[redacted] out the door price was $18400, including tax, title and licenseHe purchased additional products in the finance departmentWe have sent copies of the additional products he purchased with his signature on the acceptance of the products and prices to the OCCC, where he has also lodged a complaintWe are responding to their inquiries alreadyPlease refer to themWe are not sure why [redacted] claims he did not receive paperwork, he contracted late Saturday night and he was here at 8:Monday morning with the paperworkWe have already given him forms for the warranty cancellation

We waited the agreed upon three days and did not receive anything [redacted] states the credit union emailed the draft to us on the third dayIf he could contact his credit union and have them forward the email that they sent, it will be time stampedIt's possible it got hung up in junk or spam, but the record will clearly show when the credit union forwarded it, and to whomI polled the entire finance staff, and no one recived a call or faxPlease forward the email to [redacted] Thanks

The refunded amount on the extended warranty and GAP coverage does get sent to your lienholder to do the very thing you mentioned, it reduces the principal and taxes and the interest charges as the principal balance does get reduced by those refundsI'm not sure who told you any differently, but that is what happensI'm not sure what you mean by "third party" as all warranty comapanies, including Honda, are third party companiesYou are correct in saying that you already had one year of coverage paid for by the dealership for some of your warranites included in the driveout price, those cannot be cancelledYou were informed that those warranties were extensions of the one year already provided by us and signed, by you, to that effectAll the coverage that can be cancelled has beenThank you

[redacted] did bring her car in for an oil changeOur lube technician changed the oil but heard a knock coming from the engineWith [redacted] ’ approval and an explanation of the noise he was hearing, the technician then brought the vehicle to the shop foreman to diagnose the knockWe supplied her with a loaner vehicle so she could go about her business as we went about the business of diagnosing the engineThe shop foreman, suspecting that the technician forgot to put the oil back in and ran it dry, as has happened in the past, pulled the bottom of the engine to check for scoring on the crank shaft and bearing, which would be the markers of running the engine without oilHe found noneHe then thought that maybe the technician put too much oil in the car causing a rod to bend on the upper endThe rods were fineWe have had technicians make mistakes in the past and will more likely than not make them in the futureWe have, and no doubt will, replace those enginesIt is a cost of doing business and one we anticipate periodically, like any dealership or major repair facility Knowing that the issue was not with a lack of, or too much, oil in the engine, the foreman began looking deeperHe found metal shavings in the oil pan, an oil pan that had been replaced with far too much silicon, and rust on the cams, which should never be there and proved that the engine had been opened and exposed to the elements The front crank and bearing #were coming apart, a process that takes time and is usually the result of a defect, improper repair or many, many years of wear and tear, but certainly not a condition that should occur otherwise, particularly on a fairly new vehicle After researching further, the foreman discovered that the vehicle bore a salvage titleA salvage title is issued when a vehicle is totaled, put back together and resoldThe newer the vehicle, the more sever the damage, as insurance companies issue a total loss when the damage is at or more that 75% of the car’s value We called [redacted] to see if they would warranty the engine, but once the condition of the engine was disclosed, along with the disclosure of the salvage title, [redacted] declined to warranty the engine We explained our findings and [redacted] decision to [redacted] , in Spanish, to assure her understandingShe told us to fix the car as it must be our faultAs it was rather the fault of whoever repaired the engine damage from the accident, we declinedWe told her we would put the engine back together and she could take the carShe said to leave it as it was, she was sending in her expert mechanic Her mechanic came in and said we ran the car without oilWhen we pointed out that there was no scoring on the crank and bearing and that scenario was therefore impossible, he said we must have put too much oil in it, thenWhen we proved that there was no bent rod and that that could not be the case, he then switched back to his assertion that we must not have put oil in it, and pointed to the dirty oil that had been dripping from the pump and had not had the chance for the new oil run through itWe were a bit confused as to his qualifications, as it was clear where the oil was dripping from, and should have been obvious to any shade tree mechanic, let alone an expert We then received a call from a woman who claimed she was an attorney, though not representing [redacted] , and also a special agent with the FBI, who demanded that we do something about itWhen we explained to her the issues, which she was not aware of, and asked why she was using her title of an attorney and an [redacted] agent in communicating with us, though the [redacted] was not investigating and she was not the attorney of record, she became far less aggressive and asked us to put the car back togetherAs she was not the customer, we could not take directives from herWe have been trying to reach [redacted] to see how she would like to proceed, but she has yet to return any or our numerous calls to her We suspect that the overuse of silicon in the previous repair caused it to break up and get sucked into the bearingThis would certainly fit with what we see going on in the engineIt was simply a poor repair, as also evidenced by the engine being open and exposed to the elementsThe repair was not done in a professional shop We have been very patient, but at this point, [redacted] needs to collect her vehicleWe will gladly put it in the shape it was when we received it at no charge, but that will be the extent of what we can doWe will begin charging storage on April 4th, as we need the room immediately to service the current airbag recall through ***We have many cars waiting on parts for that recall and those vehicles are beginning to stack up, as [redacted] has approved loaners for the owners of those vehicles until they are repaired While we never like to tell a customer no or ask them to have another [redacted] dealer or [redacted] certified technician to look at their car, we are doing so in this caseThank you

