Invents Company has fully performed the terms of the agreement with this client. That contract has since expired over 5 months ago. The client now complains because his project was not successful and demands a full refund. Having fully investigating this matter the Company concludes that no refund...

Review: On October **,2014, I signed an agreement with Invents company LLC and paid the amount of $795.00 through my checking. I met 1 or 2 times prior to signing the agreement for them to come up with a marketing research and product summary digest. [redacted] (invents co. rep) discussed with me the whole marvelous and deceiving marketing strategy with a one time fee of paying $ 795.00 to set it up and will take two months for the product summary digest to be process and if the recommendation of the patent agent is favorable then we'll proceed to the next two stages which is the actual marketing and licensing. He told me that an investment on our part would be amounting to 8-12 thousand dollars, but wait...you don't have to pay it up front and that the company will shoulder it including their resources for marketing which will cost to more than 50K and the only thing they want back is 10% of the whole value/commisions/royalty we would gain from being able to sign a contract with a merchant/investor for the intended period. I clarified this 3-5 times prior to getting into the contract and he said that we don't have to pay anything for the whole 2 years of binding agreement in search for an investor and to market said product. After 2 months, (the second week of January) I was able to talk personally with [redacted] after I did a follow-up call on the status. He gave me copy of the documents that my brother and I needs to review and decide if we'll proceed after he did a thorough line by line explanation of the whole contract and I did clarify again if we have to pay the 8-12K, he said no...prior to finalizing everying and I told him that I have to come back another day for me to discuss with my brother the whole contract. So I did met with him and I was so glad and including my brother to step forward to the next stage, I met with him and ask me to pay for the 8-12K cost to get into the contract and I told him I am not aware of it and he didn't mention that I have to bring in the check, that there was no other discussion of another payment on our behalf and told him I am leaving and I'll discuss it again with my brother. I finally got in touch with him after 3 or 4 calls after a week from said encounter, and I told him that we will not proceed and that I need my money back, he told me "what are you talking about!, you already paid that for the marketing research") in a very loud tone that hurt my ear and I decided to just hang up and not bother to discuss further since the whole deal was a scam and its meant for people to get deceive and be fooled and said company profited from this wrong ways. I don't know why they still existed and not legit company, they needed to be process under law for the whole marketing matrix/company is a scam.Desired Settlement: I am a working mother with 2 kids, drove myself at least 4 times over 30-45min. drive just to be taunt since the first encounter. I need the whole amount I paid which is $795.00 refunded to me through check sent directly to my adress with my right name and mailing adress. I don't need to speak or drive again to be verbally abuse by [redacted] to claim my refund. What he did and the company itself is a scam and a bait and knowingly deceiving people and I don't want to deal again with such bad souls and people with bad intentions.

What was called a Product Summary Digest. I gave a down payment of 500.00. and agreed to pay the balance of 337.44. Thru their finance company Innovation Credit Corp. I was to make 2 payments of 168.72. I made one additional payment of 168.72. However the company
never followed up with me as to what was the progress of the product. They refused to even talk to me when I inquired about progress. I continued to get constant additional
bills every month. from the finance company demanding more payments.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of the money I gave the company $668.72 and assurance that the company will not divulge my idea to anyone. Or use any part of my concept idea for any purpose.

Review: Invents Company LLC, which has branches in different States, such as New Your, California etc.. has offered its services which main goal was to bring alive my invention idea.
The contract that was signed by me was misrepresented by their employee. They took advantage if my English knowledge. The matter is that they did not offer an interpreter who could explain me in details all conditions mentioned in contract. Now, it appears, In signed a contract without understanding it fully. I have a friend who recently read it and explained me, and I understood that I was tricked. I trusted their employee who was elderly person, and thought he he will never misrepresent anything, cause he seams very honest.
The matter is that I though the company will provide me full package of services, cause according to their employee's words after paying them $8.650 I would have my product idea ready to share to manufacturers around the world, it will be patented, it will be presented to 1500 manufacturers and so on..
So, I paid them $8.500 and later found out that the contract was misrepresented, they played on my trust, and without providing me proper explanation the contract was signed by me. Now, I feel scammed. I did not know what I am paying for and want my money back, cause till today I did not know the exact meaning of the contract conditions.Desired Settlement: I require full refund. The contract was signed in an unlawful way.

I had an incredible experience with Invents Company. I had a very pleasant experience dealing with the customer service rep that was assigned to me. The are department did an amazing job depicting my idea. The infomercial video produced by the company was a huge help in narrowing information to be assessed by potential manufacturers. Everyone in the company I dealt with was very professional, from the product rep to the licensing department. I have referred this company to several of my friends and family.

