sign up for the initial service of $35 and will mail her a refund check on 5/19/2016 for the $39.
I received your complaint in regards to Mr. [redacted]. After looking up his informationin our mail database we have only mailed Mr. [redacted] one time so I am not quitesure how he has contacted us in the past to be removed from our list. Unfortunately the information we received isfree public...
data from the county recorder’s office so that would be why Mr.[redacted] keeps receiving solicitations from several businesses. Mr. [redacted] also states he registered with the Do Not Solicit website. In researching this on the FTC website this is for prescreened offers like insurance and credit cardmailings only which is controlled by the credit bureaus directly. If Mr. [redacted] completed the form the FTCwould have mailed to him for this type of opt out service it would not affectmy mailing or many others.Our company only mails to peoplewhen they have made a change to their homes recording in the county recorder’soffice like a new mortgage, deed change, re-finance etc. I would recommend Mr. [redacted] contact hisCounty Recorder’s office if he does not want them sharing this information withdata vendors around the country.
