[redacted] New York Revdex.com RE: [redacted] ID# [redacted] I am in receipt of the complaint filed by [redacted] I will try and address each of her points as I find her account of the events to be inaccurateWe agree that she did purchase a Toyota Highlander from Honda City on or about March *, 2016.The tires on the car where as described by [redacted] on the telephone to me as “in almost brand new condition” They had tread and wear consistent with very fresh tiresWe road tested this car as we do every car we sell and did not notice any noise when driving [redacted] claims the car makes a noise when driving at high speedsWe do not test drive cars at speeds that are illegalHowever it is possible that the tires do make a noise at a higher rate of speed and can be characteristic of those particular tires different than the OEM tire that was original equipment New tires of the same brand would very possibly have the same ride qualityA different tire or a higher speed rated tire may change the ride qualityHowever the tires on the car do not produce a noise when driven within the legal speed limits and are safe and pass New York State inspectionNo tires are needed on this vehicle. The brakes and rotors of this vehicle were within the limits of New York StateThe diagnosis of the brakes and rotors were done by what we believe was an overzealous outside garage trying to make a saleThe rear strut on this car is not broken or in any kind of disrepairWhen [redacted] contacted us about a leaky strut she also sent us a picture of the strutWe were sent a picture of a strut covered in a extreme amount of oilMore oil than a strut would even containWe told [redacted] we would like to inspect the strut in our shop with our techniciansThe car was brought to us and we found the strut to be in good condition not in need of repairWe even showed [redacted] our findings on the vehicleWe again we believe [redacted] is the victim of an overzealous garage that is taking advantage of her situationWhen [redacted] purchased this car we explained any work this car may needWe went over the brakes and rotors and how they did pass New York State inspection but they would need changed in the futureWe explained that we could do this or she could save 1,on the car and have the work done on the outsideShe picked the lesser amount claiming she could have the work done for lessAll operating systems on this vehicle passed New York State inspectionI did offer to [redacted] to pay the labor on the tires if she really wanted a different tireThis is a repair that was not necessary but in a gesture of goodwill I would try and help with the labor portion of the costShe could buy tires from us or on the outside if she preferred and I would do the installationShe declined the offer While I do not feel Honda City has mislead [redacted] , nor do I feel the car has any safety issues or mechanical defectsI will in an offer of good will still offer to provide the labor for new tires that would be provided by the customer If I can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me Dennis B [redacted] Honda City

At Honda City, we strive to provide an excellent customer experience to every customer every dayIf [redacted] did not have a good experience for that we are truly sorryUnfortunately, the call center that takes the phone calls and makes the appointments for service was not aware of the time needed for an alarm installation; we are told it may have been a new employee on their endBut again, we are sorry that [redacted] had to experience thisBecause [redacted] ***'s experience did not live up to the high standard that we try to provide to our customers, we would like to offer him a certificate for free oil changes which can be done at our location and used by [redacted] at any time Again, we are sorry for any inconvenience his experience may have caused Sincerely, Dennis DB [redacted] General Manager Honda City

