Jefferson Capital bought my account from ***. I have been making payments and they are not reporting me as giving any payments. I have no idea where my money is going to in regards to actual payment. Interest, principal. I have repeatedly asked for a statement or access to website and nothing is being done. I called again and this time I was told to send them a letter with request. I did over 4 weeks ago and still have not heard back. I need to see where the money I have been sending them is being applied to and need them to report me as paying as agreed. They have been reporting me as delinquent and negative on my 3 credit reports.

It has been a little over 2 months now that this account has been removed from one, but still has not been removed from the other two, in result lowering my score.

Jefferson Capital put collection on my credit reports without my knowledge and in doing so, this violated the FDCPA Collection Practice by placing a collection account on my credit report without sending a letter to me. Plus there is NO verification from the State of Florida that they are registered in which is also against the FDCPA!

I request that Jefferson Capitol verify the following information.
1. Full original Account Number
2. Date original Account was opened
3. Any written agreements between myself and the original creditor stating this debt is owed
4. Full account summary and itemized calculation of alleged debt
5. Date of the first delinquency

I have no knowledge of this account. They added a collection to my credit reports without my knowledge! I checked & can't verify their registration in Texas! BOTH are FDCPA violations! Jefferson Capital put collection on my credit reports without my knowledge and in doing so, this violated the FDCPA Collection Practice by placing a collection account on my credit report without sending a letter to me. The collection account was added to all credit reports without knowledge since I did not receive any letters or phone calls. I have tried multiple times to talk to someone who works for this company but can never get anyone on the phone. The system is automated and you can never speak to a live person. I was finally given another phone number to call through an automated system. That company was called Jefferson Capital Systems and was told that they were collecting the debt. I first called them on 4/08/2019 and spoke to a woman who did not identify herself. I asked for a detail of the charges to be sent to me so that I could investigate the charge. She said that she would send to me but also told me that I could settle the account at a rate of 20% off. I declined the offer and she then said that a letter had been mailed out at a higher percent off but it was past the offer date which is typically 30-60 days. She proceeded to talk to her manager and came back with 35% off. I declined offer and asked for the details again to be sent to me. I called again 04/15/19 and spoke to a man this time. I told him that I had not received any details on the charge yet. I verified email and address and he put me on hold to review the notes. He got back on the line and told me that he could not send me anything because they are just a debt collector. I argued with him and decided to hang up and call back to speak to someone else. This time it was the woman I spoke to the first time. She told me a letter was mailed out on 1/17/19 and told me this was the settlement letter that I asked for. We had not spoken before 4/08/19. So now I feel like I am being lied and mistreated. Why would I settle a debt with nothing in writing that I have asked for other than a settlement letter and then paid to a company that is not on my credit report. I am requesting that Jefferson Capital verify the following information. 1. Full original Account number 2. Date original Account was opened 3. Any written agreements between myself and the original creditor stating this debt is owed 4. Full account summary and itemized calculation of alleged debt 5. Dates of the first delinquency 6. Dates and times of any phone calls made and to what number in attempt contact me concerning the alleged debt before it was reported to an agency, and so proving that these calls were made in the times governed by FDCPA law. 7. Written contract between Jefferson Capital Systems and ***. If they can not do so I ask that they provide letter on company letter head they they will complete full deletion of both collections reporting on my credit reports and have it removed from the credit bureau's (***) and any attempt to sell to another company will not happen.

Jefferson Capital Systems sent me a letter on January 8th, giving me a "settlement amount" for an account that was closed over 5 years ago. We paid their settlement amount (have proof of cashed check & billing statement) and they still say we owe the final sum of the rest of the amount, and they will not remove it from our 3 credit reports. They did not honor the settlement amount but took our money & say we still owe!

I recently disputed information on my credit report in regards to this company. Somehow it keeps coming back as verified when I have no knowledge of signing a contract with this company. I asked the company to validate this debt but have not received a response from them in months. I know that this is a violation to the FCRA and FDCPA because I read it on the internet. Jefferson Capital Systems LLC continues to keep derogatory remarks on an account that is over 12 yrs old, way past statute of limitations, and was disputed from the beginning in 2006-2007. They refuse to supply any and all account information including dates of service because they know it is fraud to collect on a debt this old. They continue to change the dates on the credit file to around 3 yrs ago, which they can not prove and is also fraud.

2015 I terminated my services with *** due to the fact that they were not able to accommodate my family with assistance when I was laid off of work. I spoke to several different representatives each telling me something different. I ask to speak to a manager and was disconnected. I ended up to speaking to *** corporate in Langhorne PA. The gentlemen again tried to keep me from cancelling service but understood my situation. I was then told because of all the miscommunication and disrespect that they would waive the early termination fees in hopes that I would become a *** customer in the future again. I was ok with that an appreciate the assistance. I ask for a final billed for the service itself and was told it would come out in the mail. I got a bill for $1300. I reached out again to Mark B at corporate and ask for a detailed bill for those charges and was told by Mark B he was not able to sent me that information. All those details of my correspondence should be verifiable on y case #*** with ***.The bill should have been around $240. I sent several letters to *** and Jefferson Capital about this going back to beginning. Jefferson Capital is reporting to my credit report with out providing proper documentation of the corrected bill from ***. I have also discuss this with *** whom Jefferson Capital sold my account to and they have notified me they are not handling the account going forward. If *** or Jefferson can not provide a correct bill then this will continue to go unpaid. All the calls with Mark at corporate *** were recorded by *** so the facts are clear.

I have no knowledge of this account - it looks like it originated with *** per *** - and wrote to *** stating this as well.

I have received a few letters from this "Jefferson Capital" along with MANY phone calls ranging from early am to late pm along with voice mails of nothing but static or a loud noise lasting 20-30 + seconds. I feel harassed by this company and clearly they don't seem to care or are bothered by any of this.

Please let me know what you can do to resolve this. I've read quite a few similar stories about this company online and all suggested contacting the company's local Revdex.com. Even if it were my actual debt, unfortunately I am on SSI Disability and simply cannot afford to even attempt to pay.

Jefferson capital systems LLC calls me on my cell phone daily. They never speak when I answer and they never leave a message. I only know the company name after calling the number back. I block the number but they change it and continue to illegally call my mobile phone anyway.

I have recently discovered collections on my credit report from Jefferson Capital Systems in the amount of $1,312. I called twice to have them send me a letter to file a police report since my identity was stole and I have no knowledge of this account. I have never received any form of Initial communication stating I was the consumer and without my knowledge or any form of initial communication this debt was also added to my credit report. The notice was not received in the allotted time given by the FDCPA for me to dispute or validate this alleged debt. For this reason I have no information on account number or file numbers. Jefferson Capital put collection on my credit reports without my knowledge and in doing so, this violated the FDCPA Collection Practice by placing a collection account on my credit report without sending a letter to me. I have asked that Jefferson Capitol System to verify this account with out getting any word back from them. I have been disputing this collection since April 2018. This account does not belong to me. I request that Jefferson Capitol verify the following information.
1. Full original Account Number
2. Date original Account was opened
3. Any written agreements between myself and the original creditor stating this debt is owed
4. Full account summary and itemized calculation of alleged debt 5. Date of the first delinquency 6. Dates and times of any phone calls made and to what number in attempt to contact me concerning the alleged debt before it was reported to an agency, and so proving that these calls were made in the times governed by FDCPA law.

If Jefferson Capital Systems is unable to provide the above identifying account information, this account must be deleted from all CRAs. Jefferson Capital Systems also failed to follow FDCPA by not sending a letter giving the consumer time to dispute or validate the alleged debt within the allowed 30-day time frame that is allowed by law.
