My daughter leased a new Kia at this dealership in January, She signed the documents and is making the payments DMV sent her plates to me with the registration in my name I had nothing to do with it KIA acknowledged they made a mistake but they have refused, so far, to correct the error I have talked to them and made two trips there and all I get are promises I need them to change the registration to my daughter's name and remove my name with DMV This is not my car

I have never been to a dealership that is so unprofessional and disrespectfulJust yesterday, Saturday, February 10, we were inquiring about a Kia Optima with low miles, when we first called we spoke to *** who took over hours just to return our call about the vehicleThen we had to call again and spoke to (***) and he gave us inaccurate pricing information and wanted to charge us almost $overage for something he couldn't even explainI asked him to break down the price because the math wasn't adding up and sure enough the price dropped significantlyWhen we went in to sign the paperwork, they were immediately rushing us didn't even let us look at the car just sat us down and gave us paperworkThe financial manager that we dealt with, who's name is *** ***, completely rushed us and gave us the WORST and NEGATIVE serviceHe came in and never introduced himself to us or even gave us his name (we only know because we looked him up on their website)He was practically throwing the paperwork at us, didn't explain what anything was and gave us absolutely no time to look over what we were signingWhen we went on the test drive with ***, he literally took us around the block and gave us no time to even look at the carWe had to ask to look at the car because he never let us look under the hood or anythingWe noticed that the car had just a quarter tank of gas left and when we asked if they filled it up before we leave the dealership, they said it is against policy to put gas into used cars (I have never been to another dealership where they didn't fill up the gas or wash the car for you), then when I asked the financing manager why this was, the guy completely went offHe also told us that we wasted our time going to the bank to get the blank check because they worked directly with our bank and we didn't need to do any of thatHe was absolutely rude and didn't treat us as a customer whatsoeverWe arrived close to closing because of the distance we were coming from which is San Bernardino county, and my guess is the financing person was upset that he had to stay past closingNot to mention, he told us out right "If you want better service you should've come before closing!" I have never been to a dealership that treated us so disrespectfullyWe walked out and *** said he would be contacting us the next day so we could come back and deal with a different financial manager and he said he would be reporting *** because apparently this isn't the first time they have lost business over his temperWe waited the whole next morning and never heard back from themWhen we finally called to see what was going on, they said they had raised the price over $1,and that someone else was going to purchase the vehicleI asked *** why the price went up and he said there was a security device installed in the car and asked if we knew about the extra cost for this, (Ummm no? YOU'RE the person I spoke to who broke down the prices to me! Why would I know that if you never mentioned it to me?!) We had a blank check written out and everything, 100% ready to go through with the purchase had it not been for their terrible financing personI have literally spoke to different people about the issue, ***, ***, a couple other representatives who didn't give me their names, and finally Troy who said he would be giving me a call back about the issue and see what they can work out for usLow and behold we never got a call back!!! I would NEVER recommend this dealershipIf you are going to give someone your business, do not come here! They do not value professionalism, responsibility, or customer service AT ALL! Definitely going to be reporting them to the Revdex.com and speaking to the general manager tomorrow

RE: Car Purchase VIN: *** Kia Soul EV
On 08/23/18, I gave Kia of Irvine a check for nearly $20,000, with an agreement that the check would be deposited that day, and I could pithe above car, approximately on Tue 08/or Wed 08/29, or as soon as the check clearedI “recorded” the salesperson, finance manager, and sales manager, confirming such verbatimAlso, I was given a receipt (see attached.)
On 08/27/18, I updated Kia of Irvine as to my contact information, and confirmed picking up the car in the next few daysAt all times Kia of Irvine falsely and fraudulently led me to believe, the check had been deposited on 08/and they were awaiting the check clearingAt all times, not once, ever, was Kia of Irvine given permission to “hold” possession of the check
At 11:A.Mon 08/28/18, salesman Howard *** left a “recorded” voicemail message admitting to misleading me and never depositing the check, Howard *** admitted to illegally

