Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  I never heard back from these is!  It took almost three weeks to get refunded from...

their check cashing company.  Unacceptable!  I actually had to make numerous phone calls while on my vacation to make sure I was going to be refunded.  It should have never gotten to this point anyway.  They should have never electronically processed my check on March 25th without disclosing that to me because it was on a conditional basis based on the diagnostic report from my mechanic on the car.  They should have just held my check to the side.  I mean they had my new car that I drove to their dealership in as collateral in case I wanted to steel the 2005 Nissan Altima.  I just recently received two phone calls from them inquiring if I received the refund.  What...were they going to decide to write me a check if I still didn't receive the refund.  They should have done that to begin with.  Let it be known, poor business ethics and fraudulent mannerisms.

[redacted]

Wasted an entire work day trying to purchase a car from North Plainfield Nissan. A car they didn't have but showed us ON PAPER was at one of the other of "three dealerships we own". Tried my best to ignore the rape jokes being told in the managerial meeting next to us. Pinged my credit, put a deposit down, signed papers, shook hands, got a copy of the vin, and went to a celebratory lunch since they promised they would have the car delivered to them in three hours. Thought I was the owner of a new Murano! About an hour later received a phone call they COULD NOT PRODUCE THE CAR I SIGNED TO BUY. Wanted to bait and switch me to a different car located in another state that they would deliver "in a couple days", sight unseen AFTER I paid for it. I cannot believe the lack of honesty and transparency in this good ole boy environment. They make promises, put it in writing, and still renege. STAY AWAY from these crooked tough guys!

Good Afternoon
Please find attached repair order.  On 10/23/15 the customer came in and we completed repairs per the customer's complaint.
Thank you
Denise L[redacted]

We are the transport company. We received the order on centraldispatch.com. We picked up and delivered the vehicle as contracted. On 06.03.2016 we delivered the vehicle.
Dibre auto group llc (aka name for Jersey Nissan llc, marked on central dispatch that the vehicle was picked up by us on 06.02.2016, though the next day, when they received the vehicle, it was marked by them on centraldispatch.com as if the vehicle was not delivered. That was done to avoid the payment of $350.00 due.

The driver of our company arrived at their location early in the morning, unloaded the vehicle but due to some reasons could not with the vehicle so he parked it on the legal spot with our transporter tag. In few hours, when the company opened they found the vehicle parked in the street and with foul language (documented in the messages) informed us that the vehicle was vandalized it turned out to be a complete lie). At 11:00 AM the driver came back to give the key to the dealer and have them sign the bill of lading. He found the vehicle without any damage and the locksmith was working to open the vehicle. The driver gave them the key and asked them to sign the bill of lading. They refused to sign and pay for the vehicle. Furthermore they marked the vehicle not delivered on central dispatch.com to avoid the negative rating for not paying the transporter.
Here are the regulations by department of the transportation:
1. If there is any damage (there was actually none) the shipper is supposed to release the payment and open the claim at transporter's insurance;
2. before the vehicle is delivered, it is under ownership of the transport company and any attempt to open the vehicle without the notice, is illegal action.

The company representatives did not honor the contract, did not pay us for the job done.

Review: Went to buy a used car 2008 nissan sentra on October 31, 2014 at North Plainfield Nissan The car was listed for $3,997.00. when presented with the sales contract, I was charged $369.98 for a total loss protection insurance policy which the sales person insisted was a requirement to purchase. I advised him I did not want this insurance, but he stated it comes with all car sales. Later upon reading the contract it is clearly stated that the total loss protection policy is an OPTION.. I do not wish to have this insurance policy and would like it cancelled with a full refund of my $369.98. The deal # listed on the contract is : [redacted]. The stock # of the car is: [redacted]. Review: Good Afternoon:

On June 26,2014 I went to North Plainfield Nissan, as I was in the market to buy a car. I had received a letter from my bank [redacted] pre-approving me for a loan for a car and advising it would be through North Plainfield Nissan. When we arrived we explained the situation to the gentleman who was assisting us...after looking at several cars we found one which I thought would be the best choice for me. I was advised that I would need to give a $500.00 deposit to hold the car. I was told the deposit was 100%refundable by the salesperson. I asked several questions which included "what if I change my mind and don't want the car? What if I don't get approved for the deal? What if the deal doesn't work for me?...to which I was told then my money would be refunded. I was advised they would start the process the following Monday as the person who handles that area was not in at the time.

