Ky-Ko Roofing was prompt in all aspects regarding my re-roofing project, from the estimate, to scheduling, to finishing.

They were very accommodating both scheduling around my availability and in re-scheduling around forecast poor weather. All employees were professional and friendly. I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend their services.

Ky-Ko representative was extremely courteous and thorough in evaluating and quoting a price on my roof repair. The workers were timely, neat and it appears did a great job. They actually did a little more than what the quote included. The price for the job was reasonable and equaled the quote.

[redacted] came to my house to give me a roof repair quote. I made it very clear that I could not afford to replace the roof. I looked outside and saw him on the wrong side of the house. I told him he wasn't near the problem. He said he was taking measurements. When he came into the house he had a sample of an insulated roof material. I told him I could not afford to replace the roof. He proceeded to show me pictures of my roof problems. I told him I could not afford to replace the roof. He told me as a homeowner I needed to keep my home in the best condition possible. I told him I could not afford to replace the roof. He told me there were cracks in the stucco that was causing some of the leaking problem. He told me he would like to refer me to a stucco specialist because the home's stucco needed to be replaced and as a home owner I had a responsibility to care for my home. I physically pushed him out the door. At 54, I have never been so severely disrespected. You need a new salesman!

Review: I called Kyko roofing to inspect two leaks in my roof, one on the interior second floor and one on the exterior patio. Kyko stated they couldn't repair the damaged areas and would need to replace the entire roof over both the house and the patio. After a few months of delay they started the work. During the first real rain storm in AZ both locations were leaking again. I called and left a message with Kyko the same day as the leaks started. They stated they would call me back the next business day, which would be September 2nd. By September 6th I had not heard back and another storm was causing leaks again so I called and left a message again. September 9th another storm was causing more leaks and I called once again. I spoke with the admin and she placed me on hold for 25 minutes. I hung up and called back, I stated I would like to leave a message and wait for a call back. The admin stated that I am better off sitting on hold because it could take days for a call back even though their policy is next business day. The admin refused to take my number for a call back so I went online and sent an email to the company. It has been over a week that my brand new roof that cost over $4,000 has been leaking and I cannot get ahold of the company that performed the work to get them to honor their warrantyDesired Settlement: Kyko needs to finish the job they started that I have already paid for or refund the money they received to perform the work.

The leak on the patio has caused the wood to sag which Kyko should be responsible for replacing.

The interior leak is over carpet which should be inspected and replaced at Kyko's expense if needed, since this is on the second floor there is wood under the carpet which could also now be damaged.

Response:

Mr. [redacted],

We have asked a warranty ticket be made and a service tech be scheduled. In looking at the file it appears that your job was an insurance claim. Once it has been determined what the source of the leaking is we can discuss the other damages you mention.

Sincerely,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

Hi I have not been able to find my warranty yet. Kyko roofing did come out and inspect my patio roof, they said the siding wasn't mounted correctly to the side of the house causing the water to run behind it and into the patio roof then leak out the middle. They said they would be back on Saturday the 12th at 10am to perform a water test and fix the problem. I will let you know if they come back to perform the water test this time and if the issue is resolved.

Thank you,

Jethro Sheridan

Regards,

Hi [redacted],

Kyko came out on Saturday the 12th and water tested my roof. The roof was still leaking, the patio wood is rotting, and the guy said that there is an entire section the company failed to seal correctly causing the leak. He said they would be contacting me Monday the 14th to schedule a time to replace the entire patio. I haven't heard from the as of today Friday the 18th. I left a message today requesting a call back and to find out what is going on. This is what I have been experiencing with the company for a year. I file a complaint with the Revdex.com, they respond immediately but then there is no follow up and I can't get a hold of the company again.

thank you,

Business

Response:

Mr. [redacted],I really don't have any excuses for this not being followed up on. This has caused us to review how we transfer information within our company. I understand that we are scheduled out to remove and replace the patio roof including any rotted wood. I apologize for the trouble you have gone through trying to get this resolved. Please do not hesitate to call me if there are any more problems. I will check with you when complete to ensure you are satisfied.Sincerely,[redacted]

We have a very large flat roof that was in need of serious repair to include the removal of the old and degreasing foam, replacement of portions of the plywood roof, and the reapplication of the new foam and protective coating. Ky-Ko provided us with reasonable quotation and was able to schedule the repair within a few weeks. The foreman on site worked hand-in-hand with another contractor I had working on the the replacement of wood siding that needed to be integrated into the work being done on the roof. Ky-Ko finished the roof in two days. I was very happy with the initial results but wanted a couple of minor issues corrected. The foreman came back to the house and had one of his crew correct everything I asked. I am very happy with the work provided by Ky-Ko to include their prompt response to my request for follow-up work. I would highly recommend Ky-Ko to family and friends, and plan to use them for all future roof repairs.

Ky-Ko has done a big roofing repair for me and then a foam coat for the flat portions of my roof. Both were years ago. They were good experiences. Ky-Ko just completed a re-coat (after 10yrs) on those foam-coated roof portions, and it was again a good experience. It was done right before the big storm (and ahead of schedule), and the newly coated roof showed no areas of concern even after the storm.

