Excellent customer service! Very friendly, helpful, courteous employees who worked hard and did an excellent job. I couldn't have been more satisfied with Honest and True Moving Crew and would happily refer them to family and friends. Thank you again for the outstanding job. We couldn't be more pleased that we chose your company.

Exceptional service! Highly skilled, well trained employees. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you for the stress free move.

Furniture and personal belongings paid to be moved and stored by business were lost and to date not recovered by company and returned to us.
This company was used for moving and storage of our mom's furniture and personal belongings upon having to transfer her from independent living to skilled nursing at Calusa Harbor in downtown Fort Myers. Honest and True Moving was seen by us there constantly any time we visited mom and apparently they were the movers that had a relationship with Calusa Harbor so we arranged to use them for our mom. The items were picked up and moved by them and we were there to see that happen. Upon calling to get mom's items we were told by Joseph P. that he could not locate any of her items. After much discussion and his saying that our mom's order was small so it could be anywhere in his huge warehouse and that it would be futile for us to come look ourselves for the items we were pretty shocked and annoyed. Not only shocked by his professional practices and communication but the lack of respect, empathy or care of what his company had done. He actually hung up on me the first and only time I talked to him on the phone. I soon realized as a woman I would get no respect or time from him and deferred future communication to my brother in law. Months later we have no resolution and no follow up from Joseph P. at all. What ever way we can force this company to be exposed to the public for their despicable business practices within the law is my goal. Every time I have to address this situation it leaves me with a sick feeling in my stomach. This person should not be allowed to do business in Florida he is dangerous.

Desired Outcome

Locate and deliver our mom's furniture and personal belongings that his company picked up and in good faith and contractually was suppose to store safely until we picked items up.

Contact Name and Title: Joseph P.
Contact Phone: ***
Contact Email: ***@gmail.com
I have been in contact with *** about this as recent as last week. I picked up the phone and reached out to him keeping him updated. I've agreed to your monitary request and will pay it under two reasonable conditions. I did hang up on you in the past but you need to understand that no one is going to speak to me like I'm trash especially when I'm completely stepping up to the plate and owning responsibility. I would love some meditation from the Revdex.com on this matter. Thank you

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I believe what Mr. P. meant was mediation on this matter and not meditation from the Revdex.com. Money is not going to replace what was lost by his company. Mr. P. has been quick to point out that our mom's belongings were not worth much as far as the legal per pound monetary rate he would be obligated to pay and to date Mr. P. has represented his company in an entirely unprofessional manner. He has pushed us off, told us that to come to his warehouse to look for the items would be a waste of time and that because the order was so small it would be unlikely he'll ever locate. Wow that's what I want to hear from the owner of a moving company.

The company moved me from FL to NJ. Delivery was 11/10/18 but missing several items. I filed a claim for missing items but they do not respond.
On 10/24/18 the company loaded furniture and other items from my home in Estero FL. Delivery was on 11/10/19. Upon delivery I noted that several furniture and household items were missing, 2 metal table bases, 1 floor lamp, 3 table lamps, 3 oil paintings, and queen bed rails. I spoke with the owner that day and he assured me he would get my items and deliver them. I patiently waited 2 months. During that time the table bases, floor lamp and bed rails were delivered. I gave the company until 1/4/19 before submitting a claim for the missing items which were 3 lamps and 3 oil paintings. The claim included pictures of the items as well as receipts for the lamps. I did not have receipts for the paintings but they were not an absolute requirement of the claim. I have contacted the company via text (2/1/19, 2/8/19, 2/14/19) email (1/28/19 and 2/11/19) and certified letter dated 3/6/19 to ascertain the status of my claim. It is obvious they have no intention of responding or honoring my claim.

Desired Outcome

I am asking that they honor the claim for my missing items. I am seeking reimbursement for 3 lamps and 3 oil paintings.

According to your email, the company responded on March 25th that a response to my claim was on its way via US mail. As of today, April 3rd, I have not received anything from the company.

As of 4/17/19 I have yet to hear from the company. I have not received the response or settlement offer to my claim as the company previously stated was in the mail.

Breach of contract by failing to deliver possessions as contracted for.
After I contracted for the company to move my possessions and in a later conversation with the owner, Joe, I was advised that if there was a need to shuttle my property from the semi to my house that there would be an additional cost. There was no mention of additional costs in the contract and no mention of shuttling.