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint Thank you for providing the breakdown of the total priceHowever, why am I not able to cancel the coverage when: 1) it was misrepresented to me as "extended warranty" when it was of a third-party provider, and not by Honda? At no point within the transaction did anyone say it was by a third-party provider, all they simply said was that I can purchase "extended warranty that extends the original coverage I have from Honda by X number of years"2) when the the finance manager was "informing" me of the "extended warranty" he never stated the so-called "extra coverage" was not part of the "extended warranty"All he stated was the extended warranty includes "extra coverage and the term of the extended bumper to bumper warranty"When telling us about the extended warranty, the finance manager told us our monthly payments without any extended warranty or coverage with just the out the door price would be around $[with the interest rate] and if we add the warranty it would be about $I just calculated the out the door price with the interest rate for months would be around $[just now]; that being said, the finance manager LED us to believe the the total cost of the "extended warranty/coverage" is to be around additional $monthly ($1,total) by fraudulently misinforming us that the out the door price of $25,with interest rate will be $per month for months, instead of the correct $per month of monthsOn the other hand, after reading the papers regarding these coverages, the vehicle already comes with year of all of these coverages with the out the door price agreed uponThe "extended warranty/coverage" just increases the coverage years to either years or years-- so why can't the additional years of coverage be returned when the original out the door price already includes year of all these coverages? (Especially when no claims were filed, and no coverage was used beyond year as I just purchased the vehicle less than a month ago??) On top of that, the amount that is to be refunded for GAP and "Extended Warranty" should/and is supposed to go towards the original principal in order to lower the principal [redacted] AND Taxes [redacted] AND *finance(interest charges) [redacted] as the financed amount is to be lowered after the refunds of all these extra warranties/coverages and gapsBecause I should NOT be paying the principal on something I did not purchase anymore, the finance charges on an amount that that is not financed anymore, nor should I pay taxes on something I did not purchase anymore ***- [redacted] ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint I did not receive the full amount I should have received and I want an apology for the amount of time (months) it took to process the check and the lack of customer service I recieved Regards,