Bc I travel for a living I also explained that I would not be able to come back until July 4th, if they would be ok with that? .. I was told bc I was giving a deposit they would hold the car regardless.

On 7/14 I spoke to the sales person on the phone and advised that due to some u forseen circumstances I would not be able to go through with the purchase of the car. At that point no documents had been signed nor any deal discussed. I was asked if there was something they could do to change my mind I explained it was a personal situation and though I just wouldnt be in a position to purchase the car at that time. I rcvd a call from the Finance Mngr asking the same, I explained the same situation. I inquired about the refund and was told he would get back to me. After that I did not hear from him or Nissan for several weeks regardless of calls Ive placed. I visited them again in aug after numerous calls and was finally told by the Fnce Mngr that they would issue a Credit in my name per the GM. I was told its the policy, which had never been mentioned to me.Desired Settlement: I would like the full refund of my deposit. I have called and called for this. I took several months to have the Finance Mngr fonally give me a decision and was told a credit will b issued due to the work they had to do with phone calls to banks for the deal which never took place. I was told I would need to speak to the GM and yet after a month of calls and voice mails.no one has returned my call. This policy that I am now being told of was never explained, specially when I left the deposit and the guaranteed it would be 100% refundable. Had I known or been made aware of any documentation or fine print explaining this then I dfntly would not have left a refund. I would like this matter settled as soon as possible as we are going on almost 4 months of run around. I would have like to have this settled directly with them but unfortunately due to the lack of response I was not able to.Thank you.

Review: I came down to the dealership because they claim to honor the true car coupon . I spoke to Evelyn prior to coming down and I explained nationwide provided me with true car coupon and there dealership honors them .upon arrival I sat down and went threw three sales representatives due to no one being able to figure out what car and what vin number fit that actual coupon. After that they left me sitting down for over an hour because they knew I was schooled on how they do things with finance and so fourth. Finally Stuart a sales rep came and sat down to discuss what we we were trying to accomplish and I told him my car was a total loss and I was shopping for a car. So as we waited for paperwork to be faxed by my mom and ran credit it seemed like a deal was going to go threw a car was agreed on but I was under the impression that they were honering my true car price.everything was privately done behind my back as far as numbers and how much the car was actually coming out to with rolling in a negative balance. Nothing was ever spoken Stuart became very angry and annoyed with all the questions I was asking out of concern he barley answered them. I was at the dealership from 11 30 to 9 pm at night and finally got called into the finance department with Noel and he was very nasty and pushy because the dealership was closed and they were trying to get rid of me come to my surprise he said they were selling me the car for 19 910 and there were adding the negative balance in but this was a surprise to me nothing was discussed with me regarding how much I was financing I was so upset I signed the paperwork and before everything was set to go I took a walk around in the dark and noticed bad scuff marks on the car so they did right that it could be repaired but the next day which was Sunday I noticed scratch marks in the paint And the radio console was scratched so I did call Stuart to make an Apt my car is having collision work done and getting a new radio installed this situation is by far appallingDesired Settlement: I would like an exchange or a trade for an equal vechile in which has no defects

