InvestorPlace Media Reviews (%countItem)

I had signed up for this service last year probably in june of 2018. I subsequently cancelled the service by calling them. They then continued to charge me $59.00 per month for the service even after I called them a spoke to a representative and she agreed to cancel. So I have been charged again and want the service cancelled because I have no idea what they are providing and cannot seem to get a clear answer out of them. I think they are a scam outfit that are collecting fee automatically even thought I have already cancelled the service.

InvestorPlace Media Response • May 08, 2019

Hello ***-

Thank you for contacting InvestorPlace about this charge. I left a voicemail on your phone this morning, so please feel free to contact me directly if you wish to further discuss. I want to apologize for this mistake! I am truly sorry for the error and the multiple charges that took place on your account. We appreciate your interest in this monthly trading service when you initially subscribed and on the other hand, we are sorry to hear that this was your experience. Shortly after you subscribed, the analyst had to go into the hospital and did not deliver trades during the month of October. We decided to add a free month to your account, since we did not fulfill our promise of making trades that month... and unfortunately, a technical error occurred and we charged you for that month and then continued to renew the service, even though you asked to cancel. We have a new Member Services team/department that is here to help and make sure these types of errors do not occur.

I want to confirm that we have refunded the 7 charges that should not have occurred on your account. The total refund is $413.00.

You will receive this within 3-5 business days.

Again, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email or call us with any future questions. This is a confirmation that you will not receive any future billings from InvestorPlace, just a refund.

I have sent NUMEROUS unsubscribe messages to this company to no avail. They have all been ignored. I DO NOT WANT TO RECEIVE FROM THIS COMPANY.

InvestorPlace Media Response • Apr 25, 2019

Hello ***,

Thank you for contacting us. I searched our system and have no record of any email coming in to our Member Service Department ([email protected]). I'm not sure if you were emailing the free daily emails back directly (as they have an auto-response in place to tell you to contact at the "Feedback" email)... so I apologize if that is what was happening. In any event, I have asked my IT Director to completely remove your email from our system so that you do not receive any future emails. Please allow 24 hours for this to take effect.

Thank you for your patience and your readership.

We wish you the best. If you ever need anything, please feel free to contact us directly at [email protected] or (M-F 9-5 EST).

Thanks

My name is *** and I did subscribe to their stock recommendation for $19.95 per month. I notified the service to cancel my subscription due to uneven results and a quadruple price increase to $79.95. They did credit me for termination of service. Any help you provide in this matter would be appreciated.

Thanks

InvestorPlace Media Response • Mar 28, 2019

Hello ***-

Thank you for your feedback in regards to the Power Options Weekly membership. We are sorry to hear that you did not wish to continue with the membership. Our Options trading service is non-refundable after the first 30 days, since it comes with a monthly charge and there are so many options plays involved. You originally started the service on 2/15/19 with a $19.95 entrance price for a 30 day trial. After the trial ends, the additional (normal monthly fee) continues for $79.95 (unless we are notified otherwise). With that said, we were not notified that you wished to discontinue the membership until 3/19/19 (4 days after the $79.95 charge took place).

With all of that said, since this is your first purchase with InvestorPlace, we think its best that we part as friends. We have decided to make a one-time exception and issue a full $79.95 refund back to your credit card. That refund is leaving our office today and will appear within 3-5 business days to your account. If you have any questions, please email or call our Customer Serivce team directly at . You do not have any active (paid) subscriptions at this point so your account has been closed down.

Just as a heads-up, we have an Open Positions page on the website with new trades that started in March. Yes, there are a few options trades that are down, but also several ones that have positive gains so far.

Thank you for your readership and giving our service an attempt.

At 9. March 2019 I joined to "Growth Investor" at "Investorplace". As an upsell they offered me during the subscription process a "full lifetime membership" for $248. This should be with "no-question-asked-30-day's-money-back-guarantee"! But it doesn't need "30-days" to me to determine, that such subscription was not for me: Since I've been subscribed, my email-inbox beguns to "boil over" with advertising-spam from "Investorplace" and I saw, that the decisive reason for them is to place upsells over upsells to their subscribers ... .

