Customer Service dept spoke to consumerAfter discussing the circumstances, it was agreed that the bill for services rendered would be reduced to the agreed upon amount of $Customer is sending check

Please be advised that we have made several attempts to reach customerAfter attempts, she answered phoneWas asleep and to call back next day.Called back next day, spoke to Adult Daughter, she said she would call us back later, no return call yet We are certainly willing to address prevailing issuesbut able to communicate yet Will continue to try to reach out and solve any outstanding issues As soon as we make contact, will re-notify you of thefinal resolution Consider this an interim answer only

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below There is no proposed action in this responseThe "requested" $refund is entirely separate from this complaint because it was a duplicate charge that should have been refunded when the second $charge cleared - instead, we called and were eventually directed to someone named ***This person only recently attempted to reach us this week (from a phone number not listed on any of Indy Air Care's contact information), and these attempted contacts were concentrated within little more than a hour time span, the first of which was well after typical business hoursWhen we were able to call this evening and finally speak with ***, he was getting ready to meet friends and could not discuss the matter at that timeIt is also curious that all contact attempts made by Indy Air Care were made to one of our phones, on a number that never even appears on the Revdex.com complaint as filed (or on the work order(s)); if efforts had actually been made to call the number we provided, we would have been more able to discuss the matter at that time - which is why we gave that number in the first place In our minds, the complaint filed with Revdex.com is entirely about the final $bill; the additional $duplicate charge is a matter of poor bookkeeping, but if you would like to also address this here, we will certainly obligeWhen we initially called about this duplicate charge, [redacted] answered the local number and was unable to help us, but said he would forward our concern to the relevant party, who would "get back with us"Wanting a more immediate resolution to this overdue refund, we called the number listed on the work order for customer serviceWe were asked to hold, and when the woman who answered came back, she asked if we had just talked to [redacted] about thisShe then gave the same response that "someone would get back to us" but we insisted on speaking with someone who could help usAt this point, we were finally connected to a person named ***, who asked for the credit card number to issue the refund, and were told it would take 3-business daysThis money did post to the account - on August - so as far as we are concerned, that matter is closed Our complaint with the $final bill, however, is still unresolved: it is concerned with the services which Indy Air Care claims to have performed, and are completely independent of the $duplicate chargeThe bulk of our initial complaint dealt with this matter, not the duplicate charge, and it is unclear to us how there is any confusion regarding the information we included in our initial complaint, or how it could not pertain to our circumstances Regards, [redacted]

We attempted to answer, via Internet, but the paragraph box would not permit any typingThis email is our response We have not been able to get a response back from Mr [redacted] Three messages were left at [redacted] He is the consumer present at the residenceThere are several issues presented that are not applicable to the complaintWe will continue to clarify any outstanding issues and do not consider this a final effort to seek resolutionAs per Mr [redacted] 's request last week, he wanted his Fathers credit card credited $2,That was done immediatelyThis is money he borrowed until he could get his own credit presentedThis letter is an interim response, so that we comply to your time constraintsWe do not want any impression that we won't cooperate in resolving any issues presented We will keep you informed as to the finality of this dispute Stephanie Customer Relations Indy Air Care

Horrible experience To begin with they were very late Were supposed to show up between 8-and called at to say they were still going to be 45+ minutes However, that is something I can forgive and not that big of a deal When the gentlemen showed up they were very kind and courteous They took a look around and got started right away About half way through one of the men came to me and ask to see my coupon I had one for $that was supposed to get me vents cleaned He took it and came back a while later with what looked to me to be an invoice He started going through the services they were doing and got to the end where he told me the total would be $ I refused and told him he could stop working right now because I was never told this would be the cost All of the sudden what was at first my bill became just my "estimate" and he would go talk to his boss about what could be done We are now about hours into the job He came back and told me his boss said they could clean and sanitize all my vents for $and did I know what a great deal that was I again said no, I would like to pay what I was told I would be paying which was $ I should mention that I told the person on the phone when I scheduled my appointment about the coupon He went to talk to his boss and all of the sudden my price was $ This is where it went downhill Since I wasn't going to be paying what they wanted they got lazy They sat outside to smoke for about minutes Got dirt all over my walls, bedroom and bathroom And pried off all of the vents on my walls This caused big holes and strips of drywall to fall off I live in an old house and I recognize the vents are hard to get off, but don't pry them off then Talk to me about it They also destroyed my bathroom vent, which wasn't even a vent So they accidentally took off a vent and caused major holes to form for something they didn't even need to clean They should know the difference between a vent and a fan at this point I have had to spend my time and money to repair all of the walls and damage done

In February we called Indy Air Care to clean our ducts Our basement had flooded and mold had started growingThey said they did this kind of work They tore out all the drywall and took up the flooring They did a horrible job on the drywall and installed a carpet not even near what we had picked out The man that started the job quit working for the company so they sent out another man to take over he took out the carped and had the walls redone He also nocticed there was mold in the crawl space and it had gone under the upstairs bathroom and kitchen sink area Due to a structural default he called in a Structual Engineer Indy Air has never put in the caroet downstairs The man working on the job now stopped working for Indy Air because they weren't paying him The Structural Engineer has taken over the job and theings are starting to move along now after almot months The men working on the job now set up a meeting with Indy Air to get the materials they needed to complete the job When they got to the office everything had been moved out The Industrial Engineer said we had over paid Indy Air and he was going to try to get some of our money back That looks impossible now The two men working the job now have promised they will finish the job and apologized for what had been doe to us by Indy Air They have an advertisement in the weekly ads and the $job turned in to a $70,job We feel good about the men doing the job now, but don't want this to happen to others We are now broke and would have loved to have gotten some of the money back!!! Hoe you can find them and revoke their license in Indiana!!

