Mr *** and myself have spoken and we have set up service to correct the issues he was having.
after conducting service we should have everything in order and to the homeowners satisfaction

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/11/26) */
The basin that we originally thought we would be able to tie into is a grey water basin, per city of Chicago code we can not tie into this and would not be able to pass an inspectionWe ended up providing a new basin and pump at no
additional chargeThe back up pump the customer is referring to was to be installed in the grey water basin which also has sewage going into it, the pump is not manufactured to handle this type of application, which is why we would not install it
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/12/01) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This was clearly an oversight by U.SWaterproofing RepsThe company is very much aware of the correct water basin to use to pass city of Chicago code inspection and the priceThey have been in business since I was quoted three different prices after two Reps came to my home to evaluate the jobThe representatives should have known whiich products my property could use when I signed the "ultimate drain title system pre-installation confirmation agreement"Customers rely on the professionals knowledge for products and serviceThis was a costly oversight, my balance increased by $I paid This company has bad business practices, I am not a satisfied customerNo additional chargeNot true! The company should have taken the lost for $I never received a revised contract with correct products & service listedBad business
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2014/12/03) */
The oversight was unfortunate however we can not by law install our system into a grey water basin by codeWe installed the correct basin for our system, The original contract has a line that states we are not responsible for the existing basinThe true cost of a new pump and basin is close to $we agreed to split more than half of the cost since it was our mistake

Re: Review of U.SWaterproofing
After my wife and I made an offer on our now home, we contacted U.SWaterproofing to perform an inspection to determine if we needed to address any seepage issues With a home that was originally built in the late 1800’s, we were concerned with the integrity of the bricks and foundation from external seepage Matt *** came by our home during the attorney review period and provided a thorough analysis of our basement
Rather than provide us with a list of doomsday predictions, Mr*** identified areas of concern and offered options to us on a timetable that we were comfortable with As we inevitably reach the target dates on the proposed timetable, we will definitely contact U.SWaterproofing to perform the work Mr***’s advice was offered in a friendly, yet assertive and confident, pressure-free approach that made us feel better about moving forward with the purchase of our home
I would and have recommended the services of U.S Waterproofing to friends and family

I called U S Waterproofing to look at a seepage problem in my basement and get an estimate on the work Their salesman came out and wrote up a plan of action, gave me an estimate and said that he needed a 20% deposit ($1,055.00) that day I reluctantly agreed because I wanted to get the problem resolved as soon as possibleThe next step in the process was to have a project manager come out a few weeks later to assess the job and the work that would be done I didn't expect to have to wait another few weeks just to have someone else from U S Waterproofing come out to assess the job and still not do any work Since I had to wait for any work to get started, I contacted other companies to give me their estimates I found another company that could do a more thorough job, in a more timely fashion and at a better price I called U S Waterproofing to cancel the work order and get a refund of my deposit I spoke with someone named John His first statement to me was "Tell me why I should give any of this money back to you" I said because you haven't done any work other than giving the estimate and you haven't bought any materials for the job John said that because I signed a contract he doesn't have to give any of my money back I told John I didn't want U S Waterproofing to do any work for me John said that he might keep $of my money and send me a check for the balance of my deposit Needless to say I'm still waiting to receive anything from U S Waterproofing I truly believe that crooks like John always suffer in the end

Several years ago we discovered cracks in our foundationWe called US Waterproofing and patched up the cracks from the outsideSeveral years later of the leaked again so we called US Waterproofing again and now, NO LEAKS!

A check was issued on 12/1/2014 for an over-payment in the amount of $300. The check # XXXXXX. The original work date was a clerical error and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. it is not our policy to issue a...

credit for the time it takes to provide the refund, their is protocol that we must follow to issue refunds and it usually takes 2-3 weeks.

publishing of my report on Revdex.com website?  I know Revdex.com will edit it and remove names I mentioned but if it's possible to cancel it being published all together I would like to do that.  My dealings with this company were positive except for interactions with just one of their employees who seemed to be blocking my refund, and I only wanted a refund for services that were not completed. Also, I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Sincerely,

I had a significant foundation issue. I had many companies come to my home and provide different ways to fix the problem. US Waterproofing was well rated via my own research and based on my discussion with their staff (specifically [redacted] I was confident my problem could be fixed and I knew US Waterproofing would do it right. The project was in-depth (lasted ~ 1.5 weeks), but I was impressed with their expertise and professionalism from the start. The job exceeded my expectations and Us Waterproofing stands by their work with an extensive warranty. I would highly recommend US Waterproofing to any homeowner with foundation issues.

Extremely professional company with experienced, knowledgeable employees who performed the work as scheduled in a very competent manner. All were very helpful and did everything to complete the job as promised. They stand behind their work and are very responsive. Family owned with many long time employees with a strong desire to have a happy customer. Extremely satisfied and would definitely recommend to others.

determine the next steps. We again apologize we couldn't get out sooner.

