Goods picked up late, never delivered, no communication about delivery
I contacted We-Pack on June 22 and chose the company because they said they could accommodate my moving dates. We were moving from Seattle WA to Damascus MD. They provided a pick-up window of June 26 - 29 and said someone would call 1-2 days in advance to let me know the specifics. By June 30, no one had contacted me, and I had to leave the Seattle area. I had to call the company multiple times to get someone to respond. They finally said someone could come pick up on July 2 first thing in the morning. The truck did not arrive until after noon, which meant my sister had to miss an important appointment at work.
I had been told the trip would take 5-10 days. By July 10 I had heard nothing about delivery. I called several times and was always told that the Operations person who answered the phone would call the trucking company and then get back to me. No one ever did. On July 20, the person who answered said that my things had been in storage and that the truck had not started the move!! I asked her to find out when the pick up would occur. I got an email back the same day that read "Carrier will be contact you soon as your shipment will be in route soon. They will contact you once driver is on his way." It is now July 26 and no one has contacted me and I have received no further emails.
I would like definitive dates on which the goods will be picked up at the storage site in Seattle and when they will be delivered in Damascus.
I would also like a significant reduction in price. I have already paid more than 2/3 of the price and have gotten essentially NONE of the agreed upon service.

Desired Outcome

I would like them to provide, in writing, the dates for pick up and delivery. Delivery must be before August 14. I would also like a reduction in price to at least 50% of the original quote, which would include a refund, since I've already paid more than that. I would like my goods delivered without any damage so that I don't have to seek additional compensation.

False advertisement, additional charges to get items delivered when agreed it would be delivered by.
Initial sales member stated we could get our items moved within 2 to 3 days from Virginia to North Carolina less the 350 miles and would arrive on 7/20. When carrier arrived we were told they have to take items back up to Maryland and then if I wanted items by the 7/22(the earliest they could do) I would have to pay an additional $700. When I called We Pack to ask why they informed it was not their problem and that if we want our items sooner than 6 business days, we have to pay that amount. I never would have used them if I knew they couldn't keep their promises and would leave my family stranded without our items for so long. My fiancé and I never had this issue when he was moving with military.

Desired Outcome

Refund of the $700 dollars I was never initially informed I had to pay in order to get my items by the date guaranteed to us.

I was told by Caitlin that they could deliver my furniture before 13th. Driver Tony asked for delivery days 7/1 to 7/12. I will not be there on 7/13.
I was told by that my delivery would be in Maryland before 7/13. My furniture was picked up on 6/28/18. I called on numerous occassion with no satisfactory rsults of where is my furniture. The owner at 8 Miles Moving and Self Storage in Livonia, Michigan told me flat out he did not have time and was too busy and if Caitlin told me that I needed to Call her. I was Cailin with no response and Bianca kept picking up with no answer. Stated she wuld call, but instead sent an email on 7/12/2018 at 4pm with no ETA. After that it just kept going. I called 8 Miles back and asked him could he just deliver on Monday the 16th because I was not there on 13th or 14th of july and Tony wrote my days I was available for delivery on my package. He told me NOPE!!! I CAN CHARGE YOU STORAGE FEES AND REDELIVERY FEES. Ihad paid for a flight on the 7/13 for 170.00 plus dollars to have someone fly to St. Louis and help me drive back to Maryland on 7/13th. I had to change flight plans on Southwest Airline and it cost me an extra 166.00

Desired Outcome

i would like my difference from changing my flights on Southwest.

They will not deliver my furniture
Furniture and belongings. Picked up
Up 6/14/18 order#BXXXXXXX. Gary Zim was my sales rep. Have valley several times they have given me 3 different date which have come and gone still no furniture. I paid cash and also my check for part of it