The delivery of my property was a disaster and I did not receive that which I contracted for. Only two people arrived to off load the semi, not counting the driver. One of those men had alcohol on his breath at 9 a.m. when they arrived. I learned during the course of the day that there had been a request for four off loaders, three were supposed to show up and only two actually did.

The semi was unable to get up the driveway to my house. I suspect that was because the tractor was a rental rather than the one that was used to pick up the furniture. The driver explained that the differential was not sufficient for an inclined drive. From 9 in the morning until 6 at night we used my personal truck to shuttle the entire semi to the house. I say "we" because I lifted, carried, and moved as many boxes as the off loaders. I did not contract with the company for me to do the work. I did not contract with the company to use my truck. There was no suggestion of shuttling by the business.

One of the off-loaders was incompetent at best. After they broke for lunch and upon their return the man who arrived with alcohol on his breath did nothing but complain that the driver did not have enough cash on hand to pay him for his work. From that point on he was dropping boxes, stacking boxes on their side, putting furniture that was supposed to go into the house in the garage, and not performing his responsibilities. At one point I had to remind him that I was almost 63 years of age and was doing more work than he was.

It took me almost a week to find everything that was scattered between my garage, my porch and the house. I found furniture on the porch and clothes in the garage. I found that the off-loaders had placed a box of concrete figurines on top of a box holding my dress boots resulting in the metal support bar in the boot box to bend causing the contents to fall into the box and the concrete figurines to be laying on top of my boots. In one move of absolute incompetence they damaged $3000 worth of boots.

The driver did communicate with Joe during the day and he was aware that we were shuttling my furniture. In a conversation with Joe, he indicated that shuttle would have cost me $2000 if it had been done without my help. I did not contract nor did I pay $10,610.40 for me to spend nine hours moving my own furniture. Had I wanted to work that hard for that long I would have not hired the company and would have moved on my own. The point in hiring the company was so that I did not have to do anything other than hand over a very large amount of money.

I did not receive the service I paid for. In that I provided the shuttle and the labor and the value of that service in Joe's own words is $2000 I am asking for a refund of $2000.

Desired Outcome

I want $2000 which is the value stated by the company of their failure to perform the contract.

Best company to contract for your moving !!!!!

Very please with Anthony and Stendman hard workers and very conscious when packing your furniture etc. !

Honest True Moving & Storage Service Response • May 22, 2018

We are excited to know Anthony and Steadmen completed yet again another successful move. We are thankful for your kind words and appreciate you taking out the time to share your move experience with Honest and True Moving Crew. Please be sure to contact us at any time should you need any moving services.

Dishonest and negligent moving crew is more accurate. I've moved around 17 times in the last 20 years. Sometimes I'd do it myself, sometimes I'd use mayflower or a random mover, sometimes I'd pay someone from craigslist. Here on this 18th move I can say without question these people do not care about your stuff or your experience. I have never in my life seen a company act this negligently, let alone a company I trusted all my worldly possessions do. In other words, I wouldn't trust these guys to sweep my floors, you should not trust them with everything you own. Just as 1 out 1000 examples of why these guys suck, they mixed my crushed and destroyed boxes in with someone else's crushed and destroyed boxes. Please trust me, stay as far away from these people as possible.

I assume your first name is *** moved from UT to GA. Sorry for your negative experience we no longer purchase Moving leads online which is what you became. Boxes crush for one reason ( they were not packed right). The truck/trailer is more than 9 feet tall and we have to pack it like a sardine can bottom to top every cubic foot must be taken up this is the business so boxes have to be packed professionally or else they will crush . There is a reason why no moving company on the planet can ensure PBO (Packed by owner) boxes.