THIS IS THE SECOND ROOF KYKO HAS DONE FOR ME AND JUST LIKE THE FIRST ONE THAT DID IT ON TIME AND A TOP NOTCH JOB WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES IF YOU ARE LOOKLG FOR A NEW ROOF. THE OTHER GREAT SERVICE IS THE PAYMENT PLANS THEY HAVE ALWAYS WORKED WITH ME IN GETTING A FINANCE PLAN AND PAYMENTS THAT I COULD AFFORD

GREAT JOB KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK WILL HAVE ANOTHER ROOF FOR KYKO TO REPLACE NEXT YEAR MONTY WOULD BE PROUD OF THE WORK YOU GUYS ARE DOING THANK YOU

I especially like their crews which have excellent customer service skills as well as being good at their trade.

I am very pleased with the work done on my roof by KY-KO Roofing. The roof examination was thorough, well explained to my husband and me, and while the estimate was not the least expensive one submitted to us, I firmly believe that 'you get what you pay for.' The workers arrived when they said they would, worked diligently, did the job completely and within their estimated time frame. They cleaned up the entire area and were courteous. Customer service certainly appears to be their bottom line. We are very happy customers!

Review: Ky-Ko completed a complete roof replacement on my home in the first quarter of this year. On Friday, July 11th I discovered water leaking onto the ceiling of a second floor bedroom. I was scheduled to be out of town for two days so I turned off all access to water within and outside of the home. I returned on July 13th, the ceiling had dried out but had left about a four foot wide stain. I established that the leak may have been due to blocked condensation lines from one of the two air conditioning units. I attempted to clear the lines with a wet/dry vacuum. One unit ran fine, the second unit still remained dry with no condensation appearing in the line. I then called an air conditioning repair company to have them check the condensation lines. He could find nothing wrong with the lines. He then went onto the roof to inspect the units. He found that one condensate trap on one of the units had been installed backwards by the roofing company. He reversed the pipe and then tested the lines to ensure that condensation was running on both units. On July 14th, I contacted Ky-Ko roofing ([redacted]) I spoke with [redacted] a claims representative who took all of the information and asked that I send a copy of the invoice, which I did. She stated that they had a meeting scheduled for that day and would make sure my claim was discussed. We discussed the ceiling/wall damage and she said she would have a superintendent call to set up an appointment for inspection and remedy. As of July 24th, I have not be contacted by anyone from Ky-Ko. Not only do I have extensive ceiling damage, after their roofing work my two master cool evaporative coolers no longer worked as they had the previous spring. I believe that not only did they reinstall by air conditioning backwards, they also damaged the coolers. As a result, I was forced to use my air conditioning for 90 days during a period where the coolers would have been more than adequate. I choose this company based on their "perceived" reputation. With the series of issues I have with this company I would not recommend them to anyone.Desired Settlement: Repayment for the air conditioning repair call of $159.45. I want the damaged ceiling inspected and repaired. Repair to include damaged dry wall, insulation, and painting. Inspection and repair if necessary for the two master evaporative coolers.

We are currently in the process of getting in contact with the customer to work this out. We are willing to pay the A/C bill and have the ceiling repaired.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The two AC units and one of the coolers have been fixed. One of the coolers remains broken. A drywall repairman inspected the damage, but did not provide any estimates or dates on when it would be fixed. It has been three weeks since the inspection and we have not heard from him regarding the repair. My complaint has not been resolved.

Response:

I spoke to [redacted] and arranged for my people to meet him early this week to take care of the outstanding issues. It is my understanding that both of these people have reschedule to next week. I have an appointment with [redacted] tomorrow at 9am, not sure if that appointment will also need to be rescheduled. As far as I know we have discussed all of the issues and have made plans to remedy them.

Sincerely,

Quoted a fair price and gave excellent service. Everything done as promised.

Very professional and customer service oriented from quote to finish. Reasonable price and quality work.

Review: Signed contract for deck repair on 12/20/14. Sales representative was made aware and witnessed condition of deck, the deck is breached and although covered with tarps and cinder blocks whenever it rains massive amounts of water leaks into garage below.

It is now 3/3/2015 and I have yet to have any repair work scheduled. I have called and emailed everyone I could from the sales representative to the scheduling person to even the receptionist pleading to get this work scheduled restating the deck is breached and every time it rains my garage is taking on massive amounts of water. One storm in January filled up half a large garbage can I had place in the garage in a attempt to collect the water. Kyko roofing doesn't care and tells me they only schedule out 1-2 days in advance with jobs lasting anywhere from 1 to 5 days. If I was told it would be over three months to schedule work I would not of signed a contract with kyko an additional complaint is being sent to rarizona egistrar of contractors under abandonmentDesired Settlement: Desired outcome is to schedule and complete the work that was contracted, Kyko roofing should be responsible for additional water damage due to their extensive delays in scheduling work. If they are not able to complete the work in a timely manner they need to inform the customer so alternate repairs could be arranged for

