Klein, Theodore DDS Reviews (82)

We have attempted to contact the customer by phone to advise that we will waive any applicable termination fee, however we were unable to leave a message as the voicemail box is full.

We have reviewed all account information related to this former Just Energy customer and can conclude the following: The customer contacted [redacted] in January (2017) to inquire about rates which pertained to a Just Energy program. Enrollment was processed and no mention of Ambit Energy was made...

based on a review of the enrollment call. It is our impression that the customer may have thought she was enrolling with Ambit. On March 6th, the customer contacted Just Energy and expressed that she had meant to go with Ambit, so we initiated the process to return her to her previous energy provider (which was TXU). The customer was advised not to make any payments as the transfer to her previous  provider was underway. A subsequent conversation was had with the customer in late March prompted by a winback campaign by Just Energy. The customer contacted us in early April to express her desire to proceed with Just Energy, at which time a new account with us was opened. Shortly after (April 18) the customer switched away leaving a final bill amount of $27, which we have waived. Attempts have been made to contact the customer to review the events that transpired, confirm that Just Energy has waived the outstanding bill amount (of $27) and that no cancellation fees have been applied. We will try again to contact her towards a satisfactory resolution.

Following a thorough review, we can confirm that there were several move transfers associated with this account. Although we note consistent payments, it appears the customer may have overlooked her final bill. There was an address error on our part regarding the first location however that was...

corrected and her services were moved  to the correct address. This may be the cause for confusion. As a customer service gesture, we have moved to waive the final balance owing and have attempted several times to contact the customer to advise.

We have been in touch with the customer to confirm that we have processed a cancellation of his account without penalty, and that it will take 1-2 billing cycles for the cancellation to take effect. He expressed his understanding and it is our belief that the matter has been resolved to the...

customer’s satisfaction.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  First off you sent me to the legal team when you couldn't prove I was wrong.  I have been dealing don't act like you are just not sending me over! I declined offer because I am owed more!!
This matter would not go to the legal team in most situations.  The problem is this company and how they go about handling things!  They are liars and scam people into their contracts so lets consider the source.Contract was signed in 2008 for 5 years with Universal (see attachment) NOTE: The cost of gas also note that they called it a NATURAL GAS PRICE PROTECTION PLUS PROGRAM!! Average MI consumer pays $3-$5 per MCF.  They came to the door and lied stating gas was cheaper and tricked me into a contract, they told me there was some shortage and with this plan I would be guaranteed gas at a cheap rate! I paid TRIPLE what most consumers pay in the state of Michigan you see that as well? Says we signed up to pay $11.49 per MCF!  How is that cheaper??   They ripped me off and this company sees no problem in that!  In 2010 I got a letter from same company contract was signed with so I called and cancelled that 2008 contract! (see attachment) I was even told the termination fee was waived because I told them I was sue them for unfair business practices. OH YES its all come back to me now....I found my whole pile of notes in my basementI have told them I cancelled and was told they show no record of me calling.  OK like I believe a word this company says.  So they must prove I didn't call, but they cant!  Also the letter states if they don't hear from me the contract is terminated.so 2010 contract was over!!Now that these 3 people who cant get this right (Simone, AL  and Barbara ) I have decided to take this up with others aside from the Revdex.com.  I have had it!This company is giving me the run around and they are trying to scare me into taking the refund they feel they want to give.  Not what's right! They keep telling me they bought out Universal in 2011 and sent us a postcard to let us know our account was being handled by them. Oh they sent me a copy of what they sent back in 2011 and yea I can pretty much guarantee that went in the garbage seeing as I had never heard of Just Energy and to me I thought it was another person trying to sell something. They have had my phone # the whole time!  You think anyone would call me?  Nope!  Never made an effort via phone.  Again something only a dishonest company would do!Now that they wont work with me I am fighting and I wont stop for all my money back from 2010 when I cancelled.  I was willing to settle for refund from 2013 when that 5 year contract ended but now they have really got to me with all the runaround.  Have I noted here that they refuse to give me a breakdown of what I paid to them as a customer? Only a dishonest company would not provide that info to a consumer! If they were honest they would give it to me so we can settle this but they want to keep going.Don't let them fool you the offer made was not nearly what is due back to me.  I will keep going....I have never in my life felt so ripped off.  I really want to take it to my local news so others know to check their bill that is my goal if they don't give me a refund! Go ahead take a look at attachments they also say that the contract noted auto renewal which is not correct!  That 5 year contract that was cancelled in 2010 is pretty simple and Just Energy was never given authorization to keep charging us!I have since spoken with numerous people that have fell victim to the lies from this company.  We will fight together if need be!
Regards,
 [redacted] and [redacted]!

