This is the first I'm hearing of this I will look into right away and get the money you are owed immediatelyThe refund is a pro rated amount from the time of purchase not from the time the factory warranty endsSo it will not be 100% refundable they will pro rate the refund by how long the car was ownedGive me a few hours to get to the bottom of thisThanks Joe S [redacted] General Manager ###-###-####

I was told by my salesman the only way they could get me out of the car (they strong armed me into) was if I came up with 5000$ down or let my current car get repossessed, they have very shady business practices and are very unethical!

I believe this issue is handled *** was in the dealership today cancelling his products he bought because he traded the *** in on a *** ***

To whom it may concern,The disposition fee is attached to the previous vehicle the customer leased, NOT the new vehicle which was purchased using conventional financing. This particular customer was given an option to finance through Kia Motor Finance, which would have waived the disposition
fee. The customer was not satisfied with the interest rate that was available from Kia Motor Finance, and proposed securing their own financing. This was a few months ago, but I do believe they were going to use *** ***. Had they done that, the customer still would have had to pay the disposition fee. We asked the customer for an opportunity to match or beat the interest rate through one of our other lenders (*** ***), to which they agreed. We were able to match or beat their rate, and the customer agreed to finance with *** ***. The difference in rate between what *** *** offered did save the customer money As a matter of courtesy, we will send a check to the customer in the amount of $436.00.Regards,Donny V***, General Manager

There is a disclaimer on the mail piece that *** *** has guaranteed to be within full compliance of PA lawI did attach this disclaimerI do apologize for any misunderstanding, but nowhere does it guarantee a $gift card, it does ask that you call the specific number to check your code
They will tell the customer to come I and see what they have won, they will not say that you definitely won a $gift code

My service department is closed today, but I would like to get you scheduled in to get you window fixed Call Robert tomorrow 5/and he will get it coordinated with serviceI apologize I am not sure why this was not handled alreadyI will make sure you are taken care of I will also make
sure they get you a loaner car so you can go about your day. Thank YouJoe S***

** ***,
I will gladly take back the *** you purchased and refund your money. I have attempted to call you at the number you provided but the phone just rings and then disconnects. Give me a call as soon as you can to set up a time that you can drop the *** off and I can
have a check ready for you.

***,
If you are having asthma attacks from the smell in the car I would be upset alsoI also suffer from Asthma, so I understand Every warranty we sell the company is responsible for it and needs to make it cancel-able, after doing some research The warranty company is denying the cancellation of the warranty, which I do not agree with So with that being said I can offer you a few scenario's the first is I will reimburse you for the warranty pro rated based on miles and timeThe second is I will buy your car back for the amount of your payoff so you can walk away with nothing owed on the loan(No purchase necessary) You will be responsible for getting the car back to our dealership Or the third is the same as you and Tom talked about the other week, cancel the warranty and when you are in the area we will shampoo the interior and have the company bio sweep try and get rid of the smell I hope this helps, I will be waiting for your responseThanks

I apologize for the late response as soon as I heard about [redacted]'s situation I asked her to come in and speak with me. After talking with her we came to an agreement and I bought the [redacted] from her and paid it off in full with [redacted].

$11,000 is a fair number for trade in value, Especially with 75,000 miles on it. it will cost between $800 and $1500 to recondition the car depending on what is needed. At those miles it could need brakes, rotors, tires, ball joints, transmission service, 70k service, plus a windshield.  Fair Market Value for this [redacted] is 10,550. Below average would be a car with problems like check engine light, abs light, or air bag light on. Average is what we consider fair market value this is where the majority of cars fall into. Above is a small percent of people who drive 10,000 miles or less per year and the car has no blemishes absolutely perfect condition ( Very small percent of people fall into this category). They gave you a very fair number at $11,000 if they were trading based on a problem car they would of gave you $8000. The chart below is a reference point from [redacted] Auto Auction ( Largest Auto Auction in the US). This is the guide most dealers use for a point of reference of what a vehicle is worth.  You received a great number for your trade in this transaction it was traded as if there was nothing wrong with it.   WholesalePrice  Above$13,000   Average$10,550   Below$8,050

