Dear [redacted] ,We are very sorry for your damaged items, please contact our Claims department for any claimsAnthem Claim Management: ###-###-#### [redacted] Regarding the price change, you did have more than you stated on the list of itemsThe price changed because more items was added to the original list of items on the day of the moveYou were aware of the new total price before the crew even start to work, and the binding estimate of cost was signed before the crew started to work.Sincerely,***s R [redacted] Out Of State Moves.?

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: Here is my Response to their reply:My initial contact to Noa was on We spoke at length about my upcoming small move and the need to have the belongings delivered to Florida no later than After discussing costs, we agreed to have a truck come to the house on Thursday, I explained to Noa the importance and imperativeness of the agreed delivery and I was assured it would not be a problem My son was already in his apartment a week without any furnishings and a bed and just enough clothes for a day or so He is also attending graduate school there and would be unable to take off from classes and his studies to receive his belongings after Sunday 8/30/ All this was explained to Noa and she ASSURED me this would not be a problem I get a call back from Noa and was informed that the truck she promised me for the Thursday pick up was not available and told me she had a truck that could come by Saturday Again, I told her the importance of the following Friday or Saturday delivery and again she ASSURED me it would not be a problem. The truck came on Saturday The "foreman's" name is Carlos Carlos gave me every indication that he would be the one driving to Florida in the truck they drove to my house He also told me that they would be leaving the New York area on Wednesday morning Not so He lied to me He knew very well that they were only acting as a "middle man" and had no intention of delivering my things to Florida In fact, he knew very well that the truck and different company that eventually did deliver my things would not be leaving New York until Friday He even knew that the truck that would be making the delivery would be too big to make it through residential streets and also knew it would cost more money Carlos knew the importance of making good on their promises to deliver on time But he and his company will do and say anything to get your things packed up because once they are on the truck you are at their mercy "All the information was not keep from [redacted] " In fact, yes it was All information was not divulged to me Had I known ahead of time that that they would not be leaving NY until Friday, I would have gone with a different company I was lied to." [redacted] preferred to have the delivery on weekends so his son wouldn't have to take a day offAs always, we explained this to [redacted] that we can only do the best we can to accommodate but, we did not promise him any delivery date." Originally we agreed upon Friday, 815, as our delivery date I was promised that they would do everything possible to get the things there by that date More lies."Besides [redacted] signed and agreed by law we can take up to business days for deliveryHow ever, we did delivered to [redacted] 's Son on Monday instead of Saturday or Sunday due to HURRICANE ERIKA down in Florida." Fact I personally never signed anything! Fact The national weather service categorized Erica as a Class one hurricane when it was still out in the middle of the Atlantic ocean several days before it was to make landfall By the time it reached land it was downgraded several time to a Tropical wave.....less than a tropical depression It was nothing more than a storm with mild wind and rain A far cry from a hurricane Besides, had the truck left when we were told it was going to leave on Wednesday morning, 815, Erica would have been a moot point as they would have arrived two days prior to her making landfall regardless of what class she was categorized Again....more lies by this company." [redacted] 's calls was not made with in hours of operation; calls to our office worker's personal phone; [redacted] hung up, and refuse to work with the only person who can give him direct information from A to Z" Fact Both Noa and Carlos gave me their mobile numbers and told me to call them if I had problems Noa even told me I could text her When I was informed by my son that the driver of the truck (not Carlos and not Out of State Movers) could not make delivery by the promised time, Friday, Saturday or even Sunday, I called Noa She did not answer When problems arose the following day on Monday, when the truck was finally in Florida but couldn't make it into the complex because it was way to big for residential streets, I again text and called Noa with no response I then made phone calls to the business directly on Tuesday and Wednesday leaving messages and wanting to speak with Noa, but she never returned any of my calls The person who eventually called me back was uninformed and a business puppet I asked specifically to talk to Noa since she was the person with whom I dealt with the most but I was blown off.I want a total of $in restitution $for reimbursement of the extra money spent to have the belonging hand delivered to my sons apartment because the truck was too big Another $for the tip which I was coerced to give Carlos and his gang of thieves They should GET NOTHING! And lastly, another $for my aggravation and having my son take time away from his studies on Monday to take delivery of his items I think $is a fair and reasonable amount for restitution Right now they are lucky I feel this way as I may pursue legal and punitive damages in small claims courtThank you for this opportunity to explain my side of the story[redacted] In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

[redacted] was quote cubic feet @ per cubic feet = $1,base on the items [redacted] provided us.The term Cubic feet is measure by the space you will use for your move.Again , the binding flat rate ($per cubic feet) will not and cannot be change by us or the customer regardless if you have more or less on the day of the move[redacted] paid more because she had added more items to her original listItems not on the original list were:*file cabinets*Pictures*queen size bed frame*queen size box spring*end table*wardrobe boxThese are no small items at all.On the day of the move [redacted] agreed and signed the contractKnowing that she added extra items to the original quote which resulted higher in the price. The flat rate did not changeThe cubic feet increased

We have paper work indicates [redacted] understood and signed [redacted] ’s quote was a list of Items that he needs to moveOn the day of the move the list of items changed from items to itemsThe point is The items increased from the original quote given by [redacted] , therefore the price was adjusted to the added extra itemsThe boxes are in different sizesWe filled up each boxes just to save up space [redacted] agreed to that as wellInstead of leaving boxes unfilled to take up more space in the truckFinally, contract that [redacted] has in his possessions is the same contract we have in our fileThey are copies on one contractWe apologize for any inconvenience