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: There were many statements made by Honda City First, we both agree that I came into Honda City with an advertisement from Huntington Honda (please see the advertisement attached) I went into Honda City and asked Nico if he could do the advertisement deal here in Levittown or I will go to Huntington Honda Nico went into the back and came out with his hand extended, so as to shake hands and said we can do the deal Mind you this was a three car deal The deal states that the lease would be $a month for months, $down payment, plus bank fees and offered 10,miles a year equaling 30,miles at the end of the lease It was at that time that he asked for $1,from each of us We believed this to be the bank fees, DMV fees - transferring plates/registration, and one months payment on the new vehicle as stated in the advertisement Next, they told us they were getting us out of our current leases by absorbing the payments They even called to check that there was only two payments left at $ Clearly, if you do the math this is not adding up already Then we asked if there were any educators discounts or college discounts as Chevy gives those discounts to customers Nico said, yes they give a college discount My daughter said she is college and next semester she will be graduating He asked if she could provide a transcript and she said yes At the time of finalizing paperwork, they asked for $1,more from each of us except for one car which was almost $ So now that would mean $2,per person; $6,total Then they told my daughter that she was not getting the discount We asked why and why are we paying additional money? It was at that time that I turned to look out the window as our Chevy Cruises were being removed from the lot and the license plates were on the desk outside the Bank Manager's office We didn't even sign and our cars were taken We never said we wouldn't return the cars that was a blatant LIE made by Honda City We were there at 2:and how convenient for them they kept us there and now it's near 5:and they were getting ready to close and we had no cars They took the rest of the money they were asking from us and it was a nightmare Nico did not treat us fairly and I can honestly say that the bank manager and the salesperson apologized for his behavior and for the craziness and lying that was going on In fact, the saleperson said he would call us and make it right, which he never did Are you surprised??? My family feels betrayed and horrified by the way we were treated in addition they are NOT meeting the advertisement deal We were talking about this in public and someone stepped forward and said they had the same problem with Nico two months ago and that he filed a Revdex.com complaint So why this person is winning awards is a shock to both me and this new person I just met We were insulted by what they were offering as a peace offering This is a advertisement claim, this is a complaint about the way we were treated by Honda City and we are seeking the advertisement deal to be met We are seeking $for my daughter, the college student and we are seeking $1,per car since it was a $down payment In addition, two cars are being charged $a month, and one is for 10,miles a year and the other is for 12,miles We are also seeking that the two cars with 10,miles a year pay the advertisement deal of $a month Sincerely, [redacted]

I WOULD LIKE TO FILE A COMPLAINT against Honda Corporation Chicago, ILHonda navigation www[redacted] .com sold me a product that was not updated but I reported it last year and nothing was ever done when driving from savannah GA to Augusta GA certain areas was not on the map I called today and spoke to Cherokee at nav center but she said there is nothing she could do

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2014/10/30) */ Contact Name and Title: [redacted] ,Serv.Mngr Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: [redacted] @blautogroup.com There appears to be a misunderstanding about complimentary vehicle inspection, and diagnostic servicesWhile we do offer complimentary inspections on vehicles for routine maintenance items (brakes, fluids, tires, filters, etc...), we do not, nor have we ever, offered free diagnostic workWhile in some cases we may, ultimately, absorb the diagnostic fee if the customer chooses to do the work with our service department, we, like every other dealership and independent garage, must charge for our time spent diagnosing non-routine issuesThat fact is hardly unique to Honda City In the case of Ms [redacted] , the diagnostic fee of $was for a "check engine light flashing intermittently"This charge is clearly stated on the Workorder, and is clearly singed by Ms [redacted] We ultimately discovered that the vehicle had misfires on all cylinders, and had a bad #coil, among other issuesThis work was declined, and only an oil change was performed Ms [redacted] was also provided with, at no charge, a loaner vehicle while her vehicle was in our service department As a gesture of good will, we would be willing to split the diagnostic fee with Ms [redacted] , as there was clearly a misunderstanding regarding this

I bought a Honda Odyssey from Honda cityWhen I bought my minivan I bought a service package which included oil changes My first time going in for an oil change I was in the dealer for 1/hrs waiting for my car On my fourth time going in for an oil change I was told that I had to pay an extra dollars out of pocket for my oil change since they were going to change from regular oil to semi synthetic oilI spoke to the general manager Mr [redacted] and told him that I didn't agree with the change and he gave me a different storyHe told me that they made a mistake on my contract and I had been getting synthetic oil all along and that I should count my blessings for not getting charge extra before