Saw their coupon and called to schedule an appointment They explained the coupon would go from $to $because we had an extra cold air return They show up today for the appointment and the price is $ They said the coupon was for vent cleaning rather than duct cleaning -- even though the coupon says "vents, return AND A MAIN TRUNK LINE" There are a lot of companies out there that do this Might as well work with one that is honest

Unqualified workers and crew leaders, owner is a liar and does not return calls or keep his word to what he advertises or states he will do for the agreed price, but the estimate was performed by a clown or Bozo, try's to avoid calls and not respond with integrity, was apparent the owner is a well to do and is a narcissist and never cleaned our ductwork, but tried to do over $4,worth of work and never did it, but his people or workers, knew less than me about procedures, materials, application, and professionalismIt was July when they came out, said I had Mold on my main trunk, which I know is a lie, for I am a professional in this field and a licensed Professional and with years of building and years as a Home Inspector, it was just minor surface rust to the main trunkNOT MOLD! I called, he sent out another, sub contractor, that agreed with me that there was no mold, but jacked up the price $2,to do the work that was needed, but I had it done, with lighting and wrap to the so called mold to the trunk duct, which was cleaned and wrapped, lighting, two sump pump pits, which He was installing only one, which I stated to His foolish and unknowledgeable crew person, one was not sufficient and they did not even know or use soil sock pipeHave had the work performed, wood replacement with Blue board, and more than his Sub Contractor said he would do, for he was years younger than me and said it would cost $3,more, for he had to work harderWussies and LiarsAll I wanted was to clean our duct for the ad for $39.95, but the duct was never cleaned, lied to over and overAll beware of this company and guy, *** ***, for He is a Liar and a Cheat! That is my experience and opinion, for I have been in the Home Construction and Crawl business since and this company is a roost and scam to cheat those, (not like me), into thousands of dollarsBeware, Crooked company without a doubtI just wanted our duct cleaned and was lied to and never responded to my calls to clean the duct, even after our crawl was completely and professionally doneNever will recommend this company and avoid them at your own costs and problems, for that is all we experienced

Indy Air Care, IAC, was outstanding! They came out for an advertised specialThere was no pressure to purchase additional services! When I saw the debris and dust in our vents and how clean they were after, I was sold! Thank you for great service!

I had Indy Air Care clean my dryer vent two years ago and they did a great job, so I called them back to do it againThey had sent two men and they cleaned the dryer vent and they charged me $ My appointment this time was from 11:00-1:on a Thursday and the technician called about 11:and said he would be at my home from 1:00-2:and I said that would be fine He arrived at 1:and said the job would be $179.00, and I told him I would not pay that and showed him the bill from last timeI told him two guys were here last time and they moved the dryer out and cleaned behind it, but he said he does not do that he just cleans it from the outside and said I must have had something else done to have two guys I said well one might have been in training or something, but there was two guys and they did the dryer vent cleaningSo basically he called me liar He said he was not going to do it for that and he was leaving I told him to call his office, he called and got no answer, then his phone rang back and it was someone I assume from his office He explained the situation and told the person he was talking to what I would pay and what I paid last time, and I could not hear what the other person said, but the technician said "I will do it then" From that exchange I thought that he was going to do it for the same price as last time, but he said $and I said angrily, OK, but that will be the last time--it is a rip off, and he said he was not going to do it and leftWhy after the phone call, would he say he would do it, when he did not have my permission at $150? I think the manager told him to go ahead and do it for the $and the technician jacked the price on his own I was OK with them getting there late because they called, but when they almost tripled the price over last time for the same work I was not happyThey even had two men last time, this time only one I called the Indy Air Care office and after two people, I apparently got the manager which I asked for to begin with and was told he was not available, and at any rate, he tried to blame it all on me and that they had a special last time (I had their ad attached to their bill and there was no special advertised), I told him it is going to be $like last time or we are done He kept trying to sell me and told him I was going to call the Revdex.com and he said they do not set prices, and I should call someone else, and I told him they do take complaints though and that is where it ended This is the first time I have complained to the Revdex.com, but this is warranted in my estimation I would appreciate you following up on this matter

Please be advised that the previous complaint was orchestrated and written by a competitor on the job siteThere will be forthcoming evidence
substantiating this claim

Our customer care representative spoke to Mr*** last weekAll details were discussedIt was agreed bwtween He and Indy Air Care that a $refund was acceptable to solve any outstanding differencesBoth parties consider this case closed

