TTI received Ms [redacted] complaint and the issue was swiftly escalated to TTI’s safety department as TTI treats safety claims with highest level of concernMs [redacted] requested monetary compensation in order to ship the product back to TTI, for which TTI awarded TTI proceeded to: 1-test the product in question, 2-resolve any issuesTTI investigated Ms [redacted] ’ product and found that the product was fully functional without defectTo help resolve the matter, TTI safety informed Ms [redacted] of the proper method to operate the product by 1-describing the method by which string is advanced, 2-informing Ms [redacted] of proper operation of the product, and 3-directing Ms [redacted] to the operator’s manual which describes functionality, proper use, and safety precautionsMs [redacted] ’ claim of defect is a misunderstanding of the functionality, as the manner by which the product advances string is different from other trimmers in the marketMs [redacted] ignored TTI safety’s instruction regarding functionality, and has also ignored the instruction to wear protective clothing while operating the productTTI regrets any inconvenience this may have caused Ms [redacted] , and is happy to continue direct conversations through TTI safety with additional concerns
Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint The design of the battery charger is such that if a battery is left in the charger after the charge cycle is complete, the battery charge state light stays on and slowly discharges the batteryAs a result of the design of the charger the batteries will then discharge to a point where they cannot be rechargedThis has caused separate batteries that were working perfectly to become unusable after being left on the chargerI have attached the manual for the [redacted] chargerPage of the manual, right hand column bullets and describes this: "After charging is complete, the green LED will remain on until the battery pack is removed from the charger or charger is disconnected from the power supplyWhen batteries become fully charged, unplug the charger from the power supply and remove the battery pack." In my view this is poor product design; a charger should not need to be unplugged and it should not drain the battery to the point where the battery can no longer be used when a charging cycle is completeThank you for considering my concerns and I look forward to hearing back from you Regards, [redacted]