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: Let's talk facts Please note that this manager/car dealership is talking in circles The manager wasn't even there First, we did enter the car dealership I believe that's a givenFACT: We had an advertisement that we brought in and asked if they could match the deal listed in the advertisement They said, YES FACT: We then asked, do you give discounts for teachers or college students, as Chevy does and they said, YES Just YES of course, a salesman not stating what the actual requirements were, just that my daughter would get $off if she was graduating in the next months As anyone knows, colleges run by SEMESTERS not months So my daughter said yes, next semester I will be graduating and there was Nico smiling and shaking his head stating that YES she qualified If he denies this then there are some serious issues over there in that company I have witnesses FACT: In addition, the deal we were making was that we were leasing cars NO MONEY DOWN Yes, we understood bank fees and DMV fees We asked if they were going to absorb our two lease payments left and they said YES Never stating that they were going to put that into our new lease plan Very poor communication skills Even so, if you do the math they took $1,down from each of us The situation was a bad situation as I had mentioned prior and they took our cars We didn't even sign the lease yet We were still in the bank manager's office They wanted a sale, those salesmen would say anything they could to rope us in and they did damage to us My daughter deserves that $ We all deserve the money down back that they took wrongly from us As you can see by the ad it clearly states NO MONEY DOWN (please refer to my attachment on my last letter) They are talking in circles and they are avoiding the clear truth that they did not do the deal we had asked them to do FACT: And I have to laugh, I asked if it was possible if I could get 12,miles because I was paying a higher amount, why I was paying a higher amount I don't know, but the amount I was paying a month qualified me for a HONDA ACCORD LX as stated in the advertisement that I attached in my last letter So, no the salesmen didn't do us any favors as they may think they had In addition, since they mentioned Stephen's name in their last letter, I will give your further information Stephen is a young year old boy He was hired by Nico He was new and should of had a mentor He did paperwork wrong, he had the same VIN number for two vehicles, the bank manager was so upset because this dealership was closing soon and the paperwork needed to be fixed Stephen knows the truth and Stephen said as we were walking out that he was going to call us and do something to make this right We are still waiting for the call that never came Again, the bank manager apologized for all the craziness that was taking place Maybe the dealership would like to answer the question, Why did your employees recognize that there was wrong doings being done to us? I would like to finally state that I have five Honda's at my house I will tell you that we will never do business with this dealership, especially the way this dealership acts and does business ever again They need to make their ADVERTISING deal right I will continue to argue this until this is settled Again, I should have went on YELP and other sites that would have warned me about this place Consumers need to do research before entering a business That I learned So, yes I repeat this was advertisement and this was two salesmen trying to get three cars off their lot Very sad.In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

After review of [redacted] ’s complaint and a review of the repair orders and speaking to the employees involved, is it our opinion that [redacted] is due a refundWhile the items that we found were in need of repair, additional time should have been taken or questions asked to discover the antifreeze issueHonda City’s customers deserve to have a full explanation of the diagnosis of a customers vehicle, therefore we are giving [redacted] a refund of 50% of the amount paidThis refund of $will be refunded to the credit card used for paymentPlease have [redacted] contact Vincent T***, the service manager, he is here Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri and SatHe will need to have to credit card used and we will process the refundSincerely,Dennis B [redacted] General Manager

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved bec] Whomever wrote this is flat out lying I was told that the mistakes made in diagnosing my car was my fault Why would I want to take my car back and forth to your service center times in the span of days The coward manager would not speak to meThe service rep was a gentlemanIt is the manager that is the issue Why would I pay 50% of roughly $for no issue being fixed on the vehicle?I had the car toed on a Friday morning Why would I pick the car up on a Saturday afternoon at 2pm, drive it up the street to the next light only to have to turn around because nothing was fixed? I waited until that Monday, paid for an unnecessary oil change, only to drive the care home, then to the gym and have it not start AGAIN, at the gym that same Monday evening? Are you in denial that it was seen by a "professional," on Friday, Saturday, and again on Monday? Blaming your service rep is a cop outI asked to speak to a manager that same Tuesday I bought the car back, I was told no Please justify your payment? explain it for everyone on here to readPlease explain how your professionals where so good that I had take multiple trips with car to and from your service centerYou are saying that I should have diagnosed the car myself and then had your mechanics fix what I diagnosed? You sir should be flat out ashamed of yourself I will only accept a 100% refund at this pointHad you been reasonable with me that Tuesday afternoon, we would not be discussing thisI have much better things to do with my time Which, is why I bought my car to your service place in the first place In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/03/31) */ Contact Name and Title: [redacted] Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: [redacted] @blautogroup.com We are sorry you felt you had a negative experienceWe double checked the numbers on this deal, and they were calculated correctlyThe $to which Mr [redacted] refers is the combination of the Doc Fee ($168.43), the Electronic Registration & Title Fee ($25), and the Title & License Fee ($196)The Doc Fee and ERT fee are taxed I would be glad to go over this breakdown with Mr [redacted] if that would be helpful Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2015/04/04) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) There's still no mention of the unauthorized "hard" credit check that the salesman assured me would not be done (I paid cash)I just feel their practices are shady and their sales manager's hard sell approach unnecessary Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 9, 2015/04/16) */ We are sorry if there was any misunderstanding regarding the credit check, but we have a signed credit application, in addition to a signed Credit Score Disclosure Notice

