Poor refund policy and cancelation services
Investorplace charge high price specially for lifetime services. I purchased Matt McCall's Early Stage investor service.Mat left within one year after my subscription and another person from Investorplace joined. I had agreed to pay for Mat's service and within 1 year they selected another person for my lifetime services. I didnt like the new services from other person and asked for refund which they didnt which automatically violates the promise. I didnt enjoy even a reasonable amount of time of my lifetime services from Matt McCall which was my main reason to purchase the Subscription and now they charged me day before yesterday $149 annual fee/ maintenance fee of a lifetime Subscription. I need this $149 fee back to my account. I already cancelled all your services as you cant keep up your promises.

RIP OFF
A withdrawal for Investor Place was made on June 6th 2021 for $106.92. I canceled almost immediately. When I had not received a refund by end of July 2021 I called and was informed a refund to my bank account was made on June19th 2021; however, Mastercard (the card I used to purchase this subscription) was "down" that day per my bank. Per my bank your company was advised on that day to either re-deposit or send me a check.
Investor Place followed through with Neither of these options.
I have emailed at least 3 times and called about 6 times to NO avail. The last person at your company that I spoke with-Anjelo?- reassured me she would take care of it and call me the next day. She did NOT and every time I called her back at the # she gave me there was only an answering machine available.
It is now Nov. 2nd 2021 and I have NOT received my refund.
I know Investor Place is rich enough that returning my $106.92 is NO big deal.
I WANT MY MONEY RETURNED.
This company steals.
And BBB will be alerted.

re RIP OFF
And I have received no mailings from Investor Place so I Know you canceled my subscription
Now return my hard earned money.

What good is your rating if you do not use customer reviews. This outfit is a scam.

It is impossible to cancel this on the site. The cancellation link does not work when you click it. They make it very difficult. Trying to reach for cancellation.

InvestorPlace Media Response • Mar 12, 2020

Hello *** -

We have successfully cancelled your membership to Strategic Trader. Initially when you were charged the $99 fee, the online cancellation did not process a refund due to the fact that that membership is non-refundable. With that said, we have issued a one time exception and a full $99 refund back to your credit card. You can expect to see that within 3-5 business days on your card.

Thank you!

This is a terrorist-type organization that continually bombards us as elderly and disabled people with unwanted, unrequested, filthy, vile, pornographic emails under the guise of being "financial newsletters." We have attempted using their own website's UNSUBSCRIBE button at least 15 times to have them stop to no avail. Since November 2019 we have called four times before today and each time have been lied to that we would not receive any more and they continue. Today, we called 3 times and were hung up on each time. The final time someone said the same thing we have been told before that we would not be getting anymore emails. We have heard that too many times. We particularly are upset that one of their "advisors" Louis N stole $4000 from us in that his office denied we ever sent it even though we had the cancelled check to prove it. This to us is immoral and even illegal, but we just want the filthy vile emails stopped. Our little granddaughter even saw (looking over my shoulder their porn) and said "Paw Paw, why doesn't that lady have any clothes on." That was when we started calling them, again to no avail.

InvestorPlace Media Response • Mar 12, 2020

Hello ***-

We have removed your email addresses from our system. I want to first say that we are 100% not sure what you are referring to in your Revdex.com or emails you sent our team. We are a financial institute and have no affiliation with any pornographic emails. I do apologize for being so blunt, however this is the first time in my 6 years hearing anything like this. I would strongly suggest you review your emails, including the address and any or all unsubscribe options you have. My team at InvestorPlace (that was sending you investment recommendations and analysis) has discontinued your free membership access. Again, we are not affiliated with the emails you claimed were part of our team.