Customer Response • Mar 01, 2018

"Boxes crush for one reason (they were not packed right).": this is a blatant false lie for the following reasons:
-Boxes were inspected upon pickup, there were a few items identified by the mover as being improperly or not yet packed and the mover packed or repacked these boxes... yet even these boxes packed by Honest and True, or their subcontractor, were destroyed in a negligent manner.
-Not only did this company pack their truck like a "sardine can" as they say, they packed it unprofessionally. A professional packer knows not to put a wardrobe box used for hanging clothing under 200 pounds of other boxes. A professional packer understands the basic physics behind weight distribution; I witnessed how these trucks were packed and unpacked and even the men responsible for unloading the trucks apologized for how poorly my belongings were treated; they told me "I'm sorry, some people just don't care, I've never seen anything like this before"; I don't now know who was a contractor or who was a direct employee, but those performing the move could testify to the negligence involved.
-some of the boxes had clear signs of water damage which was not present at pickup.
-the company lied and guaranteed no third party movers would be used, but they were used, so the company cannot even speak to how poorly their subcontractors treated my stuff... I'm not confident a single direct employee of this company touched my stuff, and I know the person writing this response didn't, so he is talking out of both ends.
-one truck picked up my stuff; without notification nor my oversite, the company then split my stuff onto two separate trucks; one of the trucks broke down on the way and my stuff was, as far as I can tell, sitting in a truck in the hot sun and rain for about 2 weeks while they tried to figure out what to do... then of course they ended up loading yet another truck with my stuff. So, another true and valid reason my stuff was improperly destroyed is that 5 separate loading/unloading events occurred, when a professional company knows to limit this to 2 to reduce damage.
-While they unloaded this last truck half filed with my belongs and half filed with someone else's, it was literally a mountain of crushed boxes, 85% of the boxes had impact damage that would have absolutely nothing to do with how well it was pack. i.e. a hole in cardboard is a hole in cardboard.
-roll able items like a tool chest where packed by the company themselves, yet there was so much structural damage from clear improper handling that my $800 tool chest is now structurally unsound and cannot be used.
This response is yet another clear indicator that this company simply does not care, they cost me more than they even made on this. Blatant negligence and lies, that is clearly what this company stands for, so even their name is false advertising.

The company is lying and cheating it's customers

Company: Honest and True Moving Crew, LLC (The Company)
Summary:
I am not a lawyer, however, it is still my opinion that The Company is acting fraudulently across state lines, is utilizing bait and switch tactics and dishonest business practices and is operating with extreme negligence while moving people's personal belongings. I have reached the point in the claims process where a claim has been filed for $3,456.99 and a response settlement request was received for $330.00; even though The Company guarantee me they would give me an additional $700 refund since the move went so horribly wrong. Thus, I find their official response inadequate to correct their fraudulent activity and feel a responsibility to inform the government so that appropriate measures can be taken to protect other consumers and perhaps recoup some of my damages without having to talk directly with these people any further.
Incident Description:
On X-X-XXXX I received an email from ***@gmail.com with The Compay's logo that included the following text:
"Thank you for contacting Honest and True Moving Crew. We are a family owned and operated moving company that has been servicing the United States household goods moving business for over 6 years. Our expert estimators have a combined 30 years of experience in facilitating interstate and local moves. We own our dedicated trailers and NEVER EVER sub out your move to another moving company. Just because your relocating doesn't mean you have to be STRESSED. Just click onto the link to the inventory list below or give us a call at XXX-XXX-XXXX and speak to one of our trained professionals and you will be one step closer to your painless, stress free relocation anywhere within the continental United States."
Thus, according to the company "We own our dedicated trailers and NEVER EVER sub out your move to another moving company" (hereon referred to as Guarantee #1). However, based on verbal discussions with the person who picked up my belongings, the supposed owner of The Company, and the movers who dropped off my belongings, they did in fact use subcontractors for this work.
The Company provided an additional guarantee that The Company would deliver my stuff on X-XX-XXXX according to the paperwork signed at pickup (hereon referred to as Guarantee #2). However, my belongings were not delivered until 5-19-2017; I was not given adequate updates and was not told were my belongs were nor how they were being stored during this delay.

