[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:  We do not dispute that the trial order was placed or the attached recording.  My issue as I originally stated was we attempted to cancel and were unable to speak with alive person to cancel and could only leave voicemails.  An effort was made to cancel.
Its clear to me that this is there tactics and that is why they record the calls but are not there when you attempt to cancel.  We request this be cleared because we did attempt to cancel and also we want to be added to a do not call/do not contact listRegards,[redacted]

[redacted] misunderstands our response to her complaint. We did not respond in order to gain her acceptance or rejection of our response. We responded to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that [redacted]'s complaint lacks merit. By providing the recording of her agreement to the terms and conditions of our offer, we believe we have proven her complaint to be bogus.

Thank you for agreeing to resolve this matter. We have contacted [redacted], which is now handling the account, and asked them to reach out to you. You should be hearing from them shortly, if you haven't already. Please let us know if [redacted] doesn't contact you.

This business edited the recording.  Furthermore, I did not receive a call or message from this business.  I am pleased with the outcome in knowing they have removed me from their list, but for purpose of business ethics, I hope you will see the typical red flags involved with such manipulative sales.  This is dirty business.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
The process of the Revdex.com complaint system gives the complainant two options once a business responds to a complaint. To accept the businesses response and settle the complaint, or to reject the response. As I chose to reject the response, I am taken to a template which reads above: "I am rejecting this response because:" and from there I must explain my reasoning for not settling my complaint. This is the way this system works, whether this company asked for my objections or not. As to my account of the situation being called "bogus", I have not reported one single word that is false. The company is saying I signed up for their newsletter over the phone which is a separate program than if you sign up online. I did go to their website and sign up for the free trial at one point in time, thus where they got my contact information in order to call me in the first place. Just because after the fact they did call me about the newsletter does not make the fact that I signed up on their website false or in their words, "bogus."
I did indeed go to the website at one point in time to sign up for the newsletter.  The same website that reads, "Request Your 4-issue trial Newsletter Subscription NOW! For a limited time, you can receive four email issues to review without any obligation to pay. If the product doesn't meet your needs, simply do nothing and they'll stop sending it! Otherwise, if you wish to continue your subscription, pay just $249 and receive this twice-monthly newsletter for one full year of 24 issues" (Which was removed from their website right after I submitted my complaint to the Revdex.com). They used my phone number which I provided on their website to call me and have a sales person speak with me about the newsletter. So what I'm getting from them is, if you sign up online you do NOTHING if you wish to cancel the trial. If you sign up with a salesperson over the phone, you must go through an actual cancellation process (which I did not receive a notice about or see anywhere on their website). So I sign up online, they call me, and because of that- I am supposedly obligated to pay hundreds of dollars I would not of  had to pay if they wouldn't of called me? I feel like this is most certainly a scam and that this company is being highly deceitful in order to get a large amount of money for a service and product that was never provided in the first place.
Again, almost instantly after I submitted my complaint to the Revdex.com, their website completely removed the wording:  "Request Your 4-issue trial Newsletter Subscription NOW! For a limited time, you can receive four email issues to review without any obligation to pay. If the product doesn't meet your needs, simply do nothing and they'll stop sending it! Otherwise, if you wish to continue your subscription, pay just $249 and receive this twice-monthly newsletter for one full year of 24 issues." This has been replaced by a much more informative statement, reading: " The offer: We'll send the next four issues of OSHA Compliance News to your e-mail inbox. If you decide that you'd like to continue to receive the newsletter for a full year of 24 issues, the cost would be $249 to subscribe. If you're not interested in continuing the subscription, be sure to cancel within 60 days or receiving your Continuation Notice." The fact that this was changed in a extremely short time period after my complaint about this exact subject only leads me to believe even more so in my stance on this company's deceit.