[redacted], I apologize for the inconvenience, it appears the [redacted] does have an accident and airbag deployment reported on 04/06/14. We traded the car before this was reported to [redacted]. So when the car was traded in that was not on the [redacted] at that moment when we ran it for...

trade appraisal. [redacted] is a good tool but unfortunately it is not real time which leaves some gaps like this one. We had no idea about the airbag deployment the customer did not disclose that information to us. It is not our legal responsibility to supply a [redacted] to customers so without you asking for it, you would not see it. Our process is to run an [redacted] or [redacted] before we trade any car and in this situation the day we traded the car there was nothing on the [redacted] or [redacted] about airbag deployment. Since we were both blindsided by this I can understand how you feel. I will be more than happy to give you fair market value for your [redacted] if you trade it in here.  If you want to proceed on a trade in you can start by looking at vehicles for sale at Kiaofwestchester.com. [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]
 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:That response is bogus and provided inaccurate information. First of all, I never stated anything about being charged for the mud on the car. I was pointing that out to show that the car was clearly not inspected in a timely manner of me turning it in. Kia of West Chester is refusing to take any blame when they should be. They are the branch of Kia that I dealt with. They took physical possession of the vehicle, for at least a short period of time. They contacted me to end my lease early and leased me another vehicle. Also, I am not sure where those numbers are coming from. He is stating the bill was "$1300 plus before adjustments". The wear and tear damage charges, which is what I am fighting, were $650 to begin with; they are throwing out a higher number to be deceiving on how much they "helped me out". Not to mention, it is simply the principle of how they made their sale. Kia of West Chester is trying to say they are not to blame, yet they had me at the dealership for 4 hours talking me into a new lease and didn't even think to mention charges I would be receiving from my old lease.

Thank you for the feedback.  The vehicle was delivered to the customer on good faith using information provided by the customer during the initial application process.  After taking delivery of the vehicle, the lienholder conducted a customer interview, which is standard procedure for...

sub-prime credit customers.  During the interview, the customer provided information to the lienholder which was NOT disclosed during the initial application process.  Consequently, the lienholder nullified the approval and contract.  As a result, we absorbed the cost of securing an approval through another lienholder.  The customer has since been re-contracted at a lower payment as a result.  As of 11/3/2017, the loan has been finalized and the issue is resolved.

I understand why you would feel this way, no one expects to have to invest in their newly purchased vehicle.  As you see with the [redacted] uci attachment we provided services on this [redacted] to make future investments minimal. These were all recommendations provided by our certified technicians that...

were all completed. They did not know of a leaking Heater Core, if they did they would of recommended it. The air fresheners are from a third party company that we use. They come out once a week and put those air fresheners in every pre own vehicle we offer for sale, they are meant not to cover up anything just to make our cars spell pleasant.  The risk involved in purchasing older vehicles with higher miles is just this things can break and they will break with no warning. There comes an expense with maintaining an older vehicle. You have owned the Vehicle since 12/18/2015 with no purchase of an extended warranty only warranty you received is the complementary one from our dealership which is good for 30 days from purchase, so that is expired. I understand your belief is the dealership knew about the problem before it was sold so the dealership needs to fix it but that is simply not true. The truth of the matter is, it is a 2008 [redacted] with 78,000 miles on it and the heater core just ran it's course without clear warning  signs when we inspected it.  I also attached the forms that were signed knowing you were purchasing the [redacted] AS-IS, and where you signed off on declining the extended warranty. I know this is not the answer you are looking for but the dealership did not do anything wrong this is a transparent transaction the unfortunate part is that the [redacted] needs something and unexpected repairs are hard to deal with especially if you do not have disposable income to correct the problem.   I am willing to help you out with this, if it helps you I will split the cost of the repair you and I will split it 50/50 as a one time goodwill. Let me know if you accept this goodwill offer and I will have our Service Manager call you to set it up.