Desired Outcome

The Company guaranteed me a $700 refund do to the actions of, what they claimed, was their subcontractors; the company made this guarantee verbally to me (hereon referred to as Guarantee #3) but I do not believe they responded to my written confirmation request. The fact that their settlement request did not include this refund is testament enough that they are not negotiating in good faith. The Company guaranteed me verbally during early negotiations that adequate insurance coverage would be offered for full value coverage (hereon referred to as Guarantee #4). However, once I flew to Utah from Atlanta to meet the movers at my storage facility, they declined to offer full coverage insurance saying that it wasn't available and crossing out that section on the form; they still forced me to explicitly decline this coverage that supposedly was guaranteed, but not offered, and they waited until I flew almost 2000 miles to do it. I feel grossly taken advantage of. It was never guaranteed, however neither was it stated that my belongings would be moved from the truck I loaded them on onto two separate trucks for two separate shipments, one of which may have broken down along the way (hereon referred to as Complaint #1) and both of which may have been via subcontractor. This was likely what led the massive amount of negligence induced damage to my belongings, especially considering they were using contractors for some of this work. Months after filing this initial claim with *** The Company contacted me and sounded panicked about my filing. They said they wanted to make this right and begged my to contact *** to cancel my complaint; they told me that the wanted to make it right, but could not make me an offer by the deadline imposed by *** they told me that if I called *** and tried to put the claim on hold as a show of good faith, they would make me a more reasonable offer within the week once the claims department had talked to the Owner about it. I called *** and requested that my complaint be put on hold; ~3 weeks passed and no call was received from The Company. Another ~5 weeks passed, I called them twice for a status update and no adequate information was given. Hence, no revised offer was provided and they appear to have intentionally tricked me; yet another indication this Company is most certainly not "Honest and True". At this time, for being treated so poorly by this horrible company, the only thing that they can do to make this right is to provide me with the original amount I submitted on my claim. If this company were really "Honest and True" they sould not only provide compensation for all the damage they caused, but would provide a full refund for their negligent business practices as well... I should have gone with ***, I would have if they hadn't lied to me.

We are sorry for your negetive experience but have followed the rules of the contract

Customer Response • Mar 01, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Neither your response nor your contract addresses cases of negligence, false advertising or bait and switch. That does not mean that these activities ethical or legal. You failed to address my claim at all. Rape isn't addressed in the contract either, that doesn't mean you're allowed to do it to me.

You further claimed in response to my review: "Boxes crush for one reason (they were not packed right)."

This is a blatant false lie for the following reasons:

I'm not confident a single direct employee of this company touched my stuff, and I know the person writing this response didn't, so he is talking out of both ends.
-one truck picked up my stuff; without notification nor my oversite, the company then split my stuff onto two separate trucks; one of the trucks broke down on the way and my stuff was, as far as I can tell, sitting in a truck in the hot sun and rain for about 2 weeks while they tried to figure out what to do... then of course they ended up loading yet another truck with my stuff. Honest and True Moving Crew handled claim based on terms and conditions. We apologize if this is not to your satisfaction, however we did handle the best and only way we can, again based on the contract.

Moved from NY to Tampa. Driver told me they had smoked out in truck and were high. Delivery arrives; my $1,000 side table's marble top was shattered.
I moved with Honest and True Moving Crew in April of 2017. The move cost about a thousand dollars. I paid with an American Express. It was from New York to Tampa. I was moving a studio apartment. The table they broke, packed by two men who admitted to me after it was all in the truck that they were high, was a Saarinen Side Table from Design Within Reach that cost me $1,010. The replacement topafter telling DWR my storythe store is allowing me to order at employee discount of $600. It's the "Polished Coated Marble - Arabescato." Honest and True refused to pay for the replacement. They didn't find me a replacement on their own after sending it to a repair shop either, which is why I ended up contacting the store in the first place. They have refused to pay for anything. So now my table is sitting at at "Furniture Tech" in Cape Coral, Florida. I've told Furniture Tech after Honest and True refused to find a matching replacement and refused to pay for the correct replacement that they should just hold it and I'll pay for it on my own. But then I thought of Revdex.com, which is why I am now reaching out. I have not ordered a replacement. The table is supposedly just sitting there. The person I was in contact with at Honest and True was "Sherri" and the person at Furniture Tech was "***."

Desired Outcome

I spoke to Design Within Reach, the store I originally bought the side table from, and they offered to sell me the actual replacement top at employee discount for $600. I want my piece to be returned to its original state.