Thanks

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because it is obvious that Louis N and his thugs are also liars. Not only did they send emails which contained pornographic pictures which my granddaughter her father (my son) saw, but I called them at the time and they tried to deny it. When I offered to send the email back to them, they hung up. I have contacted more than 80 times via email, by phone and their own website to be removed from their terror list to no avail. In fact, I have one that must arrived today just before I opened this Revdex.com email. They are thugs and I will be reporting them to the FBI for harassment and distribution of porn to minors. I hope they all rot in ***. I am a Christian and it is obvious they are not only heathens, but Satanist as well. However, IF he emails stop, I will be pleased, but I want my complaint posted on Revdex.com so that any and all other Christians, non-Christians and people who are honorable and have some morality will be warned about this terroristic organization. I want to thank Revdex.com for their attempt to solve this problem, but dealing with thugs like they are dealing with at N and his whore house reminds me of *** and ***. They are all the same, i.e. agents of Satan and his demons.

Regards

After I did not renew my subscription, they charged my card 4 times despite me informing them in writing and by phone that I did not want to have my subscription renewed. I had to cancel my card to stop them charging it.

I had a subscription to this company for a year. They sold my email to investor place and I started getting multiple emails everyday from numerous different investors. When my subscription ran out (October)I had no interest in renewing. I have tired numerous times since to have them remove my name from their emails. Yesterday I got a confirmation in form of an email that this had been done (I have received several emails that state they have removed my address. But I am still getting emails.

InvestorPlace Media Response • Feb 11, 2020

Hello ***-Thank you for taking the time
to share your experience. Below you will see a full recap of your account, what
you paid for, and our replies to each of the emails you sent in.

On 3/7/19 you paid $189.00 for
a two year membership to Neil G’s “Profitable Investing.” Neil works for
InvestorPlace. We have multiple research analysts who delivery daily/weekly/monthly
trading research and recommendations.

Neil emails all customers
with monthly issues, weekly “Journal” updates, and of course flash alerts. Your
subscription also came with Neil G’s “Income Investor Digest” (a daily
e-letter with actionable advice), and our InvestorPlace Digest (a daily
e-letter that covers all of our top analysts with actionable advice). I do want
to make clear that your email was not “sold” to InvestorPlace, that is the name
of our company… Profitable Investing is one of our services.

After purchasing your
membership on 3/7/19, we first heard from *** via email on 12/11/19 asking
to be removed from our mailing list. We replied to that email the same day and
removed the free daily emails from your account. There were several additional
emails sent on 12/18/19, 12/24/19, 1/22/20, and 1/23/20 in regard to stopping
emails. We did reply asking you to please contact our team by phone so that we
could clear up any confusion and assist. But there was no phone call made. All
promotional emails and daily emails were turned off. The only email on your
account were for the subscription that you paid for ($189 – two year
membership).

Our confirmation email stated
that you had a full 60 day refund period, however we did not hear from ***
until 9 months later. At this time, there is no option for a cash refund,
however I have added a full $189 in-store credit to the customers’ account, if
they wish to put that towards books or another membership. That credit is good
for 1 year.

I have cancelled the
membership to Neil G Profitable Investing and sent an additional
confirmation email to ***’s GMAIL on file. This will officially close down
their InvestorPlace account, with no additional emails.

In regard to the “disputed
amount” of $300 on this form, that is not something InvestorPlace will be agreeing
to return. One, that is not the amount paid (original amount was $189), and two,
we are unfortunately outside of any cash refund window.

I am sorry that this was your
experience. I do wish we could have spoken day one by phone to clear up any
confusion, but please refer to your original confirmation email on 3/7/19 that
states the promotional emails you agree to receive, the daily e-letters and the
monthly email trading alerts. We wish you the best.

I keep trying to unsubscribe from Investor Place but there is no way to do it. I see I'm not the only once complaining about this. Can something be done? Help!

InvestorPlace Media Response • Jan 30, 2020

Hello Heather - Thank you for sharing your experience.
I do see that you emailed in on 1/18/20 and our agent Juliana replied to you on 1/21/20 (due to the weekend/holiday break), so thank you for your patience. Your account has been put on a do not promote list and removed from all emails. Do you mind elaborating on your experience? What was "not" working when you attempted to unsubscribe from our emails? I ask you this so that we can prevent an experience like this in the future. If you have time to reply, we would greatly appreciate it!