Therefore I've cancelled my subscription and demanded the money back already at 17. March to their email-adresses "reply-fe***@exct.investorplace.com" and "subscriber@***.com" and for addition also via "contact" in their member-area.

Because I've got no reaction from them, I repeatet the same procedure also at 20. March 2019.

But already till today, 22. March 2019 I've got no answer from them. So must I fear now, that they will not cancel the subscription and will refund nothing?

InvestorPlace Media Response • Mar 27, 2019

Hello ***-

We appreciate your feedback. This is a confirmation that we responded to your email twice on 3/25/19. We cancelled your subscription to the Growth Investor for a full $248 refund. As mentioned in our confirmation email, this refund can take 5-7 business days to appear on your card. The membership does include a few of our free daily emails that comment on the market conditions, our company updates, as well as other publications that we have that may fit your investing style. For future notice, if you decide that you do not want any of the additional daily emails, you can always unsubscribe or email our team to turn those off. Again, your service was cancelled on 3/25/19 and fully refunded. There are no additional services/emails coming to you as your account has been closed down.

Thank you

I signed up for the maximum options and weekly options services with Ken Tr*** for about $70 in total. The advertising showed many profitable trades and had a good winning percentage. After I signed up for the services I saw the track record and they had mostly losing trades many at 100% losses. I requested a refund right after I saw these results. My refund request was denied.

InvestorPlace Media Response • Mar 25, 2019

Hello *** –

Thank you for your feedback. Your account includes two services (Power Options Weekly and Maximum Options Weekly). Both of these memberships are non-refundable as they include monthly charges. Your renewals were turned off per your request (phone call) on 3/18/19. You last purchased the Power Options Weekly on 6/2/2017, and called on 6/5/2017 for $0 (as this was a non-refundable service at that point as well). These two services have a focus on options (Puts/Calls) and as with any service related to the market, come with some risk. For the Power Options Weekly service, we currently have 7 positive trades out of 12 and Maximum Options, we have 8 positive trades. With that said, there are trades that not currently in the positive (and have a negative return). That said, we do look to maximize our winners and that is why we give the clients the option to view this membership and see if it’s the right fit for them. This specific promotion included a $19.95 (4 week) trial and would have charged $79.95/monthly if not cancelled within the first 4 weeks (which you did cancel to prevent that $79.95 charge). Another part of this promotion was a $49 payment for 1 month (plus 1 free – 2 months total) for Maximum Options. This service is also $79 per month as part of this promotion (but again, this auto-renew was cancelled when you called in). Unfortunately, these two services are non-refundable as we have multiple open trades and these are options trading services, so there is no refund applicable at this time. Your Power Options Weekly will expire on 4/14/19. The Maximum Options Weekly will expire on 5/14/19. So, you will have plenty of time to review future trades, and follow the service to see how some of our trades play out. Thank you for your business over the years. We are sorry to see you go with this service, but thank you for your understanding.
Tell us why here...

On February 10, 2018, I paid a subcription to *** Investor for their investment newsletter in the amount of $119.95 through my *** Credit Card. It is a Mileage Plus CC through United Air Lines.
Then on March 11, 2018 there was a charge of $179 to credit card that I overlooked because I was going through medical/dental procedure in California.
On June 9, 2018, another charge was made to the same credit card by IPM for $179. Again, I overlooked this charge because of my health condition.
Then on Sept 9, 2018 another charge of $179 appeared on my credit card statement.
On Dec 9, 2018, I found another charge of $179 which I reported to my credit card that is unathorized.
This trigger my review of all my charges for the year because I was preparing to work on my 2018 income tax.
The security personnel at *** took care of my complaints and reversed the charge of $179 that IPM refused to reverse.
Consequently, the company has overcharged me in the amount of $537 for the total unauthorized charges for the month of March, June, and September 2018.
I am shocked that this reputable company takes advantage of elderly investors like me. Please help me recover my unathorized charge of $537. Thank you

InvestorPlace Media Response • Mar 18, 2019

Hello ***-

Thank you for contacting our company. We hope that you did have a good recovery from your procedure. We are sorry to hear that these charges caught you off guard as you have been with InvestorPlace on and off with different purchases since 2015. It is never our intention to have these charges catch someone by surprise.

