In early January of this year, a car ran into the side of my houseMrJoe [redacted] helped me every step of the way fighting the insurance companies, and making sure I received everything I was entitled toIt finally was resolved after months, and Mr [redacted] never gave upThanks to his hard work, my house looks like new! I'm very grateful for everything he has done for me, and I recommend his company for any work you may needHe's very professional, and gets the job done!

In May a tree fell on my home and caused exterior as well as interior damageI chose J & K Home Improvement and Restoration because of the attention to detail Joe Kim presented in his first overview of my damagesOnce the work started, Joe oversaw the replacement of my home’s roof, siding, fascia, new gutters and personally monitored the repair of the interior damage as well as the painting J & K Home Improvement and its crews were professional, courteous, and extremely attentive to details I have had many people work on my home, but I rank this group the best

J & K helped me on several occasions with minor repairs after wind or other damage to my roof left me in a difficult position with more storms coming - jobs too small for some places to even return my call, but their guys grabbed a ladder and a hammer and helped me outHard to put a price on that kind of service these days When it came time to do a full tear-off / reroof of my house and garage, they offered prompt responses to phones calls, and showed up when they were scheduled, with a quick turn-around of the job I've got a pretty big roof and a 4-car garage and the whole thing was done in a day! Gave me a very fair price on the work proposed, and helped me with the insurance company to make sure all the bases were covered Didn't try to nickel and dime us, advised us on what we did, and did >not< need, and made sure the job was done right the first time These are one of the "good guys"

Our insurance company sent out J&K for roof/siding repair on our house in Oct Joe [redacted] was the contractor Everything went seamlessly and Joe went above and beyond, doing small jobs as they came up He coordinated the painters, roofers and siding guys and was on site a good part of the time If anything came up he promised to take care of it and he did! When we needed painting and a floor replacement this winter we called Joe [redacted] and he again took care of everything, checking in with us by phone and coming by frequently to check progress All the prices were reasonable and when the project was done Joe came by one last time to make sure all the work had been done well and we were happy I could not recommend Joe [redacted] at J&K Home Improvements more!!!!! I can't speak others that work there but if you need something call this company and ask for Joe ***!!!!

Through the recommendation of my Home Owners Insurance I was given the names of several contractors, J & K by far was the company with the BEST reviewsI met with Joe [redacted] from J & K and he answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortableHe is very knowledgeable and his courtesy and professionalism helped gain my confidence immediately! We recently had a water leak from our dishwasher and it damaged my cabinets on one wall, the floor and the plasterboardEverything had to be replacedCome to find out that my Carmel stained cabinets were no longer available, so we had to start looking for new oneJ&K worked with our insurance company on the replacement of the cabinetsI had to have all new cabinets, so I have a brand new kitchen from floor to ceilingThey were vey courteous, accommodating, responsiveEvery time something was being done, the installer asked if it was done to our likingI am very happy with the end results! They did a wonderful job and were very good about cleaning at the end of each day! In fact, one of my friends are looking to replace a counter in the kitchen and I am recommending this company to them

A BIT-O-HISTORY: I had my roof replaced once before on a different house by a [redacted] ' and when a major storm hit our current home and [redacted] s' came knocking, I thought, 'Never Again, I'm going local.' COMPANY/Steve: I live in Wauconda ILand this company is based in Itasca I almost didn't call because of the distance, I didn't think they'd come out to me, they did! The man I met was Steve We sat down and he explained the process, the positives, negatives, pro's and con's of different products etc He even gave me some insight into how the company got started and the work ethics of the owner He must have realized I was a bit gun-shy when it came to my roof being replacedHe didn't pressure my wife and I into a decision but did offer to guide us Thanks Steve! THE PROCESS: So colors were selected, type of shingle etcand a date was scheduled Material was onsite a day or two before the workersWhen the workers arrived they communicated well with me and each step that was taking place was communicated through Steve We has some additional decking that needed to be replaced and I was informed before the decking was put in place They put in a full days work, but finished in one day! Clewas very good too! PAYMENT: Yes, of course we had a contract with J&K but what was really great was the explanation of the contract that helped us to remain at ease Steve and I communicated via email regarding the work, satisfaction of the end result and paymentSUMMARY: I loved working with this company Finally, a company (or business) that cares about their product, reputation and customer satisfaction I was blessed to have them come out to Wauconda Thanks guys!

We couldn't be happier with J&K Home Improvement on our repairs of replacing the roof that needed to be replaced and residing of our homeThe workmenship was top Quality and the workers were very professional We worked with manager Joe [redacted] And was very happy with Joe's professional way of working with us and was great in keeping us informed with with every step and checking on the work being done

J&K Home Improvement did a New Roof on other family members homes, which were both Insurance claims The family members raved about the completed job, and level of professionalism When John came to our house for the estimate, he was prompt, professional, and very detailed with the estimate (Ours was NOT an insurance claim, we paid for it.) We did have other estimates, and J&K was not the least expensive But, for the quality product, and the transferable roof warranty to another owner within yrs, and the recommendations of family members, that's what sold us! My husband is also a Journeyman Custom Trim Carpenter of years, and has also had experience doing roofing in his younger daysSo, when he too was impressed with Johns presentation, and the overall quality of finished product, that's when I knew 100% we made the right decision And, if that wasn't enough, the neighbor behind us, also had other roof estimatesJ&K again wasn't the least expensive, but she too also had J&K do her roof, and couldn't be happier If you want cheap, there's many other companies out thereIf you want a high quality roofing product, an established company, and complete professionalism from beginning to end, then we highly recommend J&K Home improvement The entire roofing crew were prompt, very hard working, and did an excellent job cleaning up around the house WE LOVE OUR NEW ROOF- it really adds class to our house appearance!