While the issue may have been misdiagnosed in your eyes, we have gone above an beyond by sending crews and field supervisors out to try and help pin point the issue. We expended many man hours trying to help . your request to have the full deposit refunded I can not honor, however I would be...

willing to split the difference of the deposit simply because we did install a membrane and came back numerous times to try and figure out why you were still getting water in the basement.
If you are in agreement I would be more than willing to have this expedited asap.

I look forward to your response

U.S. Waterproofing installed two escape windows in April of 2014 for the previous homeowner a Mr. [redacted] while installing these windows we hit a drain tile that was about 8' away from the house, this drain tile was installed by...

the original builder and not installed by us, we repaired it since we ran into it unexpectedly. drain tile is usually right next to the footing. we have photo documentation of the pipe and where it was in relation to the house and where we were while we were conducting our workd. Our install was done to code and the repair to the drain tile was made properly. The construction of the house and where the drain tile was placed when the house was originally done was not our doing.

We have spoken to the customer and set up a meeting to look into his concerns.

I no longer worry when it rains. It's been 4 years and not a single drop of water in my basement after U.S waterproofing fixed my seepage/ cracks

My experience with US Waterproofing was nothing but positive. The rep was punctual, friendly and very detail oriented. A few weeks after I signed the contract the crew arrived. The workers were great. They were very polite, kept to themselves and finished the job as expected. We are very pleased. Our basement is no longer a storage pit and has become a useful and functional part of our home. We should have done it 15 years ago as it is well worth the investment, long overdue but worth every penny. Thank you US Waterproofing for your honesty and efficiency.

In 2004 US Waterproofing installed a drainage tile system and when another and somewhat related issue came up I called them again.

Mike [redacted] was knowledgeable, helpful and on point with the issues and my concerns! It is great when you feeling like you are working together to solve the issue to meet the goal both water and financial wise!

Thanks

The issue you were having ended up being an above grade problem, we do not fix above grade issues we only repair below grade problems, we have been nothing but willing to help you even if it wasn't something we can't fix. We rely on you the homeowner for information  as to when and where you get water.  if your walls were never opened as our contract states there is no way for us or anybody to properly diagnose the issue.

I would be willing to refund half the deposit, I can't refund the entire amount nor offer any warranty since our contract states that any balance needs to be paid in full for our warranty to be valid.

My husband and I had U.S. Waterproofing come and do major work to our home. We had a cracked foundation that needed peering with stainless steel piers. Drainage around the outside of our home and drainage in our basement with a second sump pump. A dry well installed in the front of our home. The company did a wonderful job. They were very careful not to damage our lawn. Using plywood to cover the grass for when they needed to drive their back hoe in the front and side of our yard. After they were finished doing all of the work you could not even tell anyone was in the front yard. Everyone was very professional and considerate. The job was done ahead of scheduled time. With our first visit we had every question answered by the salesman. He was very thorough and took the time to go over everything with us. I would highly recommend them to do any waterproofing job to anyone. Our basement is dry after 27 years.

This home has multiple areas of water infiltration. Mr. [redacted] didn't want to spend the money to fix everything and was told the cracks are a good place to start. Also being the most conservative approach, which we take with all of our...

customers. The water stopped in the corner were it was originally leaking. We had originally explained that the gutters and driveway were contributing factors. Ultimately more work would be and is needed, this was known by both parties. Generally when our customers get Drain Tile work done through us, we credit the monies spent on the cracks towards this new work.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/06/02) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The water has never stopped and still currently leaking. The work performed has done nothing to help with water leak.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2014/06/13) */
Our customer knew he potential of other problems. We chose the most conservative approach, the cracks in the foundation which regardless of other seepage issues, need to be fixed. We have stopped some of the water that was coming from the cracks. The next step is Drain Tile. As we usually do, we offer to reduce the cost of a Drain Tile system by the monies already spent for the cracks. We are still happy to stand behind our offer.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 14, 2014/06/13) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
their professional recommendation is to fix the crack has not slowed down the water at all when I was guaranteed that this would work.

I am a union electrician construction worker now for 23 years. Have done homes and more. When doing homes where the family is home and children are present, you MUST not only be as invisible as possible, you MUST be as neat, prepare for any mess ahead of time, and MUST clean up after yourself and keep the family in mind at ALL TIMES. Santiago for US Waterproofing met ALL OF THE ABOVE. This gentleman, was VERY courteous, cleaned after himself as he worked, and kept in mind my 4 year old son in mind when I was down talking with him while my son was present. He made absolutely no sound as he worked. Any and all questions, he answered to my satisfaction thoroughly. As for the work, absolute top notch, 4 foundation cracks repaired that used to POUR WATER in rains. I had 3 cracks and Santiago found one more on site to which he pointed out to me that was STARTING to open. Explained how it MIGHT NOT LEAK NOW, but with winter water intruding, freezing and thawing contraction might eventually open the crack. I decided on the spot to repair. ABSOLUTELY NO WATER after repair and had 3 rain falls to test. COMPLETELY DRY. VERY VERY VERY SATISFIED AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND US WATERPROOFING AND SANTIAGO.