Desired Outcome

Would like to get my furniture or some of it

We Pack Moving and GTS misled us and overcharged us $3,000 and damaged our Clothes. We Pack Moving and Consumeraffairs.com are not responding.
We-Pack Moving is a broker, not a carrier. Their Rating of 'F' from Revdex.com says it all and are NOT Revdex.com accredited. Please verify this company and all your future moving companies with Revdex.com prior to choosing them. We had a terrible experience with We-Pack Moving and would never recommend anyone to choose them.
We moved from Portland, OR to Maryland this past summer of 2017. After very careful and extensive research, we had several quotes and after speaking with Steven at We-Pack Moving, we decided to proceed with them primarily because of their '5 Star' rating with 'consumeraffairs.com' and their assurance. He never mentioned to us that they were just Brokers. He quoted us $8390 after going over each and every single item that we would take along with us room by room. We paid $3000 deposit. He stated that we wouldn't have to pay anything extra if we went over the limit since we went over everything in detail. Steven also assured us that he would be available to help guide us or answer any Qns we might have along the way, however that was the last we heard of him.
On the day of the move it was an entirely different story. GTS Shipping came by to pick up our stuff and we had no idea these were the carriers and We-Pack did not have anything further with us. After they loaded their moving truck, even though there was enough room in the truck, they said only a certain portion of the Truck is allocated and they can't take anything beyond that unless we paid them extra. They quoted an extra $3000 (total of $11,355 instead of the original quote of $8,390). We had already left a lot of items at home which were included in the Moving company estimate. Once we asked them if they could unload everything and that we would take another carrier, they were charging us a few thousand dollars even to just unload.
In the meantime, we called and emailed We-Pack Moving more than 20 times including leaving Voice Messages without any response. Finally, Nadia answered the phone and stated that she would return my call after discussing with others and never called me back even after I called them multiple times. Myself and my family felt totally abandoned and deceived. Steven was nowhere in the picture and never returned our calls or emails. Richard emailed us and stated that he will have someone look into it but no response. I called Nadia again numerous times and emailed her including the day after the movers delivered our stuff in Maryland but no response till date from any of them.
We spoke with the GTS Shipping workers on the day of the move and then spoke with their boss who did not budge what so ever. The workers especially were rude, using foul language and packed our stuff poorly. There was a lot of space left in the boxes. Over utilized the paper packaging for even small items. They took away our clothes which I had set aside and despite us telling them not to pack them. As soon as we left the area, they dumped all the clothes in the boxes and carried them away. We found this out when we opened the boxes at our final destination. Most of the clothes, including those that were just dry cleaned (pants, shirts etc...) and suit were all just stuffed and got extensively wrinkled as though they were going to be laundered. GTS is one of the worst companies out there. GTS Shipping (aka NW Relocation) has a Revdex.com rating of 'D-' and are not even accredited. Please read their reviews on Revdex.com.
I had to sign a statement after all the packing and the truck was loaded that read: 'I wish to release my shipment to the maximum value of 60 cents per pound per article'. And also 'Shipper hereby releases the entire shipment to a value not exceeding 60 cents per pound per article'. Please be aware of this statement as you're signing your valuables away. We've also filed a complaint with Consumeraffairs.com but they haven't investigated it and stopped responding to my emails for the past 7 months. It's likely consumer affairs.com collects subscription fees from them.

Desired Outcome

Refund of $3,000 which We Pack Moving overcharged.

We-Pack Moving asked us to contact their ce in response to my complaint against them to the Revdex.com. However even after two calls and speaking with two different customer service agents the matter has not resolved as they had stated they will call me back and it's been over a week without a call back yet which is not surprising given their disregard to customer satisfaction.

to Better

We-Pack Moving asked us to contact their ce in response to my complaint against them to the Revdex.com.

However even after two calls and speaking with two different customer service agents the matter has not resolved as they had stated they will call me back and it's been over a week without a call back yet which is not surprising given their disregard to customer satisfaction and unethical business practices.

We were charged double the price of the binding contract. All attempts to settle this have been ignored.
05/20/2018
Our binding estimate was $1965.00; $4,475.80 was the final amount charged (and paid). Attempts to protest the cost after the goods were loaded were ignored by the driver. I was told I would have to contact the main office. However, due to language barrier I was unable to understand why I was being charged so much. All efforts to contact the main office have been ignored.

Desired Outcome

A final charge that is more in keeping with the original estimate and actual goods shipped.

J B Hunt Movers Response • Jun 07, 2018

Sorry to hear you're not satisfied with our service. The only way you could've charged more is if you had more items. Please contact our customer service department so we can get you the BOL detailing all the charges.

Customer Response • Jun 10, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The final number of items recorded were done so without the driver counting the number of boxes/items. When I protested the charge he told me that it would be settled at the place where the items would be stored. All I received was the same count that was on the first record. It was impossible to determine how many boxes and what size by looking at the driver's record. We have decided not to follow this any further as it is the driver's against mine. They have the documents that I signed believing corrections would be made at the storage facilitysilly me! Furthermore all attempts to contact We Pack have been futile which tells me they would rather not be confronted with the truth of the matter. I score them as low as possible as a service provider in the industry.

to me
Dear ***,
Thanks so much for your continued interest in this case. I am sending by attachment the first estimate, the final bill of laden, and the final document at delivery signed by my wife,***. I wish to point out that I contested the final bill at the time the goods were picked up, but the driver who did not speak adequate English to make my concern known, said that it would all be straightened out when the goods were unloaded at the main office. So, I had not choice but to sign the bill of laden hoping it would all be made right later. However, when the goods did arrive on a Sunday *** 20, 2018 (which they said would not happen as they did not work on weekends) the driver demanded payment before unloading the goods. The company had called me on Saturday the day before the delivery and said they would only take cash or a bank checksomething rather difficult to get over the weekend. I was in Poland at the time so my wife had to deal with this. When she requested a box count and accounting of all goods, the driver refused and said he had to goand he did.