Investorplace is a sloppy organization and an embarassment to the industry.
Their ill-informed and poorly researched articles, such as the hit pieces targeting AMRN, are written by some of the lowest rated analysts and amateur financial bloggers I have ever seen. What is their agenda?....This is obviously market manipulation, whole-heartedly embraced by Investorplace...Wake up people!

InvestorPlace Media Response • Jan 13, 2020

Hello Joseph - thank you for the feedback. We do see that you have access to Louis Navellier's Growth Investor (paid through May 2020). It appears you are referring to some of the articles we publish at InvestorPlace.com so I wanted to address that part of your statement.
InvestorPlace Media prides itself on the quality of its staff and the financial analysis we provide. Investing is hard enough even with good information and informed opinions at your disposal, and we strive to be part of the solution for individual investors — not part of the problem.
That is why all of our editorial staff works together to enforce strict publishing standards, be those staffers full-time newsletter advisers or occasional freelance contributors. On Ownership Disclosures: Everyone at InvestorPlace Media is passionate about stocks and the market, and we often have some skin in the game. Because of this fact, we do not prohibit authors from writing about stocks they personally own. However, we do demand all writers disclose their positions or other conflicts of interest. Thanks to the prohibitions on penny stocks as outlined above and a general focus on covering billion-dollar companies trading millions of shares a day, it is highly unlikely our writers will move the market because of their commentary. But all the same, we know we owe it to our readers to be honest about a writer’s personal position in any stocks he or she covers.

On Our Differing Opinions: InvestorPlace strives for fact-based commentary, but we also traffic in actionable market advice. That means as long as the writers make their case logically, we may publish two articles on the same stock where one encourages you to buy and the other encourages you to sell. We also encourage our authors to change their minds on a trade when the facts also change. We strive to provide all sides of the trade, not simply one side.
Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email or call our team M-F 9am-5pm EST. 800-219-8592 / [email protected].

Have a great rest of your week!

I have been receiving multiple promotional emails that I have not signed up for. I tried to unsubscribe several times from the links at the bottom of the emails but it didn't work. Could you please take me off your list? I do not wish to receive any correspondence from InvestorPlace through any communication media.

InvestorPlace Media Response • Jan 08, 2020

Hello - Thank you for passing this information along. We apologize that you were attempting to unsubscribe, but that feature was not working. I am reporting this to my tech team for further review. I have removed all free E-letters from your account. Please allow 24 hours for all emails to discontinue. We appreciate your patience in this matter.

If there are any additional questions or issues, please feel free to contact my team M-F 9am-5pm EST. / [email protected]

Hello Len -
I want to apologize for your experience. I have confirmed with our IT department that your email has been shut down.. with no emails going out to you. Are you still experiencing emails coming to your AOL address? Again, thank you for your patience. I do see that you emailed our team to have those emails turned off. I am currently investigating why you were still receiving those emails for a few weeks after your original request.

They claim you have to wait for 60 days to one year for a refund when I called the customer service also I spoken to a Tyler customer relations dept and he claims I will get a refund on my credit card If I wait until December

InvestorPlace Media Response • Dec 06, 2019

Hello-

I want to first say that InvestorPlace has closed this account for *** as we have accepted his dispute/chargeback that was placed. He should be receiving a refund from his Credit Card company for the purchase. Below you will find a full account overview.

*** first joined InvestorPlace (specifically the *** Investment Opportunities membership) on 9/18/2019 for $49. This membership is good for one year and did not offer a refund policy, unless we did not allow our readers to see at least 100% gains on 5 separate occasions. If in fact we did not hit that guarantee, we would be more than happy to issue a full refund (to all members). Fortunately, (and this is our goal), we did hit our guarantee and we did allow subscribers to see 100% gains on (more than) 5 separate occasions. We first heard from *** on 9/19 (day after ordering) to help the subscriber with Investment Opportunities questions.