BEWARE OF FRAUD!!! This is by far the most CROOKED dealership I have ever dealt with They inflate invoice pricing with hidden fees, practice bait and switch, and do not supply car buyers with the proper and REQUIRED documentation upon completion of sale I walked in this dealership and was 100% up front and honest about my financial situation That was mistake number Mistake number was just walking in the door! The salesman used my honesty against me He pulled a bait and switch on me and used aggressive and UNETHICAL sales tactics to scare me in to buying my car Now, I am stuck with a [redacted] car that has been in the shop at the dealership FOUR times in months and only about 14K miles for BRAKE jobs!! The brakes keep wearing out and all they will tell me is - it's wear and tear! WHAT?! So, I beg everyone - if this is the case DO NOT BUY A HONDA!!! Also, when I purchased my vehicle I asked for a copy of the sales contract and all documents I had signed I was told they would be mailed to me? So I waited for them to arrive, but when they didn't I began to call the finance department at the dealership After months of someone lying to me that they had been dropped I in the mail, I finally went and sat in the lobby and waited for my copies An hour later, I received a very faint copy of only a one page sales contract - with ONLY MY signaturePretty sure this makes the contract INVALID! Also, the finance manager DENIED me from purchasing GAP insurance My finance company was floored when they found this out! They told me they always require their borrowers to purchase GAP insurance and they are not sure why I was told NO when I asked to purchase it I am now seeking legal advice for my next steps If you do choose to go here to buy a car - BEWARE- they are LIARS and take advantage of people I am not the only victimJust go check out their [redacted] reviews The negative FAR out weigh the positiveHopefully someone will find enough people who have suffered the same fraudulent practices and legally put a stop to all of this abuse! The owner of this dealership is difficult to identify - [redacted] ** They are listed as "Private" Sketchy! This experience has ruined me from ever wanting to drive another Honda ever again! So much for being honest and attempting to buy something reliable

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] Regards, I emailed the receipt to you just now If you would like a more detailed receipt I can contact Milstead and ask if they can send me one Please let me know if you do not receive itThank you, [redacted]

[redacted] did say that the check had bouncedThis is what prompted me to ask what she was trying to collectI never even mentioned the vehicle sitting on our parking lot until [redacted] picked it upI specifically told her we were not pushing the contract through, though we could, as it's legally bindingI stated that we would void the contract but I would have to check with the general manager on the return of her down paymentThis point was reitererated the next morning when she called and asked for copies of the contractsI said, "There is no contract, because we voided it, remember?" She stipulates this conversationWhy would I say that if I intended to do what she claims? She then said she needed a copy of the contracts for her attorney, and I told her to have her attorney contact us, as anyone else at any business would doThe selective memory [redacted] refers to is projectionRegardless, we will return her down payment on the breached contract once she supplies proof that it went thorughThe accounting department will require it, regardless of the amount of time that's passedAs for me contacting her through her personal email, I did so because after reading the Revdex.com complaint, it occured to me that her check did not bounce, and our entire conversation was based on the fact that she told me it didI communicated that through her personal email because if in fact the check did not bounce, then she would get her money back, and I could not add another addendum to the Revdex.com complaintI though she might like to know that and get her money backBut I can promise, this dealership has no intentions of contacting her again via email or phoneHonda Cars of Katy did absolutely nothing wrong in this processWe did not breach the contract [redacted] made an informed decision over a lenghty period of time, signed her name in numerous areas on the contract, waitied for days to inform anyone of her intent to breach, and suffered NSF fees as a result

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint All the coverage, warranties, GAP, extensions, and etcthat can be cancelled have already been cancelled-- is that correct? Meaning I do NOT have to do anything more & anything else as everything that can be cancelled is already done? ***- [redacted] ***

We do want to clarify something[redacted] , when asked, told us that her $ [redacted] check had bouncedThe manager asked her then what she was wanting to collect, and she stated that she wanted her NSF feesIn her resolution request, however, she states that she wants the return of her $ [redacted] We are still operating under the assumption that what she told us is true, that her check did bounceWe have yet to receive notice of that, but it typically takes a few days and the comptroller is out, so we cannot tell today if it bounced in our accountIf it did not bounce, I don't know why she would tell us it did, but we will gladly refund her down paymentIf it did bounce, I'm not sure why she would ask for the $ [redacted] that we were unable to collect from her

Honda agreed to reimburse $ [redacted] of the $ [redacted] repairI will consider this matter resolved-- thanks very much for your time!

