Lied To
Purchased a car in April, brought the car back 4 times within the first30 days. They misdiagnosed the issue each time, even after saying they took the car to the manufacturer dealer. I then took the car to the manufacturer dealer, and they had the car fixed in less than a month. It needed anew transmission. I feel they lied about the issue so as to get past the used car warranty days so they could say they weren't responsible. Which they haven't even tried to own up to. The fix they misdiagnosed was 6k.

Integrity and your word??
I recieved a call in the morning about a truck I had seen on line the night before. I explained to the salesperson that I had a set amount of money and could I please have a "walk out the door" price. I recieved a detailed price quote that included the sales price, taxes, tag and title, and a processing fee. I asked the sales person to send me a few pictures of the truck and about an hour later e-mailed and then called to say I would like to buy the vehicle. I called my bank, made all the arrangements to bring out the needed paperwork for tomorrow and my wife and I went out to celebrate our new purchase. At 8:30pm and having dinner I recieved a call and was told that the price I was quoted would not be honored. I looked on line and saw that the truck price had been raised a thousand dollars. The sales person was very apologetic, but the sales manager said he would not honor the price and seemed anxious to get on to what must have been a better offer for the truck. The word of the management staff here apparently means nothing. It would seem from my experience that those horrible stories you hear about used car sales people are probably true!

Hello, The bottom line is that Koons has tried and we do care! Again, you can take the car anywhere you want and have the repairs madeBut depending on where you take it there may or may not be a diagnostic feeKoons was trying to avoid you paying this fee thus we set up an appointment with the manager at [redacted] on your behalfWe confirmed this appointment with you and you did not showWe will also diagnose, for free, and repair any issues at our shop in [redacted] however, you did not want to drive to [redacted] We have tried! We cannot diagnose an issue when we do not have availability to the vehicle Our General Manager has ridden with you in the car and none of the issues you describe could be dulplicated At this time you even shared that the engine not firing had only happened once Again, the DATE of the Warranty purchase is listed directly on the paperwork of the warrantyThere is NO way that Koons could attempt to scam the warranty company, nor would we! We have shared that we will gladly attempt to trade you out of the car after 6-months of timely paymentsUntil then it will be counter productive for both of us If you choose to let [redacted] diagnose the issue you are experiencing, and they can duplicate the issue, Koons will gladly allow you to use a loaner vehicleWe were never approached regarding your use of one until this exchange Respectfully, Koons Automotive

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:The company copy of the check they have claimed to have sent out was never receivedThis may be because it indicates the incorrect address, the one in which my ex-husband residesI updated my address for them regarding this matter on at least separate occasionsAs for the length of time they had the vehicle, the bill of sale for the vehicle was April 24th, 2015...I have attached text messages from the dealership that indicated the extended period of time the car was there and them claiming to have fixed the brakes when clearly that was untrue (as the date they actually have a receipt from fixing the car is AFTER the date I received the car back)The rubber lining on the trunk was assumed to be the issue with the trunk, however, water STILL gets into the trunk when it rainsThis problem has occurred since the first week I actually received the car back from them..which was well within the warranty periodThe additional warranty I purchased indicates that the consumer must report car issues to the dealership before pursuing repairsI don't know how that can happen when I'm constantly ignored and lied to by this dealershipI feel like I was manipulated into purchasing a warranty they don't intend to honorI have attached photos and video of text messages and my trunkIf there is difficulty opening the attachments, please let me knowThey were taken with my iPhone Regards, [redacted]

Please find attached the last couple of conversations between Koons and [redacted] After viewing the last submission by our customer its in Koons best interest to relay the conversations that have transpired in writingPlease also find the check that was cut for [redacted] In addition to the check being in the envelope mailed a copy of her registration, as she requested, was also in the envelope.Thank you,Katrina

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: My acceptance of a response from Koons is contingent upon the fixing of the ding on the right front door of the vehicle In reference to the business' last reply, I have attached a copy of the advertisement that shows the advertised price of the vehicle at $23,whereas the vehicle was sold to me for a total of $32, This is a price increase of $ It is true that Koons allowed me $for the trabut in returned increased the price of the vehicle by $ Even if they had only allowed me $for the trade-ins, I would not have felt that I was unconscionably cheated had the $been deducted from the advertised price versus the $from the grossly increased price I was charged I became vulnerable to being cheated because I had poor credit and they had obtained credit approval for me Had my credit been good I would have never gone to a used car dealer in the first place I will be submitting a separate complaint to the Revdex.com indicating the unconscionable increase in price I was charged for a used vehicle that had some deficiencies that needed to be corrected.Hopefully the attachment with Koons last response will not go public unless the personal information on it is redacted The attachment included my social security number as well as other personal information Regards, James [redacted]