I am also attaching the copy of the final bill (*** 20) which was sign by my wife with the notation "Under duress" as she could not get the driver to count the boxes in order to ascertain precisely what had been delivered to us. So her only protest was to sign and note the same. As you can see by this document we were charged with over twice as much as the original price. Absolutely absurd and impossible due to truck size. I might also add that when the goods arrived at our place at *** Road, Nobleboro, Maine there was only the driver. So instead of the larger items being carried through the house, he dragged them scuffing up our tile floor.

To say we are disappointed is an understatement. However, we signed the documents but without any other recourse at the time as we saw it. To refuse the goods on May 20 would have meant paying for the goods to be returned to wherever and pay for storage as wellhardly a serious financial option.

With Regards

I paid We-pack a deposit for a move, because they said they would refund it with adequate notice. They have not responded to my request for a refund.
I signed an agreement (Job No: WXXXXXXX) on 3.12.18 which provided an estimate of $5752.85 from We-pack to move household items on June 14 - 15, 2018. I paid, by bank transfer, a deposit of $2250.66. I was told numerous times that if I decided to cancel the move and provided them enough notice (e.g. one week), that I would get a refund of the deposit. I acknowledge that the contract says 'no refund' and even spoke with the representative, Shawn *** asking him that the contract be amended to permit a refund. He said that he couldn't change the contract, but assured me repeatedly that I would receive a refund if I cancelled with adequate notice. I cancelled the move, by phone, in a phone conversation with him on about March 26, 2018. He told me that refund requests were reviewed and processed by management on the 15th of every month. So I contacted him on April 16th and left a voice mail, and left voice mails two other times in the following two weeks (4/23/18, 4/26/18). I sent an email on 4/27/18. I have not heard back from him from these last four contacts.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund of my deposit, as promised, since I have given appropriate notice.

J B Hunt Movers Response • May 22, 2018

We are very sorry for any confusion regarding the non-refundable deposit. We will have the rep contact you to better explain our deposit policy. FYI- The deposit is good for a 12 months in-case you decide to move forward. Thank you !

Customer Response • May 23, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
There was NO confusion regarding their verbal promises to refund my deposit, including the last time I spoke with the representative. The sales representative stated that my request for a refund would be processed at the 15th of the month. I believe they are lying to customers/potential customers when they say the deposit is refundable, knowing that the written contract states it is not. I fell for the lie, so it's on me. At a minimum, I would like other potential customers to be warned, so they don't lose hard-earned money!

Stole an extra unauthorized $400 from my checking account three weeks ago and still won't give it back.
I authorized We Pack Movers to electronically deduct the $1,000 deposit (which it turns out is just their fee and doesn't go to the moving company they contract with) by ACH from my checking account (stupid on my part for doing this when I know better!). On March 30, 2018 they deducted $1,400 from my checking account. I called them on April 2 and they said it was a mistake and the customer before me was $1,400 (that's a convenient lie). They said they'd contact their Accounting Dept immediately and refund the $400 error. It's now April 19 and after multiple phone calls and emails they still have not given me my $400 back.

We Pack Movers is a SCAM artist moving BROKER, although they will not admit they are a broker. They shouldn't be in business at all! The Sales broker is Caitlin Cato and the Operations woman I've spoken with on the phone and emailed is Vianca.

On April 16 I spoke on the phone with *** who said she'd bring it to her Manager's attention. I emailed their operations dept at: ***@unifiedrelocationsolutions.com and told them they need to immediately refund the $400 they stole from me and I have received no money and no reply back.

Desired Outcome

I just want my money even if they send a check to my new address: *** 1143 SW Barrington Dr, Unit #1 Oak Harbor, WA XXXXX And I'll never have to deal with them again. I already had to put a permanent stop payment on them with my back so that they will never be able to withdraw money from my account.

J B Hunt Movers Response • Apr 27, 2018

We are very sorry! This should've been refunded immediately. We will have it back in your account by Wednesday of next week.

In regards to your other concerns. The contract states 5 times that we are a broker. The deposit is part of the over all price. You move would still cost the same if you would've called a moving company directly. We operate like Orbitz or Expedia.

Customer Response • May 02, 2018

Below is the email I just sent them today along with their emails to me on April 20 (after I filed the complaint with the Revdex.com.
Thank you!

Hello,

Not only have I still not received my $400 back yet, but I haven't received the email that you said I be receiving by Monday from your company bank account.

What's the hold up now? On this coming Monday April 30th it will be exactly one month that you've owed me $400, which you should be paying me the interest I'm losing out on also!

