Dear Valued Customer,
We deeply apologize for your inconvenience. Please note that when you purchase a JadooTV, you are under NO...

contract. You paid for the hardware of this device, which is approximately five (5) years old (Jadoo2 model was first launched in 2010) and you received 400+ live channels and also tens of thousands of recorded content all for free. There was no extra charge (monthly or annual) for this service.
Since software is constantly evolving, IPTV programming needs to be updated, and at times, the hardware is so outdated that the software may not be compatible. Unfortunately, at that point the hardware becomes obsolete. The Jadoo2 model, being 5 years old, had reached a point where the hardware no longer supported newer features/programming. However, the hardware on Jadoo3 and Jadoo4 models are supportive of these new features/programming.
JadooTV offers an upgrade program to returning customers, such as yourself, whose older devices have become obsolete. You may upgrade to the latest version of JadooTV IPTV (Jadoo4) set top box for a significantly reduced price, compared to a first time buyer who has to pay $199 USD. This offer is now valid, and the price has been dropped to $149 USD, which is inclusive of shipping. Please contact our sales department at [redacted]@jadootv.com immediately and we may be able to drop the price even further. Please reference this case when you contact us.
Thank you

Dear Valued Customer,
We apologize dearly for your inconvenience. Please note that when you purchase a JadooTV you are NOT under any contract. You paid for the hardware of this device, which is approximately five (5) years old (Jadoo2 model...

Since software and the quality of IPTV channel streaming is constantly evolving, the Jadoo2 model, being 5 years old, had reached a point where the hardware no longer supported newer features. Hardware on Jadoo3 and Jadoo4 models are supportive of these new features.
We had an upgrade program for returning customers, such as yourself, where they could upgrade to the latest version of JadooTV IPTV (Jadoo4) set top box for a significantly reduced price in comparison to a first time buyer. Dear [redacted],
We apologize for the inconvenience; however, Jadoo2 devices were first launched in 2010 and the hardware has gotten to a point where it can no longer support the updated software and the newer features. Please note that you were...

not under any contract as you were only purchasing the hardware and the hundreds of live channels were provided to you for free.
Unfortunately, we would not be able to upgrade your device for free. We had an upgrade promotion for our returning customers, such as yourself who could upgrade to the latest version Jadoo4 (which was launched in January 2015) for a discounted price. That offer expired in July, but if you contact [redacted]@jadootv.com we will offer you the same price. Please reference this case if you choose to contact us.

I contacted the business and they promised me a new Jadoo box as per this case. After providing them with serial# and other information they requested, they have gone mute. Despite my three email follow ups, there has been no response from them at all. Looks like they agreed to resolve this issue on Revdex.com however they don't follow through on their promise. It doesn't take over 3 weeks to respond to an email, not even a courtesy response providing an update.

Dear Ms. Nessa,

We apologize sincerely for the inconvenience you faced trying to get in contact with us. We assure you that customer care is very important to us at JadooTV, and we apologize that your experience was anything less than spectacular.

Upon receiving your...

complaint, we have assigned one of our experienced customer care specialists to your case. They will be contacting you to get the return and warranty procedure under way for your JadooTV device. Please do not hesitate to contact the support team with any additional questions or concerns, they will be able to locate your file using your phone number or email address.

Thank you for being a JadooTV customer. We hope this resolves the issues contained in the complaint. Please let us know if we may assist you further.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2015/09/16) */
Dear [redacted],
Please note that Jadoo2 devices were launched in summer of 2010. The hardware of this device has gotten to a point where it can no longer support the newer features of the JadooTV software.
You were not under any contract...

when you purchased Jadoo2. You did not pay monthly or annual fees as you only made a one time payment of $250 for the hardware and the 400+ live channels and the tens of thousands of hours worth of recorded content was provided to you for free. Since the Jadoo2 device was launched, The hardware cost has spread out to about $0.14 PER DAY for you as the device lasted 5 years.
Just like any other electronic device, there is no guarantee from any company as to how long a certain electronic device will be functional until the hardware becomes obsolete. This is exactly why smartphones (Apple, Android, etc) need to be upgraded with newer ones every few years. Jadoo3 and Jadoo4 devices are still working because their hardware is still active.
Jadoo4 was launched in January of 2015 and has the most up to date hardware. There are no plans to introduce another JadooTV device in the near future, but just because a newer version is introduced, it does not mean that the previous devices automatically get shut down. They will still work as long as the hardware can support the features. JadooBoxes, like many electronic devices, have an average life of about 5-6 years. That is still a cost of under $0.15 (15 cents) per day for you.
We have had multiple upgrade programs throughout the years where returning customers, such as yourself, can purchase the latest version of JadooTV (Jadoo4) for a lower price than our new customers. This offer expired in July, but we will offer you the same deal if you email us on [redacted]@jadootv.com. Please reference this case if you decide to contact us.
Thank you
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 9, 2015/09/18) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
1. At the time this device was bought Jadoo did not offer a contract, and still does not. It was a one time payment of $250. Apple Black Box costs $99.00 and when needed software is pushed down to bring it up to date. I have not had to buy an Apple Box since I first bought it several years ago.
2.Citing examples of Smartphones is truly ignorant on your end. It is like comparing apples to oranges. Even if we were to take your example of smartphones becoming obsolete every couple of years(which they don't), the providers provide free upgrades every two years.
3.Jadoo's upgrade offer to Jadoo 4 is $279.00 where Jadoo's advertised price for a Jadoo 4 is $199.00.
4. I believe a civil class action law suit is in place for deceptive advertising and pricing practices.
Thanks.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2015/08/31) */
Dear [redacted],
Our support department has worked with you to offer you the best deal, as in giving you an upgraded version of the JadooBox for minimal cost but we understand that you were not able to come to a resolution.
Unfortunately, we...