I really wish I had read all the previous reviews before we bothered to spend any time at Kia of Irvine Everything said on those reviews were accurate
We too arrived about an hour and a half prior to close (due to work and driving distance)We test drove several Kia vehicles with R**k (one of the sales guys) who didn't have a great bed-side manner We told him that we would return the next day to test drive some more and to see the cars during the daylight hours He was very put out and upset that we didn't want to purchase anything that evening
We arrived the next day and after waiting about minfor him to acknowledge us, he came over and told us flat out that he didn't have time for us We got another salesman, Farhad, who was friendly and let us test drive a few more carsWe made a decision to purchase a Kia Forte with miles on it (still brand new as it hadn't been sold in 2017-because it was a manual transmission)
Kia of Irvine listed this specific car (along with other manual Forte cars) on their website for $ They also had a military discount for $that was listed on their website which would expire on July 31, What a great deal! BTW, you needed to bring in proof (like a DD214) showing you were active, retired or a veteran
At first, they were not going to honor that discount, claiming it was only for new vehicles...except that I printed out the paper showing it was for a car if we were going to finance through them (which we were) So Farhad had to go to his manager and make sure they would honor it He came back gleefully and asked to see the "proof" to which I gave his sad little face the DDpaperOh, it gets better
Farhad arrived back with some numbers and set the papers before us asking what monthly payment we would like We kindly told him we wanted the breakdown of the price and the price out the door with the tax, title and cost of the car He again went back to his manager Came back after another minwith a breakdown of the car's cost Funny enough, after tax, licencing and car cost it was only $13k (give or take a few hundred), yet the price at the bottom of the paper was a little over $19k We asked what the breakdown for this was and he said, "Extra insurance, car alarm, etc." So they were "options" that we never wanted or asked for....interesting We told him that we liked the $13k price and not interested in any of the "options" since the still had a yr warranty on it He went back to the manager's office and was there for another minutesWhen he finally showed up, he had the "finance lady" with him (A**y) who informed us that there was a "communication problem happening, that the options were not really options, but what we would pay if we wanted the car." My husband said this was advertisement, she got testy and said, "that's the price we put up so people come in and these cars are flying off the shelf like hot cakes." I had to respond to her comment stating, "Yes, obviously, since you have of them in stock since Dec2016." Needless to say, she wasn't very nice and we walked out of there without a car
I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone ever....I highly suggest you do not shop for a car here and warn everyone you know about this place! If I could give them a negative 5-star rating, I would!

I have tried contacting Kia Consumer Affairs for the past THREE WEEKS and keep being told that a Regional Representative will call me to help resolve my issueI have been in contact with Valerie Martinez at Consumer Affairs times over the past weeks and she keeps trying to get someone from the Regional office to contact me and thus far there has been NO RESPONSEI am so utterly DISGUSTED by your customer service! We purchased a certified pre-owned Kia Soul EV from the Irvine CA location last AugustAt the time of purchase, we asked the sales person (Mousa) REPEATEDLY if the car was serviced NATIONWIDE because we are ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY and knew that we would be movingHe PROMISED us that as long as we lived near a KIA dealership, that the car would be able to be servicedShortly after purchase (which we paid cash for AND paid an extra $for the year warranty that we were also told had nationwide coverage), we started seeing a quick decline in the health of the main power source batteryIt went from getting miles per charge to and then down to below miles per charge in the course of only monthsWe took the car into the Irvine Kia dealership THREE times to have the health of the battery tested and tried to get it replaced through the warrantyEvery time we were told that it was testing 1% above the designated battery life needed for replacement (even though it went from down to below during the times that we brought it in)They kept trying to tell us it was an update malfunction and would then supposedly update it and tell us to drive it for another month and “it should correct itself”Instead of ever correcting itself, we just steadily continued to lose more and more battery lifeWe then found out we were being relocated to VA with the Navy so we decided that we would try the Kia dealership out here to see if they would actually be honest and uphold the warranty and change the batteryWe moved out here weeks ago and discovered that there isn’t a single Kia dealership in the ENTIRE STATE OF VIRGINIA who can work on an EVThey’ve never been trained on them, they don’t have the equipment and they do t sell themIn fact, they had never even SEEN an EV modelSo, they told us that our Kia Soul EV was completely WORTHLESS in their eyes and refused to help usThey suggested that we call Kia Consumer AffairsSo, we paid $20,in CASH for a car that we’ve barely put miles on over the course of the last months and we paid an additional $to have it SHIPPED across the country to our new home because we were PROMISED that it was a car that had NATIONWIDE service and coverage only to find out that it is completely and utterly USELESSWorst part about it is KIA has this far refused to do anything about it!!! My husband is in the United States Navy and is getting ready to deploy for months and I’ve got a car that cannot even go more than miles and is currently days past it’s last recommended service date because the Kia dealership that is miles from my house refuses to work on itI’m scared to drive the car for fear of it breaking down and not having a single KIA mechanic in the entire state who could/would work on itI just want SOMEBODY at KIA to take responsibility for the fact that I was sold a car under PRETENSES! I want Kia to trade in my EV for a comparable gas powered vehicle AND transfer the warranty that I paid $for that has been totally worthless so far, despite me trying to use it to replace our battery NUMEROUS timesI want KIA to PLEASE STOP ignoring me!!!

