We hired them to replace our entire roof 1 1/2 years ago. Their work was fine - nothing special, nothing terrible. Now it is leaking. I called to ask for someone to come out and honor the warrantee. The office staff is HORRIBLE - rude and condescending. They immediately warned me that if they can find any other reason for the leak they will charge a high "trip charge" and then would only give a FOUR HOUR time window since they don't want their employees "inconvenienced". I guess they don't mind that their customers are inconvenienced! The initial service was fine but the after the sale service is AWFUL! The office staff needs training on what customer service entails - heaven knows they are NOT the only roofing company around. "Crazy about quality" does NOT apply to their office staff.

The tile roof on my house was nearly 30 years old. The filament paper was bad and needed to be replaced, it was time for a new roof. I received three roofing quotes from “A” rated roofing contractors. I selected Ky-Ko based on the price, value, and reputation. Another quote was slightly lower, but Ky-Ko’s quote included the replacement of stacks, bird stops, drip edges, etc. on the roof and they provided a 10 year warranty. From the initial visit and quote, to scheduling, installation, and final inspection, Ky-Ko was very professional each step of the way. Ky-Ko met or exceeded all my expectations. After signing the contract, work would start in 4-6 weeks and it did. The job would take four days and it did. Final inspection would occur a few days after roof completion and it did.

Title roof work is very labor intensive and the Ky-Ko crew did excellent work and cleaned up the site after each day. My roof tiles are no longer made, so a section on the back of the house was going to be similar matching tiles due to the old broken tiles. The roofing Forman was able to secure matching tiles from another job and complete my roof with all original tiles. This went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. Additionally, the Ky-Ko crew did an excellent job with plywood replacement and fascia board replacement on the eves and overhangs. The fittings are precise and as good as new and attention to detail was fantastic. The crew even painted the replaced sections to match.

No doubt a new tile roof job is a costly endeavor, but it’s good to know Ky-Ko did quality work the first time and will back up the work with a 10 year warranty.

After 10 years our roof needed to be recoated so we called Ky-Ko roofing the company who originally did our roofing job. After a thorough inspection was done and being given several options and different price ranges we made our decision. After we gave Ky-Ko the go-ahead, we didn’t need to lift a finger! The job was completed in several stages and every crew that came out were on time every time and were some of the nicest people ever! After the prep work was taken care of, the actual roofing job was completely done in just 2 days! The following week Ky-Ko sent out another inspector to ensure the job was done correctly and to our satisfaction. The whole process was not the least bit stressful and we know that we were dealing with true professionals. We will always call Ky-Ko for our roofing needs and will definitely recommend them to any and all who need their roof looked after.

Review: Had Ky-Ko put a new roof on my office building in October 2012. Last night it had heavy leaking. Ky-Ko came out to check roof this morning, the tech told me it wasn't their responsibility to seal and make water proof anything going into my roof, and that is what is causing my leak. I spoke with [redacted], at Ky-Ko, she concurred with her tech that the fact that the roof is leaking around something going into the roof they are not liable. She said it was not their responsibility to make sure those areas are water-tight.Desired Settlement: I want the roof fixed, the damage that was caused to interior of office repaired, and a guarantee that the life of my roof is what they guaranteed when I purchased it.

After considering two bids for a new foam roof on my 40 year old home, which I've owned and lived in for 24 years, I choose Ky-KO Roffing Company, not necessarily because of the cost as both bids came in within several hundred dollars of each other.
Rather, I chose KY-KO because of their professialism and customer satisfaction. I was impressed with the estimator, the take off the old roof foreman, the installation of the new roof foreman.
KY-KO Roofing Comany is very professional and I would recommend them to anyone.

Ky-Ko re-roofed our house with asphalt shingles the last week in June 2014. They did an excellent job. The tear-off crew took off two layers of old shingles, hauled the debris away and did a thorough clean up job in the yard. The roofing crew was comprised of a foreman and three roofers, all very professional as well. They had to work around two A/C units and a satellite dish, in addition to the normal vents on the roof. Also, an inspector from Ky-Ko came out twice during the job to make sure everything was going according to plan. His third and final visit happened a few days after everything was done. Our new roof is beautiful and the price was reasonable. We would recommend Ky-Ko Roofing Systems to others.

We had used KY KO a few years ago when we had one leak and after the rain this past winter we didn't hesitate calling them again after we found another leak.. Our home is over 20 years ago and KY KO advised new roof. They couldn't guarantee there wouldn't be more leaks if they only patched existing roof. We agreed so we bit the bullet and had them re roof and replace any rotting wood and to use new technology materials under our stucco tile. Every person we dealt with was professional, friendly and very efficient.. A+ business. They might cost a bit more than other companies but they have been around a long time and will stand by their work. They completed the work in a very timely manner. We have one follow up issue and they quickly called us and scheduled a time to fix it.

Roof looks good, expecting no problems. If I do I feel confident they WILL stand behind their work.

Review: We hired KY-KO Roofing Systems to install a shingle/foam combination roof. They did not install the materials they agreed to install and did not complete the roof. When they returned to repair punch list items, they either showed up at the job without the materials needed to complete the work or they did not show up at all. I contacted KY-KO several times and set appointments and they did not show or when they did show up they did not have the correct materials and they said they would return later. They have made a couple of half hearted attempts to complete some of the work but have fallen short.

I believe there is wood that required replacement and I believe they roofed right over that wood. I told them I would pay the balance due when all work was completed. They did not foam sections they agreed to. They broke/damage some exterior lighting.

They then sent me to collections and damaged my credit. I contacted them about this and told them I am happy to pay the balance due when the roof is completed properly. I asked that they remove me from collections and make the appropriate notations on my credit report to explain this to any potential creditors. They refuse to do so and seem to be dragging their feet in completing this work.Desired Settlement: I would like them to complete all items left incomplete. I want them to replace the visible damaged wood they roofed right over and provide me proof that all wood that is NOT visible is in good, suitable condition as roof decking. I want them to pay for the lighting they damaged. I want this removed from collections and my credit report expunged of the detrimental informations stemming from this matter.

I want the warranty I was promised.