Response:

Mr [redacted] contract was input into our system on January 5, 2015. We did speak with the homeowner and let him know how far out we were approximately for his type of work - depending on the weather. Due to some storms that we had, our whole schedule was pushed back. As of today, this job has been completed per the contract.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Kyko indicated 2-4 weeks for job completion but upon further conversations with their scheduling people only one day notice is given for work scheduling. Work was not completed for over 2 1/2 months. If scheduling is only done one day out how can weather play a factor that is assuming jobs are scheduled in a timely and professional manner. I experienced additional damage as part of the delays. The job was actually to repair the plywood on the deck then apply three coatings and paint. Kyko clearly knew the deck was breached and any rain would cause more damage given these facts they were remiss in not repairing the plywood to stop the leak then come back when scheduling and weather permitted according to their policies to complete the work. Kyko response doesnt address the complaint only the result of work being performed

Response:

Mr. [redacted],I can understand why you would be frustrated with the time it took to get to your job and I agree we should have done a better job communicating that there could be substantial delays due to weather. In this case would it be acceptable if we pay the delectable for the repairs up to $500 or the actual increase in the cost of repairs due to the extended time it took us to get to your project? If this is acceptable let me know the amount and I will authorize for us to reimburse you up to $500. Sincerely,[redacted]

Very professional and courteous employees - very professional and comprehensive estimate - very flexible in working out the best dates for installation - very helpful in dealing with special circumstances involving roof shingle brand / type and shed cover options - very helpful after installation while repairing / fixing some aesthetic issues and also ensuring proper orientation / leveling of AC unit - always very customer-oriented

Recently, I had KY-KO Roofing do some roof work for me. Part of this was repairing tile and part was foam. Their work greatly exceeded my best expectations. Each of the three teams involved in this work - tile, power clean, and Elastomeric top coat, were very professional, and explained what they did and why. I could not be happier.

I had Kyko over for the second job they have done for me in two years. I called them back because the first job went so well and the price was right. They are always on time, neat, and professional.

Review: In Dec 2014, KYKO installed a new roof to my residence. In May, during a rain storm, a leak in the kitchen ceiling was discovered. Upon investigating the cause of the leak, it appears the AC unit was not properly sealed when re-mounted during the roof installation. Water stains were evident through the attic an onto the ceiling drywall. The cost to repair this damage was $315.

Upon contacting KYKO of this issue, a KYKO technician was sent (July 6, 2015) to evaluate the leak and confirmed that several shingles needed to be replaced. He temporarily sealed the AC mounts but stated a more permanent repair was needed. After waiting approximately 2 weeks, I called KYKO to follow up on the repairs and they stated a scheduler would call back.

After another week, I called back and was able to secure a repair date of Aug 4, 2015. I was home most of the day on Aug 4 and did not see KYKO arrive to fix the roof. Upon calling on Aug 10, I was told the repairs were completed.

On each of the 3 calls to KYKO to schedule or follow up on the repairs, I asked about the process to file a claim to be reimbursed for the ceiling repairs. Each time, I was told a supervisor would contact me regarding my claim. To this date, I have not received any satisfactory resolution to my issue regarding reimbursement for repairs that were due to poor workmanship. In addition, I have no confirmation that any repairs were made on August 4 (I am temporarily physically unable to climb on the roof)

In summary, my problem with KYKO is their customer service, lack of follow up, and concerns about their Owners Pride Seal of Quality (warranty).Desired Settlement: The desired outcome is to have KYKO reimburse for repairs made to the kitchen ceiling due to poor workmanship causing a leak in the roof. In addition, I would like a work order or other evidence that the roof and the AC unit has been properly sealed to prevent future leaks.

Response:

Since this complaint a crew has been sent out to the house to confirm and or complete any roofing repairs that were needed on this roof. We have spoken with [redacted] and provided her with a check for her interior damages in the amount of $315.00.

My experience with Ky-Ko roofing was good from beginning to end. The process had continuity and their desire to do the right thing was clear. The estimate was thorough and was then used as the reference document by the crew that actually did the work including confirming the details with me before starting work. I was able to discuss the details with the crew when the work was in process and all of my questions were professionally answered. The knowledge and skills of the workman were obvious and excellent.

The work done by KY-KO was very professional. You gave us a clear understanding of what needed to be accomplished and how long it would take. I was impressed with the foremen and supervisors who checked to make sure the work was done satisfactorily and in a timely manner. The shingles where top quality and you can tell by looking at the new roof. Our house looks better than before. It has a classy look now. Thanks so much for doing a great job.

I had a flat roof over my sun porch that was leaking ever since it was built. I had several roofing contractors out to fix the leak with no success until I called KY-KO Roofing. Not only were they very professional and on time, but my roof hasn't leaked one drop in 5 years!!

KY-KO guaranteed their work at the time of service, and said they'd be out in 5 years to see how my roof was doing. They just recently was out for my 5 year check and all was good. I had them place another coat on my roof to continue the excellent work done.

I would recommend KY-KO Roofing to anyone looking for an excellent company to work with.