The next contact we had was on 9/20/19 where *** called our team to ask for a refund. We did inform him of the refund policy and our guarantee. On 9/28/19 we received word from our accounting team that *** had disputed/chargeback on the $49 with his credit card. The next time we spoke (11/1/19), *** called to verify that he was still not eligible for a refund and that he did dispute the charge. *** then talked to a Manager (Tyler) on 11/25/19 where Tyler offered to still issue one time exception (refund) even if *** lost the dispute with his card company. In that call, Tyler notified *** that he would call him on the 90thday of that dispute (once its settled) and still refund him. That callback date was scheduled for 12/26/19. Unfortunately, *** did not allow the time to pass for the dispute to settle, and submitted this Revdex.com, even thought InvestorPlace was offering to issue him a full refund, we just had to hear back from the card company for this to be settled. On 12/5/19 Tyler talked with his team and confirmed that we have resolved the dispute and *** “won” his chargeback so he was awarded the refund. His account has been cacnelled and shut down.

Below are details pulled directly from the promotion, order form, and confirmation email that specifically outline the trial offer for this membership. As you will see, we are very clear (3 separate occasions on what the offer entails).

The promotion:
You must stay with me a full 12 months to experience 100% gains on at least 5 separate occasions…
If you don’t think it’s the single most valuable financial resource you’ve ever had access to…
I’ll refund every penny of your membership.

Terms below order form:
By clicking the “Place My Order” button above you are agreeing to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, to receive our promotional emails and your subscription to ***’s Investment Opportunities will automatically renew on an annual basis after your initial term until you cancel. Upon renewal for your Investment Opportunities subscription we will charge you $49, $89, or $99 depending on the membership level you order (plus any applicable taxes) to your payment method on file. Your subscription is not eligible for a refund. However, if you don’t see 100% gains on five separate occasions in the model portfolio after one year of service, you can receive a full refund. You may cancel your subscription by clicking here or by contacting our Customer Service team at or by emailing [email protected]. To cancel without incurring an automated renewal charge, you must do so one-day prior to the renewal date.. You will receive an email reminder before your subscription is automatically renewed.

I have inquired about my refund with Investor Place few times for an unauthorized charge on my credit of $149. I have been waiting for the last five months now. In February I had called Investor Place about a charge of $149 on my credit card from January 09, 2019 when I saw it on my credit card statement. Description for that charge on my credit card statement is IPM INVESTOR PLACE MEDIA something that I did not authorize. I had spoken to IPM customer service by calling *** in February 2019 and I was told a refund will be processed and it might take 8 – 10 weeks. As of today, after over 6 months, I am still waiting for this refund.
I have contacted IPM via e-mail and I was told that they have no record of me calling them so money will not be refunded. This is improper and unethical business practice by IPM and I really wish Revdex.com can put a stop to this type of activities by IPM.

InvestorPlace Media Response • Sep 26, 2019

Hello *** -

Thank you for reaching out to InvestorPlace. We have decided to make a one time exception and issue a full $149 refund back to your card. This officially closes down your InvestorPlace account to prevent any future billings/charges. You no longer have an active subscription.

We did not see any calls to our business in the months that you had the newsletter after searching both phone records on file. We are happy to still search for that record if you have a different number to test. With that said, our team also never says a refund could take 8-10 weeks... that is not standard practice. We mention to all clients that a refund (to a credit card) could take 3-5 business days (and up to 7-10 at most, depending on the card provider).

We apologize that you had this experience and wish we could have spoken to you sooner.