cannot offer you a newer device for free but we are offering you a price that is the cheapest price we have offered anyone.
You have to understand this is a 5+ year old product that has gotten to a point where the hardware is outdated and is no longer compatible with the newer software and channel formats.
You were also not under any sort of contract. You only paid a one time price for the hardware and the hundreds of channels and the tens of thousands of recorded content was provided to you for free. Therefore, you used this model of the JadooBox at an average cost of $0.15 PER DAY.
We have had multiple offers where older customers, such as yourself, could upgrade to a newer version at a much more discounted price than our brand new customers, and we have offered you a price even lower than that.
If you are interested please email us at [redacted]@jadootv.com and reference this case so we can proceed further.
Thank you.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
the notion and/or act of my device going off line completely all of a sudden is a bad signal. I still am using my windows 98 operating system on my desktop, and needless to say either I am not able to do some extra fancy browsing on internet or certain features are slower than expected but it still WORKS!
I am NOT willing to pay a dime more to view a handful of music channels at my place from time to time. the notion of having been able to view hundreds of channels is total misnomer! that NEVER happened.
just look at the yelp reviews about this company and see for yourself what a bad reputation they have.
I want a WORKING gadget of ANY condition or version to settle this matter.

Hi [redacted],
Please note that none of our customers are under contract as they are only purchasing the hardware and they get the 400+ live channels and tens of thousands of hours worth of recorded content for...

free. Jadoo2 is a model that was launched in 2010 and is 5 years old at this point. The hardware of this device does not support the constantly updating software and newer features that are available now. Jadoo3 and Jadoo4 hardware still support these features.
This is similar to how smartphones and other electronic devices need to be upgraded to newer versions every few years.
We had an upgrade feature for our returning customers where they could purchase the Jadoo4 version for a much cheaper price than our newer customers. This offer expired in July but if you contact our sales department at [redacted]@jadootv.com we will offer you the same discounted price. Please reference this case if you choose to contact us.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The unit was sold with the promise that it was a one time cost and no additional cost after that. We paid almost $ 400 for it. We bought the unit 4 years ago.
Now they are asking us to buy new unit (Jadoo 4) at the discounted price of $ 179. According to them the regular price of Jado 4 is $ 219. Not a big diacount nor an acceptable proposal.
We beleive that they owe us the new upragde unit for free because our unit is NOT working at all.
If they do not want to give us the new unit free than they should give a bare minimum upgrade so that we can use our Jaddo 2 in a limited capacity. We are willing to accept the degraded or limited operation of our device, as long as it is working.
If they are not willing to resolve our concern then we ask Revdex.com to provide us the name and contact info of AG of CA so that we can contact them and file our complaint to them. They have the authority to enfornce the compliance.
Thank you so much for your time and help.

Dear customer,
We dearly apologize for the inconvenience. However, like most electronic equipment, our products also have a certain life span. We cannot guarantee that that any of product will run indefinitely. If for some reason a product is defective, we replace the product through our RMA department if the product is within the warranty period (http://jadootv.com/warranty/). With that said, We stopped selling the Jadoo2 product in 2012. The Jadoo2 model was launched in 2010 and has reached a point where the hardware is outdated and can no longer support the features and the higher quality of the new media format. This is why we have launched numerous upgrade programs for our existing customers, in which they can purchase the latest version of JadooTV for a discounted price.

Dear Customer,

Dear [redacted],
Jadoo1 was a device that was launched in 2008, back when Android Operating System was not created. it is...