Thank you,

Just to let you know - We Pack Moving finally gave me my $400 back on 5/29/18. So the complaint is considered to be resolved now, although I still stand behind the fact that their rating with the Revdex.com be F-. They are not a reputable company and they've never acknowledged how it took them 2 months to return my money or offered any compensation for the hassle and loss of interest income! I would never recommend or use them in the future!

Thank you for all of your help because I'm sure my complaint with the Revdex.com is the ONLY reason I received my money back!

Regards

They have all my belongings including medicine furniture appliances TVS memorabilia
estimated value over $150k. It has been over 60 days non deliver
This company has stolen all my belongings and is holding it ransom requesting more and more money after I was quoted $3k total and they have been paid over $4k and still will not deliver nor will they tell me where all my belongings are.. im over 70 years old and this company is robbing me of everytihng.

Desired Outcome

i want all my stuff delivered to the address provided according to the contract.

We can not find this person in our system. Please provide a job number. Thank you!

Received quote based on itemized inventory, calculated at 502 cf.) but billed 900 cf. after pick up resulting in ~$1200 more than quoted.
Received binding quote on 3/7/17 for move from Durham NC to Louisville KY based on itemized inventory which was said to be 502 cf. I was billed for 900 cf. after pick up. Original quote provided by ***, We Pack moving brokers at *** (Ref #WXXXXXXX). Total moving estimate was $1870.73 but billed $3080.09 which includes $125 for moving supplies and $75 2nd stop on delivery. I paid $623 at contract and another $623 after pick up to the delivery company. I believe the estimate was intentionally underestimated based on the volume of cargo by We Pack.

Delivery co. is One Way VanLines, ***, Dundalk, MD XXXXX, PH *** (Job Number: OWXXXXXX), and moved by ***. The moving truck arrived for pick up already partially full. Once my cargo was loaded *** stated that my cargo filled half the truck. I had no way to determine if that was accurate, whether it was a half of trunk or not. The move required no additional moving supplies other than plastic wrap and blankets which were included in the moving quote. I should not be charged $125 for moving supplies and the customer service rep *** at One Way Van Lines could not tell me what supplies I was being billed for. Additionally I cancelled the 2nd stop and the extra $75 should have been removed.
One Way Van Lines is asking for $620 payment to bring the remaining balance up to 50% before scheduling delivery. They picked up on 3/29 and I tried reaching the broker *** numerous times since then and have yet to get a call back.
These are unscrupulous tactics and extremely poor customer service by We Pack. The remaining balance is $1834.03 which is double the quoted amount. Based on the items I included in inventory there should be no way that the cost would double. I believe this to be a bait and switch tactic.

Desired Outcome

We Pack provided an estimated quote of $1870 and I budgeted no more than $2000 for the move. *** assured me that it should cover the move and I haven't received a call back yet. One Van Lines is holding my delivery pending an additional $620 before scheduling delivery and I will have to pay another $1214 at delivery. Resolution - We Pack should stick to the contracted price of $1870 minus the packing supply fee of $125 and the cancelled $75 2nd stop delivery fee.

We are sorry you are not happy with our service. The only way you could've been charged more is if you added more items. Please contact our customer service department to resolve the $75 for the extra stop.

Your estimated price is guaranteed not to change unless you order additional services, add additional items. This document is a binding estimate and not a contract. The contract for moving services is the "bill of lading" which is entered into by the customer and the actual moving company (carrier); WP is not a party to that contract. As a properly licensed interstate broker, WP is not a motor carrier and will not transport an individual shipper's household goods, but will coordinate and arrange for the transportation of household goods by an FMCSA authorized motor carrier, whose charges will be determined by its published tariff.

I was told my move would take 2-3 days (9.5 drive hours). When the mover showed up they had me sign a contract that said 1 - 10 days. It has been 12 days and I have contacted 3 different numbers and nobody will tell me when my furniture will be delivered. The continue to say they will get back to me. Not only is this a breach of contract, it is poor business. I wrote a review on their website and they hid it, which is deception.
Product_Or_Service: Furniture Moving Service

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment I want my furniture delivered and to be reimbursed for me staying in a hotel room for 12 days and counting.

J B Hunt Movers Response • Apr 12, 2018

We are very sorry. The contract you signed clearly states the travel time for you move as; XXX - XXXX miles 1-10 business days. We will a cs agent call you today. Thank you!

