*** *** is a Legend Solar customer that purchased her Solar Installation onMay 29, At that time *** chose to finance the solar installation usingtwo separate loans from a 3rd party bankOne of these loans is structured in such a waythat the customer makes no payments and pays no
interest for the first yearIf theloan is not paid off before the end of the first year it turns into long-term loan with ahigher interest rateWe use this loan in order to help our customers take advantageof the 30% federal tax credit and $2,Utah State tax credit the customer receiveswhen they purchase solar.Before *** accepted this loan her sales rep Mitchell Cook informed her that shewould not receive these tax credits until the beginning of when she filed hertaxesMitchell also encouraged *** to consult her accountant to insure that hertax liability would allow her to take advantage of the full amount of the tax credits.*** informed Mitchell that she had spoken with her accountant and she feltconfident that she would be able recoup the full amount of tax credits in the firstyear, which would allow her to pay off the loanBy doing this ***would avoid paying on a long-term loan that has a high interest rate.***’s complaint arises from the fact that after she filed her taxes she didnot have sufficient tax liability and was not able to completely payoff the loan.*** reached out to Mitchell as well as several other employees at LegendSolar with this concern*** was told several times that there was an optionto avoid paying the high interest ratesRather than working with Mitchell on thesolution *** chose to submit a complaint and refuse payment to the 3rd party bank.the 3rd party bank investigated what was going on and closed the case satisfied that Legend Solar had represented the situation accuratelyLegend Solar againreached out to *** and offered a solution to her problem and again sherefused choosing instead to file a complaint with the Revdex.com. The desire of Legend Solar is to help *** avoid any and all interest costs for the loan in question by assisting in obtaining an alternate funding optionLegend Solar values all customers and hopes to get that process started for *** as soon as possible

We have been through layoffs and are getting to everything as quickly as we can with less manpower than we have had in the past. You have not been forgotten. You can also call the support line for your system manufacturer for tech support if you have an immediate need. thank you!

I have one more question who will I need to contact in regards to service for my solar panels if you guys are making cut backs and possible be no longer in business? Would I need to contact the manufacturer or who if I am to have problems with my system in the future?

Have instructed sales rep to call and re-explain the guarantee which we will absolutely stand behind. It is based on annual production rather than monthly as presumed in the complaint. Have also instructed project management to call the customer to make sure we have fixed any damages. No damages other than inconvenience were listed in the original complaint asking for $7000.00 as a remedy for lost time.

I am rejecting this response because I am waiting for the refund. This offer of a refund, to my Revdex.com complaint, is the first time Legend has responded in any way to my request for a refund (first delivered by certified mail two months ago.)Because Legend has promised refunds to other customers who have yet to receive them, I am skeptical of the company's promise. I will be happy to accept the company's response and close this case only after I receive full payment of the $13,338 I placed as a down payment on the project that they abandoned.

Below is the response I was trying to upload and the attachment to go with it (labelled "Legend Solar email chain"):Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:  Legend Solar already offered me the $450.00 refund for breach or contract. Legend Solar failed to pay in the 45 days promised. Legend Solar refuses to give any sort of estimated dated for payment. I need the refund payment now or an adjustment to my Legend Solar loan that I'm paying on monthly. This needs to happen now as Legend Solar already missed the promised 45 day payment. Please see the email chain attached from myself and Legend Solar as proof of this agreement, that it has not been paid, and there is no ETA. There are 42 messages, I have highlighted in pink some messages on pages 4 and 5 that show that Legend Solar accepted fault, agreed to pay, then failed to pay, and refused to give any sort of estimate for payment.Another promise from Legend Solar will not meet resolution at this point. I need paperwork- either a check in the mail or an adjustment of my solar loan to reflect the $450.00 lower amount due. That is the only way resolution can be met.Sincerely,[redacted] Sincerely,

We are currently working with the ETO to arrange the customer's install time. We will update the customer as soon as we have to come to a conclusion with the ETO and have specific details for the install. Tell us why here...

Legend Solar has never reached out to me. They have never tried to help me over this matter. They are a bad business and I will let everyone I know not to do any business with them.

Our apologies for the delay. We are still capable and planning to complete the install. We have been through some layoffs recently and have been trying to get to everyone as quickly as possible. We will cancel the contract and process the refund if that remains the customer’s wish. Thank you!

I am rejecting this response because: I appreciate very much the acknowledgment of the problem, understand cutbacks and...

hope for a solution.  Given the 6 months of waiting, many excuses for delays on panel cleanings during those 6 months instead of truth given the cutbacks, and non response to a requested bid for additional panels after many phone calls, I believe it is reasonable to ask for and receive a timeline CERTAIN of when to expect these cleanings.  I would also appreciate current phone number and address to verify my understanding that Legend Solar is no longer located in Salt Lake City. Thank you.