Thank you

I gave them my credit card number for a $30 subscription to investment information about Vanguard. They sent me the information. It said to buy Vanguard funds which are closed to new investors. I was not impressed but I figured they sent what they said they would so it was my fault I ordered something I wished I would not have. As far as I was concerned, that was the end of it. They started sending me multiple e-mails per day. I blocked them on my phone. Then a couple of months later I see a charge on my credit card for $200. I *** the info and found out it was these guys. I went to their web site and they had a line that said if you happen to notice an unexpected charge on your credit card call this number. I called and talked with a very nice professional man who explained that my $30 got me a free 30 day subscription to some other thing and if I did not cancel it I would then automatically pay $200 per year. I told him I wanted nothing to do with their company, I wanted unsubscribed and that I wanted a $200 refund. He said no problem, I would get unsubscribed and get a credit on my credit card. I got neither. I called my credit card company and told them I should not have been billed the $200. They issued a conditional credit. Later they reversed it because the company says that when I placed the $30 order I agreed to their terms and conditions and all of this is in the fine print of their terms and conditions. I called them back and told them what I think of them and asked them if I was still subscribed. They said I was and was about to be billed additional money. I forget the amount. I told them to unsubscribe me and cancelled my credit card. I attached one of the e-mails the credit card company sent me. They sent me a final notice by mail and I was so mad I threw it in the trash. Later I decided to file this complaint.

InvestorPlace Media Response • Aug 29, 2019

Hello ***,

Thank you for contacting InvestorPlace. I first want to say that I am sorry for any misunderstanding on what was originally purchased. Below I will review the original terms (not in small print) that were part of both our Order Form and Confirmation email. We are in the business of helping our clients with our financial research. We never like to hear of an experience like this. With that said, we do explain all details in our order forms and confirmation emails, so that there is no confusion. Again, I do apologize for any misunderstanding. Some brief history on your purchase: The original order was placed 3/21/19 for $34.05 (Independent Adviser for Vanguard Investors). That offer included paying for 3 months (1 quarter) and getting 3 additional months free (6 months in total). This offer also includes our Vanguard Fund Analyzer (this is an amazing tool that allows clients to get additional research/information on the Vanguard funds). After the 30 day free trial is up (if we are not notified prior) then you are charged $199 for the full year. This $199 charge took place on 4/20/19. I do want to say that Vanguard (the company) can close funds at any point.

With that said, we have multiple portfolios for our subscribers in the Vanguard membership that include buy price/performance/return/and much more! If you ever wish to re-subscribe, please feel free to contact our team. We will gladly walk you through everything. It looks like we never received a call to review what all you had access to.. only a cancelation request.

I attempted two phone calls today to reach you and offer a full $199 refund for the misunderstanding, but was unable to contact you. Please reach out and ask for Tyler at . I will gladly refund the $199 back to your credit card.

Thank You

I have been receiving many emails from InvestorPlace on a daily basis. Each email has two links at the bottom of the email labelled. as follows.
If your email address has changed, go here.
To subscribe or unsubscribe, go here.

It doesn't matter if you click the go here for an email address change or to unsubscribe. The resulting web page is an advertisement for "***".

There is no way to unsubscribe from any of the emails received from InvestorPlace.

This is a totally dishonest and sleazy. The public should not be subjected to these kind of deceitful scams. There is no way to unsubscribe in the email which is in violation of the CAN-SPAM Act.

For months, I have tried to get off the InvestorPlace.com promotional email list. Thus far, I have gone through the typical unsubscribe process, but that did not work. I have also sent multiple emails to both [email protected] and [email protected] kindly asking to be unsubscribed, but that also did not work. Lastly, I sent the promotional emails back to the sender with a message "Please unsubscribe me," but that too did not work. I am still receiving promotional emails and I am at my wits end with this company. Stay away from InvestorPlace!

Hello *** -

Thank you for contacting InvestorPlace. I want to take a second and apologize if you unsubscribed, yet the emails continued coming to you. I sent in a support ticket to our IT department to investigate which emails were coming out to you and to make sure everything is shut off. Typically when our clients unsubscribe or email/call our team to have that done, it is done within 24 hours. I apologize that this did not happen in your case.