They quoted us one price and when it came time for them to move us, the price doubled. They lied and said the deposit was refundable, but it is not.
First the representative Caitlin Cato, told us that they wee not a broker, but they actually are. They quoted us one price for $7,800.00 and when it came time for them to move us, the price more than doubled to $16,419. Caitlin lied and said the deposit was refundable, but it is not. When we requested out deposit back, we were told it is 100% non-refundable. This company is very dishonest. We told them the size of our home, square footage, and went room by room over every detail of our home by phone. Caitlin gave us a price of $7,800.00, but when the actual moving company called "Moving On" came out to move us, the price more than tripled tp $16,419. We tried to call Caitlin several times over 3 days, but she never returned our calls. We talked to another representative and then a manager, but they refused to refund us our deposit. Very dishonest company. They are only after the sale, they misquoted us, and refused to give us our deposit back.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking to get my $3,000.00 deposit back.

J B Hunt Movers Response • May 16, 2018

We standby our last response. Thank you!

This company maliciously broke our furniture and will not compensate us for the $27,500 in damage to our furniture and belongings.
They tried to charge my wife an additional $2400 at pick up after she had gone over every room and contents measuring each piece of furniture in every room over four months before our move with *** at We Pack. They tried to steal a huge vase of coins by placing it in an eve over our bedroom closet when my wife said for them not to touch that she would be taking the money in her auto. They took our contents to a storage unit in Columbus Ohio. It sat there 30 days and then was delivered to us. The truck in which it came on was entirely too small. They crammed our contents in an Enterprise box truck and broke $27,500 worth of furniture and contents. They threw things off the truck and purposely and maliciously damaged our goods. Nadia at We Pack who sub- contracted our move to Unique Van Lines said the two movers who handled our job were fired because they were mad at their boss and took revenge on our contents. We were told insurance would be available when contents were picked up and they did not offer us at that time. They said we would have to settle for .60 cent per lb. They went through their insurance Anthem to get us a claim amount of $600. Pure insult! Asi who denies being in our house is who we have tried to settle the claim with, he stated he fired the two drivers on the spot after hearing what they did to our contents. He said he would work with We Pack and get me a dollar amount. I told him I would settle for $15k. He called back and said they would not do that and never gave us a number of what they would compensate us. Asi felt sorry for what happened to us and came up with a way where we could get all our money back. Asi asked us to call Baker Insurance and act like we were moving from KY to Florida again and Asi would have Unique Van Lines take out an insurance policy and Baker would come look at our contents and we could be reimbursed that way.I told Asi my father had been in insurance for 50+ years and I was no way going to commit insurance fraud. We have called We Pack to go to Arbitration and have not heard from them. Next will be a lawsuit if we do not receive a settlement. I believed Asi was the owner but found out online today the true owner of this company is KARIN EKSHTAYEN, I will try to reach out to her as well or hopefully she will answer this complaint. We are asking for $15k to be returned to us of the $27,500 so we can put this behind us. We Pack/Unique Van Lines used packing materials on two rooms. We paid $7700 for them to pack our house and move it to Florida. Upon arrival my wife's china was thrown in a box with a blender and toaster with no wrapping. All our lamps were broken as well as numerous glass art pieces.TV's broken, furniture that was brand new from Z Gallery broken, Couches , rugs dented, dirty and soiled, KY Derby hats smashed the list is over 70 items of atrocities. Also all our contents did not make it to Florida We had over $7000 worth of items that were left behind never to be returned to us. Our insurance company did give us a check for $4600 for our lost items after depreciation and deductible and they are actively pursuing Unique Van Lines to be reimbursed what they had to pay out to us. Our contents were picked up X-XX-XXXX delivered June 4th & 5th of 2017. We filed a claim July 21, 2017. We have had the run around ever since. I also call We Pack who use to reside in West Palm Beach and now are in Miami. When I went to Flagler Drive they were no longer there. I contacted *** from We Pack who had left his name and number as a forwarding address for We Pack and when I called him to try to work some type of settlement out he hung up on me. Please help me get this resolved before we have to endure the long road of suing them in court. *** XXX-XXX-XXXX

Desired Outcome

We have offered a fair amount to settle this at $15k when our contents received $27,500 in damage. Please have the owner *** contact me.

