Jefferson Capital Systems Reviews (%countItem)

On or about January,21,2019 Jefferson Capital Systems/Solution LLC placed an active collection on my credit file with all 3 major credit bureaus. I placed a fraud alert on my credit reports and Dispute the collection several times. The results were the same each time the account holder has certified that the information is accurate and no changes. After my attempts to Dispute information with credit bureaus, I decide to request validation of the debt. On or about June, 5, 2019 I mailed a detailed validation letter to Jefferson Capital Systems/Solutions LLC asking for proof to validate the debt. In my previous disputes I explain the debt wasn’t mine and my credit file had been merged with someone else’s and I believe that this debt was fraudulent. In response Jefferson Capital/System LLC on or about June 25,2019 sent me a copy of a bill from Verizon Wireless with a balance due of $3,547 dollars due immediately with address that didn’t belong to me. Jefferson Capital Systems, LLC did not validate the debt correctly as the FCRA regulates. Jefferson Capital Systems/Solution LLC is reporting to Credit Agency’s monthly as this is a new account in my Name. The bill that was supplied to me states the debt had occurred in 2016 if that information is accurate then they are violating FCRA rules and regulations by restarting the debt . In return my credit files are being adversely affected and this is deformation of my character and other creditors see me as a High Risk. I’m asking that they provide competent information that validates this is my debt and they abide by the FCRA and the state of Texas collections regulation. In return my credit files to reflect the accuracy and delete the information that is untrue and not belong to myself. I will seek legal action and contact the Attorney General office if Jefferson Capital Systems/Solution does not comply with the regulations set forth for the consumer.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely

I submitted a complaint through this website on 6/19/2019 (Complaint ID #13630879) and received a message the following day from Jefferson Capital Systems stating they would be reaching out to me directly via mail within 7-10 days from 6/20/2019. Today makes 11 days and still no response. VERY unprofessional which is a continuing trend for this company.

Original complaint:

Jefferson Capital Systems added collection to my credit reports without my knowledge. I checked & can't verify their registration in California. BOTH are FDCPA violations. Jefferson Capital put collection on my credit reports without my knowledge and in doing so, this violated the FDCPA Collection Practice by placing a collection account on my credit report without sending a letter to me. Plus there is NO verification from the LA Secretary of State that they are registered in California which is also against the FDCPA. I request that Jefferson Capitol verify the following information. 1. Full original Account Number 2. Date original Account was opened 3. Any written agreements between myself and the original creditor stating this debt is owed 4. Full account summary and itemized calculation of alleged debt 5. Date of the first delinquency 6. Dates and times of any phone calls made and to what number in attempt to contact me concerning the alleged debt before it was reported to an agency, and so proving that these calls were made in the times governed by FDCPA law. If Jefferson Capital Systems is unable to provide the above identifying account information, this account must be deleted from all CRAs. Jefferson Capital Systems also failed to follow FDCPA by not sending a letter giving the consumer time to dispute or validate the alleged debt within the allowed 30-day time frame that is allowed by law.

They are obligated by law to provide me details regarding their claim against me by mail within 5 business days. I have still yet to receive any information for them. The calls are threatening and are at inappropriate times, I've received a call on a Sunday which is not allowed. This account was originally with Verizon wireless. They turned it over to Jefferson Capital Systems debit collection. The account was supposed to been closed & now further charges was what a Supervisor at Verizon told me years ago. Her name was ***. I didn't get her last name. Verizon wasn't supposed to have sold me their service due to not being local. If I used it I was roaming. It was available in my area. So I thought it was closed & no more charges were supposed to been the case. They waited several years to contact me. I don't believe this is fair. I don't believe I owe this company. I want them to do what they said. Close it out & no more charges & that I don't owe them anything. This was wrong to sale me something that wasn't available in my area.

I requested validation, made pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act, along with the corresponding local state laws of the debt they claim I owe of $502. I am considering the possibility of settling this debt.

I accept no responsibility for ownership of this debt. However, I’m willing to compromise. I can offer a significant settlement amount in exchange for the following:
1.You agree, in writing, to designate the account as “payment in full” once you are in receipt of the agreed upon payment amount. The account will not be designated as a “paid collection” or “settled account.”
2.You agree, in writing, to completely remove any and all references to this account from all credit bureaus to which you report.

I am willing to pay the full balance owed / $1,153 as settlement for this debt in exchange for your agreement to remove all information regarding this debt from all credit reporting agencies to which you report within fifteen calendar days of receipt of payment.

When I am in receipt of a signed agreement with the aforementioned terms from an authorized representative on your company letterhead, I will pay $1,153 via .cashier’s check/wire transfer/money order.

Thank you for your time

Jefferson capital unknowingly placed a collection debt on my credit report. I have never heard from this company by phone or by mail. I have disputed their account and records with no results. The account they claim I own does not belong to me and I have also disputed the original creditor. Jefferson Capital states I opened an account with them in 2016, which is inaccurate as I have no knowledge of ever being involved with this company. Their inaccurate reporting acts have negatively impacted my credit and has hindered me from being able to progress forward for my children and myself.

I have reached out to Jefferson Capital Systems on multiple occasions to let them know of a fraudulent account under my name and social security number. I asked them to furnish me with an detailed list of billing, showing what items I was supposed to be charged for and I was never recieved any information from them after 4 calls to them. I have NEVER received any kind of services or goods from Nordstroms and I am not financially responsible for this account and any charges are fraudulent!!! The company removed all charges from my credit history previously and after I resolved this charge it keeps appearing again and again after months of being in dispute with this fraudulent company. I want this item removed from my credit report NOW AND ONCE AND FOR ALL and I want a letter to be furnished showing that this is a mistake because this is hindering my able to obtain credit at places and my last resort WILL be to pursue further legal action to have these items removed and an civil suit issued.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

You have no grounds for your illegal actions. *** states there is no outstanding debt. Its way past due. Next step is taking legal action against your company.