Review: the firs represenative was a [redacted] who took a leave of absence when his mother became ill and I was turned over to a [redacted] who insist that I go to philadelphia to pick up a report which I have paid $942. 00 and if I do not go to philadelphia I do not get my money back nor do I get the report. I told [redacted], [redacted] understood that I did not have away to get there so he mailed the information to me but he failed to mention that I would have to go to philadelphia to pick it up. I am not so stupid to pay $942.00 for a report knowing I have no way of getting there. I was informed that I would not get the report nor any part of my money back if I did not go to philadelphia. Shocking but true, on February-**-2015 after I contacting invent company LLC and then got contacted back by a man that goes by the name of Jonas g[redacted]. So then I explained everything about my invention he was very interested really interested. So then he said to me that he needs about three day for him to do a quick research so to when he send it in to corporate office in new york. It is so unfair, after you find out what kind of people they are you began to hate that they were given a business license to steal peoples hard earrings. I found a company that did a US Patent search, Europe Patent search, and International Patent search, and a Previsional Patent Filing at the Patent Office for $990. Now everyone understand that every company operates different with terms and conditions and privacy laws and stuff like that, but within the law. Not to give people false hope and lies just to get them to pay you because they are so vulnerable. You have stole from me and my family despicable way a human-being  and steal from another. I was given a period of 7 days in which to cancel if I wished. After paying [redacted] $300.00 and signing the paperwork I found a lift chair that was advertised by wal-greens very similar to mine. I immediately mailed a certified letter to [redacted] asking to cancel the processing of my project and refund my money. To this day my money has not I been received. I have talked to the office in New York and asked for my money and asked for a refund.  The statement that they made is false.  They have my address  through the office here in Houston.  In fact I sent them a certified letter for the cancellation of processing. also I called their office here in Houston and spoke with a [redacted].  He never stated that my address was missing.  I also called their office in NY and the lady stated that her boss had already mailed the check(two weeks ago).  I hope that they appreciate my position as I am a retired veteran on a fixed income.  Just to make sure my address is: [redacted]. I paid one thousand dollars for this company to do a patent on my product idea. [redacted] and the ad I watched in office totally misrepresented the service and price. Review: Invents Synopsis
In December *, 2012 I partnered up to the Invents Co. for a proposed invention which supposedly went under evaluation to test its level of value in the market place. My first meeting was with [redacted] at the Woodbridge NJ office and I met him to talk initially about the product. After I had signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement and told [redacted] about the invention and the market I was looking into, he thought it would be a good product to move forward with and wanted to submit the handmade drawings and the descriptions of the markets and purpose to the experts they said they had in their main New York City Office which will even better understand the invention and the markets to see if it is a good idea to proceed before any investment is to be made.
After receiving word from [redacted] that the invention was reviewed by the New York Office and they thought it was a great idea with a ton of potential he invited me back in to discuss the next step. As [redacted] explained the next step was for me to invest into a company that was not affiliated with Invents so that they can do a patent research making sure that the invention was not already on the market or patented at that time already. I received notification a time later approximately 2-4 weeks that I was able to proceed as by their research there was nothing else on the market like it.
After agreeing to move forward with invents, [redacted] detailed all the steps and value that Invents was going to bring to the table. This included 3D Renderings, brochure and marketing materials, demographic and consumer testing, contacting the manufacturers, and following up with them, and negotiating a contract that I agree to whether that is a license or a royalty. I was told that Invents would be receiving a 10% royalty only for the first contract of the license and I would receive a 90% royalty. They had also told me that they will not receive their 10% royalty until I receive my investment back so it was in their best interest to sell merchandise as fast as they can.
In January Invents had begun working on this project starting with the 3D rendering. From the date I was notified it entered the 3d Art phase it took about 2 months. From 1-**-13 to 3-*-13. In addition that was only to get back the first rendering of it which was not even close to what my drawings were or that the description had for the product. I contacted Bill which was headed up the 3d art aspect of this at the time numerous times. It took until 5-**-13 for the final 3d rendering to be close enough to where it would make sense to the customer. I had to modify the products countless times because of the shape, function, design, aesthetics. I could also not get the representative on the phone to discuss more clearly as I had to use email to get my point across which is not the best channel of communication.
End of Art Phase 5-**-13
Beginning of the Brochure Phase Submitted to the client portal on 6-**-13 when really all it was copying and pasting the synopsis that I wrote for the product for the website and the patent description and copied the 3d art onto a foldable sheet. Once I looked at the brochure it was drastically off as noted in my email and needed to speak to them. There were multiple grammatical errors and was obvious that someone just merely copied and pasted the description as there were gaps between words as some sort of a make shift way of justified the words on the website. They finally fixed it and it seemed to be in good enough condition to move forward with the project.
After the brochure was complete then the public webpage was created. It was nothing but a template with a picture of the inventions and the product infomercial. The manufacturing, wholesale, and retail cost was created by me instead of the company.
After creating the web page they created a short infomercial video which was supposedly going to air in the San Diego area on a few different times and dates. This video also needed to be modified as it did not show how the invention actually dispenses the powder.
After the video was the creation of a licensee list which was supposed to hold a number of manufacturers that might be interested in producing the invention. Invents also asked me if there were any manufacturers that I would like them to reach out to as well. I was told that the manufacturers would be the one doing the prototypes and testing the invention, which seemed absolutely absurd to me. What company in their right mind would take an invention and make the prototype themselves. Companies are hard enough to try out a already completed prototype let alone having them create a prototype that has no CAD drawings, specs, mechanical design, internal mechanism specs, material list, etc.
After the the licensee list to send the inventors packet to was the Patent App was supposed to be filed. How they would file a patent application without knowing exactly the mechanism being used internally to dispense the powder is beyond me. They said when I first sat down with [redacted] that the concept is good enough and engineers on their team will construct that mechanism.
After coming up with the licensee list the patent app went in process. I come to find out that it is done through a patent agent instead of a patent attorney and the website that the agent was using looked to be the most unprofessional website with as little content as you can have.
Now the patent was filed and we were waiting for the patent to be approved and get filed. Once that was done Invents scheduled TV Airings out in the San Diego area on June [redacted] twice and once on the [redacted] and [redacted]. Following the supposed TV Airings which I was not able to be told when and where they were going to air when I spoke to an Invents representative on the phone, the press release was released. Who’s hands that got into is also beyond me as I would not be told how it was being submitted or where they were submitting it too. This one done by [redacted] and all they used was the same synopsis that is on the website, brochure, web page, and now the press release. A lot of copying and pasting was going on.
Lastly, the Invents Co. supposedly has campaigns for follow-ups for the manufacturers to get the product licensed. I heard of no responses. Also after asking if I can receive the 3d drawing file and video file so that I may use it myself and post it on my own web pages or facebook Invents would not give me those files. Unfortunately the provisional patent only last so long and because from the time of the filing date to the time that it “supposedly” reached manufacturers hands, it was almost time that the provisional patent was expired and either I have to move forward and apply for a utility patent, which it would never pass without the correct information, specs, and mechanics, or I would have to start the invention, patent, etc. from scratch.
The amount of money that I invested into this project was quickly realized that the time and effort spent did not pay off. The entire process was slow and poor but even the quality of the 3d drawings, the infomercial, the web sites, press releases, and approaching the manufacturers was nothing I couldn’t do already myself. Besides the fact that everything was so substandard in the general sense but especially for the amount of money invested, they would not supply me with my own 3d renderings, infomercial file, access to mechanical and technical specs of the product. This is all while giving me one excuse after another just to make it look like they were doing something.