Her employees denied servicing my vehicle from jumpThe week of [redacted] vacation, I notified Johnny, Donna, Stacey and a few others about getting my recordsA week and a half went by with no responseKatrina K [redacted] or TeresaEIther way they have expressed on their side stating they wanted exact dates and etc so that they could build a caseI dont have the exact dates because I was never given a receipt from jumpAt first they stated there were no records then one was found and their stry changedIf they dig deeper or if their manager did her job correctly I would have all of my recordsAfter the fact the employees and Mrs A [redacted] have approached me at my work place with a bad temper demanding for a signature and standing over me with her daughter at the side walk as if they were attempting to bully meThis company needs to be investigatedI am over it and will have to replace a part that they repairedAlso, in the receipt given they did not bleed the boosterI have compared the work order with two different service companies and they both state that the hours do not add up to the proper servicePlease ask Katrina to also send the screen shot of them still contacting me after the factThe same way they have felons working in their woodbridge facility posing as salespeople are the same way they are covering matters I am rejecting this response because: Regards, [redacted]

To Whom It May Concern -Let's review the facts and figures as related to your recent vehicle purchase -~ First and foremost, this is the second time you have referenced an internet ad as being attached to your Revdex.com complaint and NO SUCH AD HAS BEEN ATTACHEDRegardless, you replied to a Cars Direct ad on the internet and as a result of this visited our dealership (see attached)In addition, the internet pricing we advertise is usually on specific sites that are for our military and credit union customers.~ You purchased a [redacted] L Wagon with miles - practically a NEW vehicle (see attached Buyers Order).~ You were given credit of $per your request (see attached Buyers Order) for two vehicles you traded in: 1) a [redacted] with 97,miles and a 2) [redacted] with 170,milesThe total value of BOTH vehicles is approximately $The [redacted] sold for $and the [redacted] for $That's $for BOTH of your trade in vehicles that we over allowed you $on.~ There are two "we owes" for your purchaseThe first is signed by you on the original day of purchase, 5/(see attached) and contains three items: scratch on back hatch, owner's manual and tag bracketAll items have been taken care of The second "We owe" is also dated 5/but it was back dated to the deal date, signed by you, as you came back to the store several days after the purchase with additional you wanted taken Care of and Koons agreed to cover these items as well: Owners manual (On original we owe), tag bracket (on original we owe), small ding in door and scratch on bumper (completed yesterday), spare tire jack (doesn't come with jack but an air pump), storage container in rear of vehicle, and spare key (already provided), air bubbles in front window (pending mfgwarranty), rattle in front speakers (problem not found, customer stated his sun glasses were causing the rattle), rattle in lift gate (no problem found, Customer attempting to open an automatic lift gate manually), removed tint from both windows(See attached Repair Order) All items are completed.~ You claim you had poor creditWithout revealing your credit score we will suffice it to Say according to most industry standards you DO NOT have poor creditYou Were financed with [redacted] Bank [redacted] Bank is NOT known as a bank that purchases second chance or poor credit accounts [redacted] Bank is a first tier bank that purchases portfolios from good credit customersTo prove this you were financed at an interest rate of 3.69% (see attached contract status from [redacted] Auto Finance)Poor credit customers would not be able to get financed at 3.69%The interest rate range for poor credit customers is typically 15-24%You clearly were NOT in this rangeKoons also did NOT hold any additional points toward your rate/loanIn addition, it was because of the buying power of Koons, and your credit, that you were afforded the 3.69% interest rate! Most other used car dealers could not have presented their customer with the rate we provided youIn interest savings alone you should be appreciative.~ You paid $(see Buyers Order attached) for your vehicle that typically retails close to $35,Again, this vehicle was almost new with only 4,milesIf you will take into consideration the $that you were over allowed on your trade, per your request, and the $8230,you accuse Koons of profiting, net these two figures and Koons profited almost 13% on the sale of your vehicleVery few businesses could survive on a 13% profit margin.Koons isn't sure what you are attempting to share regarding our company with your reference to "shady, thieves and criminals" while in your next sentence you share "I'm not saying that Koons is shady but merely expressing your displeasure..." This is the second time Koons has been falsely accused and an apology would be appreciated. We can assure you that Koons is NOT shady, thieves or criminals and do not appreciate the referenceWe have delivered everything (all items on both we owes) that we said we would deliver to you in reference to the purchase of your vehicleWe were able to provide an interest rate that was better than the average person with your credit rating could have receivedWe have been courteous and helpful even while being degradedKoons has gone over and above for you.Lastly, the final "ding" was repaired yesterday, Tuesday, 6/30/We are told it was repaired to your satisfaction which was our top priority and goalKoons Automotive has been more than happy to assist you in all of your needs.Respectfully, Koons Automotive

Sir we apologize for your inconvenienceAs your mother stated on her [redacted] complaint you were told your pay stubs had to show hours per weekShe stated that you couldn't help two pay periods in which you worked less than hoursUnfortunately we couldn't help that either as it was no fault of our ownThe bank that we acquired the approval from required the hours per week work to validate your income level could sustain the vehicle payment, not KoonsOur hands were tied when your pay stubs didn't show thisIt profits us nothing to not obtain an approval on a bank loan for youOur business is based solely around the vehicles we sale and serviceWe were also told that the shake was repairedYou chose not to complete a bank interview until the vehicles shaking was repairedIt was repairedThank you and we are happy to help you with any of your other concerns at any time!Koons Automotive