Honest and True Moving Crew is a drug free work place in which we provide random drug screenings for our crew members. Based on the terms and conditions of clients we have the right to repair the damaged items, we hired Furniture Technician to repair. Due to damages our Technician is unable to repair, however they were able to find a very similar piece in which client consulted with furniture tech in which we have not discussed any further. Client was not interested in the similar piece we were willing to purchase to rectify. Client never advised us of a settlement offer until we read here on Revdex.com. Client chose valuation at $0.60 per lb purchasing the similar piece was already out of terms and conditions and Honest and True Moving Crew went over and beyond the contract as a good will gesture.

Joe the owner from "honest and true" moving is an ex con extortionist. It's been a nightmare getting our things from LA to NYC still no truck.
We went through UVL based on customer reviews and somehow with out our knowledge got H&T movers contracted out to us with no notice except the day before move. We already paid UVL almost 4K and these guys show up days late to pack up our home 3 hours late than their scheduled time and with NO packing supplies. Um WHAT? The foreman left the men at our home while he went to Home Depot to buy tape, boxes, and packing supplies and arrived 3 hours later. After the truck was finally packed up, (none of the specified items were even crated as per our request), we were hit with numerous excuses as to where or when our furniture should arrive to Brooklyn. I had to stay back and wait over a month with my 4yr old and dog to hear when I could book a plane ticket out to meet the truck. We were told on various occasions to expect delivery on this or that date to have the plan fall apart due to truck issues, staff issues, and last excuse vandalism. What? The truck was vandalized, where is our stuff and has it been jacked?! We have spent crazy amounts of money on flight change fees and general living expenses. UVL claims the responsibility is H&T moving and vice versa. My child who is autistic is starting preschool tomorrow and we still are waiting on our delivery. There are very important things I need in that truck to help him transition to a pre school in a new city such as clothes, his security items, documents, bedding, toiletries, etc... I am appalled and I have pleaded with both companies repeatedly to give us an idea of what is going on with our stuff. On the 28th of August I find out our belongings are still in a storage facility in LA. That's a month later than when they picked it up?! The two times I have spoken on the phone to the owner Joe to explain our situation he has hung up on me almost immediately. Isn't it extortion when someone holds something of yours for ransom??? When I explained that I'm not going to pay the other half in a cashiers check upon delivery it got really weird. Ex con weird. I do not think this is a legitimate company and right out of the gate it has felt like a hustle. I am truly concerned about the state of our belongings when and IF they arrive. The blatant disregard of service, integrity, and basic humanity has made me feel swindled, and victimized. The fact that my family is sleeping on the floor tonight in our barren Brooklyn apt is dehumanizing and completely assanine. My little boy starts preschool tomorrow in an unfamiliar place with none of his things from home to ease the transition. I will never forget the disappointment on his face when I told him that the truck with our things did not come. Again.

Desired Outcome

I am looking for a sizeable discount from the remaining balance owed, and I want more insurance to cover loss and or damage of our belongings once arrived based on the reviews of misconduct and damages listed on this Revdex.com website. Especially because the truck was supposedly vandalized and our things have been MIA for over a month. I dont have a lot of faith our things have been carefully handled.

Honest True Moving & Storage Service Response • Jan 16, 2018

Claim has been settled through our insurance company.Due to unforeseen circumstances we arrived late which also delayed us on being prepared to provide the full complete packing. We tried our absolute best and made due with what time we had based on the circumstances. As far as specific items being crated that information was not provided to HTMC for our Foreman would have purchased the necessary materials to complete the crates during his Home Depot run. Unfortunately the truck being vandalized was a loss for us as well, we do not perform business this way it just happened to be bad timing for us and client. When Honest and True Moving was contracted to haul shipment we were advised client will need 30 days of free storage which we provided. Based on the terms and conditions with the contract client had with IVL delivery frames are based on mileage, pick up date, and size of load the shipment which can take anywhere from 3-21 business days. Based on the terms and conditions provided to us we were still in contracted dates for delivery. As for collecting money upfront ANY moving company will collect all monies prior to offloading ANY clients shipment not just Honest and True Moving we need to collect for services rendered not matter the condition of the items there is then protocol on how to file a claim with and missing items and/or damages. We do apologize for the inconvenience this move may have costed the family.

Customer Response • Feb 01, 2018

I am appalled that H&T has the nerve to try to reconcile their reputation. We were in no way compensated for the damages AND I can never have my things damaged by them in the move replaced. I am disgusted and saddened by this whole situation and I continue to feel victimized and powerless.