Review: This company was supposed the get a work completed in 12 months and they spent 15 months doing 2/3 of the tasks.
For the past 4 months I have been receiving automatic emails saying that my project was being worked on only to find out last week when I finally got to talk with someone that my project had been on hold for 3 months for payments missing.
This company has no idea what it is to be their customer and they don't care, I have paid up to $6,000 this far and they just don't care that we are average Americans working hard.
I let them know via phone and email 2 weeks ago that I would go public with this and still no one has tried to contact me... They should have never accepted to work on my project as their process is only designed for products destined to be sold in store which is not my case. The contract with the customer provides for 24 months of service, not 12 months as the customer states. When a client discontinues payment the work on the project is merely put on hold until payment resumes (and extends the length of the agreement accordingly). when the client works out payment or resumes payment we will begin work on the project.  We are 16 months into the project ... They have no experience in Tech start-ups, it's very obvious that their plan would have never worked and they should not accept those type of projects.
24 months to work on a Tech Idea? Are they even looking at what's happening in the Silicon Valley? The process to bring a tech idea to the market is way different than the one of a new type of chair idea. They should recognize their lack of expertise in this area - There are no manufacturers involved in Tech start-ups my idea was fully developed and ready to use. We do not sell tech products in stores!

They were hesitant at start to accept the project because of all these reasons. Now we all understand why. The point is .. to be fair with the customer, a refund has to be issued.

Continuing to pay for this service would be like getting voluntarily into a car accident!

Review: I entered into a business agreement 3 years ago with Invents after spending $10,000 I was promised to have my invention turned over to a manufacturing company and then to have it marketed through out the country. I have called the company many times with the same result that they are pursuing a manufacture. They are not meeting their commitment. Last week the [redacted] of February 2016 I received a phone call from a company called [redacted] mfg. they said they were very interested in my product and would invest $250,000 to manufacture and market it. Here is the catch. They want $4,000 to develop a prototype before they will approach a manufacturer. Sounds like a sweet deal for the sales rep, where by I will be out all that money again, with nothing to show but idle promises.