On March 2, I went to Kia of Irvine with the intent of purchasing a vehicle After I selected a vehicle and the sales price was determined, My trawas assessedI was offering to pay the total amount by personal check at the time of sale with no credit of any kind The Sales Manager finally came in with what he said was the bottom line: $16,and change I then asked how that price was determined and was told that it was $15,Selling Price minus $travalue plus tax and license Therefor, they would need a check in the amount of $16, I agreed to purchase the vehicle based on that representation Then, the interminable paperwork process began At one point in this process I was asked to sign an "as-is" agreement which I was told meant that the car was being sold as it was, sitting on the lot The dealer was not offering anything to be added after the fact, such as floor mats, rims, spoilers, etc I agreed to this Finally, I was presented with the

I was shown a car that had Home-Link, mud flaps, roof rack, rubber floor matts, and everything that came with the next model that had the accessories!
They told me that I would get the accessories for no extra costOnce the paperwork was signed they said, "Sorry we made a mistake, the answers no."

This is, by far, the worst dealership I have ever dealt withThey offered a certified vehicle online but when I called to purchase the vehicle and drive from out of state to pick it up, they refused to honor the advertised priceThe price suddenly jumped $5300! Their claim was the vehicle was a "loser" and they needed to make money on it somehow, so they added a $warranty to an already certified vehicle, and a $security system to a vehicle that includes an OEM immobilizer systemI told them they were in violation of state and federal laws regarding consumer product pricing, and they didn't careThis was Farhad in sales, Kurt in Management and *** at their corporate office who essentially hung up 2x after answering the phone and not saying a wordMy recommendation - do not buy a paperclip from these people!!! They refused to sell me the vehicle at the advertised price, however, once forced they said if I showed up at the dealership - they would, but refused to take

Never Again!!!!
So I recently purchased a Kia stingerWhy?! I heard good things about the cars , warranty even company So I decided why notI already had a BMW , Mercedes, Honda , Hyundai and Jeep why not try something newThe worse mistake I have ever done in my lifeAt first like all dealerships you get the cool guys acting like they care about you they want too help you out talked numbers etcI traded on my Jeep Wrangler with all these cool perks on it We had agreed Tony Tand I and the sales that they would give me $24,for the trade in sounded about right, Kelly blue book had the same quote I was fine with that I had my son with me (year old) , me being a single dad your head is going everywhere trying to do too many things at ones We get too the financial guy named Sammy sheik As soon I i walk in he makes me re due a application after that he started printing all the paper work I’m trying too take care of my son at the same time his going through paperwork real fast does not explain too me the contract like other dealerships would have done soI get the car I leave I go to my bank the next day I started going though the contract and this is what happensNot either they screw me over the trade in amount they Alain scared me on the pay off amount My bank clearly says I whole different amount $5,short on the trade in and also on the payoff amount I went back and they where the most rude people I ever encounteredMaybe because they saw a years old, or because I’m Hispanic and basically made me feel like I didn’t know what I was talking aboutThe worst Through my network and my business I will make this dealership go downThis is not right to be treated like this or anyone else
Danielle OAsk to get reached to fix the issue , well I called her left her a voice mail and never returned my callIt’s really sad how a company this big runs there location like this Horrible employees ,horrible managers Nice way of showing a good example!!