Honest True Moving & Storage Service Response • Feb 05, 2018

Unfortunately we are contracted with the same company you contracted with and we did not violate that contract in anyway.

Leak in their trailer damage my property. They will not repair.
I hired this company to move me from Florida to Arizona. The packed and wrapped my personal belonging. It was only suppose to take 7-10 day, is took13 day. I had to pay for hotel for three extra days. When they did arrive, several items had brown spot all over it. My leather couch was soaking wet as well as my expensive soft top sleep number mattress was wet and brown stains all over it. I asked the driver and he said there was a leak in the trailer. I called the company lee did confirm a tree punched a hole in the ceilings, they sent a company out who tried to clean both items. They said they coul not get the smell or stains out of that material. I call the company and they offered me $60.00 for a $ 1200.00 couch and $900 bed. This doesnt include the other item we threw always that had water damage. They failed to maintain their epuipment and that is my problem and they will not do anything else. They are fully respondsubtle for their failure to maintain their equiment. Lee told me it was easier to drive down a road which hit a tree that put a hole in their trailer than have to haul the others person stuff which was on the same trailer that carry it a quarter mile. They driver apologized and nice put the claim lady was very rude, I had to call and text for 3 weeks before finally she called and said it was my problem they sent someone to clean it which they couldn't, I have their statement.

Desired Outcome

To clear this up I would like reimbursement for the hotel which they said f they weren't here on time they would take care of. I have text messages that says that. Also to cover damage items 600.00 if I take them to court they will be responsible for full replacement cost, court and legal fees.

Honest True Moving & Storage Service Response

Mr. needs to file a claim in writing, by virtual of the Interstate Bill of Lading. Once we receive a written claim form and proof of stay at a hotel, we will further review his claim. However, at this point in time, we have no claim filed. Mr. did sustain minor stains to (2) items; of which we immediately had cleaned by Chem Dry. Mr. Interstate Bill of Lading shows and verifys he opted to value his household goods at the carrier's liability of $0.60 cents per pound/per article. This contract is solid and will be adhered to. We will send Mr. the claim form again for his completion and submission back to our office for further handling/review.

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Seeing how they failed to maintain their equipment and a hole was punctured in their roof which is what they told me, they are fully responsible for damage. I would have never thought my leather couch and bed would get rained on while inside their truck. A claim in Arizona will be filed. Now they cannt or wont take responsibility for their neglect, we will let our court system decide, even if there was a contract. Nothing in it said damage from there neglect or carelessness would not be covered.Far from over. People need to be made aware of this company before it happens to other people. Next call media in naples and fort myers. The company that cleaned said the stain would never come, they will be in court as well.

Honest True Moving & Storage Service Response

Very sorry for the leak in the trailer which caused the water damage. The thing about a trailer leak is you almost always find out when it's to late. Lee strongly suggested you take out valuation on your shipment which you declined and chose .60 cents per pound. The job Forman at origin also suggested valuation which you again clearly declined. We are forced by law to carry in my opinion excessive insurance. Now let me ask you a question and answer it truthfully. If you were backed into a corner by the departments rules and regulations and literally spent six figures on insurance in a year that you hardly ever use would you be paying claims out of your own pocket? Let me educate the general public who may be reading this. if a customer has a move say 5000 pounds in weight going from Florida to Texas and their shipment as a whole is worth $5000 another man has a shipment about 5000 pounds Florida to Texas same move but his shipment is worth $100,000 . What shipment would cost more to ship? The answer is the gentleman with the hundred thousand dollar shipment can ship his goods for the same cost as the man with the $5000 shipment but if the man with the hundred thousand dollar shipment wants full value replacement obviously it's going to cost him a lot more than the gentleman with a $5000 shipment . So if a company is forced to spend big money on insurance and then the customers decline valuing their shipment even after we urge them by sales rep and job Forman then you clearly made the wrong choice. As far as our fleet not being maintained that could not be moe inaccurate. We have a full-time on-site mechanic and a complete mechanics shop. Household truck drivers are forced into neighborhoods all the time that can at times punch holes. As far as a resolution to the complaint we are not willing to be the insurance company pay full value. We are willing though to pay for your hotels assuming you can provide the invoices for each night. One more thing to consider we did not just cash you out at $.60 per pound as you selected. We sent out Kem dry paid for that service and still paid the .60 cents. So we actually paid above and beyond what the contract states.