Looking over your account activity, you originally purchased the *** Investor for $119.95. This service comes with a 30 day trial to *** Sector Investor (as these two services go hand-in-hand). After your 30-day trial expired, the first $179 charge took place (as noted) on March 10, 2018. The next quarterly charge took place on June 9 2018, followed by the 3rd quarterly charge on September 9 2018. The final quarterly charge hit on December 9, 2018. This was the final charge on your account because we received a phone call on January 29, 2019 asking to cancel the service. At that time, we also received your notice to dispute the most recent (December 9th $179) charge. You were awarded that dispute and a refund took place ($179). Our quarterly charges are non-refundable. Some of our trial periods do have a 30 day trial period, but not the quarterly ones. So, unfortunately, we cannot go back and refund the charges from March, June, September as they happened so long ago and we never received notification to stop/cancel those. If you call our customer service team (800-219-8592) we would be happy to add a new 1 year subscription to your account if you are interested in receiving our recommendations, but we are not able to issue a refund at this time. Again, we understand that you were having a procedure, but we are not able to go back and refund charges so long ago (in some cases over a year old)… but we would like to offer you a free 1 year subscription (that fits in the price range of your charges) of your choice. We removed the automatic renewal from your account on 1/29/19 (when we first heard from you)… and this service cancelled successfully on 3/9/19. The only remaining service that you have is the *** Investor (which you originally paid $119.95 for on 2/9/18). This service is going to expire on 2/9/21 with no automatic renewal. If you have any questions about this service or want to take us up on our offer, please call our Customer Service team M-F 9am-5pm EST.

Thank you

InvestorPlace Media Response • Apr 04, 2019

Hello ***,

I apologize for any confusion on my end. We have your subscription to *** Investor expiring on 2/9/2021.

There are no active renewals on your account (no future charges). The only active service (with the renewal turned off) is the *** Investor. If you have any additional questions, please contact our customer service team M-F (9-5 EST).

Again, I do apologize if I mis-understood anything and am happy to further assist if you can please clarify your question.

Thank you.

All of these investors is a hoax to buy publication after publication. When I signed up I was told that I would get weekly recommendations or when a stock was hot or cold of when to buy and when to sell. I have never gotten even one recommendation. All you get are enticements to buy more publications. Do not get sucked into this con job. These like Matt M are publicists not stock brokers. Every email you get is a day long video that isn't worth a crap. Do not fall for this hoax.

Hello Mr. Schneider -
Thank you for your comments. We do appreciate feedback (good or bad). We attempted to reach out to you today (by phone) to look into these 'issues' of not receiving the paid content and alerts. Since you have subscribed to Investment Opportunities (2/11/19), we have sent (emailed) two BUY alerts and one SELL alert for our recommendations. We have a GETTING STARTED GUIDE that allows you to view our newsletter a little more in depth: https://investmentopportunities.investorplace.com/getting-started-guide/. As a subscriber, you also have access online to our latest portfolio, with a large list of recommendations, buy prices, current price, and comments (including our Cannabis Calendar). With most of our subscription based services, we offer a few daily E-letters that keep subscribers 'in the know' with our daily market commentary, and we include some of our latest services with special pricing for current members (like yourself). If at any point aclient wants to unsubscribe from one of those emails, they can do so online or by contacting our Customer Service department (by phone: *** or email: *** - M-F 9AM- 5PM). Matt M is one of our top analysts with a great track record... We will attempt to reach you again today to review this information on your account, as well as to help you get logged in and see the material! We look forward to helping you get back on a positive track with our service. And, of course if this is not the right service for you, we always look to part as friends.

Continuous ads unsolicited. When I ask to be unsubscribed, they say submitted, but they never stop.