a 7 year old product, and Jadoo2, which was launched in 2010, is a 5 year old product. Just with most electronic devices, the hardware can only support so much as the software these days is constantly evolving with new features and as the video resolution of the content gets increased. It is true that the customers do not pay monthly fees with Jadoo1 and Jadoo2, but like with all electronic devices, there is a limited life of these products. Just like with smartphones, it is not guaranteed that a certain electronic device will run 7-10 years after being launched. Jadoo3 was launched in 2012 and it is still running because the hardware still supports the latest features. New models of JadooTV do not come out every year, but in 2-3 year increments.
This is why we have a discounted price of the latest model of JadooTV ONLY for our existing customers. where they can upgrade for $179 (USA price).
Please email us at [redacted]@jadootv.com and refer to this case and we will offer you an additional discount on Jadoo4. We will also provide you with a free Air Mouse remote control which is an additional $20 offer.
We will look forward to your response, as we would like to work with you to reach the best possible solution.
Thank you.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/06/11) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This is not a positive response from Jadoo Tv. They are offering $179 for Jadoo 4 and this is their normal price these days and every one with Jdoo 2 and 3 can buy at this price. Plus if they are upgrading their technology why should old customers pay for that.
As soon they introduce new product, they stop uploading the stuff on old devices and FORCE customers to buy the new product.
I believe they should add more attractions to the new devices that attract customers to buy, not by sending the message that our existing device will stop working in 60 days.
Further more there are same channels in Jadoo 2, 3 and 4.
And in their reply they gave the example of Android technology, so my friend new Android technology is coming but this is customer choice to buy smart phone or the old phones. And still people are using old phones and no cellular company forced their customers to buy smart phone, so your example is irrelevant and you can not make customers FOOL.
So, I am giving you the listed below options;
1- I am happy with Jaddo 2, update it and let it working.
2- I am loyal customer and connected with Jadoo since 2009 so they should give me Jadoo 4 with air mouse for $75 only.
3- Buy my Jadoo 2 device and return my money so I can connect to dish network.
I hope that they will choose any of the options stated above and resolve the issue.
Thanks

Dear [redacted],
Please note that you are not under any contract when you purchase a JadooBox. You only paid for the hardware of this device which is 5 years old now (Jadoo2 model was first launched in 2010) and you received 400+ live channels and...

Because the hardware that I purchased should not have been disabled. They may stop the streaming channels.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2015/07/22) */
Hi [redacted],
Please note that Jadoo2 products were launched in 2010. The hardware in these models has gotten to a point where they can not support the newer features and channel qualities of the newer models like Jadoo3 and Jadoo4. Similar to how...

a smart phone from 5+ years ago is not functional anymore because it can not support the newer features of current models due to the outdated technology.
When you purchased the Jadoo2 hardware, the channels were coming to you for free. You were not under any contract and we were not charging you any monthly or annual fees to provide you live and recorded channels. When you purchased the device in August of 2011, the price per device device was $250 USD. Spreading that over to now, that is a cost of $0.17 per day for you to watch hundreds of live channels and tens of thousands of recorded content per box.
Just because a new model comes out, does not mean older ones will be decommissioned. Jadoo3 models are still functional and have the same channels as Jadoo4. It is just that Jadoo2 models are 5 years old now. This is why we are offering a special Loyalty Program for our existing customers, such as yourself, where they can upgrade to Jadoo4 for a much lower price than our brand new customers. You can get more information by visiting our website.
Please let us know if you need any assistance.

Thanks Jadoo for your offer, I tried to work your sales team but the price I was offered is not considerable, I tired to negotiate but they refused to.
I understand that Jadoo and me were not under any legal agreement that my device will keep supporting the new or upgraded software and/or contents but what concerns me is that it said good bye to me, at least it should give me what I paid for (the old contents). We are familiar how the electronic devices and subscriptions work.
Do Jadoo and I have any agreement where it says that my device will stop working when jadoo has any new device released?
Thanks

We offered the buyer a considerably low price. The product price on our website is currently $199 USD. We contacted the buyer directly and gave the buyer an offer of $149 USD. Thanks for the offer. The seller should respond to my question. I have already stated what the seller has offered. I don't want to buy jadoo3, where again I will run into the same issue very soon.

No changes have been made to the device's sound system. Jadoo3 devices are continuing to work just fine. No changes have been made to the Jadoo3 devices just because Jadoo4 was released.
Please provide us with some more information about the...

issue you are experiencing. By "Sound system" are you referring to the speaker that is connected to your TV or the sound in the channel itself? If it is a sound issue in the channel then you can contact our 24/7 support department and they can help resolve the issue or even issue you a replacement, if necessary. However, if the sound issue is in your speaker system then there may have been a setting that was changed as this issue is not related to JadooTV.
If you provide us with more information as to what exactly you mean by "sound system" then we may be able to assist you better. We look forward to your response.
Thank you

Hi,
Thanks for your email.
After filing complaint to your office,my device one day working with out any reason, there was no communication in b/w me and service provider.
However I don't have any problem at this stage.
Thanks to Revdex.com Team.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
I have been reached out by the company's representative asking me to pay for the new JadooTV box. I have declined that offer because I don't want to pay one more time time only to be deactivated again in the future.
This is an unfair and unethical business practice as when I bought the device it was advertised as one-time pay thing. Ironically, company is still doing the same practice as the current box are sold as if consumer have to pay only one time for the life time content. Nowhere it is mentioned that contents may not be available for lifetime regardless of the device condition. I can understand if the device fails mechanically/electrically and if the warranty period is over then for sure customer has to pay in order to continue. But with a working device, regardless of how old, company is deactivating it and forcing customers to buy the new device! How is this fair and not unethical?

I appreciate their kind response, but the complaint is about the same issue, what they have claimed they are not providing. The 24/7 customer support is not available most of the time. And the app I have requested they have not mentioned any thing about that. The response is very general in nature not focused on my problem. Thank you
