automatically enrolled in a monthly membership and billed $25.81 immediately
and $25.81 every month thereafter, unless you cancel. You may cancel at any time

You may
cancel your membership, including any trial or nonstandard membership at any
time by calling our customer support line at 1-866-490-5980 between 5am - 10pm
Pacific Standard Time (7 days a week) to speak with one of our Customer Service
Representatives. Any cancellation request will cancel your upcoming bill.  Our number one goal at Instant Checkmate is
customer satisfaction. If you are ever not satisfied with our services, feel
free to call one of our excellent customer support staff between the hours of
5am and 10pm PST (7 days a week), or between 6am and 2pm PST on holidays, and
we will work to resolve your issue. Refunds are handled on a case by case basis
with the ultimate goal of complete customer satisfaction.
We

Total Garbage site. The site leads you to believe that it will give you information if you pay the fee, so I did and it keep adding massive charges for basic information. The charges never stop, it is like putting a piece of cheese in front of a mouse and pulling it away every time you get close. What a JUNK SITE!!! BEWARE

This service is terrible, they are clearly taking advantage of people. They take your money, and then do not provide any helpful information. Any additional information is an extra charge. I called within 5 mins to cancel and they would not refund my money. They also left me on hold for 15 mins. In addition, the customer service person was rude.
Do not use them... shady company, believe the reviews!!!

This company is in the business of obtaining customers money not providing a service of value. The customer service department was very polite and helpful in trying to address my issues with the web site. But, that being said, the site offers nothing more than what you can find without charge on the internet.
With the limited and often erroneous information provided this would be a viable service with a nominal charge of say $5.00 per month. One month is more than anyone would ever need. A monthly subscription seems like a very large scam where the company hopes that you forgot that you have a subscription. My suggestion to this company would be to try being a legitimate business and offer value for money instead of sitting up nights trying to improve your scam.

Instant Checkmate is a scam. I just made a one time payment to find out that $26.82 was being taken out of my account month after month. They claimed that they clearly stated that it was a recurring montly payment or membership which I don't recall reading it. So this is a fishing tactic trying to engage people in montly services. On top of everything the service is worthless. The information they provided is all on google. Worthless service. Scam tactic. My advice to you is don't use there service or you'll regret it.

You may cancel your membership, including any trial or nonstandard membership at any time by calling our customer support line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to speak with one of our Customer Service Representatives. Any cancellation request will cancel Your upcoming bill.
e) Refund Policy

This company promises on their Web page that for a membership fee of $22.84 you will receive a comprehensive background check including criminal and public records search, but upon paying the fee you only receive information that can be found with any Google search. Upon searching my own name, I received back my name, address, an outdated phone number(12 yrs old) and the names of a few other family members. That's it!!! It then said if I wanted a criminal background check, I could get it for an additional fee of $19.99. I called immediately to complain and cancel the membership because this is a bait and switch scam as far as I am concerned. The representative said that if I had read the terms of use that it states that only public records are given. She said fee not returnable and then I complained and said that I would be letting every social media site I could find know what they do. After talking to her supervisor she said she could only give back 1/2 the fee paid. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!