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
First off no one offered me valuation of anything and this is 100 percent false. My honest answer to your response is I never expected a moving company to have a leak in their trailer and cause damage to my property, especially they knowing it was leaking and did nothing to repair their equipment. Lee even stated to me what happen, during my haul your driver choose to drive down a road with low hanging trees and it put a hole in the trailer. The cleaning company attempted to get the stain out of the couch and mattress with negative results, again not exceptable. You feel you can haul people's belongings across the country with leak in you equipment then give them 60 dollars in damages. We will get every in court, your driver, helper, cleaning company which I have their written statement already in a court let the judge decide if you neglected to maintain your trailer and protect my personal property to your best ability. Doesn't matter if my property is 100,00 or 5,000 it my property that I purchased and expected you to take care of, which Is why I hired your company, which is clearly a mistake. To bad you can't man up except the mistake and take the responsibility your company had when in possession of my personal property. Other people need to be aware that you damage people property then take no responsibility of your neglect. Hopefully people with see this and other articles on you careless company and will choose a reputable company who take responsibility for their actions. Also call dot due violateing hours driver was driving, driver told me not put date on receipt because they drove to many hours.

Honest True Moving & Storage Service Response • Jan 16, 2018

Honest and True Moving and Crew were not late on delivering clients personal belongings. Per the Contract from the beginning the delivery spread provided to client was 8/1/17-8/3/17 we arrived on the 3rd day 8/3/17. This was not a dedicated service delivery.Honest and True Moving Crew purchased what we presumed was new equipment in which we gained a big loss along with the client. The vehicle we purchased was faulty and unfortunately we had to pay for the consequences. As for several items not going along with delivery, when transferring shipment over to trailer some of the client's items stayed behind. It was most def. and honest mistake on our behalf in which we take responsibility for.Client has received her refund back with Credit Card Company.

Anthony and Robert moved my daughter from Naples to her 3rd floor walk up apartment in Gainesville and they were amazing. I have never had a better experience with a moving company, from dealing with Dan at the beginning, and his graciously accommodating a last minute change in the date of the move, to the upbeat, helpful and polite attitude of Anthony and Robert. On a scale of 1-10 I would give my experience with Honest & True Moving as a 12. Thanks for making it so easy! We will definitely use you again, Dan!

Honest True Moving & Storage Service Response

Thank you so much for your kind words. As always we strive to provide the Best customer service in the move industry, Thanks Robert and Anthony for showing up and showing what we are capable of. We love repeat customers and accommodating last minute moves. Send your family and friends our way as we are here for you.

Keep on delaying my delivery time and very bad attitude. I do not even know where are all my personal belongs, very rude
They keep on delaying my delivery time and kept on hanging off my phone with rude attitude. I tried to ask where is my stuff currently. Somebody said in North Dakota, somebody said in Atlanta? Then where specifically it is?

They kept on promising me to send within time frame but never happen. I have been waiting for theee weeks but still didn't get anything!

People are very rude!

Desired Outcome

Deliver my moving stuff as soon as possible

Honest True Moving & Storage Service Response

Break down in communication. English is definitely Binbins second language. Here are the facts. You hired a broker, the broker hired us. We had a contract with the broker(with your signature on it) 12 days from the first available delivery date. *** we delivered your items earlier then the time frame we were given. We could have delivered three days later and still not violate the contract. I want the General Public to ask themselves this logical question if we picked her up in Georgia and we're delivering her to Illinois why on earth would we be in North Dakota? This woman even had the police call our office and after speaking to me we had a good chuckle . The shipment was in route and we were delivering it on time according to contract please take your complaints to the company that you hired and contracted with this is ridiculous . I can clearly see that working with brokers brings a lot of conflict with their customers at times but this is the moving industry never go to Google for your mover call a friend family member or coworker and get a referral that is simply the best and that is simply why we thrive . We get a ton of referrals from *** customers simple and when we have the availability in the country not at home here in Southwest Florida we work with brokers and unfortunately this kind of stuff happen sometime .