InvestorPlace Media Response • Feb 04, 2019

Hello ***.

Thank you for reaching out to InvestorPlace. I have sucessfully placed your account on a DNP (do not promote) list. I have also globally unsubscribed your email from our promotions/free daily emails. We apologize for any confusion and the continuous emails you were receiving. I also left a voicemail for you today letting you know our Customer Service phone number so that if you have any issues or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. I searched your phone number and email address through our system, but did not see any records to discontinue your emails. I do see however you unsubscribed from the individual letters. You were signed up for several free E-letters, so there is a slight chance that some of these were not unsubscribed from. Again, we apologize for any mistakes. If you have any questions, please feel free to call our Customer Service team at . We are open M-F 9am - 5pm Eastern Time.

Thank you

I signed up for a trial to Power Options Weekly. Upon receiving my log in and access to the site, I reviewed, and discovered, that this particular service has achieved a negative performance summary for the previous 5 years. Not one year has achieved a positive return. This of course was not disclosed or made transparent in the sales promotion. Within 30 hours of signing up, I requested a refund and to cancel the 3 week trial immediately. I sent in the supporting documentation of this performance. They did not cancel the service or process a refund. They asked that I call in, which I did, which they recited the no refund policy, and reminded me of all the positive recommendations in 2018. She was not aware that the negative recommendations out numbered the positive ones, thus resulting in a negative total for the year. Just as all the years preceding 2018.
This is terribly deceitful and I think a disgrace and injustice to everyone they market this service too.

Just saw I was charged twice 200.34 on 05/18,2018 and 199.00. on 06/17/2018. Never ordered and never received any thing for these charges. Tried to call phone # and can't get on phone . I would never order this investment info. Want credit back and removed from their records. NEVER charge me for unordered info.

InvestorPlace Media Response • Jan 24, 2019

Thank you for reaching out to InvestorPlace regarding these charges on your account.

Below will be an account overview for ***:

*** first called in on 5/22/18 and spoke to our representative Manny in regards to these charges. He called and said “I had responded to an offer for 2 years…” The conversation continued and he said “I want to verify that you have my subscription for 2 years.” Our representative Manny did verify the account information, including the charge.

*** called our customer service team to ask about these charges on 1/22/19. The rep reviewed the charges with the client and helped him log in to the website. Client logged in to view the membership. *** did claim that he did not sign up for the membership, but these were both online orders. The rep did confirm that it was an online order back in 2018. He did mention that he did not want to renew the subscription after its term (which the rep Melissa did remove the auto-renew feature so that the subscription will expire in May 2020).

The charge that took 1 month later for $199, was one that *** did not intend to happen. We certainly understand that and after speaking with *** today (1/24/19) we have issued a full $199 refund back to his credit card on file. He will receive that refund back within 3-5 business days. *** has been with InvestorPlace for a number of years (on and off) and we are happy to help him with this situation.

I didn’t purchase this item. Haven’t received any material or products from them, just a charge on my ***.

InvestorPlace Media Response • Jan 07, 2019

Hello Deb-

Thank you for contacting InvestorPlace. This was a renewal for your Growth Investor Membership. Your account originally started on 12/10/17 for $49. This was a renewal for the second year of service. Unfortunately, we have not heard from you to cancel renewal or to prevent the renewal of this year. This is the reason the renewal still went through for 2018-2019 year. With that said, I have successfully issued a full refund to your account. You will receive this back to your credit card within 3-5 business days. I also left a voicemail for you letting you know that you can email or call our Customer Service team () at any point (M-F 9AM-5PM EST) if you have any questions about this. Thank you.

InvestorPlace

I am writing to express my disappointment in you *** service. I spoke with Tyler who refused to refund our unused subscription which ends 2/20. I cancelled the subscription.

It says on the renewal sheet: Yes ***, that your NO RISK guarantee says if I’m ever not completely satisfied with my membership, I can cancel and receive a full refund on the remaining balance.

This is false advertising at best; the idea that you would take advantage of elderly investors is shameful.