We were defrauded by this dealership, and in my opinion, this is a pattern for this company I was brought by my friend to Kia to buy my first car in the USWe agreed on a price and my friend left me to do the closing paperwork, trusting the dealer to act ethically (Full Cash deal, so it should have been easy, right?)
However, in closing paperwork they added a item for an aftermarket Alarm, taking advantage of my inexperience as a car buyers in US ( I thought it was part of the tax, licenses and transfer fees, as they explained)After returning to the dealer, I spoke with Sammy ***, and he essentially told me that hey, I signed the paperwork so too badFYI: There is NO aftermarket alarm even in the car, so this was an invented charge for a non-existent itemThey even admitted there was no such aftermarket alarm in the car, since it has a factory alarm
It appears I am not the first to experience this scam, as other reviewers on numerous websites describe the same occurrence
I contacted Mike Knapp, the GM, who promised to call me back about this issue and failed to do soI have adult witnesses to the deal that was made
I am told this type of fraud in the closing paperwork used to be reserved to low-end used car dealers, yet here I find it in a supposedly premier car dealer
I suggest going somewhere else if you want a KIA

So I have taken a few hours to digest the process before posting, and yes, it is still negative Scroll through these comments and you will see out of every are NEGATIVE STAR REVIEWS! There is a reason folksThis dealership is doing everything these people are stating(I've bought more than my share of vehicles and I've got family in the industry, as well as more than a few civil litigation attorneys in my family treeI know the process well)
They are using dated carsalesmen tactics that would work great if we didn't have this thing called "the internet" where we can literally expose their lies within seconds from our phonesOne guy tried to tell me "I have offers to sell this car for more money by shipping it overseas, but I want you to have it so let me know quickly." I am so sure a middle eastern prince wants to pay over market value for a year old, entry level model, used car with 50,miles on it
Oh and expect to have to walk out at least twice on these guys when you start "talking numbers" They will attempt to strong-arm you over $and then act like you are irrational when you say "no thanks"They say "you are willing to lose this deal over $100?" just respond with "why not? you are!" The manager will come out, refuse to look you in the eye, and regurgitate some rhetoric about not wanting to do the deal Laugh and walk out They will call you back and grovel to get you to do the deal
Then, you will negotiate everything, think the deal is done only to have them try to gouge you for a few more hundred dollars when you are signing the doc's Also, beware of financingthey will bait and switch you and rush you through signing hoping you don't see that instead of using the bank you are approved with, they are going through a different bank at a much higher interest rate so they can make more money on the "back end"
Have a trade in? that number you negotiate before heading to sign is just a "place holder" when you get to that, the guy will walk out or "get a phone call" and come back to tell you "my guy looked at it and we cant offer you more than (insert number 25-40% less than you originally agreed upon here)"This is another last minute effort to extort cash from youWalk out of the roomThis is standard procedure This leads me to the next paragraph
Folks, negotiate your price and terms, then tell the dealer to email you the contract to look at before signingThis is common practice from LEGITIMATE dealers who are not trying to hide fees or switch your financing on you If they get squirrely, then they are up to no goodAnd when they lie telling you "nobody sends the contract out", they are lyingDo you research, take your time and really check the numbersYou will see the fair price for everythingBut when you come to Kia of Irvine, expect them to think nobody else has access to the internet, or any information source, or made any purchase in their lifetime
I am excited to see the response from their 4th customer care rep in years to my reviewIt has to be an exhausting job for the person in that position to copy/paste "we are so sorry you went through thisIt is not our intent for this to happenI will talk to my team to ensure this is corrected" on every 4th yelp review posted here
After all this over the course of days, I never purchased a car from these peopleI consider it a blessing in disguiseBy the looks of these reviews, it doesn't appear that I am missing out on anythingGood luck and happy car hunting all!
After THEY backed out of the deal, I informed them they are not authorized to run my creditThey stated I was out of their system and they didn't run credit, nor would they need toWell they ran it afterwards anywayNow I get to go up the "food chain" for a resolution in an effort to finish out my "experience" with Kia of IrvineHopefully things get resolved quickly!

Kia of Irvine advertised a vehicle for yet they refused to sell it for the advertised price
http:/*** url of vehicle offered
First the salesman attempted to get me to finance through the dealership at a rate double of what I am pre approved for at my Credit unionWhen I declined he tried to sell me an alarm system I again declinedHe said that he could not guarantee the vehicle would be still be available while I took the time to get the check from my CU and that they would not let me take the vehicle unless I financed through Kia of Irvine
I then offered to pay cash for the vehicle and offered to write a check on the spotThey salesman agreed and then told me that the out the door price would exceed I ask to see an itemization of the over in charges but the dealership refused and said they could not break down the charges until they vehicle was purchasedAccording to the CA DMV

I leased a car from Kia of Irvine and they did not provide a Korean language contract before or after I signed the english contract according to the Civil Code section So I would like to cancel the contract according to this law