Review: On 11/18/14 I leased a 2015 Nissan Altima from North Plainfield Nissan. I brought in a promotional letter mailed to my home which stated that I could turn in my current lease and the dealership will cover all my lease return costs. Which means: no lease termination fees, No disposition fees, No charge for excess wear and tear, and No over mileage fees. I am issuing this complaint because the dealership did not honor the "no charge for excess wear and tear." I received a bill from Nissan in the amount of $361.07 for excess wear and tear for the vehicle I turned into North Plainfield Nissan for my new lease. I have contacted the dealership about this issue on 1/6/15 and 1/7/15. I have not heard back from the salesman / delivery coordinator that I dealt with on 11/18/14. His name is [redacted]. The promotional letter that I received was from the desk of [redacted], General Sales Manager. I had brought in the promotional letter on 11/18/14. Mr. [redacted] looked at it. He did not make any mention that the dealership could not honor what was indicated in the letter. I faxed the promotional letter and the invoice from Nissan to Mr. [redacted]'s attention. I have not heard back from him. Before I faxed over the information, I spoke with Mr. [redacted] on the phone. He said he would find out what he could do, but never contacted me again after we spoke on 1/6/15. I now have to pay the $361.07 for the excess wear and tear of the returned vehicle when the promotional letter clearly states that I would not be charged for excess wear and tear. I can supply Revdex.com with a copy of the promotional letter and the invoice from Nissan.Desired Settlement: I would like North Plainfield Nissan to reimburse the charges in the amount of $361.07 that have been billed to me by Nissan.

Review: North Plainfield Nissan (Jersey Nissan LLC) is continuing to advertise a car that is no longer in their possession. We went to look at it on 10/1/15 based on their advertisement on [redacted] and were told that that car was no longer on the lot and had been "wholesaled" that morning. That evening, I contacted the dealership to advise them to take their advertisement down, since it was still on [redacted] I received a reply telling me the vehicle was available, and asking when I could come look at it. I called the salesman we had met earlier that day, who confirmed that the car was in fact gone. The following morning, a member of their staff called me to ask if anyone had sent me a contract for that vehicle yet, or if they could do so.

As of 1:28pm today, Sunday October 4, 2015, North Plainfield Nissan is continuing to advertise the same car on [redacted] as well as [redacted].

Here is the VIN for your reference: [redacted]

[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like other consumers to be aware of the unscrupulous business practices of this dealership. [redacted] and [redacted] should also be alerted that this dealership's practices may negatively impact perception of their services.

Response:

Dear [redacted]I understand that you received phone calls and emails from one of our Internet representative, regarding the Suburu you saw online.I have investigated the matter with our Internet department who were responsible for the calls and emails. It appears that a the vehicle was being wholesaled the day you came in. Our used car management never communicated that information with our Internet department, therefore they never knew the vehicle was not here. Once the vehicle is marked sold or wholesaled in our system, it may take 2-3 days until its completely out of all third party sites we advertise on. The reason why the vehicle was listed in stock a few days later. I apologize for this and the inconvenience it has caused. I agree that on this occasion our service has not been to the high standards we aim to achieve. As a result of your complaint, our management team is reviewing the process in which we notify all necessary departments of any inventory change. With a few changes in this process our staff will ensure that this does not happen again.Thank you again [redacted], for bringing this to my attention. I hope this letter has resolved your concerns, but if you need any more information please contact me on my direct line [redacted]

Review: I bought a Nissan sentra 2012 on 09/04/2011, and the mufler fall off, when I bought the car they offer a gold plus ins according to sales representative covers " bumper to bumper"i went twice to dealer to see if they can repair cause am still paying the car and according to the dealer the car was brand new, they do not even bother to see my account of what type of insurance I have, when I question why this person laugh sarcastic ins will not pay that but they want to trade in for a new which I do not need yet , they only said muffler is not into the warranty; I bought 4 cars in that dealer and never had the problem before, I was wondering if it is normal that a muffler fel off from a new car after 3 years, cause if it is I will never buy a car in that dealer

Review: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: I have not received any solution to my problem Regards,[redacted]

Review: I purchased a used vehicle from the Dealership on 8/28/2015.

1. I bought this vehicle from a different state and could not be there in person, so I understand pictures cannot show everything. I asked if someone could do a walk around to verify if there were any scratches or dings on the vehicle. I expected there to be some as it is a 2 year old vehicle. I was told there were No scratches or dings on the vehicle. Upon receiving, there were the smaller scratches around that could be expected from normal wear. But, there were 2 larger scratches in particular that were deep enough to have touch up paint done on them and were very obvious. There also were 3 dings on a tire rim and a small dent in the hood. Again, I expected some scratches or wear, but would expect a dealership to be at least up front and honest about the condition when asked.