Move on Moving is we pack's trucking company they use. I found wepackers on consumer affairs as nearly having 5 stars (above 4-very high rating, trusted consumer affairs) DO NOT USE THEM. I had a certain way I wanted them to handle my heirlooms and art and not only did the moving men grumble about me the customer asking in the dark 6am pick up in the rain to open the truck to see what they had to see if things would work because we pack had NOT relayed the requests I had asked them to relay to the drivers, the moving men also complained about my asking nicely to put the ramp down, the younger of the two threw down the tarps at one point. When I called Moveon moving customer service berated me for "micromanaging" them and just to get out of their way and let them "do their job". I had to repeat the word "never" several times as she continued talking over me that "I would never use them again". That if it comes down to it, I get my stuff back, you get the money and end of business transactions forever. I called also WePack who also did not return my continual outreach until I mentioned the words consumer affairs and Revdex.com...we-pack did not seem unduly concerned. Told me yesterday they would call me with an ETA because the truck was in the city I moved to. Never heard from them yesterday and wepack office is closed on Saturdays. You don't go into a restaurant, order a well done steak to have the server toss a piece of raw cow on a plate onto the table and say, ***". How we-pack and move on moving (their "top" truck company) got a near 5 star on consumer affsirs I have no idea. The Revdex.com has wepack as F rating. When confronted about this, we pack's reponse was people hadbto pay Revdex.com to file complaints that generated from not reading the contract. They moved my heirlooms and art that I had hoped to sell for my business starting over here in Albaquerque on the 21rst, the movers from move on have not cashed either of both the money order checks given them (as I checked yesterday March 26) to cover the surcharges not solidified by their "relocation specialist" I orginally had spoken with to make sure I had what I needed to provide finanacially and now I am having to seek in a new city legal help if my thibgs are damaged or lost. Their finance person denied Monday that she would call me back with an ETA that the truck was in Albuquerque on Friday. At best I have to get things treated at a facility apart from my home so I dont accrue potential bedbugs as movers apparently switch up trucks etc, at worst I have just lost my grandparents things and the product I moved here to sell to get a fresh start with contractually nil compensation ".60cents per pound per article." as I found in one google review. I never want to use any movers again after this experience. Apparently the days no longer exist like in my parents days when movers respected ones belongings. It's my money I am paying them to do a job a certain way. If I am paying I shouldn't be treated with the disregard to not relay instructions of care for my things and berated over the phone to not "micromanage" the movers. I asked them nicely and they behaved as if I was a bother (movers, customer service and we pack).

Sorry for the bad experience. We will look further in to your complaints.

We-Pack Moving is an online broker located in West Palm Beach, Florida which arranges for a complete move from city to city. We contacted We-Pack though the internet to get a quote. We supplied a detailed listing of all the items to be moved from Portland Oregon to Buffalo, New York. The "list" had been carefully compiled by an actual mover in Portland from whom we had also sought a bid and who came to our house and itemized everything. (We were trying to make sure that all our quotes were based on the same criteria.) We-Pack's "Binding Moving Estimate" was the lowest by far (approximately $3,000 less than any other.) The total cost was to be $8596.87. We-Pack required a CASH deposit (We-Pack would not accept a credit card) of $3263.00 which we paid.
On the day of the move, a moving company showed up a company with which We-Pack had apparently contracted. The movers declared that the move would cost another $2000 over the original "Binding Moving Estimate" claiming that we would be utilizing more cubic feet than the estimate had stated. This was absolutely false as we had neither added nor subtracted anything from the original list and had been specifically told by We-Pack that 'we don't go by weight or volume, we go by number of items'.
It was only then, unfortunately, that I checked the Revdex.com for information on We-Pack and learned of its prior deceptive practices and Revdex.com 'F? rating low-balling a "Binding Moving Estimate" and then the mover claiming the cost was much higher. (Side Note: the other bids based on the same list were $1500-$3000 higher than We-Pack something which should have given us pause when reviewing the We-Pack "Binding Moving Estimate".)
The movers had substantially completed the wrapping and minimal boxing (we had already boxed many items) when we saw the Revdex.com information and contacted our attorney. We told the movers to stop ? that we no longer wished to do business with We-Pack and its sub-contractors, as we had been deceived. The mover (located out of Las Vegas) checked with his supervisor and declared that we owed them $1200 for the packing. We advised them that we had no contractual obligations with them and that they should go to We-Pack for payment.
We then hired a local Portland mover associated with National Van Lines.
The next day (Monday, February 26, 2018), our attorney sent a letter to We-Pack Moving demanding a refund, less the $1200 which We-Pack would be required to pay to the Las Vegas movers. We heard nothing from We-Pack; our lawyer sent an email on Friday March 9, 2018, reiterating our demand for return of monies illegally and fraudulently obtained by We-Pack. Again, no response.
Assuming that We-Pack paid the Las Vegas mover ($1200), We-Pack owes us $2063 as the net after it pays the Las Vegas mover. Otherwise we are owed the entire $3263.
(Side Note: we do not know for sure whether the Las Vegas mover was part of the deception; although our lawyer contacted them and was told by them that We-Pack and other brokers like them 'are crooked? and that the broker was giving the Las Vegas moving company and other moving companies a 'bad name'?.)
Product_Or_Service: Home Move form City to City

Desired Outcome

Refund Assuming that We-Pack paid the Las Vegas mover ($1200), We-Pack owes us $2063 as the net after it pays the Las Vegas mover. Otherwise we are owed the entire $3263.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We sent them a detailed letter and 11 days later a detailed follow-up e-mail to which they did not respond copied to both the original "salesman" and the CS Department. They have given Revdex.com a pro-forma response. Hopefully Revdex.com will continue to pursue this, as we have been defrauded out of lot of money which they have wrongfully kept. Attached is the original letter.