Thank you

On May 9th I signed up for a no risk guarantee membership with Investor Place not satisfied with the membership, based on the fact that they did not provide what they indicated they would so I decided to cancel. I called the toll free number provided and spoke with a representative named Jordan who pretty rude and advised me that I could cancel but would not receive a refund, and after attempting to explain that my welcome email clearly states this subscription has a 30 day full refund period, he insisted that wasn't the case. I discontinued call and sent an email to the email address provided only to be told that I would need to call to cancel. I called back and spoke with Kaleigh who also advised me that I could cancel and would not receive a refund. I then advised her to cancel and I would file a complaint against their company. This company appears to deal in bait and switch tatics. They sign you up having you believe there is no risk and once you want to cancel you are told no refund will be issued. Matthew M is supposed highly regarded in the investment industry he should be ashamed to be running what I can only call a scam. I hope this complaint helps others avoid my mistake.

InvestorPlace Media Response • May 20, 2019

Hello ***-

Thank you for reaching out to InvestorPlace and for giving Matt M’s Investment Opportunities a chance.

I will first review the account for ***, and then review our refund policy related to this promotion. Mr. first joined our company (InvestorPlace) when he signed up for our editor Matt Ms Investment Opportunities. That order was placed on 5/8/2019 for $99. We then received multiple calls from Mr. to cancel on 5/13/2019. Our representatives did inform the client that we could cancel, but that the service did not offer a refund policy until the end of the first year of service, and only if we do not see 1000% gains for our recommendations.

This is a pretty generous offer that would allow subscribers to use the service for a full year and if we did come up short and they do not see at least 1000% gains in the model portfolio, they will receive a full refund.

The confirmation email (sent to anyone that subscribes), says:
“As a reminder, your subscription to Matt M’s Investment Opportunities will automatically renew on an annual basis after your initial term until you cancel. Upon renenwal for your Investment Opportunities subscription we will charge you $49, $89, or $99 depending on what membership level you order (plus any applicable taxes) to your payment method on file. Your subscription is not eligible for a refund. However if you don’t see 1,000% gains in the model portfolio after one year of service, you can receive a full refund. You may cancel your subscription at any time by clicking here or by contacting our Customer Service team at or by emailing ***. To cancel without incurring an automated renewal charge, you must do so one-day prior to the renewal date. Annual subscribers will receive an email reminder before their subscription is automatically renewed. I’m so excited to have you on board for the profitable journey ahead!”
As you can see, we stated that we would offer a full refund, but not until the end of the subscription year.
Unfortunately, we are not able to issue a refund for this publication, as this is the same trial period for all subscribers.
We are happy to reinstate the membership so that Mr. can have the year that he paid for, and if at that time he does not see the 1000% gains (end of his 1st year), we will gladly issue a full $99 refund.
Please let me know or call our Member Services team at .
Thank you!

I am rejecting this response because:

I am rejecting this response because:The email I received clearly states I have 30 days for a refund, and based on this written document which I am more than willing to provide the Revdex.com with. Based on the numerous complaints regarding this same issue it’s obvious that this company is not clearly communicating their refund policy. Please allow me to send a copy of the email I received to support my complaint and to clearly show this company is not being truthful.Regards

InvestorPlace Media Response • May 21, 2019

Hello ***-

I just left a voicemail for you to apologize for this mistake.

Thank you for your thorough investigation into this. My marketing team is taking every initiative to make sure our subscribers do not run into a similar situation like this. Bottom line is that you received the wrong confirmation email. This membership does not have a 30 day refund option because of the amount of stocks available to the clients. I would like to again apologize for this mistake and let you know that InvestorPlace has issued a full $99 refund back to your credit card. This can take up to 3-5 business days to appear on your online statement.

There will be no additional charges on your account, unless you decide to re-subscribe with InvestorPlace. The only item you will see on your statement is a refund. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me directly. I left my name/number on the voicemail.

Thanks again for your patience and working with us.

I apologize for the experience you have had and wish you the best.
