Dear Ms***, The additional “warranty” you purchased was actually an MPP Extended Service Contract which, as you stated, would have covered additional wear-and-tear items that the manufacturer’s limited warranty may not have. You obviously saw the benefit at the time or you would not have elected the coverage. That you chose not to read (by your own admission) what you were signing is your burden. That you thought your lease was a 39-month term versus the 36-months disclosed in your SIGNED LEASE AGREEMENT does not make any sense as presented. In addition to your LEASE AGREEMENT, your lessor has a standard practice of contacting their lessees well in advance of the lease termination to both remind them of the approaching termination date and to offer them various lease-end options. These contacts are generally in the form of postal-mail and emailed correspondence. Regarding the MPP coverage from 36K to 39K, if you had turned in your vehicle at the end of the months as anticipated, you would have been able to request a pro-rated refund of the unused portion of the Extended Service Contract.Let’s address your being advised that dealers are not “allowed” to sell any “warranty” other than Ford’s. First of all, dealers don’t sell warranties. The warranty is provided by the manufacturer. Dealers sell Extended Service Contracts, which offer flexibility in areas of specific coverages, terms, and transferability. Secondly, dealers (as independent franchised operators) are free to choose which, if any, Extended Service Contract company they choose to do business with. This would include Ford’s own offering, ESP. In closing, while it is unfortunate that by your own admission you either did not read and/or understand the paperwork provided to you in conjunction with your transaction, Peoria Ford is neither responsible for any over-mileage penalties nor obligated to refund any monies for a product that was in-force for the duration of the disclosed term

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
The response for Peoria Ford is inaccurate I several accounts first the damage is not slight that it could barely be noticed. The car was is like new condition and the service rep even commented on how flawless the exterior looked. It should it was garage kept at home and work. Secondly no offer was ever made. Thirdly I called the police on to provide a record of what happened as Peoria Ford never contacted meThirdly, when I asked about the tapes they didn't know it they were completely reviewed for both daysFourthly, they refused to let me see the tapes for both days without a court order. Finally, the car was spotless when I dropped it off as I just cleaned it; when I bought it home it had stormed the night before and was covered in dust and dirt spotsThe fresh damage which the controller even admitted was freshly done was covered in dirt from the night before. There is a gap or half truths here that are not adequately explained by the dealer. They seem to gloss over several facts one it was inspected by their staff before the service was done and there was no damage and when I brought it home the damage was covered in dirt from the storm the night before at the dealership. The controller clearly stated they were not responsible regardless and to file a claim with my insurance. For all I know they locked the keys in the car and a service tech pried the door open to get it open, but I cannot believe they would do something like that. It still wouldn't explain why the Tags were taken as well.

Customer was refunded his entire down payment. There was some timing isssues of refunding due to check signers not present when customer came in.  Customer stated he was retacting complaint, however, it seems he did not.  This case sould be closed due to settlement requested by...

1.   The response is 10months later because was never received by business
2.   Most loans set up at any dealership are on generic loan docs which can be placed at any financial institution based on what the contract states.
3.   Although Desert SChools may be quoting you a particular rate, they may not of offered it to the dealer at that particular time.
As I stated previously I would see if I could get the loan re-processed through Desert Schools, But it appears you stated you already did that.  No issue still exist so nothing to be rectified.  If there is any more issues I will be more than happy to address them.

Dear Mr. [redacted],

We are sorry for your inconvenience.  However, we have processed your title and registration paperwork multiple times with the MVD.  It appears there may be an issue with your mail delivery.  As such, if you have still not received your plates by the time...

you receive this correspondence, you will probably be asked to either come to the dealership or an MVD branch to p[redacted] them in person.

Sincerely,

All used cars are sold as--is, what the paperwork clearly states.  This repair is 2 months after the sale and would not even be covered by a good will gesture something within in days of purchase.   Peoria ford hold customer service priority number 1, so Peoria ford would be happy to do...

the repairs at cost of the customer would like us to.   Used cars are priced accordingly because of the miles and condition.   If any further questions or issues need to be addressed please feel free to contact me. Patrick H[redacted]

I am not sure I should accept the response, as the response doesn't include a resolution and if I accept...

