[redacted] *** received what she was contracted forThe customer should have went over the layout at the time of purchaseAgain Medallion will be happy to make the deck bigger for the customer but there will be a chargePlease contact us if you would like to proceed with thatThank you

Medallion has contacted the lumber manufacture for the customer and in response they contacted the customerThe result they came up with was the decking was not maintained properly by the customer, and this is why the pressure treated decking would have to be replacedUnfortunately this is not covered under the warrantyAs a good company Medallion gave the customer a cost to replace the deckingThe price is a at cost price for MedallionMedallion is just waiting for the go ahead from the customer

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response If you wish, you may update it before sending it.] Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that the fair resolution I requested from the company is satisfactory to me The service department has contacted me several times and have set a date to come to my residence to get all of the necessary measurements and required information to move forward Regards, [redacted]

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: this business and their staff lacks integrity, I have NOT received any messages from them There is no need for me to call them again for this very reason The general manager never returned my call prior to filing this complaint I explained in my complaint as well as during previous discussions what I want to see happen to resolve this matter Keep in mind I even offered to incur some additional limited expense for a redesign of the screen door They are not customer oriented and if the Revdex.com wasn't involved, I most likely would not have received any response at all Regards, [redacted]

My service dept is calling [redacted] today about her screenThe problem is that the customer is pushing the screen and not the doorThe screen can not take the force of someone trying to push the steel security door openYou have to push the door open by the handle or by the steel frame of the doorWe have explained this to the customer many timesWe cant control what our customers do.Its up to them to operate the door correctly, thank you

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Still a contract is supposed to honored Ed the sales man was very confident in his sales pitch etc I would like the doors at the price quoted Regards, [redacted]

I don't understand where the confusion is [redacted] signed a contract with Medallion on 5-15-Then she signed a changed order on 5-19-The contract is clear that if you want to cancel the contract you have until midnight of the third business day to do so.Medallion did not receive any such notice from [redacted] Since Medallion did not receive a cancellation Medallion proceeded with her job as we do for all of our customers

The lumber used was pressure treated. If the customer is questioning the honesty of the lumber manufacturer who would think that the customer is telling the truth about treating the deck properly. The fact is that Medallion does not install non-pressure wood for there decks The solution would be to replace the decking boards.Medallion has already gave the customer a estimate for replacing the decking boards.Thank you

The charge was for the cost of the site plan for this specific job, for the building plat for this specific job, and for the remeasure for this specific jobAny accured cost for a customers job goes to the customer not MedallionThe copies of the site plan and building plats where given to the customer.Thank you

Date: Fri, Jul 15, 2016 at 1:26 PMSubject: RE: [redacted] Complaint ( [redacted] )To: [redacted] < [redacted] @mybbb.org> [redacted] is refusing anymore services from Medallion. The door is a custom ordered door. The door needed some adjusting which some doors do need. There is no... reason to take the door down. Medallion has sent [redacted] to there attorney for collection.

In response to *** *** ***'s compliant concerning his legal agreement he willing entered into with Medallion on September 17, The following outlines the events leading up to his compliant: - *** *** signed a contract with Medallion on 9/17/as previously noted- HOA, Exterior
Alteration application with supporting documents were emailed to *** *** for signature on 9/29/2016. - Medallion received executed, signed and dated, application back from *** *** enabling submission to his management company on 10/18/- Medallion submitted executed application to *** ***'s management company for approval on 10/18/- Medallion received confirmation from *** ***'s management company on 11/7/confirming that his application was processed and forwarded to his review board for approval. - Follinquiries to confirm the status of *** ***' application were emailed to his management company on the following dates: 11/4/16, 11/15/16, 12/2/16, 12//and 12/4/On each occasion, the management company indicated that the board had not yet rendered a decisionAdditionally *** *** was copied on Medallion's attempts, ensuring that he was notified as to the status of his application- On 11/28/*** ***'s informed Medallion that he wanted to cancel his agreement because the process of approval was exceedingly protracted. - On 11/28/Medallion replied to *** ***' inquiry, stating that to cancel his agreement he would be required to pay 33% of the total contracted amount which he strongly disputed by way of email on the same day- On 1/23/Medallion made one final attempt to procure an update on *** ***’s applicationOn that same day, in the afternoon, *** ***’s management company notified Medallion that his Review Board approved his application on 1/17/2017. At this juncture, Medallion would like to move forward with *** ***'s installation as originally contracted or collect the cancellation fee, which is 33% of the contracted total as outlined on the back of his legal agreement, paragraph 3, Buyer's Late Cancellation Fee We understand *** ***’ dissatisfaction with his Homeowners AssociationHowever, the delay was outside of Medallion’s controlTherefore Medallion cannot be held liable for his Review Board’s delay in rendering a decision, almost months after his application was submitted to his management companyAdditionally, *** *** was kept in the loop with regards to the status of his application by way of a carbon-copy email whenever Medallion requested an update. Because of the difficult nature of preparing and submitting an Exterior Alteration application, Medallion provides assistanceHowever, the service of assistance does not exonerate the homeowner of their HOA responsibilities even though Medallion prepares the homeowner’s application along with following up with their management company until their application is either approved or deniedIn many instances, the management company will cease all communication with the contracted company once the homeowner’s application is submitted to the boardFor that reason the liability of following up with the management company is the homeowners, not the contracted company. As of today, Friday, March 24, 2017, Medallion received notification from *** *** requesting a buyout invoice enabling Medallion to closeout his contract once his cancellation fee is paid in full

*** wanted to cancel her contract after the third business day.Under our terms and conditions of Medallions contract this is considered a Buyer's Late Cancellation, which the buyer agrees to pay Medallion a cancellation fee equal to 33% of the Agreement's purchase price. This is all on
the contract that *** signed with Medallion.*** should review her contract. No money is owed to *** from Medallion

Unfortunately sometimes our sales force does make the occasional mistake and will under sell job.We do apologize for that but sometimes we just can't do the job if that happensMedallion does have the legal right to cancel out any job that we sell within days of the contract date.Thank you

I am rejecting this response because: Attaching the warranty given to us by ** ***, which has "Medallion" written all over - there is no mention of any other manufacturer. I don't understand why we were given a warranty for iron products when we did not purchase any iron products. The warranty mentions windows! I am tempted to contact a small claims court

Medallion installed exactly what was on the contractI talked to the customer before we finished the deck and told her to change the contracted deck size to a bigger deck size obviously there would be a additional charge for thatI'm not sure where the confusion would beIf you want to change a
10xdeck to a 14xdeck it's going to cost more moneyThe customer also had two corner cuts on the deckI explained to the customer that the corner cuts do take away a little bit of the square footage of the deckSince the customer did not want to pay for the deck enlargement I did suggest that we could square the corners off to regain that lost square footageThe customer agreed with that change even though we already had the corner cuts doneI told the customer there would be no charge for squaring off the cornersIt still cost the company to do that since new floor joist had to be orderedMedallion did work with the customer on every level sorry to hear the customer thinks we didn'tMedallion went over and above on helping this customer