We apologize that Mr [redacted] feels the way he does, however we do not set the rates a lender agrees to finance a customer forThe lender does thatAttached is the original approval from [redacted] , listing their buy rateWe were able to negotiate it down from there, and felt we did a pretty good jobIn the initial negotiation process, we told Mr [redacted] that we would certainly try to get the rate he desired, but informed him before he signed anything what the rate ended up beingIt was fully disclosed on the contracts he signed, and told to him verbally, before he signed, by his own admissionMr [redacted] had the option, before he sigend, to either decline the terms or seek financing elsewhereThe latter option is still available to himThe loan is simple interest with no prepayment penaltyHe can go to any bank and refinance itPerhaps a different lender will offer him what he desires. Our goal is for all customers to be happy, but we are often limited by what's available from the lenders we useWe hope the attachment will help Mr [redacted] to understand thisFeel free to call or email with any questions

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] Regards, Once again, I will repeat what I said I told [redacted] that they should not have sent the check through on the evening of [redacted] *** As a result of that transaction, it caused other items to bounceI sheepishly asked her for the check amount back of $ [redacted] and asked her to cover my NSF fees If she read into that or heard what she wanted to hear that is forever more going to fall into the "He said, She said" categoryAllow me to back up to the [redacted] *** I drove several [redacted] ***'s and even a [redacted] After that I was told about a car that had come in that was in the shop getting a complete make over on the sun roof along with all the seals on the doors and back hatch doorWhen I went out to the shop to look at the vehicle all the doors were open and parts and supplies were surrounding the vehicle I decided to wait and test drive and check out this vehicle further once the repairs were made I chose to wait on a job that the technician was already working on regardless if I wanted it or not But I chose to wait to check it out During that time, I allowed myself to be talked into signing the dotted line on this vehicle before fully checking it out and driving it Lesson learned on that situation Once the vehicle was put back together I drove the vehicle, got out and walked around the entire vehicle with the doors closed this time I looked around the vehicle and that is when I saw large deep marks on the lower front passenger door and the right front bumper of the vehicle I immediately said; "Oh no, this is not goodThis vehicle has been in a wreck of some kind" [redacted] (salesman) saw the damage, the cleanup/detail attendants saw it as well [redacted] quickly said; "Oh that's no problem, I'll get this right over to the body shop and they'll take care of that I immediately went to [redacted] and said; "That vehicle has been in a wreck of some kind" She said; "No it hasn't, it's not on the Carfax." I laughed and said; "That doesn't mean it's not so Just because that information hasn't been entered into the Carfax system doesn't mean a thing You can look at it and tell that it was in some kind of wreck" [redacted] just argued with me about the vehicle, stating that it had not been in a wreck But I informed her that the vehicle was taken to the body shop by *** It was then, I told her I did not want that vehicle because it has been in a wreck of some sort Plus, I had a sneaky suspicion the vehicle had been previously involved with the highwater damage many vehicles have sustained in the [redacted] area in the past months Just my own suspicions because of the entire sunroof being replaced in addition to the door seals My response to the contract being voided or not.........Great its been voided Thank you So if there is no contract, then why did Honda keep my check and deposit it on the evening of the [redacted] ? Actually, the Finance Manager told me, the Honda folks did me a favor holding the check per my request until the [redacted] , and then he told me it was actually deposited on the [redacted] And then through out our arguing, he told me again that the check was deposited on the [redacted] I asked him, why he put that check through knowing the contract was not complete because I had not purchased or provided Honda of Katy with proof of full coverage insurance and that I had never taken possession of the vehicle and that they still had ALL the paperwork and the keys to the vehicle I explained to the Finance Manager and [redacted] , that I called [redacted] at [redacted] on the morning of the [redacted] and told him at that time I was NOT getting the vehicle and to let the finance office know and that I would be there [redacted] late afternoon to pick up my checkHe called me on [redacted] morning asking if I was going to come down there to get my check today, I said; "Yes", I will do my best to get there today" [redacted] knew [redacted] morning that the check had already been deposited [redacted] did not do as I asked on the morning of the [redacted] And, I'm not real sure why It is my inner instinct that tells me that [redacted] possibly went to them and and told them about our conversation and [redacted] decided to teach me a little lesson I could be wrong, but my instincts tell me otherwise Well, lesson learned for sure I get it it but [redacted] has not been totally honest with her actions Granted, [redacted] feels as though nothing was done wrong on their part We'll just have to agree to disagree As far as not being able to add another addendum to the complaint That is complete nonsense Because alot of what was typed in to the personal email was exactly what was said in the other response through the Revdex.comThere was nothing extra or added with your email to me Except my email had more nonsense but basically the same message So your claim of needing to "Add" to the conversation to let me know that the check did not bounce is a lame attempt to try and intimidate me further Now that you are fully aware that my actual $ [redacted] check did not bounce, explain to me why Honda of Katy or You are wanting me to provide you with some kind of proof as your last response requested PLEASE JUST MAIL ME MY $ [redacted] BACK TODAY, as you know you have my personal information and can mail it to the appropriate address It pleases me to know that I will not be contacted ever in the future by Honda of Katy [redacted]

