As a renter, Intempus was responsive to fixing the property. However, they were unresponsive in our move out. They withdrew another month's rent from our bank account after we had terminated the lease and kept it for nine days. Additionally, they would not respond to our calls about scheduling a walkthrough to check for damage. We have yet to receive our damage deposit back and it is past 21 days. Be careful, as this large company is sloppy about returning monies that have been LOANED by the renter to the company.
Hello Susan, in regards to the automated withdrawal, the tenants are responsible for setting up the auto payments and removing them before they are planning to depart. We do not have access to control tenant's auto payment set up for security reasons. The refund was sent to you right away when the funds cleared the account as it does take time to transfer funds to and back between the banks. We have no record of your calls or emails about the deposit. Your deposit refund was sent within 21 days from your departure and it should arrive any day now. Your deposit is not a LOAN, it's a protection to the landlord against any excessive wear and tear on the property which in your case took 40 hours to repair! We only billed you for 15 hours. We are looking into pressing charges and reporting to the credit bureau some of our findings.