InvestorPlace Media Response • Jan 07, 2019

Hello ***-

Thank you for taking the time to provide this example (attachment). We are no longer running this offer (our new policy is 30 day refund periods for this type of service). With that said, we will happily honor this promotional (attachment) that you sent in. To hopefully part as friends, we would like to offer a full $59 refund for you. Since this charge was over a year ago (and InvestorPlace migrated over to a new system), we no longer have your card information on file. We are going to issue a full $59 refund by check. The check will mail out tomorrow (January 8, 2018) and be sent to the following address: *** Mequon, WI. ***. This check is being sent from our Baltimore, MD office, so may take a few additional business days (by mail). If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email or call our Customer Service team.

More than 6 times I clicked the unsubscribe links at the end of the promotional emails, but they kept coming. More than 6 times I called Customer Service to request that they unsubscribe me from all promotional emails, but they kept coming. Hello ***-

Thank you for reaching out to InvestorPlace with this concern. This is not the way we want to conduct business and I do apologize for the experience that you have had. It should be a simple request to stop promotional emails, and in your case, something was not working properly and it was not happening. Again, I do apologize and agree that calling/contacting our business this many times should not have been necessary. I have added a free year to the Independent Advisor for ***. There is no renewal, as this is completely free of charge. Your email is on a DNP for promotions, so please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly (call our main line and ask for Tyler (or email) ) and I will be glad to investigate/assist you with any questions you have at that time. If you receive any promotional emails for some reason, please let me know. You should not be receiving any promotional emails at this point.

Thank you for your patience. If there is anything else we can do, please let me know.

On or about November 25 I received an email solicitation to subscribe to an investment advisory called Accelerated Profits. The solicitation offered a quarterly service for $699.00 and an annual service for $2,500 (I think)It also said "No Risk". There were no details about what "No Risk" meant. I called the firm the next day and asked about the No Risk provision. Spoke to a man named Brooke who confirmed that it meant a 30 day cancellation policy. So I subscribed to the quarterly service for $699 on November 28 and paid with a credit card. After a couple of weeks I determined that the service wasn't for me. I called to cancel today, December 12. After some discussion with the rep. he told me there was no 30 day refund policy for the quarterly service, only the annual service. I explained that there was no differentiation between quarterly and annual subscriptions relating to No Risk, and that I had confirmed the refund with Brooke. I asked to speak to Brooke and he told me no one by that name works for the firm anymore. Very convenient. He held firm with the not refund me. So that is my complaint.

Hello ***-

Thank you for taking the time to write this.
I want to first apologize for not following through with your original requests. It is our duty as an organization to make sure we follow-through with the subscribers request, even if they wish to stop receiving our material. I want to say thank you for your patience. I have brought this to the attention of my Support Team. We have placed your email on a Do Not Promote list, and removed you from any future free emails/promotional emails. I did notice that you have two emails on file. I attempted to call you today to confirm the email that you were receiving information to as the one on file is (generaleffect@***.com). In any event, I have added both emails (the one above) and the one that you added to this Revdex.com to our DNP lists to put a stop to all emails that you are receiving. Again, we do apologize for any headache that this may have caused. This is not the type of experience that we want from our clients. You will not receive any future contact from InvestorPlace. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention and for your patience.

Hello ***-

We apologize for any confusion on the previous response. Please see the updated one below:

Hello ***-
Thank you for taking the time to write this. The service that you purchased (Accelerated Profits) is a non-refundable program due to the nature of the program and recommendations. With that said, we took a moment to review a call with one of our representatives (Brook) on 11/26/18. On that call, there was some confusion on the representatives part where he told you that we would honor a 30 day refundable period. When you contacted our company on 12/12/18 to make that cancellation request (inside your 30 days), our representative Jeff let you know that this is a non-refundable program. Jeff is correct in this case. This is a non-refundable program. With that said, and after speaking to you today, we agreed to honor that original (mistake) word and issue a full $699 refund to you. That refund will leave our office today (12/13/18) and take up to 3-5 days to appear on your credit card. I do apologize for the confusion around this matter.