Anthony & Robert were great! Highly recommend this company and this crew.

Fantastic company have used them several times for my personal move. From third floor to second floor then back to the third-floor this company always seems to surprise me with timing and efficiency. Would highly recommend them for anyone.

Honest and true moving crew just picked up my belongings to store for an out of state move. Jonte and Andres were wonderful. They were professional
And very kind. I highly recommend this company
For your move. Thank you soooooo much

They damaged our tv and a picture in the move and are refusing to replace or repair the tv. They haven't even sent someone to look at the damage.
Move date was 7/1/2017. Damage to picture was discovered same day and moving company was notified that day. Damage to tv was not discovered until following day and company was notified next business day 7/3/2017. Claim form was submitted 7/5/2017 along with photos of damage. Follow up email was sent 7/12/2017 with no response. Second follow up email was sent 7/20/2017. Received claim denial letter 7/20/2017. Dan R. gave us estimate and never informed us of additional insurance that could be purchased. Sherri D. is the office manager who handles the claims. Tv that was damaged is a 65 inch Samsung KS800 purchase price $1,800.

Desired Outcome

We are asking that the moving company replace the tv that they damaged in the move.

Honest True Moving & Storage Service Response

Customer notified sales representative on the day of the move, July 1, 2017 that she had incurred damages to a picture whereby the glass was broken. Settlement was made to the picture, based on the terms and conditions of the contract at $0.60 cents per pound/per article. As for the TV, the customer never notified the sales representative of any damages to the TV. Customer states by own ommission that it was unwrapped in front of the crew and no damages were noticed at the time of delivery. No damages were noted on the paperwork as well. Only by a phone call from the customer did she make an inquiry on the picture, she never mentioned the tv, until such time her partner was screaming in the back ground and using profanity language. Protocol was to send a claim form to the customer, which was done and customer returned. The tv was denied based on no documentation at the time of delivery and no notice until July 3, 2017. We stand by our denial of the TV. The customer did not purchase any additional valuation - only signed the contract for the $0.60 cents per pound/per article. Unfortunately, there is no proof that the damage to the Tv was incurred by us.

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We notified the claims department on 7/3/17 which was the first business day after a weekend move. Damage to the tv was not noticeable at time of delivery. Once cable was connected we were clearly able to see the damage to the screen. They can't even get the damage to the picture correct, there was no glass on that piece. The frame was severely scratched. The company never mentioned we would need to purchase additional insurance, not the sales person when he came out and not the moving crew on date of moving. Sales person Dan R. even admitted on a phone call on 7/20/17 that the moving crew should have offered it that morning prior to start of move. When a company advertises as licensed, bonded and insured a consumer feels like they will be protected if their belongings are damaged. That is not the case with Honest and True Moving Crew. You are only protected if you purchase additional insurance which no one tells you about.

COMPANY CANCELED OUR MOVE 1 WEEK PRIOR TO MOVE
My family and I are active duty and we reached out to this company one month prior to our requested move date. We received 2 confirmed estimates also put our down payment. I just so happen to sell my 2 couches I had included on the original inventory and reached out to see if we could get an updated inventory and price quote. After waiting a week to receive an updated quote I reached out to the owner to see where the disconnect was and why I hadn't received a phone call back he notified me that he no longer wanted to do my move without any reason as to why. This company added 10x more stress onto our PCS seeing as though they were scheduled to pick our belongings up in 7 days.

Desired Outcome

The true reason why our move was canceled.

Honest True Moving & Storage Service Response

We made a major change within our company and hired on new staff whom attempted to turn our Honest and True Company into a Brokers business. Once it came to light that our new employees were selling moves at any costs just to gain their commission there was no way we could efficiently complete the move based on promises that were made. This was a learning experience for ourselves and well as for many clients. This was a great loss for our company. But we will stay true to our name and remain Honest and True and not perform services we know we are not capable of doing.

Well I Usually don't put reviews in for anything but for this one I will.
Hired these guys over 3 other moving companies. The owner joe came out after his salesman was out to double check something . That was the second good impression I had of them after the salesman being the first one. Pricing was fair as well. The five guys that showed up at my house were very nice . I watched these guys all day and they didn't stop working . The leader of the crew was great and addressed all my concerns. Keep doing what your doing
