Excuses, excuses, excuses is all this company has to offer me and many other customers. Apparently no one from the Revdex.com has ordered anything from " all joke carports" and hasn't had to go through what me and other customers have. I've never in my life witnessed such a pathetic company put people through this kind of frustration. This company has the worst, most rude customer service any company can have and shame on the Revdex.com for giving them an A+ rating! I will make sure that everyone I know and work with never ever even think about buying anything from these lying imposters!! Thanks for nothing Revdex.com

In response to [redacted], We have the door scheduled for install on 10/25/2016. A representative from All Steel Carports called her last week to schedule the install for 10/25/2016. We do apologize about the delay and mishaps you have had in the process of getting the correct door installed.  Thank you,Brian S[redacted]Customer Care Department / Quality Control AgentAll Steel Carports [email protected]: 765-284-2689

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted].  At this time, the complaint has been resolved and I am 100% satisfied with the product and the actual installation.  Below is my reply to the steps/proceedings after my Revdex.com complaint: My steel car port has been installed. The first set up date was for Tuesday Dec 13, between 7-9 AM, but they called my son-in-law Monday Dec 12 and said due to weather conditions, the installation date was changed to Wednesday Dec 14 morning, 7-9 AM. Tuesday night they called me and said they would be here Thursday afternoon, also due to the weather. Then when no one showed up by 4:00, I called again, and spoke to Carri. She stated again, due to weather, they would be here Friday Dec 16 after 2:00 PM.  Friday afternoon, December 16, 2016 at 4:23 PM, two workers showed up and started the assembly. They didn't finish until 8:27 PM, but they were working under temps below 20 degrees and the ground had been frozen for several days. The two workers did an excellent job - never stopping. My son-in-law positioned his truck with the headlights facing the installation so it could be completed since it now gets dark about 5:00 PM in our area. And, this happened to also be the week we had the coldest weather for this year - so the delays for this week were completely understood and  acceptable. On Monday night, Dec 19, 2016 at 8:30 PM, I received a phone call from the All Steel Carport company. The sales rep said they were TRYING to set up a delivery, and I interrupted him and said it was already delivered and set up the past Friday. He seemed quite surprised to learn that. He also said he just received the complaint from the Revdex.com that  same day, Dec 19. I wasn't sure what the delay was in receiving the complaint since I filed the original complaint on December 6. But, anyway, he proceeded to tell me the company tried to reach me many times but due to phone issues with my phone, they were not able to speak to me. I have not had any complaints about phone problems, nor did any of their reps tell me of this issue during the 4 phone calls I made to them trying to set up an appointment (the 5th call being one where I left a message on their end). They are absolutely correct in stating they called to set up the installation a few weeks after my purchase, but my permits were not authorized at that time. This was  my error as I did not request permits earlier - I requested them after I found out I needed them.  They said they would call in 2 weeks. I called back the day I picked up the zone permit to let them know everything was in order.  As stated, I never heard back from them and I made 5 phone calls before writing to Revdex.com. I received my first return call 2 days after filing my complaint. I checked back records on my phone and their number did not show up under any calls received (answered, screened or hang-up calls) to my house. And I am not sure why the crew was not able to find my location the one time they headed out as the reply stated, as I would think all companies would have GPS technology. But, the car port is up, and the two man crew was fantastic.  In the future, the company might wish to let customers know if there is a phone issue when the customer calls so many times trying to set something up. This complaint has been resolved and I am 100% satisfied with the product and actual installation.