After reviewing [redacted] ’s full contract, we have all the proof that [redacted] were aware of the delivery could take up to days, provided his signature / signed by the customer .Yes, the foreman assigned to [redacted] ’s job been in this industry for almost yearsThis is what he doesMost customers like to be told the truth, and some doesn’t like to hear the truthWhen the price goes up because of the shipment takes up more space [redacted] did not want to understand.Yes, [redacted] complained about how long the contract isThe contract is a contractWe did not make it extra long This is for all our customers, and is by rules and regulations.Yes [redacted] expect the deliver from NY- FL on a trailer in dayBy law drivers must not exceed hours of work a day, this is including ..work, driving, and breaks.Yes, [redacted] also signed the acknowledgement of the shuttle fee in case there will be restrictions or long carry on the delivery.Yes the insurance coverage is the basic insurance of cents per pound any legit moving company will provided This is what the law says, we did not decided to give cents per pound because we like this Number. The contract was explained in person before any work can be doneOnly when the customer understood all, and the contract is signed then, the crew can start the process of the moveThis is a practice we do in every job our foreman did just that

RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: [If Out of State would have been responsive in a timely matter - it could have been resolved already. Since they did not - the file must remain open until resolution is reached.] In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above. Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: [Your Answer Here] Responding the Moving Co's answers: First of all, the "additional" items they added were false, as follows: *file cabinets (these were VERY SMALL, PLASTIC file "cabinets, 1' wide x 2' tall (picture attached)*Pictures (The pictures were actually packed (poorly) in the large boxes provided by the moving companyThey DID NOT CREATE extra roomThey were NOT PACKED SEPARATELY.*queen size bed frame (EVERY BED COMES WITH A BED FRAMEDID THEY EXPECT DIFFERENTLY? They broke the Bed Frame down and stood it upright in the truck (probably roughly 5" wide) *queen size bed box spring (Again, EVERY BED comes with a Box Spring! Did they expect me to put my mattress on the floor? This is part of the bed and they knew it would be part of the move)*end table (my "end tables" are barely feet tall and about 10" wide They were stacked on top of one another(and weigh about pound each)*wardrobe box - I was NEVER given an actual wardrobe box In fact the mover (Carlos) specifically suggested he "lay" my clothes flat in the boxes so as to take up less room In these boxes is where he "stacked" my clothes, coats, pictures, bedding all together Pictures were not properly wrapped, rather "folded" in the clothes so they would not break (which did break) Last, the company keeps leaving out a VERY important issue which is my MATTRESS I was quoted (by [redacted] 2-3x) that the mattress would be properly wrapped in plastic for sanitation Carlos (the mover) also specifically said (on the day of the move) he would take my mattress downstairs and wrap it in plastic However, this NEVER happened They placed a basic "moving blanket" on the bed which only covered half (at most) of the bed They put tape around it, yet it did NOT cover the bed When I received the bed, the blanket was falling off the mattress, and most of the mattress was not covered This means it traveled across the country (roughly days) without proper sanitation And now there is a tear on the bottom of the mattress.I am asking for $due to their negligence on the way they moved my mattress AND for falsely quoting me an unfair price The "extra" items they listed above are completely INACCURATE Every bed comes with a frame and boxspring!! And an actual "wardrobe" box was never provided to me The "file cabinets" fit under a cabinet themselves are so small (picture attached) I am asking this to be resolved in a timely manner before needing to take additional action [redacted] In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
Firstly, I'd like to thank Out of State Movers for giving me a responseIn response to Out of State Movers response about boxes being torn and dismantled, please take a look at the uploaded photos depicting their negligence to some of my belongingsThe U-Haul box was brand new, and though they may not have packed it themselves, I respectfully doubt their box is much better than that of U-haulThough I did pack some of my stuff myself, I still had some miscellaneous objects, one of which was my memory foam. There was no care to the handle of my memory foam, which the driver did not boxThough you can't explicitly see in the photo, there were smudge stains all over my memory foamThat was the tipping point for me because a memory foam is for your bed, it's a sense of comfort and should be handle with careMy robust storage cabinet is now fragile because the corners have been disconnected, as seen in the photoWhich leads me to question, "Did they not secure my belongings for the long distance move"I also had suitcases, of which did not need boxing, rather just secure fitting in the truckTwo of my suitcases wheels are now broken, and there is much smudges and stainsTo the point of the $costI told the driver who picked up my belongings at storage (in NJ) I am in a residential area on Stanford University CAMPUSThere was no mention about a 70-foot trailer delivering my belongings, nor the additional charge for a smaller truckThey told me this a day before their arrival, and I told them that I don't believe it would fitOnce it arrived, it was clear they had to stay on the main street and bring in my belongingsThe driver threatened to leave with my belongings and for me to contact him the next day for the smaller truckAnd in regards to the $discount, yes, he is correct they gave me a discount because of the delayed arrival of my belongingsI appreciate that, but do not see any correlation to the additional cost of $for getting a smaller truckIf I informed them in New Jersey that I live in a residential area on campus (a school campus), is that not enough advance notice for them to plan accordingly?Overall, I hope I am communicating that the quality of this service is misleading; from the point of contact on the phone, having the representative explain the easy-going service, to my belongings actually arriving with the additional costThe service was truly horrendous