We stand by our last response. Thank you!

We hired We Pack Moving for our move and We Pack subcontracted the work to TR Moving Systems. We Pack assured that we would pay the amount agreed upon at booking with no surprises later. However, we were charged an additional $81.83 at pickup which was never explained when we inquired. When our furniture arrived they said we owed an additional $550 in cash since we are in a walk up with no elevator which I had fully explained when we booked the move but paid anyway because I didn't want to fight with them on it. Once everything was unloaded we noticed that 2 of the tables in our coffee table set were missing. The delivery person acknowledged on the form that the pieces were missing and he thought he'd be able to locate in the warehouse. After much follow up on our part including offering to fly to TR's location to check the warehouse ourselves, which TR did not respond to, we were told to file a claim. Our table set is worthless in part so we replaced the missing pieces online for $1000. We-Pack/TR's "settlement" is $.60/pound = $24. I perceive the handling of our move as borderline criminal. I would never use them again and wouldn't recommend that anyone entrust their belongings with them.

Didn't show up on time to pick up or drop off, the amount quoted was way below and they did quite a bit of damage to furniture - also forced tip
I contacted WePack and used their questionnaire to give them an idea of how much I had to move. They said they would be there on a Tuesday and no show. Then Wednesday missed 4 hour window and I sat in an empty house. I need to be in Maine by Friday for a closing so my neighbor stepped in. They showed up at 10 and rolled out of my house by 1 am. By that time I was on my way to Maine. They wanted me to pay up front but I refused. Then They showed up on Sunday when they were supposed to be there Friday and wouldn't unload until I'd paid and they forced me to pay a large tip for the drivers. They banged up my walls and broke my dresser and one of the beds. No one will call back and at no time was I told until they came to collect my items that it was Integrated movers and not WE PACK that would be actually handling my items.

Desired Outcome

I would like them to repay me the cost of the items they broke. An Ikea dresser and bed - yes I have photos

We are very sorry for the bad experience you had while using our service. We will someone in cs contact you immediately. Thank you!

The pick up guys came totally unprepared, did not have enough supplies, I spent $150 out of pocket on tape. They ran out of blankets - tried to say they would drive from Panama City Beach to Tampa in one night to get blankets and would finish the next day - when all they actually wanted to do was leave and go smoke pot - which they did under the guise of going to Home Depot to get more blankets, they weren't gone long enough and came back reeking of pot. One had a teardrop tattoo by his eye and I don't know if that still means the same as it did back in the day, but it was very unnerving. The other guy looked like a high school kid. They were atrocious. I never expected to see my things again when they left. Then my delivery date was January 30, I started calling that day and could NEVER get a update as to exactly where my belongings were and when I would receive them. Was told by Summer in Customer Service that she WOULD NO LONGER TAKE MY CALLS, very unprofessional and very combative. Then the delivery was another total nightmare. Do not use this company unless you are physically able to participate in the unloading. I asked them how do they treat really old people who cannot participate. I am in pretty good shape for 63 yrs old, but after paying $4000.00 I never expected to have to participate in the actual unloading and moving my furniture around in my house myself. Do not, I REPEAT Do Not EVER use We Pack Movers or their carrier Unique Movers, (they are unique alright) or have any dealings with their salesman *** XXX-XXX-XXXX HORRIBLE MOVING EXPERIENCE - expensive and poor poor service all around. They are cut throat rip off artists. Finally got my stuff but the all around experience was JUST PLAIN AWFUL. I had to BEG these delivery guys to assemble everything the pick up guys had disassembled and I had to pitch a good ole fashioned downright Southern Woman HISSY FIT to get them to FIND THE LEGS to my sofa and love seat. I didn't pack the dang legs and they were like, well you can call the office and get them to ship them to you, FROM WHERE??? The sofa and loveseat legs were on the list- they had to be on the truck. These two guys, complained the whole time about the weather, about taking things downstairs AND kept saying this will be that will be extra, . They left me with a MOUNTAIN of TRASH, kept talking about EXTRA CHARGES. THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE START TO FINISH WAS A NIGHTMARE. They demanded to be tipped and one guy even followed me into my bedroom to my purse and I had to ask him to please step away and out of the room. I am totally shocked my stuff is even here and don't know what I will or won't find when I unpack the boxes. I had a lot of broken dishes and glassware and damage to two antique beds. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS HORRIBLE TERRIBLE COMPANY.