In response to Mr. [redacted], The customer Mr. [redacted] called and ordered a building on or around April 4th. He gave the description of what he wanted and said 14' tall. When talking about a carport when you say "14' tall" that is the leg height. Our documentation and price sheets are...

priced by the leg height or side wall if you will. That does not include the pitch of the roof. Every price sheet from All Steel Carports has it wrote as leg height. When a customer gives a height that's how tall the legs will be.When Mr. [redacted] called for the quote and said "14' tall" it was priced as the legs being 14' tall.We then scheduled the building and delivered it with 14' legs. The customer then called in after the install stating the building was too tall and swaying. We advised the customer that we installed the building he ordered and to be able to come fix the legs he would be charged $1,072.75 plus the price for the new legs. Another option we have to help the building swaying is he can order a end to the building since it sits on concrete cause we cannot use concrete supports that go a few feet in the ground and connect to the legs since the building is on concrete.  Thank you,Brian S[redacted]Customer Care Department / Quality Control AgentAll Steel Carports INC.800-730-7908 Ext:219765-284-0694 Ext:[email protected]: 765-284-2689

on 10-12-15 Brian S[redacted] at all steel carports made a promise that he would call me in the near future, he has not called me as of 10-12-15 when he made his original promise to fix the problem, I never received a call, it has been five days since he promised in his Revdex.com response to call me he has not made any attempts to call me and resolve the issue, so far just a lot of empty promises.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
In response to Mr. S[redacted],   My complaint is not with the dealer who wrote the order. My complaint is with the company's failure to return my deposit after not honoring the contract by not installing the carport in the proper time frame.   Secondly, nowhere in the contract I have does it state " installation is subject to change".   Furthermore even with Mr. S[redacted]'s new time frame of the order placed on Sept. 6 and the proposed installation of Oct. 31 he is still well over his own 6 weeks or sooner period.   Therefore I am confident that once Mr. S[redacted] informs Mr. Ignacio C[redacted] the owner of All Steel Carports and a member of the Revdex.com  of these facts he will authorize the reimburse my $162.00 deposit.    Thank you,   [redacted]
Regards,
[redacted]

I spoke with Mr. [redacted] and was able to resolve the problem.

I apologized for the delay, then the bad weather set us back a few days.  I compensated Mr. [redacted] with a discount for his trouble.  He was satisfied with that agreement.
Thank you,