this complaint may close unresolved.  Therefore I have rejected the response. I did want to add that [redacted] Ford instructed me to call Ford Credit and file a complaint. I spoke with Ford Credit on Wednesday June 14, 2017. Joan advised me that it appeared from the MPP Warranty policy that Peoria Ford meant to set me up with 39 month lease with 39K miles as that is exactly what the warranty policy was for.  She said it would not make sense for a car dealership to sell a warranty for a time frame that would not match the lease. She told me that filing a complaint with Peoria Ford is my best option and agreed that the lease and MPP did not align.I would also like to reiterate that I have been told by [redacted] Ford and Rick Ridings Ford that Ford is not to sell warranty from other companies than Ford.  They also discourage customers from purchasing any warranty offers that come in the mail. I was also advised that I would not have needed this warranty due to the warranty Ford already provides on new cars. I trusted the finance person that I needed additional warranty and purchased based off his recommendations.  I trusted this dealer.  Being that I truly didn't need warranty, I would like that refunded.  I would also like mileage charge paid from Ford Credit as I was under 39,000 as thought was my lease.I appreciate your time.

Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.  The company offered a partial refund to the consumer in which he accepted.

Dear Revdex.com,

Upon receiving this complaint, we reached out to Mr. [redacted] in an attempt to get clarification and work towards a resolution.

The final resolution agreed to by all was that Mr. [redacted] would re-purchase his trade-in (Civic), with the deal structured such that he...

would receive some cash back that he could apply towards the deficiency balance he referenced in his complaint.

This new transaction was entered into on 2/3/17 and as such, I believe Peoria Ford considers this issue addressed and resolved.

Sincerely,

This response is almost 10 months late. That is a ridiculous reponse time.B) The rate my bank offered was still valid. I called them to verify that before I even called and complained to Peoria Ford.C) The male finance officer I dealt with did not apologize nor did he offer to help me move to loan. I had to move the loan to my bank on my own.

Dear [redacted], I have reviewed your deal file and have found the following:  The deal documents and binding Retail Installment Contract you signed reflect an agreed upon vehicle price of $29,756.  There is no reference to an “internet price” of $24,370.    However,...

the $24,370 number that is on the title and registration paperwork is the base MSRP of the vehicle before any options.  This is the value that DMV uses for title and registration purposes and has no bearing on the negotiated price of the vehicle.  Your vehicle, by the way, had a final MSRP of $31,265 which you negotiated down to a vehicle purchase price of $29,756.  So to your reference of “being screwed” out of $5,386, you were inaccurately comparing apples to oranges.  As far as the IRS, you were appropriately taxed on the final purchase price after any and all adds, taxes and fees.As you stated, you were able to review all deal documentation prior to signing.  If you had questions, that would have been the most appropriate time to ask them and gain clarification. It is unfortunate that you would end your complaint with “I would not recommend Peoria Ford to anyone” as we performed exactly as stated and agreed to by yourself.

Mr. [redacted] came into the dealership again on Monday 9/12/16 with the issue.  This time we were able to identify the fault codes and were able to resolve the issue on that day.  He spoke with our Service Management and even indicated he may withdraw this complaint as the issue was cured. -...

[redacted] was contacted and apolgized to for the experience she had at the dealership.  $297, as she requested, was refunded and sent to home address.  Even though refund was given, product was given to customer for compensation for the experience and recommended she use it to...

Mr. [redacted] specifically requested that he be given his plate so he could dispose of it himself.

Revdex.com: Please be sure to Post the “response” from H[redacted] at Peoria Ford on your public website, so that future Consumers who utilize Revdex.com as a resource in their decision-making regarding a car dealer with whom to do business may see exactly the caliber of individual and company they would be dealing with if they were to make the mistake of going there. To our fellow Consumers: Please see and pay attention to the large number of Negative Reviews and Complaints that have been filed against H[redacted] and his henchmen B[redacted], S[redacted], F[redacted] et al., aka Peoria Ford. Like all the other Complainants and Dissatisfied Customers, we were lied to, cheated, deceived, and defrauded in a systematically criminal manner, meaning Peoria Ford has a well-rehearsed game-plan to steal from the Consumer, and a legion of stooges who are schooled in teaming up and executing their dishonest practices. WE got ripped off by going to Peoria Ford – don’t let it happen to you – stay far away!

Mr. [redacted],
Our position has not changed.  We attempted to resolve your issues, you claim we made it worse and stipulated you do not want anyone else from Peoria Ford to attempt to fix it.  If you do not wish to take us up on our previously submitted offer, that is your choice.
Pat H[redacted]

The dealer disposed of the plates before making sure the bank would finance the car
