Kirk Development Company Reviews (48)

The work we conducted was done in accordance with signed contract dated 12/2/15. Our General Conditions were also initialed and accepted as part of our contract . Our contract states that is is a "mutually  agreed upon contract " and "it is possible there may be additional problems that are...

not included in this contract."The original contract amount was $8000. There was a separate contract for additional work that totaled$2600. A total of $10,600 in work was performed. We had already reached a settlement, where we discounted the work by $6300 ( we received a deposit of $800 and then we received a separate check for $3500).
We feel we have been more than fair;the foundation had an existing issue that needed to be addressed and the water softener line was an entirely separate issue.

In May 2015 , after the work was done, my basement continued to have puddles of water come in at the same area. I was given advice from US W to wait a little while longer for the underground water system to work. Water continued to seep in puddles a few weeks later in June 2015. I called, called and called and was ignored. Finally in December 2015, someone came out and offered to check it out by tearing down my basement wall and there will be a charge. I asked why don't you go back outside to your water system and validate that it is operating properly. After several minutes of reasoning, reluctantly US W, said they will return to work on outside in a few days, but never returned. My basement continues to puddles. I am so disappointed with the professionalism of US Waterproofing and how they ignore my calls and avoid my complaints. I want US W to stop the water seepage properly without more cost to me and/or refund my money. My 3 year old grandson sleeps there where it floods. I hired them because the salesman convinced me that they can find and stop the seepage. The underground system is not working. My next step is to report this to Revdex.com.

I had a significant foundation issue. I had many companies come to my home and provide different ways to fix the problem. US Waterproofing was well rated via my own research and based on my discussion with their staff (specifically Chris [redacted] I was confident my problem could be fixed and I knew US Waterproofing would do it right. The project was in-depth (lasted ~ 1.5 weeks), but I was impressed with their expertise and professionalism from the start. The job exceeded my expectations and Us Waterproofing stands by their work with an extensive warranty. I would highly recommend US Waterproofing to any homeowner with foundation issues.

We repaired 3 cracks in February of 2001. The customer then had water on different walls in March of 2001 and contracted with us again to...

repair 6 more cracks. The Foreman noted on our work order that one crack in particular had an obstruction where he could not get all the way down to the footing. Just one crack out of the nine we did. The customer signed this work order upon completion. A little more than one year later in May of 2002, he called to inform us that he had another company repair this one crack as it had leaked again. We were not even given the opportunity to try and rectify the ongoing issue. As a result of the other company being able to dig the entire crack, we refunded the cost of the crack to the customer. We have had no contact from this customer since 2002.

I don't recall being refunded and $, but every crack they repaired and charged me for was again correctly repaired by a another private contractor. I didn't contact them for the repair because they said it couldn't be repaired. And why give them a chance to try fixing what they already incorrectly repaired.

The crack price was refunded. I have the check stub and letter of acceptance signed by the customer on file. Only one crack was ever an issue and that issue was taken care of through your refund. The other 8 cracks are not an issue.

Today James repaired/sealed a foundation wall crack. His work was first rate and the impacted area was cleaned to a high degree.
It all started with an assessment made by Anthony [redacted]. He was thorough in his assessment, explanation of options to remedy the problem, professional, and above all is a nice person.

The area in which the homeowner is experiencing the seepage 2' away from the original area we repaired. This is considered as new area and not covered under the warranty we provide., Mrs [redacted] was offered a solution at a heavily...

discounted price but it can not e completed until spring due to the extremely frigid temperatures we are experiencing. The membrane needs to cure at a temp of 50 degrees .

On November 18, 2014, the last company representative that came to my house to review the problem, called to tell me that it was no way for them to know that there was another area where the water was seeping in both areas & they would have there first representative call me to come out to my house to do another water test, to give a significant discount on the area needed to be repair. But, I am still waiting and have not received another call or heard from anyone from US Waterproofing since the Representative called on Nov 18th, to give me the cost of the significantly low price to be charged. And I see in their Revdex.com response that the problem isn't covered under warranty because it is supposedly 2" away from original area but the water still flows into both rooms just like it did before the area 2" away was patched & sealed.

I have not received a call from or anyone come out to do a water test with a water hose to determined how far the water seepage is from where they previously sealed the one area & to give the heavily discounted price quote for the April spring weather. We had a few days in the 50s last week to do a test. When the last representative came out, I did have the newly finished drywall removed ahead of time to be reviewed by the representative as requested. Reading the last company's response, it sounds like they are backing off they're offer to do the completed, properly done work at the discounted price rate. I just ask that the company follow through to do the completed work at the discounted rate in April, as they stated that they will do. And I haven't received a price at this point.

I just notified the advisor to make sure he contacts you and gets you a new contract with the discounted pricing applied. we will make every attempt to have the work done first thing in the spring but we do need a contract in place, to avoid any confusion

Upon the purchase of a home from the first owner, I immediately identified possible water drainage trouble areas. I contacted US Waterproofing and their sales representative was immediately in-touch with me to discuss my landscaping drainage concerns. I contracted US Waterproofing to perform exterior underground gutter extensions and French drains, as well as installing interior basement battery backup sump pumps and humidity control.

The crews for this multi-day project were professional and on-time. They were attentive to the existing landscaping and underground irrigation sprinkler system, as well as my family members. They routinely provided status updates on their progress during the multi-day endeavor.

The sales representative, Chris, was the best by far of everyone that I had to quote the job. His frequent visits both before, during, and after the project were wonderful. He identified possible pitfalls and proactively presented solutions. As the project was performed late in the fall season, Chris revisited the project in the next spring season and worked to identify remaining issues which were immediately corrected and even enhanced.

I would strongly recommend Chris and the US Waterproofing teams!!! I even have future work already in mind for their assistance.

Review: There are problems with the overall communication, service, and execution of my remodel contract. They are now trying to collect the last payment, with the job finishing 5 months late. I don't feel I owe it considering all the problems. I feel I'm owed a refund, actually, but there was such a lack of communication about the schedule that I doubt I could prove it. They have offered a settlement that reduces my final payment if I promise not to do this, and to remove negative review on [redacted] list. I did not accept the settlement, because they are trying to buy my silence. Even if they offer to deduct the entire amount I will not agree to ignore what happened or the fact that their settlement offer was blatantly unethical.Desired Settlement: To not owe the entire final payment. To be able to give an honest review both to the [redacted], Revdex.com, and [redacted] without having anything over my head.