This is true  Mr. [redacted]’s installation of his building was on Oct 7, 2015. This is trueAt the time of the purchase Mr. [redacted] declined to use the anchoring system that is provided by All Steel Carports and requested that we use special anchors that he purchased instead, which were longer in size than our anchors by 12 inches. This is not true, I did not decline to use the anchors provided by ASC, I advised them that I had just put in 17” of new gravel to level the site, if I had used the 30” ground anchors provided by ASC that would have meant that only 13” of their anchors would have been in virgin undisturbed soil, the Anchors that I bought were 48” long and were approved for use by Brian at ASC, please see attached emails. The Contractor who installed the building for Mr. [redacted] made EVERY attempt to install his anchors using the equipment we provide for installation of our anchoring system.  There were to be 6 anchors installed in the building.  The contractor was able to install 4 of the anchors but the remaining two anchors WOULD NOT go into the ground due to either rock or concrete  or some very hard substance that completely resisted the pressure of our anchoring machine for this installation This is not true the crew installed three corner ground anchors without incident, on the fourth corner he did hit something in the ground that stopped the ground anchor, the three Hispanic men crew only the crew leader spoke very broken English, however his language barrier was very clear when the fourth anchor got stuck he threw his machine on the ground and said no more, I said yes you have to finish installing the anchors, he replied no you do it, with that I did not want to continue into an argument with a person who spoke very little English,, so I picked up his machine as he said and began to put an anchor in the ground, the anchor hit something and got stuck, the machine which was not wired correctly would not shut off at the switch because it had been bypassed a definite violation of OSHA, the machine spun me a round and I ended up on top of the running machine until one of the crew ran over and unplugged the machine at this point I had enough and Called Skip my sales person, Skip responded to my home and talked with the crew leader he still refused to attempt to install anymore ground anchors, Skip called Brian at ASC and the next thing I know the crew leadr was installing one of the ASC ground anchors in the last corner which occurred without incident which was fine because in that area I did not have but about six inches of new gravel the rest of the 30” anchors was planted into good virgin compacted dirt. Skip left the site while he was installing that anchor, then the crew leader said no more I immediately called Brian at ASC he advised me they would finish installing the last two middle anchors before they left the site, they did not install the last two anchors and they left. I called skip and Brian back they both prommissed the crew would return before they left town and install the last two. I waited until October 12, I then called Skip and Brian back and informed them that the crew never returned, Brian said he would check into the problem and get back in touch, knowing that I Had already been lied to by Brian at ASC I filed a Revdex.com complaint.  Mr. [redacted] became very irritated with our crew when they were unable to install the additional two anchors.  When the crew returned to their work to finish the roof, Mr. [redacted] took possession of the anchoring machine and attempted, ON HIS OWN this is a blatant lie, I have three witnesses to the fact that the crew leader said no more you install them, to install the anchors he felt the crew were NOT ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL. Again this is not true see my response above, the crew never even attempted to do the two ground anchors in the middle, the crew leader could not possible know if they could have been installed without incident as the first three anchors went in without incident, because he never tried to install the last two even after I told him to just use the ASC anchors, in my way of thinking those anchors would have been better than no anchors. As a result, per Mr. [redacted]s letter to you, the machine threw him around when he attempted to install the anchors that he felt the contractor should have been able to do so easily. I never said it was an easy job, I know the crew has a hard job. But that is why I paid to have it installed by what I thought were going to be professionals. All Steel Carports cannot know when a customer’s ground has rock surfaces that do not allow for the anchoring to secure to the ground.   We realize that the customer may not know this either, but, per our contract with the customer, the building is installed AS IS on the ground designated by the customer.Choosing to use an anchoring system outside of the one provided by All Steel Carports is the customer’s option, the Purchasing and use of stronger and longer anchors was approved by Brian at ASC again see attached emails between Skip and ASC as proof I did not go rouge and just order something stronger than the ASC anchors without prior approval.  however, the customer assumes the liability for the system of their choice.  Even if the customer had opted for the All Steel Carport anchoring system, we can only install anchors when the ground conditions allow.  We are not obligated to find solutions for anchoring issues.  If, per say, our anchoring machine were to break down during an installation of our anchoring system, then All Steel Carports would be liable for the task of getting a new machine to allow us to install the anchors owed to the customer!  If it took us a couple of days to do that, and wind blew the building over.. then we would bear responsibility for that damage as it was OUR RESPONSIBILITY to have the machine to install the anchors the customer has purchased in our system. The customer chose an alternate anchoring system and our contractor made every attempt to install the anchors without success.   Even the Customer attempted to install the anchors using our machinery to do so without success.  Withstanding a miracle of the Almighty, these anchors will not go into the ground due to issues with the customer’s ground situation!  100 trips to the customer’s location will not solve this problem.  It is not a problem of our equipment, it is not a problem of an inability to do the work, it is not a problem of not having anchors, it is a FACT that the ground is too rocky to accept the anchor. Again this is not true and you are right it would not take a 100 trips, it would only require that the crew tried to install the last two middle anchors while they were onsite which they refused to even attempt, even after I told the crew leader to try the ASC anchors like he did for the last corner as the middle only has 10” of fresh gravel that would have put 20” of the ASC anchors into virgin compacted dirt he still refused to try.Complaining that All Steel Carports can’t bust up the rocky foundation to anchor his building is not a legitimate or fair complaint again not true the crew leader never even attempted to install the last two anchors I will say it one last time, the first three anchors were sunk into the ground 48” without incident but when the crew leader ran into a problem on the fourth corner to which he did eventually install, he absolutely gave up on the last two middle ones without ever trying, they may have very well went into the ground without incident as the first three did and at this point we cannot ascertain if he would have had any problems as he simply did not try.Dealer Skip spoke to [redacted] and he gave a list.Nothing has changed in the ground since we have been to your location. The ground has prevented us from installing the Anchors. We can install 3’ braces for any concern of swaying. The cost of the 3' braces are $100.00 plus the $50.00 return fee. The building swaying in the wind is a concern to me, however with that said if your engineers have determined that no additional bracing is required to prevent metal fatigue then by all means they are the experts. However I do have a question if three foot braces would have taken the sway out of the carport why were two foot braces used.I am sorry your installation crew and Brian from ASC customer service was not truthful with you at (ASC All Steel Carports), In closing all I want is for the two remaining middle anchors installed and the swaying of the carport stopped.Regards,