2. Upon receiving, we did not get Temporary Tabs to drive the vehicle legally. I would not have received them if I did not send/make multiple emails, texts and phone calls to finally get someone to respond and send to me. Dealership had no idea they were not included. Shouldn’t this be a standard practice? This dealership never responded to any of my emails or phone messages post purchase. Every time I called the dealership I was almost always put into voice mail.

3. Lastly, throughout this process I repeatedly inquired about the status of the permanent plates as I had a concern about the processing time. Especially since I never got the temp tabs to start with. Either there was no response or was assured "yes submitted for process-plates should be here any day” type responses. As the expiration date approached for the temp tabs I inquired again, no response. Finally the day before they expired I inquired multiple times again with phone calls and texts until I could get an answer. I was told the permanent plates were being overnighted. I did not receive the plates. I received the Jersey Title and check-No permanent plates.Desired Settlement: What came the next day was not the Permanent plates. I received a cost breakdown again, a refund check for the tax I paid (shorted by $8 for some reason) and the estimated Title Fee along with the car title still in Jersey Nissan’s name. No cover letter to explain anything, just some pages in an envelope left for me to figure out with the DMV. I was told over and over they would take care of getting the plates and the processing. I was charged a Doc fee of $449.97 for “Processing, Clerical and doc delivery” I did not get the permanent plates. It was left to me rush to the DMV after work by 5:00 to finish paperwork so I could get plates to be able to drive the vehicle legally the next day. I would request that fee to be refunded, but I rarely get a response so I'm requesting it through my complaint. Thank you.

Review: I purchased a car at North Plainfield Nissan in ** new jersey in July 2010. Car was totaled on February 2013. I bought a policy and gap in case car had malfuctions bcause it was a 2008 car. I went to the dealer on march 18, 2013 to cancel the policy because car was totalled. They told me I will be receiving some money's back from it. They told me to wait one month. I waited 2 months. I called directly the insurance company and they told me that they sent the monies on April 2013. I went twice to the dealer in july 2013 to resolve the matter and get my check. They keep telling me to call or to go to pick up a check and no one wants to deal with my case. My family spoke w/ [redacted] Nobody is resolving the matter. Review: We gave a security deposit for a car lease and after our credit approval failed they said they were going to refund the money within 2 days from that. 1. I had direct contact with the person who promised the money was going back to my account in 2 days and he never told me that you had such that problem, he just asked for more time.

2. He called me directly to that number so you can't say that.

3. The deposit was made with my debit card so it MUST/SHOULD have shown under my name (first: Herzon [redacted] - middle: [redacted] - last: [redacted]).

The deposit was already returned but you held it until the end of month to make it count as a "sale" from September, shame on you.

All offers MUST be original coupons and can only be redeemed once with NO photo copies. As a valued customer - we have offered [redacted] on several occasions the courtesy of a discount as a Good Faith gesture. I am attaching her service history, Many of her services are no charge. You can see we offered discounts. The only time that we did NOT is when we had to repair faulty repairs from another service center. At this time, we are not providing [redacted] with any monetary award (no reason to) nor a reimbursement of "coupons" since the discount is already stated. This claim is not at all valid or justified.SincerelyDenise L[redacted] CFO

I am rejecting this response because: they start by spelling my name wrong when you come to Jersey Nissan they say buy from us free oil change for life of car now they're writing to the Revdex.com many of her services are no charge I must state the last service record is false they checked my car in only remember we are in a dispute about my car and a 140$ voucher they will not honor they gave me my car back less the voucher because they lost it but they wrote up and sent you a copy of a unsigned oil change reason being they did not do an oil change for me they call my paperwork a copy they made a false documents My car has 98,000 Plus miles and you mean that's the only service records they have on someone who purchased extended warranty on the engine and transmission up to 100,000 miles that will be voided if the car is not maintained above free oil changes question are they going to address the voucher that they gave me for being a valued customer they did say that I was a valued customer on one hand now where is the other hand