Please be advised that we received the above referenced complaint Due to the complexity of this complaint, there are several different
sub-contractors involved in the work projectAll parties will be conferring with each other, determining their area of
responsibility. As for right now, arrangements are being made to remove drywall in question and insulation will be installed as per job quoteThis is being
coordinated with the responsible party
Will keep you posted as to the progression of solving complaint

Indy Air Care is a business I would not recommend doing business with Customer service with this company is absolutely the worst I have ever seen in a company
I requested to have a dryer vent replaced during my duct cleaning and after being told this is a service the company does, I was told they cannot do it I asked to speak to management within the company and was routed to a Don ***, who is a 3rd party that handles customer service for Indy Air Care Don stated that “Indy Air Care is a large company that would rather not deal with small customers like me ($purchase) and they would rather find me another company to do that job.” The funny thing is, I would have never done the duct work cleaning if I knew they couldn’t perform that job for me in the first place The end resolution is that they would find somebody to complete the job for me, but for an exorbitant rate
I have sense read about other customer’s complaints with bait and switch scams and I also fell into that scam as well Customers be aware, do your research, and don’t use this company There is a reason why they were voted one of the worst contractors in Indianapolis and you will pay for it They hire folks like Don that handle customer service from Florida (I’m in Indiana) and he doesn’t have a clue what real customer service is His solution was for me to figure it out Most folks would not be employed long if they had that type of service, but based on the article below, you can tell they have been operating this way for several years Pay attention and do your research!

We are sorry to hear about your unfavorable experience with work done at your home March
The technicians there have a combined work experience of years and hundreds of satisfied customers
They both have a breadth of knowledge of mold and its characteristicsIn all disciplines of
mold identification the first rule is visual identificationThey have seen hundreds of mold growth situations and know the difference between
mold and dirtThe technician offered to show you in person in the next room, the moldHe took a photo and showed you
since you weren't feeling well enough to go to the other room Your friend also saw the photo and expressed is was "gross"
and said "I told you so"
As for the use of biocides, we use only products that have been tested by the EPA for use in ventilation systems
As with many other household products, they can become an irritant to one's respiratory systemWe are sorry for
the impositionSince you were unconvinced because of their use, it would be appropriate to remove those charges from your invoiceAs for
the remaining of the cleaning portion those charges would still standIf you checked with the EPA
you would discover the typical charge for cleaning a typical home, the charges are anywhere from $to $with no extras
As it stands right now, you have stopped payment on your checkWe have been paid
nothing as of nowWe will wait for your three estimates from other companies, and will await
your findings and hope your heart will do the right thing

In the matter of responding to complaint of Ms*** ***, we offer the following:Indy Air sent a representative to the home of Ms ***A review of the issues earlier stated were resolved to Ms ***'s satisfaction

Their technician called me and pressure me to give my credit card # in order to collect $to clean the substance he foundI told him I was at the office at that moment and I could not take that decision right away and I need the company to send me a written statement saying they tested for mold and it turned out positive and how much the cost is to get rid of itHe was very rude and threatened me, and scared the tenants so much telling them how sick they will beSo I called Indy Air Care and complain about his tecchnician's behavior and asked for the estimate and then I called times yesterday and I called today again and they do not want to send itThat is very suspicious!!!

My experience with IAC was not pleasantI responded to an advertisement in the REACH Magazine for an air duct cleaning and I was given no opportunity to repair issues they claim I had with my duct work and instead of telling me they should not clean the vents the service tech went ahead and hooked up the equipment to my register and didnt even clean ventsThey were in my house about minutes after hooking up equipment and claimed to be completed with the work after telling me it could take hoursThey were really quick to point out my issues with my system and very quick to offer additional cleaning but never did they offer a quote to repair before they so called cleanedThis place is a RIP OFF and they have a reacket going to get money for nothingThey should have said to me is that before we can do a thourough cleaning of the vents you need repairs and we can do those for this cost but, no they did a half *** job and left

Dear Mr***,
This is in response to your last message to the Revdex.comThe visit by two other companies, and their undermining the unit and install work is an expected responseThey obviously want to justify a reason to up sell you on a new unitPlease remember, this unit has worked well in both hot and cold for the past yearsNow all of a sudden, it's no good? The current scenario stated does not match the reality of the factsThe unit has experienced a valve failureA forty dollar partThousands of AC units across the country of all brands have experienced the same failure after years or soonerAs you understood at the time of purchase you had a year warranty on the partsThe Goodman company is willing to honor their warrantyUnfortunately you thought you had labor coverage as wellWhen examining copies of your paperwork is does not reflect any labor coverage'sIn an effort to exercise goodwill, Indy Air Care offered to do the warranty and labor for less than $the regular cost would be more than double this amountThis would be considered more than fair in any court of opinionAt this time there is no rational reason to expect any refund from Indy Air CareThe offer still remains on the table to assist you in resolving your Heat Pump Valve issue
Thank you,
Don C*** Customer Relations