[redacted] appears to be making two allegations in her rebuttal:1. Before the recording started, our associate allegedly misrepresented the offer. In fact, her allegation isn't true. Our sales representatives are continually monitored by our quality control manager, and they know they could be disciplined if they attempt to misrepresent the offer. Further, [redacted] was plainly told she was being recorded for quality control purposes. She alleges that she fell into a trap. However, there's nothing in the conversation to indicate she was coerced into anything. If she wasn't interested in the offer, she simply could've said "No Thanks," and that would've been the end of it. In reality, [redacted] willing accepted the terms and conditions of the offer as outlined to her, as proven by the recording supplied in our initial response to this complaint.2. Our phone system is terrible, according to [redacted]. In reality, many of our customers like our phone system, because they don't have to punch a bunch of numbers to reach a live person. If our customer service representatives are busy, callers have the option of leaving a message. Assuming that [redacted] did in fact attempt to call us, as she alleges, she chose not to leave a message. If she had, we would've called her back.Because [redacted] agreed to receive our product, benefited our product, but failed to cancel her annual subscription, we will continue our efforts to collect the past-due balance on this account.Because the account has been turned over to the collection agency, if [redacted] would like to settle the matter, she's welcome to call [redacted] and speak to them.

which [redacted] of [redacted], agreed to receive our publication OSHA Compliance
News.
Please listen
to the recording.
After reviewing
the recording, we’ll hope you’ll note the many discrepancies in [redacted]’s
complaint. First, she states that she found the newsletter online. That is
obviously not the case; the recording proves she was offered the product
over the phone. In addition, [redacted] alleges that she would “never agree
to receive something that.” Obviously, her statement is inaccurate, given that
she clearly did agree to receive it.
Otherwise, [redacted] makes several statements in regard to trial offers to subscribers
who access our website. That is a different marketing program that has
nothing to do with [redacted]’s agreement with our sales associate over the
phone.
Given that Ms.
Standerfer did agree to receive our product, benefited from our product, but
failed to cancel her annual subscription, we believe this is a legitimate
past-due balance, and we will continue our efforts to collect the funds owed to
us by [redacted].
We hope and
trust our ironclad evidence that [redacted] agreed to receive our product
and accepted the terms of our offer will prompt the Revdex.com to
classify this complaint as unfounded.

Thank you for providing the file supporting [redacted]'s agreement to purchase the publication. The confusion surrounding this issue stems from the fact that shortly after this she agreed to pay for this publication, she took another position with another facility. Would it be possible for the publication she wanted - which the Institute for Business Publications states was supplied to her via email - be sent to a new email address. If we have the materials/documents she requested in our possession, then I would release the funds. Please reply if this is acceptable. The publication or link to it can be sent to [redacted].com.
Thank you.

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I did, in the recording, agree to receive the trial offer of the newsletters. At no point did I ever agree to pay $249.00 for a yearly subscription. The woman who contacted me on Monday 7/13/15, said I was required to respond to the email notice about cancellation.  I have never received any email stating anything about a cancellation. The only email I received outside of the 4 trial newsletters stated that IF I wanted to continue for a full year to pay $249.00. I went to their website and it clearly states: "For a limited time, you can receive four email issues to review without any obligation to pay. If the product doesn't meet your needs, simply do nothing and they'll stop sending it! Otherwise, if you wish to continue your subscription, pay just $249 and receive this twice-monthly newsletter for one full year of 24 issues." I did not receive an email instructing me on how or when to cancel, and the website says do nothing, therefore, I did not do anything to cancel. Furthermore, although I did not cancel in the way they are stating was required of me, the only service they provided to me was the 4 trial newsletters. I did not continue receiving any services from them passed that point, therefore I am not in debt to them for any reason.

Attached please find a recording from Sept. 25, 2014, of a conversation in which Ms. [redacted] of [redacted] Corp. agreed to receive our publication [redacted].Please listen to the recording. You'll note that at no point during the conversation is the word FREE...

mentioned. In fact, Ms. [redacted] was specifically told that it cost $177 for two users to receive the publication. She was also told that she needed to cancel within 60 days. In fact, Ms. [redacted] did not cancel. We hope and trust that our ironclad evidence that Ms. [redacted] agreed to receive our product and accepted the terms of our offer will prompt the Revdex.com to categorize this complaint as unfounded.

Review: A Trial is just that a trial. I dont remember even agreeing to a trial, and I surely did not subscribe to anything. I received a bill for a subscription. You do not bill someone for a free trial, even if I did inadvertently check something. Furthermore if I did agree to check out their publication, it would be exactly that, to check out their publication. I have not seen their publication so I could even consider it for possible subscription. I have never seen such unethical practices, certainly not professional.I am extremely unimpressed to receive this bill for which I did not ever agree to anything. I may have thought I was checking out your publication, but I do not remember doing so and I have received nothing. I certainly will not pay this bill, do not want their subscription, or their publication which I have never received.Desired Settlement: See that the subscription I did not agree to is cancelled, and I think this business should be reprimanded for unethical business practices.