[redacted] ,We sincerely apologize for your concerns and thank you for your businessAfter reviewing your purchase its important that you know that the auction this vehicle was purchased from did not disclose frame damage, because there was noneThe [redacted] does show an accident but it shown no frame damageThis vehicle does qualify for the [redacted] buy back guaranteeIt is my understanding that our general manager over heard you speaking to the manager at [redacted] ***He interrupted the conversation and shared that the bumper needed a clip to maintain the integrity designed to hold it to the frame of the vehicleHe offered to look at your vehicle and make the repair but you refused.Koons Autois more than happy to re inspect your vehicle and repair/replace the bumper clip, at your conveniencePlease just let us know.Thank you,Koons Automotive

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I have documentation to prove that one or more of the statements in the reply of the business is incorrect Naturally, I expected the business to go on the defense The documented proof will be presented in a court of law that I will be having my counsel to submit to the Stafford County clerk of the court (County of location for the business) The planned defendants in the court case will be [redacted] and Koons Automotive of Fredericksburg (Brian S***, Matthew D [redacted] , and Douglas J [redacted] ) The aforementioned planned defendants will be getting court summons after the submission of my complaint I desire no further responses from the business I plan to let the Stafford County circuit court make the final determination of my case once my complaint is submitted and heard before the court. The business is correct in stating that the deficiencies noted on the "we owe" statements were completed However, this only partially satisfies my overall complaint My major complaint is that I was grossly overcharged for the used vehicle compared to what I would have paid at a new [redacted] dealership for a brand new, never owned [redacted] had I had better credit I had tried obtaining financing beforehand through other sources for buying a new vehicle from a new dealership but was declined due to having a poor credit score (very low 600's) I had mistakenly taken Koons Automotive to be part of the Koons new car dealership in northern Virginia that had numerous advertisements in the newspapers and on television Much to my disappointment, I found, after the fact, that Koons Automotive is a completely separate and independent dealership from the Koons new car dealership in northern Virginia that did the great amount of advertising I'm sure the word Koons is not a registered trade-dress but the use of the same name for car dealerships, nevertheless, caused confusion for me Regards, [redacted]

Sir,We have spoken with the store General Manager and Assistant ManagerUnfortunately, neither of them remember these promises to you nor, according to them, did they put anything in writingPlease scan a copy of what you share you received from our location so we can view it and verify its authenticityIn the history of our company, and to our knowledge, we have never put such promises into writingThe reason we choose not to put such promises in writing is because there are no guarantees that we can obtain the financing needed at a later date in timeWe always do our best to obtain the best finance rate for our customers but no one holds a crystal ball into the future to be able to guarantee such pricingThere are other factors involved that are beyond our control as well, such as your timely payment, the condition of the vehicle, mileage on the vehicle, etcTherefore it is merely impossible to promise and guarantee such claimsPlease provide a copy of what you share was put in writing to youWe are happy to assist you in any way that we can and will work our hardest to provide the best possible deal we can.Thank you,Koons Automotive

12/4/14To Whom It May Concern,The first call the accounting office received from this customer was at 4:30pm 11/26/14, the day before ThanksgivingThe customer was advised that we would pull the file, perform research and be back in touch at our earliest convenienceShortly after this our General Manager, Lyndon G***, became involved in the issuesPlease share with us who the customer spoke with that was rude and hung up on him as we cannot locate this employeeIt is our understanding at time of settlement a year/warranty was originally purchased and then at the same time, during the purchase, was changed to a year/mile warranty through the same company, [redacted] The paperwork was not processed correctly thus accounting paid for the year/mile warrantyWhen this customer called the Warranty company he was calling about the year/mile warranty yet the 3/was on fileSince this time Koons has had the 4/warranty reinstated (remaining miles) per [redacted] of [redacted] , delivered a loaner car to the customer for his use, picked up his vehicle and it is being repaired in our shopThe transmission, as the customer relayed, is not out/damaged but there are repairs that need to be completedKoons service department reduced the price of the repairs significantly and the customer is paying for them personally as they are not covered under warrantyThis issue seems to be resolvedPlease let us know if there are any additional issues.Thank you,Koons Automotive

To Whom it May Concern,On 3/a lead source by the name of [redacted] submitted the attached application to Koons Auto [redacted] must have submitted an online application to a source on the internet while in search of a vehicleWe would have had NO other way to obtain his informationThere would have been a box on the application that he checked which allows our company to to pull his credit, thus the box in the bottom left hand of the application is marked "yes"Koons Auto has complied with all state and local regulations in obtaining this bureauMrHerb W [redacted] , sales manager, contacted [redacted] after his credit was runThank you for the inquiryKoons Automotive