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2014/11/20) */ Contact Name and Title: [redacted] Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: [redacted] @blautogroup.com We apologize for any delay and getting this handled for Ms [redacted] A check was cut for $on 11/12/14, and sent to Honda FinancialThis will reduce the principal balance on the loanJust to be clear, the payment is not recalculated, but for all intents and purposes, the loan term will be shortened due to the principal reduction This can take 10-days to work it's way through the system, so it should reflect the reduction shortly

Honda City is offering [redacted] a 50% refundThis is a fair offer and this is the offer we willing to do for himPlease contact Vincent T [redacted] at the service department, so he can apply the refundSincerely, Dennis B [redacted] General Manager

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
The statements made from Honda City about the missing trim (it is faded from the sun) and my comments when asked about it are inaccurate There were absolutely no changes in the condition of the car during the days from the original appraisal Why didn’t Honda City take pictures of the car during the initial appraisal as other dealerships do? If this was done, there would have been no questions about the condition of the car changing. After thinking about my visit to Honda City, I believe they never had any intentions of giving me $8,for the car. According to several websites that give you your car’s value, this is the price I would expect to get for the car from a private party. My only regret through this process was not checking review websites like *** When you search for negative reviews, you see the first out of negative reviews are about James T***. There is not even one positive review about him. It will now be the first out of reviews once I post my own.At this point I think going back and forth will not be productive if they continue with their inaccurate statements. My complaint should be posted on your website so educated consumers can decide for themselves if they want to do business with this dealership
In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.Sincerely,*** *** %

sans-serif;">In regards to case number ***We visited Honda City on 2/19/and cleared up the situation We still do not remember signing any paper in regards to the Pro PackageHowever, Honda City was finally willing to give us a print off of a digital copy of the paper we do not remember signing without having to pay the $they wanted to charge us for this copyAll this could have been avoided by them giving us a copy of the signed document when we first requested itI didn't think we should be charged for a copy that we never received in the first place and asking for a signed copy is not unreasonable since it should have been included in the first placeWe are sorry that we filed this complaint that now appears falseHowever, we still don't remember signing the papers so a complaint was not our intentionDuring the visit on 2/19/we also requested that our extended warranty be cancelledThey agreed to this because we were within the day cancellation grace periodHowever, they then refused to give us any proof of this cancellation request other than a copy of the paper I signedAnybody can sign a paper and then not deliver it to the dealershipThis does not prove anythingAll we wanted them to do is date the document and sign that they received our request on that dateI don't see how this is unreasonableDuring our visit we were yelled at by both Brian Fuller and RyanWe were falsely accused of going through papers on Brian's deskWe were told that we were in areas that we shouldn't be in even though we were led there by a sales person and never asked to leave until they got angry at us because we were asking for proof of the cancellationRyan escalated the situation to the point of threatening to call the police to have us taken out handcuffedWe were called liars, we were told we were the kind of people that would never apologize (which is not true) and were constantly being yelled atThis is no way for a A+ rated business to handle businessAn apology from them doesn't mean anythingBrian apologized and said he had a bad day and then minutes later he's yelling againWe never raised our voices and were nothing but politeI just thought you should know how they actually treat their customers
I am sorry that the complaint was filed and I consider it closedI do not need an apology from them because it doesn't mean anythingI just want to put the experience behind me as it was terribly upsetting and I have never been treated like that beforeSincerely,
