Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/02/08) */
Our records indicate at the time of sale of the pre-owned vehicle the tires were at the required safety standardsUsed Car Director *** *** left Mr*** a message on Friday Feb5, Mr*** returned the call on Sunday Feb7th,
and said he will call again on Monday Feb8th, to speak with Used Car Director *** *** and discuss his concerns in regards to tires
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/02/10) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Spoke with *** ***, Used Car Dir.,Crown Toyota, who explained that we would have to drive the hour to their dealership for them to examine the carHis manner was very professional but we are still stuck with VW telling us the tires need replacement and Crown saying they were fine 2,miles agoWe will go to an independent tire dealer to verify VW claims (they have no incentive to misrepresent the tire condition) and then, unfortunately, likely have to drive an hour to Ontario, CA to visit the dealershipOne has to wonder that if either the tires are worn or the car was in disrepair when it was sold
Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 10, 2016/02/24) */
***,
First, thank you kindly for reaching out to cheon the situationIt is gratifying to see an organization that truly cares about consumers
Second, we did have to drive an hour out to *** Elway Crown Toyota to have them look at the tiresThe head of used cars, *** ***, was very accommodating and helpfulHe agreed the tires were very low on tread for the little amount of mileage and thought perhaps it had been driven hard by my sonI sort of doubt that based on my sone but he could be right since I can't prove it either wayNonetheless, *** agreed to replace the front two tires free of chargeThe tires they put on were not the same performance type brand, Pirelli, that were on the car when I bought it or the same kind that are on the rear of the car from the time of purchaseThey put on a Toyota brand that is similarly rated*** was great and I guess I understand their wanting to put on their own tires but the original purchase was for a car with Pirelli's so it is a little suspicious to meMy worry is that having two different brands unbalances things a little but I'm fine with the resultThe cost of the Pirellis' would have been around $
No matter, they did address our issue and I am satisfied with the result and the attention that *** *** gave to usWhile I have zero proof of this I can't help but believe that were it not for the Revdex.com and other negative posts that I put up that I never would have gotten any attention as I didn't get any from their customer service rep initiallyThat is conjecture on my part so you can take it for what it is worth
Thank you kindly for reaching out to me, to them, and to providing an invaluable service for consumers
Best,
*** ***

Vehicles for different automakers were recalled to replace frontal airbags on the driver’s side or passenger’s side, or both in what NHTSA has called "the largest and most complex safety recall in U.Shistory."
The airbags, made by major parts supplier Takata, were mostly installed in cars
from model year through
As one of the top leading Toyota Dealerships we tried our best to work thru the Takata airbag recall situation as best as we could
Mr*** was provided a newer model rental car to drive for months at no charge while his vehicle was stored awaiting replacement parts
Toyota has denied Mr***’s request to paint his vehicle and the Dealership found no basis to paint the Toyota Corolla which had 83,miles at time of storage
The Dealership has offered Mr*** a trade in allowance over the current market value for his Toyota Corolla at 83,miles , which he has refusedAt this time we have exhausted all avenues for Mr***

I am rejecting this response because: The people I have spoken to at John Elways Crown Toyota have never given me a valid explanation as to why the contract was wrong. Each time I called, they played the old passing the buck game'you need to talk to him or you need to talk to her'My family and I purchased at least cars from Crown Toyota, and this is how I get treated... *** ***

Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 6, 2016/03/30) */
This issue has been RESOLVED and the complaint needs to be retracted

I am rejecting this response because: The waiver that Toyota had me sign does not cover vehicle damage due to dealership negligence, therefore they are liable for the paint damageI attached the waiver that was provided to me by Toyota Management at John Elway's Crown ToyotaCustomer relations highlighted the following section: Section “Customer is hereby notified that the said property
is not insured or protected to the amount of the actual cash value thereof, or
otherwise, against loss occasioned by theft, fire or vandalism while the
property remains with the dealer.” The paint damage to my vehicle was clearly caused due to negligence and could have been avoided if Toyota stored my vehicle in a covered parking garage or if they simply placed a car cover on itThe service adviser at Toyota did not allow me to store my vehicle in my own garage while driving a courtesy rentalTherefore I did not have a choice if I wanted to stop driving a vehicle that had a safety recall at the time The paint damage could have also been avoided if the dealership did not attempt to wash my car at the time of pick up with all the dirt and sand that was covering my vehicle after months. The recall was not something that I could control but Toyota could have avoided the damage to the paint on my vehicleI ask that Toyota takes responsibility and does the right thing by fixing the paint damage that was caused due to their negligence. Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/11/25) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

? I am rejecting this response because? when we went to Crown John Elway Crown Toyota we requested that they run a credit score one time and we made that clear to *** *** before he ran the credit because we were in the process of buying a house ? and we know the importance of required ? he assured us that he understood this and that it was only beer and once ? through Toyota services and they ended up running our credit more than six times through other companies like Capital One Auto, Arrowhead Credit UnionEctWe agreed to them running our credit score one time with the verbal agreement of *** *** stating that it would only be through Toyota Financial*** *** also told us he was taking it off of my credit score and two of them had already been removed which it has not been so this is not only lying to the customer and bad customer service it shows they are not for the customer there are for profit I want the other inquiries removed off of your credit report they did not have our consent

? I am rejecting this
response because:
All I can say is that we believe that when we agreed to purchase the car the services will be included (that's what we've been told by them when they're selling the car to us; that it's cheaper to buy the services from them than with the Lexus, so we agreed to their offer because we told them that I can't afford to pay over $a month-and afterwards we stretch over that amount so that we don't have to worry about paying for services)So we're kind of upset with thisThey're offering us $more for yrs/55,miles We think it's a rip-off since it should have been included They say it's not in the contract, I don't know but we trusted them so I just sign whatever documents they tell me to sign since I only think of the car that it's nice and that I thought we had a good dealThanks

Crown Toyota has worked with customer and has addressed vehicle concerns. see below:     Per service history for 2014 Nissan on...

9/21/17 vehicle was inspected at Empire Nissan and found a damaged wire on the push start system and repaired it.     Customer towed vehicle in to Crown Toyota  for no start on 9/27/17 vehicle sent to Empire Nissan for diagnose. They were unable to duplicate any problems with the vehicle. Advised customer brake pedal must be pressed when start button is pressed in order     for vehicle to start.      Customer returned to Crown Toyota on 11/8/17 for auto headlights would not turn off automatically Crown Toyota found no codes and all electrical systems passed inspection, advised customer to return to Empire Nissan for further diagnosis.       Each time the vehicle has been in the shop there were no codes and vehicle had no problem starting for the Dealer.      at this time Crown Toyota is willing as a goodwill gesture to discuss possible trade in . The customer can contact used car director [redacted] at ###-###-#### to explore option of possible trade-in.

I am rejecting this response because: from my understanding it was 1000 dollars to fix it. Not diagnose it. No one spoke with me in regards to that price. I guess someone told my boyfriend and then my boyfriend told me. But from what was said to me. It was to fix it. I’m upset because I didn’t sign anything saying it’s ok. If it was to fix it yes. Ok fix it. But that much to diagnose it I would of said no.