A Just Energy representative has attempted to contact the customer on more than one occasion, however, without success. We have confirmed that the higher bill amounts on this account are directly related to elevated energy use. A voicemail was left advising that, as a customer service gesture, we...

will waive any applicable early termination fee. As the customer has transitioned to another provider, the account will be closed with one final bill remaining to clear by the customer.

We have been in communication with the customer and continue to work to address and resolve their concerns.  Following a full review of the account, we can confirm that they entered into an agreement with [redacted] for natural gas supply in June 2008 for a five year term....

In early 2011, Just Energy acquired [redacted], at which time correspondence was sent to all affected customers, including this case, to advise them of the transition. In November 2013, a renewal letter was mailed to the customer advising that the account was set to renew on a month to month term. As no communication was received by the customer following the renewal notice, the renewal proceeded. At this time, given the confusion and misunderstanding involved, we are happy to work with the customer towards a satisfactory resolution in some reimbursement form.

Thank you. As long as this is removed from my credit I am satisfied with the response.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.

We have made every effort to work with the customer and resolve the issue with absolute fairness and consideration. We have since reimbursed her the difference between Just Energy’s contracted rate and what she would have paid the utility for the period March 2013 through to June 2016. The additional funds being requested (to refund her full supply charges) go above and beyond, and equate to complementary commodity supply over the period cited, which is unwarranted. While customer satisfaction is extremely important to us, it is also important to ensure fairness for all of our customers.

We have reviewed the customer’s concerns regarding her account and billing arrangements and have since contacted her to confirm that the account has been cancelled. We also contacted the utility, ATCO North, to double check the meter readings for consumption accuracy, which was determined to be...

correct. As a customer service gesture, we have agreed to reimburse the customer her final bill charges.

We have reviewed the customer’s comments and concerns against our records and confirm that an error did take place on the part of [redacted]. We have since corrected the issue which is to remove the balance from her account and close at $0. Efforts are also underway to remove the account from...

collections. We have attempted to contact the customer to confirm this and extend our sincere apology for the error, and the upset and inconvenience caused. We will follow up with an email communication to her.

We have spoken with the customer and confirmed enrollment took place in May 2016. We have since moved to drop the gas supply services, which will take 1-2 billing cycles. The customer is aware that he will be serviced by the utility once the drop is completed.

We have reviewed the customer’s account and have agreed to reverse the early termination fee and cease collections activity. We have since communicated this to the customer directly and concluded the matter to his satisfaction.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.

Following a review of the account and based on the customer’s experience, we have waived her final bill. As she has switched to an alternate provider, her Just Energy account is now closed with a zero balance.

We have re-connected with the customer in an effort to resolve the matter. While it has been confirmed that the customer did validate her natural gas agreement at the time of enrollment, in view of her billing concerns, we have agreed to reimburse her the difference between our rates and the utility’s rates for the period October 1, 2015 to October 3, 2016. Following our conversation with the customer, we believe the issue has now been resolved.

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]
Regards,
A business saying they are going to take action does me no good. I want details. I want to know the outcome. I want to know why their employees are allowed to forge signatures, provide false names and numbers and in general be rude. The company has a long history of this and I am not sure why they are shut down. I have read about many lawsuits and complaints against just Energy. Unfortunately for them, they decided to con the type of person who is known to hold grudges and carry on things to the end when it serves a purpose. I will not take forgery and false signups lightly. This employee needs to be terminate and I would like Just Energy's Ohio division to reach out to me and provide me with his information so I can press some charges.
