Review: Back in the summer of 2012 I have spent my 401K saving believing that my invention would be in the stores. I was told that in 12 months that I should have companies calling and investing into my invention. After the 12 months past, I received a letter in the mail requesting more money or I would lose everything that I have put into this invention. So far I have wasted 10,000 that were my life savings. It felt like I was tricked into investing into something that would work. I do not want anyone else to fall for this trick because 10,000 is a lot of money that I have been trying to pay back to my 401K.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund.

Invents company has investigated this matter and concluded the company will not provide a refund for the following reasons. The contract that the client signed clearly states the services the company provides, that includes obtaining a provisional patent for the client so that the company can market the product to manufactures in an attempt to secure a licensing deal. The contact does not provide for a utility patent, which is why her patent attorney or agent has contacted her for additional fees should she decide she would like to apply for a utility patent. the contract clearly states the risks involved in marketing an invention. Now that the contract is complete the client has decided they want their money back because a licensing deal was not made. The company has concluded it has performed its obligations pursuant to the terms of the agreement, no refund will be provided.

I believe this was the bigger mistake thatI have ever made. I was not told that there would be additional fees and feltmisguided that this investment would take me far but instead it has made mebroke and homeless. I just wish that no one else will go through what my familyis going through by wasting their retirement saving as I have done due to falsehopes. I hope that the next person will think twice before spending theirretirement saving on something that was never bound to happen. My family warnedme that I was getting scammed and I should have listened. Well since there isnothing else that I can do I just wish that other people are warned.

These people this guy named [redacted] who works in ca. he knows nothing about people!! all we wanted was for his company to go after a 1 time buy out and he just danced around everything,they are only after as much money as they can get!! this guy even called my house calling me a Mn!!!! if I had an employee as this guy i'd fire his -ss quicker than anything,,that company needs to flush the bowl,to many brown trout,[redacted] the biggest one,,STAY AWAY

Review: First of all, I had an invention idea and presented to invent co. We did a disclosure to the invention. I had some concerns about how things went, so I written a letter to the representative [redacted] in reference to many questions and concern. And one of the questions was is there up front money to the invention. He said not much. He then said that a patent search had to be done, and I said what if the idea is already out there, do I get my money back? His answer was yes. So he told me that the patent search will be $795. I didn't have that amount up front, so he said that I can do installments, so that's what I did. Then he called me to come in his office in which I thought that he was going to give me some information about the patent search and instead he draw up a marketing contract right there and told me to sign it and then he asked for $5,000, then I told him that I did not have that type of money and if I did I would not have to pay installments with the patent search. The he told me to find some investors, then I said I can ask around and I did but know one wanted to invest because of the marketing contract that he presented me. So I asked for a refund after about 2 weeks, then about another week and a half, he sends me a product summary with my name in it and told me that when I was in his office I forgot it. I read it and found out that I wasn't the only one with the same idea. He should have returned my money on that finding, so now he is suppose to be looking for some investor for my and that they going to want a large percent. before this get out of hand, I would like for them to refund my money due to the fact that I had ask them would there be up front money and how much, and he said not much, the patent search had 2 other people with the same idea, I feel that he should have return the money from that alone. He also should have told me that $5,000 would be up front money and if that was the case I told him that I would have never went through the patent search because I did not have that kind of money and if I did, why did I pay for the search in installments which was more then that was written on paper. I have a patent search price of $795, why did I have to pay $868.72. Last but not lease, a patent search is free.Desired Settlement: I sent document to him about a refund and he slither his way out of it saying that he told me everything. He also keep saying that I have a good product and if he feel that the product is good, how come his company is not backing it up. I had ask for a refund several times and he just ignored me.

The Client paid for a marketing report and patent research report from a registered patent attorney/agent. The client states that patent searches are free which is incorrect when provided by a patent attorney/agent. that said, The company will submit client a cancellation agreement for execution once that has been returned we submit a refund.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: I never paid for a Marketing report, only the patent search and I got proof from a text that was replied back to me about me not having the money there that the contact is not enforced.  I remember I started signing the contracts but because of me not having the money was voided.  Now you might have my signature on your copy, but the copy I got does not have a signature.  And if I have to, I can forward the text message that [redacted] replied to stating that we can not move on because there was no payment.  I was it going to be marketed when 2 people have the same idea, so if you did have a strategy how come I don't know?  I don't have $5,000 to give to the people that you was going to hire plus 10% to them, now what was your percentage again?