Thank you for taking the time today to speak with me. I appreciate your patience. Again, this is a confirmation that we have issued a full $699 refund for the errors.

I am filing a complaint related to excessive and unwanted solicitations from InvestorPlace Media. I wrote [email protected] on November 13 and never received a reply. I am a subscriber to two of the company's publications, but I have made concerted efforts to opt out of any communications from the company except for receiving my subscriptions via mail and e-mail. Unfortunately, despite numerous attempts dating now back to April 25, 2017 (I have saved e-mail correspondence to document my complaints and requests and the company's responses), I continue to receive unwanted communication from the company. I have also made complaints several times over the phone, but these have also not been successful in eliminating unwanted solicitations. Most recently, beginning on or around December 9, I have been receiving e-mails from the CEO Brian H. For example, one titled "Why This Week Could be The Most Important Week of Your Entire Investment Life." Within the message is says: "You are receiving this message because you opted in to receive information about our upcoming campaigns from InvestorPlace." This could not be any further from the truth. I have wasted massive amounts of time trying to stop receiving solicitations and e-mails from InvestorPlace. Typically what I have noticed is they will stop for a short while (week or two) after I file a complaint, and then begin again. I absolutely did not deliberately opt in to receive any solicitations and should never have received the last set of solicitations from Brian H. I am truly disappointed with my experience as a customer with InvestorPlace. My father signed me up for a subscription to help me learn more about investing. The headache that has ensued has not been worth the information I have received. I am very concerned either the practices used by this company, or the lack of safeguards and customer service support to properly manage my personal information.

Thank you for taking the time to write in about this issue. We take this very serious and apologize for the headaches that this has caused.

We have taken this to the head of our Support Team and had your email removed from our promotional emails.

You will no longer receive promotional emails from our company. Instead, you will only receive the paid material from Dan W and Neil G. What we would like to offer you is a free year to both services that you have access to. This would extend your subscription date out to January 2020 (at no additional charge). Please just let us know. We have placed a note on your account if you want to email or give us a call . You can also feel free to just respond to this response. I can confirm that you are not to receive any free daily emails, any promotional emails, and also that your email has been added to a block on the promotional lists so that this does not happen in the future. This is a rather short response from our company, and that is because I want to get right to the point. If you do not wish to receive something, then we should honor that request and make that happen. I completely agree with you on this point. If you wish for any additional information or a refund, please feel free to contact our team at your earliest convenience.

Thank you for working with us and for your readership.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I continue to be deluged by e-mail offers from everyone from their CEO Mr. H to other employees or associates such as Lous N and others despite having repeatedly requesting to be unsubscribed from “...All Promotional E-mails...” This outfit always promises to honor my “unsubscribe” request within a few business days, but have thus far failed to do so for months. What kind of business model views repeatedly pestering people who don’t want to hear from you with pitch after pitch?? It’s ridiculous and it needs to stop.

Tell us why here...

We signed up for ***. It was nothing of what he had advertised the site to be. We tried emailing the site over and over with no response. So after calling many times we finally got an answer. Explained we have been trying to get a hold of them through the website. They state they have no records. They state a %100 satisfaction guarantee. We wanted to cancel after the first time going through the site because we were not satisfied. Just want everyone to know that this is a big scam and is nothing what is advertised at all.

I have tried to contact this company by phone calls and emails, I get no answer by any emails and no answer or return calls by phone. There service is pass being useless because if you ask for help you get no response from anyone there. The Service that is given has no backing because other professionals look at the emails that Maximun Options are sent out and make no sense to anyone. The service cost is a SCAM to all people, because they take your money and run, with "0" customer service or anyone to talk to about any problems.

On October 26th the customer purchased our Maximum Options Service. Maximum options is a professional grade service which requires a margin account to execute many of the suggested trades. In the interest of settling the complaint we have canceled the subscription and refunded $49 back to the card that was originally charged.

I have written 3 times for them to "UNSCRIBE" me and they keep ending information. This smacks of a dishonest firm.
