The Horizon employee came to our house and efficiently examined our central air conditioner and found it ready for summer.
Jeff Napkori was a great technician handling A/C issue quickly and changed filtered and changed lubricant and was thorough in his explanation.Have used Horizon for years and ell everyone to use them.
Always on time, complete explanation of service to be performed and pricing, service always performed in a timely manner, very professional demeanor, no issue post installation.
After 2 very cold days without heat, I had the best results I could have hoped for. I needed a full system replacement. The sales person and technicians were outstanding. They arrived as scheduled and were neat, clean and very professional. I would highly recommend Horizon to family and friends
We used Service Mark for years for all of our HVAC needs. We had an annual service plan that provided Spring AC tune-up and Fall heater tune-up. Our last heater tune-up was Fall 2017 and last AC tune-up was in Spring 2018. No issues. Great company. BTW, Sales and Service were separate units within Service Mark. More on that further down. Horizon Services recently bought out Service Mark. They honored the service plan and came out on 10/25/18 to perform the Fall tune-up. After the tune-up was completed, I was told that the capacitor was "weak", but that there were other issues (I can't recall; too much jargon) and that what we really needed was a whole new heater. The tech laid out a couple of options with pricing. The heater is only 10 years old. I was suspicious. I declined. The tech asked me to be sure to use his name if I changed my mind and called back to schedule the work. Unlike Service Mark, it appears that there is no, or very little, separation between Sales and Service. I suspect that the techs get a commission on sales. If that is true, I think this is a bad business model. I contacted another company to perform a tune-up to see if the verdict would be the same. As with Horizon, I was told that the capacitor needed to be replaced, but, unlike with Horizon, there was no mention of needing a new heater. I authorized the replacement of the capacitor. After the tune-up was completed, I asked specifically if the heater was, overall, in good condition. The tech said it was in perfect working order and that I could expect at least another 5-10 years of the same. One could argue either that the second tech was incorrect/incompetent or that Horizon was trying to sell me a heater that I did not need. I don't know the answer, but I wonder whether unsuspecting consumers are being cajoled by Horizon into buying expensive new systems that they don't need. I emphasize that this is a suspicion on my part, but I think that, under the circumstances, my suspicion is reasonable. I reported my concerns to the PA State Attorney General's Office.
Horizon Services came to my house to service my 7 year old heating and ac unit. I called them for enexpensive advertised $59 ac service and $29 heating service....the technician after about an hour inside and out he told me the condenser was going replace parts and labor $5301. To replace entire unit. $9-17,000. He said it was on its last legs and could go anytime.
I called Christian HVAC they sent a technician the same day looked everything over and found no issues with units but it could use a good cleaning...
I feel Horizon through their very expensive advertising publish and send low cost coupons to get into people's homes then try to sell unnecessary repairs...Very bad and dishonest business practices, I'm sure they take advantage of many people....

I have been very happy with Horizon services. Their prices are high but I don't mind paying for quality service. They are always on time, professional and answer all questions thoroughly.
Today Horizon Services installed a new A/C unit (with hybrid heat pump upgrade). The salesman (Dave D) explained all the details of the proposed new system, and provided a fair price. The technicians (Todd Hc and Dennis) were professional and did a first rate installation. I would surely recommend Horizon Services in the future!

We recently engaged Horizon Services for a water heater replacement. The company was professional, prompt, and was able to accommodate us the very next day. The service technician communicated with us and arrived within the time frame we were given. He quickly assessed the problem, and quickly completed the repairs. He contacted a fellow technician, who arrived with the proper unit and both respected our time and our home. We were given options prior to any agreement. We are very pleased with Horizon and their team and service. We have employed them a few times in the past.

Tom Z. was my technician and he was very professional and friendly. During my A/C tune-up he discovered a capacitor that was not functioning properly, and he replaced it under warranty. It was nice to see him take a proactive approach, because if he hadn't replaced it, it would have likely resulted in an eventual burn-up of the fan motor and shut down of my A/C likely sometime during the hot summer months.