In response to Mr. [redacted], We do apologize that you're having a scheduling issue. I checked the notes on the order and it does look like multiple calls have been made to you in regards to scheduling. The last note made on the order was on 9/30/2016 stating they left a voicemail to reschedule...

the install for 10/03/2016 in the early afternoon. After they did not hear anything back they had to drop it off the schedule. I have talked with the rep that handles Tennessee and she will have you on schedule for 10/19/2016 in the afternoon. You will be contacted to confirm that schedule date. Again we do apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced.  Thank you,Brian S[redacted]Customer Care Department / Quality Control AgentAll Steel Carports [email protected]: 765-284-2689

In response to Mr. [redacted] We deeply apologize about the delays and issues with some of the representatives you have experienced with us. We have taken the necessary actions so this never happens again in the future.Because of the delays you have experienced we are fabricating the building to the...

specs that you need 32x31og with 10' legs so the building will fit on your pad at no extra charge to you.  We are scheduling the building to be installed on August 22nd 2016. That is the next available schedule we have. Again we apologize about the issues you have experienced with us and hope that we can gain your trust again in the future. Thank you,Brian S[redacted]Customer Care Department / Quality Control AgentAll Steel Carports INC.800-730-7908 Ext:219765-284-0694 Ext:[email protected]: 765-284-2689

As Mr. [redacted] accurately indicates 12 inches of snow are not ONLY on top of his camper but on all the ground in that part of the state.  The building is 12ft tall and that makes it perilous for the workers to be up that high in such icy conditions.  We HAVE attempted to schedule his...

building, as he indicates, however, we absolutely cannot control the weather conditions that impact the scheduling.  He clearly points out that we called him 24 to 72 hours IN ADVANCE to let him know the issues with the schedule.  All Steel does not make a PENNY until we install the building.  We would like to earn the money for the building.  We have not ignored Mr. [redacted]'s order, we have just struggled with the scheduling.  He acknowledges how many times we have attempted to get his building to him only to have the schedule fall through for these reasons.  He threatened us with  his attorney earlier, and we had hoped the attorney was a minister who might have a connection with the ALMIGHTY to stop the snow, but evidently, that was not the case :)    We have every intention of installing his building and we fully understand his frustration with the fact that it isn't installed at this point.  We are working on a schedule to load in the next 10 days into his area.  We will make every attempt to get the job done so he has the building he needs.

I have heard nothing but excuses and lame apologies, and I have received NOTHING in the way of resolution.  On October 5, I received an email (attached) from Michael B[redacted], Executive Administrative Assistant to the President, in which he lays out specific instructions to be completed by specific people.  One instruction is to Melissa, who was instructed to immediately refund my credit card.  No refund has been issued! On October 7, I received an email from Brian S[redacted] indicating that he had spoken with the scheduling manager and Michaela, and that the servicemen would be coming to my area by Saturday, October 15. He said that Michaela would be giving me a call to let me know the exact day.  Michaela has never called me, and no one showed up to install my door as promised. (email attached)On October 13, I emailed Brian and told him that I had heard nothing regarding installation of my door and asked what happened..  I have had no response since.  (email attached)Once again, All Steel Carports has proven they are long on hot air and short on customer service! They have provided no acceptable solution to the problem they created!  It has now been over 2 months that they have had my money and I have no product!!!!!!!