Please see the attached internet quote MsW [redacted] is referring toIt was exclusive, as all our quotes are, of any dealer installed accessoriesPlease refer to the worksheet which has the quoted internet price and the line by line dealer installed accessories the customer elected to purchase, fully disclosed, and initialledThis agreement was made upfront, before the customer went to financeThis is also exactly what the customer paid, as agreed, in the finance officeShe also purchased additional warranties in the finance office, as wellInternet selling price quotes are for the vehicle only, not any additional warranties or options purchased by the customerIf you need the worksheet where the customer chose and signed off on the additional warranties, please adviseI will send it, as well, but did not, as the customer is saying the internet quote was not honoredThank you

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint As shown on the Sales Contract: If I were to cancel the extended warranty ($1600) the out the door price still isn't going to be $25,The "Out the Door" Price agreed upon included everything (T.T.&L., all DMV/Tag/License Fees, sales tax, inspection fees, etc.)After taking out the extended warranty price ($1,600) from the price financed ($29,413), the total price should be $25,+ $(Debt Cancellation Agreement Fee AKA GAP Insurance-- which I am canceling)However, the total price comes out to be $27,before the finance charges (which the finance charges should lower as the price financed would be lowered as a result of canceling the extended warranty), instead of $25,+ $

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] Regards, I will settle for the towing reimbursement as well as the lifetime oil change refundI am not comfortable having my car service done at your dealershipI will forgo the day off work and the danger I was put in on the toll roadI have been extremely disappointed at the way this has been handled on top of the incident happening

I have spoken with the service director and he said the diagnostics were labor intensive, resulting in the charges being higherhe did mention that the recomendations we made were confirmed when [redacted] ***- [redacted] sought a second opinionWe would like to look at speed sensor to see if in fact the new part is failing...it will be covered under our service warranty if that's in fact the caseAll that being said, we certainly can see this customers point of view and are happy to issue a creditPlease have her contact [redacted] to discuss thatWe do want her to be happyThanks and we look forward to hearing from her

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complain Their response is the same story I have already heard several times from different "managers" The price I had agreed on with the internet person was $plus $destination, less the $owner loyaltyAs I have previously explained to all concerned several times, I would not buy the vehicle if I had to pay for extras i.e....window tint, paint sealant, diamond windshield etc The salesman knows this, Rene, the internet person Brittney know this Again, the owner loyalty was scooped, when the sales manager switched to a drive out price, instead of a sales price And, again, I was not given an opportunity to see the final buyers order from the sales departmentbefore being rushed into the finance department These guys are what gives car dealers a bad name You would have thought they would have treated a repeat customer with an honest approach Sad, sad day for [redacted] in generalI never did get a call back about the running boards, this is first I heard that they would not honor my offered settlementIf they want to do the right thing, I still want my $owner loyalty, and $for the cross bars that were not listed on the buyer order, and that were not on the vehicle when we first saw the vehicle, but mystically appeared at deliveryAnd I will give them back to the dealerI have yet to get the owner survey, they probably changed my address so I would not receive it I am not a happy customer, and will not rest until this is resolved, on to and including small claims court Regards, [redacted]