We are very sorry you had a bad experience with our company. Please contact our customer service department if you need to file a damages claim. There email: @wepack.com

False representation of services for moving. Up charged and demande cash payment befor I could get service. Damaged door, walls, and furniture.
We pack salesman, ***, stated that my move would be done same day and my items would be the only ones in the truck. He estimated my cost based on 3500 lbs. *** represented that We Move had a hub in Louisville and he was representing the moving company. They required 40% deposit by electronic check to hold the date. He said they would arrive between 8-10 am on feb 3 to move me and would call within 24 hrs to give exact time. I reached out feb 2 after not hearing and they said between 9-10 am arrival. On feb 3 I reached out again at 9:30 and the driver said he would be there by 11. They arrived at 11:30.the driver explained that my estimate was based on cubic feet and not lbs even though the quote included both. If I went over 500 cu ft then I would be chgd more. He said I was 300 cu ft over and added $1050 to the original quote as well as 10% fuel chg. They said I had to pay $500 more for same day delivery. They also said I need to pay any balance in cash which was never disclosed prior. I spoke with *** and ***. *** said *** would never have told me these things because *** trains them. I asked her to pull the taped conversation from 1/26/18.

Four men packed my belongings but only two men arrived at the destination to unload. The men were ***, ***, ***, and 's brother. *** answered his phone as We Pack Moving and not the company that he drove the truck for, moving express and storage. License plate xga g89.

The destination was a new construction. They demanded the balance of payment in cash and my signature stating all goods had arrived in good condition before they unloaded the truck. *** said it was the law and in the contract. They damaged the front door, entry wall, living room wall, and dresser. They left all tape and boxes stating 'you paid for it'. My instructions were to call *** (female) at moving express and storage to file a claim on the damages. They never went over the inventory list when delivering. *** just checked it all off.

I was intimidated and scammed. This company should not be allowed to operate any longer.

Desired Outcome

Refund overage charges based on cubic feet and not lbs as stated by salesman which equal $1150. Pay for repairs to new apartment. Pay for damage to dresser.

We are very sorry to hear you did not have a good experience while moving with us. In regards to the space or pounds of the shipment , which you acknowledge and are correct at both meaning the same thing. The only thing we require is an actual inventory as stated on your contract. The following is on the contract you signed: our estimated price is guaranteed not to change unless you order additional services, add additional items. This document is a binding estimate and not a contract. The contract for moving services is the "bill of lading" which is entered into by the customer and the actual moving company (carrier); WP is not a party to that contract.

If you are having problems filing a claim for damages please reach us at this number for help (XXX) XXX-XXXX. Thank you!

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Verbal misrepresentation followed by an inaccurate estimate. We pack takes no responsibility for damages done by Moving Express. We Pack represented that they were the moving company, not a broker. The driver for moving express & storage answered his phone "we pack movers".

This company advertised itself as a moving company when all they are is a broker. The quoted me $2236 to move, but then I was charged $4959.
They quoted us at $2236 and we ended up being charged $4959. Shawn is a scam artist and once they have your deposit they will not respond. They have an F with the Revdex.com and 1 star on other websites. The Consumer Affairs reviews they push are completely fake. My Attorney contacted them and some guy named Wilson said I had called everyday and cursed at him. Just another lie of many they constantly tell. I have never even spoken with a Wilson. The pretend to be movers when all they are is brokers who take advantage of people. They then pawn your move off to just as bad moving companies. In my case it was Move On Moving from Las Vegas. The movers picked our stuff up on 12/21/17. We were guaranteed by Shawn to have our stuff no later then the first week of January. We didn't get our belongings till 1/27/18. 37 days later! My daughters keyboard broken, brand new shoe rack broken, trash can broken, mirror shattered. Do not believe one word this company tells you on the phone. They are good sales people, but once they have your money you'll never hear from them again, unless you get an attorney involved. The guarantee to have your belongings to you in 21 business days at the latest. Our stuff took 27 business days and 37 days total.

Desired Outcome

We were originally quoted $2236 for our move including a $520 discount which was never given. We ended up paying $4959. I paid we pack a $1270 deposit. I'd like that returned for services never provided.

J B Hunt Movers Response • Jan 31, 2018

The contract you signed Staes that we are a broker in several different paragraphs. The only way you can be charged more is if you had more items. We spoke to a disability attorney who said he wanted to hear our side of the story. We was asked if he had read the contract to which he responded "No, I'm just a disability attorney". At that time there was really nothing else to discuss with him since he wasn't aware of how the moving industry works or our rights as a customer and yours as a consumer. We have 70 good complaints on the Revdex.com and 13 bad ones. We are very confused as how that can be an F rating. In any learning institution that would at least be a B grade. We looked at your estimate and there is noting on it guaranteeing a specific delivery date. It does have the estimated delivery time for your travel distance. Any claims regarding damages must go through Move On Moving but you can call us anytime for better clarification on filing the claim with them. Thank you!