Review: I purchased a car on September 8, 2014 from North Plainfield Nissan at 545 Route 22 W in New Jersey. They informed me that I would be contacted by phone call or email regarding my car registration and that I would have to inspect the vehicle myself in [redacted]. My interim dealer plates expired on 9/27, and despite several calls to the dealer, days and weeks prior to the expiration, speaking to my sales person on several occasions, and even to a manager to date I have yet to have received any information, nor registration, nor a call. I was asked to resend my insurance information which they already had at the time of purchase, and I did to no avail.

I will have to go register the vehicle myself and handle every thing in person to avoid breaking the law for a service I was already charged for by the dealer. Looking at how they are handled such a simple task, I questioned the validity of an extended warranty that I was informed I could not decline or else I would not qualify for a car loan and the purpose of a Gap insurance. After some research and inquiries I discovered that these alleged services were forced on me to raise the purchase price and the gap was also forced on me to cover an over priced vehicle.

I am filling this complaint due poor services and misleading business practice from a very large dealer with extensive resources.Desired Settlement: Refund of car registration fee of more than $150

Refund of extended warranty of more than $1500 for two years

Review: I purchased a 2014 rioguw nissan from North Plfd. Nissan/Jersey Nissan on rte 22 in North Plainfield NIssan late March 2014.I brought my own financing through [redacted] Approx.. end of April I received a notice from [redacted] asking me for the title of the rogue. I advised them I do not have it I contacte No. Plfd. Nissan and spoke with the salesman [redacted] who checked with finance and advised me the title wet to [redacted] and It would take approx. four to six weeks to correct the matter. I notified [redacted] of what I was told and they advised me they would make the appropriate notes on my account. This Friday, 5/31/2014 I received another latter, stronger in tone, advising within 15 days if matter not resolved my loan would revert to an unsecured loan and my payments would be higher. I immediately contacted the salesman [redacted] at North Plfd. Nissan and left word on his voice mail and next I contacted No, Plfd. Nissan and spoke with [redacted], the mgr., who advised me this was a mistake made by the finance dept. because they put [redacted] on the Title not [redacted]. He advised he would call me back on Friday before 5pm and call me on Monday, 6/2/2014. I did not receive a call on Friday. I am terribly upset, because all this time has gone by and I feel they are very cavalier about the whole matter. I feel like I am being held hostage for a mistake No Plfd. Nissan has made. I am not in a position to have my car loan go to an unsecured loan.Desired Settlement: a corrected title expedited to [redacted] asap, preferably this week. I feel enough time has elapsed.; I also want to receive some type of correspondence from North Plainfield Nissan that this matter is resolved and when the Title will be forwarded to [redacted]. If the matter is not resolved this week I will be contacting my attorney for assistance in revolving this matter.

Business

Response:

Please be advised that YES - a human error was made. As soon as Nissan made us aware if it - we immediately began to correct. My MV Clerk is actively working on this. Unfortunately, when dealing with legal State of NJ issues, many times, the time it takes is longer than we anticipate.I will continue to follow up daily with my DMV clerkI do not see a need for our mutual customer to obtain council, there is nothing an attorney can do to expedite this. The dealership has the obligation to the FCU, not the customer. We deposited the check, therefor assume liability. This situation has no negative effect on the customer's loan, relationship or credit standing. As stated - I will continue to follow upThank you[redacted]Corporate Controller

Response:

Please note the above matter was resolved with my constant intervention with North Plainfield Nissan and the [redacted] To my knowledge from conversations with the mgr. and at Nissan it did not appear there was any intervention of your part. Basically it was sloppy paperwork, putting two companies on a Title, Nissan and [redacted], so I was told. Please note I did send an email and I also called the Revdex.com regarding the issues I was being confroned with.
