Kargar Motors Reviews (86)

I will never purchase a car from such unprofessional, dishonest dealers in my life! I felt rushed through the process to sign paperwork (which I didnt) before I even test drove, looked at, or received a Carfax. I have never been so disrespected in my life from supposedly grown professional men. I gave Dwayne and Julius $100 down to hold the 2003 [redacted] in return they promised to take ALL advertisements down! I look on Craigslist a couple days later and the SUV was back up. I called Dwayne on this issue and he refused to give me the $100 back and on top of that he hung up in my face! Julius continuously called my phone after I've confirmed multiple times of the pick up date. I would never recommend Kargar Motors to anyone and I have never felt so disrespected in my life! Bad business.
Julius and Dwayne have made my experience with dealers horrible and I'm so happy I did not accept the pressure to sign ANYTHING! Beware future buyers there very manipulative and conning and really NOT knowledgeable about the cars they're selling!

I purchased a car from Kargar motors last week and Mike H[redacted] was very helpful, took care of a few issues with the vehicle, great dealership, nice people. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a car.

Review: Purchased a vehicle from Kargar Dealers on 4/12/16. I inquired about the condition of vehicle prior to purchase and was told car in good condition. I asked if vehicle would pass a MD State inspection because the car had to be titled and tagged in MD, where I reside. I was assured it would pass with flying colors and that it was inspected in VA and passed. On 4/19/16, the car was taken to a MD inspection station and the car failed due to major issues. I was advised by the inspector to return the vehicle because it had major rust issues underneath in addition to the following issues: no parking brake needs replacement, replace exhaust, lube front end, replace fuel filter mount, replace windshield, replace left front wheel bearing, replace right front body mount and the one behind it, replace left rear brake line too close to spring, replace 2 front tires and rear close. These were the findings.

I contacted the dealer the same day after getting the results of the inspection to inform them of the findings. I asked about returning the vehicle and was told I could not return the vehicle unless I wanted to do a voluntary repossession. I asked if they would make the repairs to the truck, because I was told the car would pass and there are major issues wrong with the vehicle. It makes me wonder if the car was really inspected in VA. The dealer asked me to fax the list of repairs which I did. I called the dealer several times and then the dealer called back 2 to say it was my problem and they were not going to repair or fix anything. For the amount of money I paid for the vehicle, it should not require $5000 worth of repairs just to get it up to the suitable standard to pass an inspection to get the car titled and tagged. The dealer misrepresented the condition of the vehicle and I think they should bare some responsibility in the repair costDesired Settlement: The dealer should pay for the cost to repair the major issues with the vehicle so it is able to pass the MD State Inspection. If the dealer refuses to pay, would like to void contract, return the vehicle and return of down payment/trade.

Response:

To whom it may concern We do not guarantee MD inspection. We also have that posted on the wall when you walk in right in front of you. There is no way any one said that it will pass MD inspection. We always tell our clients that our vehicles have gone through VA inspection. I see that this customer is stating that it needs a lot of work to pass MD inspection and I really think that the inspector is trying to make a lot of money out of this. I don't think it needs all that. To ask if they can return the vehicle I am sorry to say but the answers NO. That vehicle does not belong to us it belongs to a bank. How ever we would love to help with some repairs. We would like our client to take this vehicle to another inspector that is not greedy and then we can see what we can help with. Tell us why here...

Response:

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. If there was any indication that the vehicle would not have passed an inspection, I would not have purchased the vehicle. In addition, the Inspection Certification Virginia State Police dated 12/22/15, states that the brakes, the exhaust system, fuel system, and windshield is ok. This inspection certification does not state the facts. The dealer and the VA inspection station fraudulently misrepresented the condition of the vehicle. Due to the fraudulently misrepresentation, the vehicle is inoperable and can not be tagged and titled in the state in which I reside. I am making payments for a car that I can not drive that is one month old and requires some major work that was not disclosed initially. To add insult to injury, on Tuesday, 5/17/16, the salesman from the dealer called stating that I owed an additional $500 for tags and title and wanting to know when they could expect it. I informed him that my vehicle was un-drivable because it can not pass a state inspection. The salesman stated he was going to talk to someone to see what could be done. I have not heard anything more. I just want the major repairs made so I can tag, title and drive the vehicle that I am required to make payments on. I am looking for a speedy resolution.

Regards,

Business

Response:

The business reached out to Revdex.com with additional documents showing the customer was not asked for additional fees for tags and Title but has a promissory note outstanding. The business requested additional documentation from the customer as well as the promissory note to be paid. Once that is paid the vehicle can be processed for tags.

Response:

I attempted to upload my documents in response to Kargar and I hit "ok", prior to typing my message and they website would not let me edit my response. I am sending my response as well as additional documentation to show repair orders needed to meet and pass an inspection. I took the vehicle to an established franchise found in many states for repair, which is different from original inspection place and the same issues were found. I do not want to go back and forth with the company, I purchased the vehicle on good faith that the information regarding the VA inspection was correct. However, this transaction was fraudulent based on the major issues found with the vehicle. I would like for the Kargar to pay for the major repairs i.e. the exhaust system, the parking brake, the body mounts, front wheel bearings, faulty brake line, windshield, and fuel filter mount. I am hoping to get this resolve ASAP and I have been more than patience and trying to work with the company to resolve the issue. I am making payments on a vehicle that is inoperable. Kargar can contact [redacted] and even forward the payment directly to them for the repairs. I appreciate the Revdex.com for assisting in trying to resolve the issue, but if a satisfactory resolution can not reached soon, I will seek legal counsel.

Kargar is the best place to purchase a vehicle. Their professionalism and dedication to the auto sales industry comes second to none. I was treated with respect. I was listened to and heard regarding my specific auto needs at this time. They were knowledgeable about my credit situation and the products that would best fit my affordability and not liability. They provided me some suggestions too that can help me in the future with maintain my vehicle with successful credit ratings. The goal is to put me on the right track for success! Thank you T.J. and Mike. God Bless you all and the Kargar Family. I will refer you to friends and family. Again, Thanks a Million!

The worst used car dealer around. They lie and will tell you anything they think you want to hear to sell you a car. They have a pattern of this so review the dealer, but to save time I'd never consider going there to begin with. Will save the buyer a lot of time and trouble, not to mention money for all the repairs you'll get stuck with. They say they fix the problems, but never do. Read the reviews on [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], etc. Stay away from Kargar.

I purchased a car in March I had a very good experience everything went smooth I recommend this dealership
